It comprises of 11 states and 2 territories and the capital of Paradeavenlisian States is Jatherondia. The nation was first formed in 1016 when the archipelago was divided into 3 tribal confederacies:Paradisia, Heavenlonia and Stralisia. Around the mid-2020s, Charmaine proposed a socialist economic system, whereby the factories, production centres, and basically the entire Valentian economy would be owned by the government and the states, while wealth will be distributed evenly, though not excessively evenly. It was like a semi-communist state, and it worked… for a few years. The production rates have declined, and with little to no incentive to do better or to create better products (after all, buying and selling was heavily monitored), the system was deemed as not so favourable by the other economists, as well as with the general populace. With that, Charmaine proposed a better Valentian economy, the one that runs on limited capitalism with some degree of socialism and communism involved, but nothing too much. In other words, businesses can receive an incentive to kickstart themselves, in order to get them to be motivated to serve the people, while for the huge businesses and companies that are operating in Valentine Z, contracts and protection laws were made and have to be signed so as to protect the people’s interest, as well as to prevent the large corporations from using their clout and earnings to create a monopoly or to bully their consumers around (e.g. charging anything they feel like, creating excessively luxurious products, or exploiting workers). Your nation's full name: Great Bountiful Empire of the United Turtles, Mushrooms, and Men of TurtleShroom

Your nations size: Parts ofTurtleShroom are still uncharted, but it is believed that TurtleShroom is approximately the size of RL Africa. { OOC: This guess was arrived with the help of friends in my Region. }

The Great Bountiful Empire of TurtleShroom is an illiberal, guided theodemocratic, constitutional monarchy arranged in a confederation of Parishes under the Crown. Approximately five hundred million creatures in its general population are non-humans, with the dominant races being sentient* turtles and sentient* mushrooms.

Initially founded by Missionaries representing the majority Russian Puritans (they were not true English Puritans, but their asceticism was identical despite not being as bloodthirsty or cruel) and minority Anglo-Saxxon Baptists that were expelled, the Baptist denomination (which overtook and united both) represents a supermajority of Christendom in the country. Behind that is the Russian Old Believer denomination of Christianity, which largely escaped to TurtleShroom after the Niekas split.

The initial Missionaries mentioned above, in a spectacular display of compassion, managed to orchestrate what is called the "Miracle of TurtleShroom", in which the non-human populations who worshipped Tengri paganism mass converted to Christianity over the next hundred or so years.

Prior to unification, the period called the "Adhocratic Anarchy" lasted seven years, which was squabbling primarily between the three species (turtles, mushrooms, and men) concerning the organization of government. The consensus had long been reached that the non-human states and the Missionaries should unite. During this period,TurtleShroom was essentially a conglomerate of judges and local Church leaders and converted tribal elders. Each species had their own demands for the new state. The humans were very sympathetic to the rising demands for democracy and Enlightenment though, while the matriarchial turtles demanded full gender equality and, along with the mushrooms, more rigid hiearchies.

Enter Jones Found, TurtleShroom's primary primary Framer (basically TS' George Washington), a long-haired, wandering, Old Believer Orthodox monk who is believed to have been from the old Ruthenian regions of Imperial Russia. He spoke Ukranian as his first language and somewhat coherent Russian. Through a series of brilliant diplomatic moves, his passionate and deep Christian faith, and raw charisma, Found managed to draw together a synod of human clergymen to write the First Constitution of the new state, ceding to the important demands of the turtles and mushrooms.

Upon the ratification of the Constitution on October 13th, 1796 AD, the Khans of the two non-human (turtle and mushroom) states both abdicated and declared Jones Found their heir. Translated from the non-humans' Mongolian, the Russian title meant "Khagan of Turtles Mushroom" in English. It is from "Turtles Mushroom" that the name "TurtleShroom" came to be. Jones Found abdicated immediately after his coronation. Humbly refusing to reign with the imperial crown and adhering to an agreement established by casting lots, two non-humans were appointed as the Constitution's prescribed Kings and heads of state in Found's place. Jones Found then vanished without a trace, and TurtleShroom was born.

The modern TurtleShroomian state retains its Russian socio-political structure, which has made its democratic functions largely illiberal (though not corrupted by fraud) and its people in favor of strongmen for centuries. Though culturally related to the Old South of the USA since the twentieth century, the church/state/police complex found in Imperial Russia and the rigid social hiearchy and political weakness of the country remains in full force. Jones Found, being an Orthodox monk, was the main architect that made TurtleShroom a strong, unitary state. Confederalism and states' rights advocacy has always been the primary opposition opinion in academia, and they finally won in the end.

TurtleShroom underwent a bloody Civil War for nearly four years at the cost of over one million lives. The confederal Great Bountiful Empire arose from the ashes of the old, unitary Kingdom and is now resurging in an economic boom to a status greater than it once was.

Your nations economic system: TurtleShroom's economy is primarily lazziez-faire capitalism, with a significant minority of corporate neo-feudalism in the form of the truck system (company towns/company stores). However, massive and severe restrictions exist in almost every "moral" or "unclean" industry, particularly in sex and pornography. A Prohibition on alcohol and all non-pharmaceutical drugs has existed since the country's founding. However, after the birth of the Empire, tobacco and old-timey smoked opium was transferred to the Parishes, some of which have legalized the former.

How stable is your nation on a scale of 1-10: Eight. TurtleShroom has finally settled into her new order and the country has returned to the harmonious union of three species that made it famous and peacible.

How economically-independent is your nation on a scale of 1-10: While TurtleShroom imports most luxury goods and lacks any sources of workable iron, the country strives to maintain economic self-suffiency (mainly by having reserves and backups should imports be died up in geo-politics or what not) for its government and food supply. In the realm of food supply, this has completely succeeded. Commercial, industrial, and for-profit agriculture are the primary employers in the country by far, while about fifteen percent of the country remain dependent on subsistence farming (this number is down from twenty-five percent).

How powerful is your nations army on a scale of 1-10:

Five. TurtleShroom's military tactics have not been revised since 1933 AD and focus almost exclusively on ancient Mongolian tactics.

Instead of horses, light-weight, speedy technical vehicles with one driver, a gunman, and a creature that feeds the gun machinery and maintains the technical vehicle make up the main forces of the country. Main battle tanks are considered supplementary and exist almost entirely to guard the aforementioned mechanized calvary and infantry. For this reason, they are designed more like bunkers than speedier combat vehicles and are intended to better survive direct artillery fire and other challenges instead of challenging the tanks of other nations.

In addition to its main Mongolian strategies, TurtleShroom's army is entirely trained in guerilla warfare, sabotage, stealth, and tricks used by vastly weaker foes to drive out superior armies. TurtleShroom's army was designed, and intended, to snuff out rebels and problem areas in the endless jungles and swamps of the country, as well as fight off raiders and border skirmishes where TurtleShroom's land meets the Terra Nullus. TurtleShroom's army was not designed to fight the standing armies of other sovereign nations. For this reason, TurtleShroom has never won a war against an actual, sovereign nation, although it did force a Future-Tech alien state into a stalemate when they invaded, allowing them to negotiate a comparably favorable surrender.

Heavy artillery, mortars, and vehicle-launched rocketry are almost exclusively used as siege engines and cannons instead of their usual purpose. TurtleShroom has only begun really investing in airborne combat since the Civil War.

The country split the atom between 2009 and 2010 AD. TurtleShroom maintains twenty-thousand nuclear warheads on immediate, ready-to-launch standby and has fifty thousand additional nuclear-tipped ICBM's that could all be loaded within a few hours. Beyond that, TurtleShroom has over eight hundred thousand nuclear warheads in storage that could be used as needed, although it would take weeks or months to get enough missiles to put them on.

Are there any issues with your nation internally? If so explain: TurtleShroom still tries to clean up the so-called "Zim Belter" rebels that have attacked since 2012 AD, as well as the other rebels and extremists hiding out in the deepest jungles. It is also mopping up the cancer of Marxism that caused the Civil War and is trying to approach a balance that allows leftist dissent without tolerating Marxism.
