This took a few very solid hours.

Just want to say your art is awesome. I've been trying to draw some characters of my own lately, but I don't think I'm doing too good. Maybe I'll start my own art thread here eventually.

Arctic island inhabited by kitsune and other yōkai.
Set about a decade after the world becomes aware of the supernatural. Details on that will come later.
Slowly trying to rework the factbooks and write for this nation again. Sometimes I worry I'm bad at writing but I think I'm getting better

Unfortunately I have to admit I probably would not do the picture justice. Sorry =(

If on a random day I do manage to create something presentable, you will definitely be the first to see it

With that said, have you considered maybe getting an iPad, or even a cheap drawing tablet for your drawings? I mean, the good old paper and pencil works, but to me personally, I would love to have several backups of my stuff.

I have definitely considered experimenting with the technology of the drawing tablet

the flexibility in colouring (and experimentation of) is a huge temptation

do you have one?

Yep, I do have this very old Wacom tablet, and a Surface 3 (not Pro), which I use the latter for note-taking.

I mean, it's good for simple sketches now and then, but at the same time, I don't really art that well, so yup!

Krita is your friend, still. Or Inkscape, if you're looking to go for Vector graphics/art.

I'll consider it but I make no promises (sadly, its been some time since I've done anything on the paper)

I've recently hit a bit of a "mental block" where I'm operating on very low energy and I haven't been able to get myself to pick up my pencil for some time... =(

That's okay. Whenever I have writer's block I just go out drinking and come back finding I've written an entire chapter. Have no idea how it happens but it works.

Alright, its been 3 nights of doodling around with this.

New Witch Queen Annie Holstadt drawing:

I took the previous Annie drawing (from 3/4 view) and tried to rework it so she's facing the viewer with both pale blue eyes. I liked the original white against pink color setup so this was kept.

The blood symbolises her belief in the superiority of magical blood and her willingness to drown the lands with the blood of innocents to build her empire. (I really don't know about the blood though, I'm not sure if it helps or hurts the picture overall)

At the same time, her face is that of a highly tragic character...
