Some locations are freezing tundra, while others are baking desert. The main HQ has a temeperate climate, due to being located in the Allied Connurist States.
Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Universal Petroleum is based primarily out of The Allied Connurist States. As such, most of its employees are caucasian in nature. However, local workers and security can usually be found in areas of operation around the globe.
Please give a brief description of your national history: Universal Petroleum PLC was founded in 1943, a child of the re-emergent Monarchy's desire for military expansion. Amidst the Naval project, a group of wealthy Oil Barons founded Universal Petroleum, a way to provide the Monarchy with the oil it needed for its projects. As the years went by Universal Petroleum's operations expanded outside The ACS to other locations around the world, cutting deals with local governments for rights of extraction. UP-supplied Oil and Gas Stations are a common sight in various countries around the world. During the 1970s to 1990's, with rising domestic tensions and the rising threat of UP operations abroad being attacked by angry locals, the UP Board of Directors bought an unspecified but evidently large amount of shares in several ACS Military-Industrial Companies. Using their influence in both the companies and the government, they purchased a large amount of military-grade equipment down through the years for use as security equipment.Government & Economy

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography:Most of Linathia has a temperate seasonal climate dominated by humid westerly winds. The east has a more continental climate: winters can be very cold and summers very warm, and longer dry periods can occur. Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture:Ethnic Linathians have lived in modern Linathia and it's proximities for thousends of years. The first record of Linathian culture was discovered 4,000 years ago in the rgion of Altstadt. Linathians are mainly Catholic, with several other religions mixed in between the population, Linathians are patriotic and industrious, due to this the stereotype that LInathians are a "no fun allowed" kind of people has spread throughout the entire world. However, many festivals in the mountain regions of Linathia prove the contrary, where annual celebrations recieve tourists and national all the same.
Please give a brief description of your national history:In the beginning, Linathia was merely a conglomeration of Lantic tribes in the mountainous regions of Altstaadt, these five tribes constantly fought for dominance over the scarse resources, this period of conflict called "Krieg der fünf Stämme" or War of the five tribes laster for a staggering four millenia in which tribal warlords would try to dominate their neighbors in an effort to raid their resources and expand their territory. Everything ended when Adlerguur the First, managed to dominate his rival chiefs during the battle of Underland in 998 A.D.
This period of Unification was marked by the rapid development of the nation under the guide of Adlerguur, who funded House Steiner since the first capital was established in the city of Steinburg. By 1067 The 'Kingdom of Länth' was born, until it's fracture in 1589 in which House Steiner was removed from power by Roderick von Heig, this period known as the "Heig Rebellion" ended the ancient line of Steiner rule in Linathia and the line of Heig was born on that period the 'Kingdom of Länth' was remaned into the "Kingdom of Linathia", However, the Heig Rebellion was quickly squashed when the reforms for the catholic church were recieved with disgust by the Linathian people, being a mayority of Catholics, the people was quick to rebel against the imposed protestantism of House Heig and sparked a civil war that ended in 1603 with House Steiner back on the throne.
House Steiner had a crisis in the early 30's where a fascist party called "National Socialistische Partei" attempted a Coup 'd Etat with the failed asassination of King Heinrich, the fascist party was soon dismantled after the case of complot and high treason against the crown was revealed, many leaders were arrested and the NASI movement ended up as an underground small-time domestic terrorist group without any influence to move the crown out from the throne.
During the 40's Linathia became an innovator in armament and aeorplanes, building the legendary Hesslerschmid Me 262 which was the first turbojet fighter. Thanks to this era of industrialization, Linathia's economy flourished through the 20th Century, Linathia's economy continues to be part of a competitive market, thanks to Linathia's aggressive investment of Weapons Manufacture and Security Firms.Government & Economy

How would you describe the political climate in your nation?: Linathia is a stable and modern country. The NRP "National Restoration Party" has kept a very well job on mantaining the country afloat for twenty years, being the most voted party in the country it has gained a small ammount of suspicion by other parties claiming that the NRP is a corrupt entity buying votes in order to stay in power, however until this point in time no evidences have been found to claim this as true. Yet the recent annexation of the Isle of Südenland in the 60's have caused a fair ammount of trouble for the crown, since the Südenland population Linathians in origin but patriotic of their island have longed for independence ever since the Crown took over in 1962.

Coldwater is largely classified in the cfb (Oceanic) category of the Koeppen climate classification. It has rainy, cold summers and mild winters. Its western highlands are significantly colder, with typical Tundra/high latitude climate patterns. It is extremely humid in the southeast (similar to IRL Holland), creating an agricultural eden that was the historic center of power in the country.

Around 91% of the Coldwateran population are of the Coldwateran ethnicity. It is a creole ethnicity, having seen various migrations of Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Latin, Norse, Slavic, Inuit and Hellenic peoples that ultimately formed the Coldwateran culture. Until the 13rd century, the majority language of the Coldwaterans was Middle Kildran, a mix of Goidelic Celtic, Norse and Latin influences. However, given its similarity to English, many easily learned English as the nation entered a period of significant trade with Byrtene and other English-speaking nations. Kildran is still spoken in rural areas. The 9% are largely due to new Slavic and Asian immigration due to Coldwater's strict points-based immigration system that encourages high-skill immigrants who are likely to assimilate. Africans are seldom seen in Coldwater.
Coldwateran culture is largely western in appearance. - 855-860 CE: The little-known 17 year old Frederik, a young Norse-Gaelic warrior happens to land on a new continent after sailing westward with a fleet of 15 ships. He names the land Kyldwater and settles the first city of Fortsittendra, naming himself the Duke of Fortsittendra. The land has an oceanic climate with woods, plains, rolling hills and a dormant volcano in the north. With significant timber, farming and mining resources, it is an opportune location for a settlement. A few natives live there, but it is sparsely populated. Word goes around the Scandinavian and Celtic world and soon his sisters, married to other Viking and Celtic warriors settle nearby with their subjects, forming the nearby settlements of Norðurpunktur (Northpoint) and Skuggivirki (Shadowville), which swear fealty to Frederik's Duchy of Fortsittendra. His sisters and their husbands attempt to influence him to gain power. His eldest sister, Elsbeth attempts to seize control of Fortsittendra outright, using the forces of her husband to seize power. Frederik however, through his military genius is able to defeat Elsbeth's army and execute everyone in her family besides her youngest daughter, who he marries, thereby seizing control of Skuggivirki.
- 858 CE: A separate band of Anglo-Saxon merchants hear of the land of Fortsittendra, and soon found their own small trading settlement some 15 miles north of Fortsittendra, naming the city Cælhon. They do business with Fortsittendra and with the locals, trading furs, timbers and peculiar fruits and crops for gold, silver, slaves and weapons.
- 870 CE: Frederick-Seamus executes his niece and wife due to her "failing to create a suitable heir" with their son, Hróaldr, under the tutelage of a Christian Hellenic monk showing significant aptitude in scholarly and commercial and failing in military matters.
- 871 - 877 CE: Frederik attempts to conquer Caælhon but fails, as Cælhon hires a substantial mercenary army to defend the land.
- 877-890: Frederik raises funds for a second campaign, sending his merchant son to recruit mercenaries and collect taxes. Hróaldr proves successful and earns the loyalty of Norse, Anglo-Saxon and Slavic mercenaries, many of whom had served in the Varangian guard.
- 890-898: Frederik, with the aid of mercenaries conquers Cælhon and grants them new land inland. They found the settlement of Rauðleika (Rathleik). He then crowns himself King of Kyldwater.
- October 14, 898: In a victory feast, Hróaldr, with the aid of the mercenaries assassinates his father and is crowned King of Kyldwater.
- 899: The mercenary band turns out to be an attempt by the Christian Hellenic emperor to convert the rest of Kyldwater to Christianity over time. However, Hróaldr, while sympathetic believes that it would tear apart of his kingdom. His reign would prove prosperous, and he would enact the first codified laws in the country, build significant infrastructure and regularize behavior for both lords and peasants.
- 907: Hróaldr falls sick and leaves behind no male heirs. His youngest daughter, Sanne either elopes or is abducted by the Norse-Slavic sea king Veremoud. With significant instability, Norse and Celtic sea kings begin to invade the now unstable Kyldwater. Without a stable Hróaldr, his armies fall apart and his lords begin to plot their own control.
- 911-920: With the birth of his first son with Sanne, Vermundr, Veremoud invades Kyldwater with an army of 39,000 men, promising them and their families lands and titles if they conquer the land. He is later joined by a band of rogue Inuits who found their way into Norse sea trade routes. This invasion would be deadly, causing significant damage. Running low on funds, Veremoud converts to Christianity and promises to convert the people of Kyldwater, earning money and reinforcements from the Latin church. This leads to Veremoud successfully conquering Kyldwater and at the tip of a sword Christianizing the population. This leads to significant Latin and Norse influences on the Celtic-Germanic language. A band of Latin scholars also land in Norðurpunktur and found a school there, later to become the University of Northpoint.
- 920-1100: The Veremoud Dynasty presides over a significant change in the Kildran language, with occasional inheritance disputes leading to the introduction of Latin, French and Varangian mercenaries that are routinely awarded land and titles. This places a large Latin and Francophone influence on the base Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic creole that is Kildran, resulting in some intelligibility between it, Norse, Frisian and English. While Christianity takes hold, Kyldwater, due to being relatively isolated is far from the influence of the Latin church.
- 1190-1301: Kyldwater anglicizes due to the significant incorporation of Anglo-Norman elites into the military, who would be awarded land and titles. This leads to English becoming the lingua franca of Kyldwater, and ultimately the nation becoming Anglicized, with Kildran increasingly becoming a language used for liturgical and literary purposes. The first instance of the kingdom being recorded as "Coldwater" takes place in the 1301 epic poem Harold's Voyage. Escaping scholars from the Anglophone world are given patronage by the Chancellor of Northpoint, founding the University of Northpoint in 1298.
- 1314-1402: A band of roving Native Antigonians allies themselves with a crusader expedition funded by an Acronian lord. Augumented by seafaring technology found in the East, they sail westwards to a land west beyond a sea. Under the leadership of Count Roland Chanson, they invade Coldwater and successfully conquer the land. This leads to Coldwater falling under Catholic authority. The military rule is harsh, but the Republic of Northpoint, under the rule of academics at the University of Northpoint becomes a powerful pricipality in the Holy Kingdoms of the Kildrans. However, the crusader realm is short-lived, as soon the City of Calhoun leads an alliance that rebels and defeats the crusaders, re-taking Shadowville and proclaiming it as the new capital of Coldwater.
- 1402-1805: The House of Cælhoun (Calhoun) takes over Coldwater and leads it to a path of modernization. Under it, five new universities are formed, including the Calhoun Seminary, designed to train future bureaucrats in the growing regime. Scholars who face religious persecution in the old world find refuge in these "free universities". They codify the first comprehensive laws regulating private property, commercial behavior and restrict the power of the sovereign. As trade and connections with the old world increase, they encourage artistic and technological innovation, generously funding artists, scientists and eccentrics, resulting in the early modern period becoming a period of significant technological achievement. Kyldwater also becomes a noted power in the region and founds the East Vlaadhaven Trading Company, settling the colony of West Aurelia and trading heavily with other regions. This leads to an economic boom in the region, early mechanization and technological innovation. This also sees the rise of the first banks in Coldwater, which continue to comprise a significant portion of the Coldwateran economy. Due to trade influence and the spread of Calvinism, most convert to Presbyterianism by the late 18th century.
- 1775-1805: the liberally-educated Queen Valerie takes the throne at the age of 6, and by 1789 becomes a capable and respected queen. She begins bureaucratic reforms, creates a permanent legislature and forms an independent judiciary. In 1801, she proclaims a national constitution, which is then passed by the Senate. She also sponsors nationalist literature, commissioning St. Kildran's Cross, which is a national symbol attached to the upper-left of the old flag, which is the crest of the House of Calhoun. She also liberalizes market restrictions, supports free trade and limits government intervention with constitutional limits. This leads to support among the burgeoning business community, but with scorn from the aristocracy.
- 1805-1809: The Royal Palace Coup leads to Queen Valerie being dragged out of her palace, branded a witch and publicly executed, installing her younger nephew King John I. However, a brief civil war takes place, with the mercantile class victorious.
- 1809-1851: The new republican government restores Valerie's constitutional reforms. They also begin radical reforms, such as a universal education system, universal infrastructure and a national bank to appease the mercantile class. This proves successful. This massive industrialization changes the landscape of Coldwater, creating a strong industry for arms, machinery and luxury garment manufacturing.
- 1851: The military, under General Nathaniel Andersson seizes control of the government following a bill which ended the suspension of Habeas Corpus and an economic recession. Funded by some financial elites, the military begins to crack down on civil disobedience and gains the support of monarchists and nobles by re-grating titles no higher than dukedoms to unlanded aristocrats. They rule newly drawn up regions -- drawn on the basis of historic borders -- and regional legislatures elected by "electors", literate landowning males of "good character" as decided by mobile military tribunals.
- 1860-1901: The military junta over time grant free speech and civil liberties, albeit with restrictions. Non-landowners continue to not have the ability to vote, and worker attempts to support higher wages and better conditions are brutally suppressed.
- 1902: A miners' strike is joined by sympathetic upper-class liberals from the burgeoning Democratic party and the Presbyterian clergy turns into a revolution. Despite protests, the military does not shoot and ultimately gives into negotiations. The franchise is expanded to all "literate males with demonstrated understanding of national affairs, and free from retardation". The constitution is re-imposed, with greater guarantees for privacy without due process, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms and judicial independence. Women would not be given the vote until 1951.
- Great Wars: Coldwater remains neutral, mainly due to a distaste for jingoism from the 51 years of a military junta. However, they create financial incentives for emigres from losing countries to move to Coldwater, resulting in an influx of wealth and investment. Coldwaterans serve on both sides of both wars, and Coldwater sells weapons to both end. Coldwateran mercenary companies are also commissioned by both sides.
- 1955: The Calhoun Plan, named for Queen Valerie's great-great-great-great nephew, President George Calhoun, Duke of Calhounshire guarantees funding for a national infrastructure system and free university education alongside a unified national examination system for vocational and university entrance. This leads to support from all sides, resulting in President George Calhoun becoming one of the most popular presidents of Coldwater.
- 1961: Coldwater successfully tests its first nuclear bomb. It has a small arsenal of submarine-launched nuclear weapons with yields no greater than 7 megatons of TNT. Coldwater continues to give ambiguous answers as to the existence of its nuclear arsenal.
- 1997: An amendment to the Calhoun Plan grants universal internet to every household.
- 2000: The Social Democratic Party, a rising party successfully wins the 2000 election. It reforms the small pension and welfare systems into a guaranteed minimum income of $10000 a year, $1200 of which must be spent on healthcare, with marginal reductions as income increases until it awards $0 at incomes over $67,950. This proves successful, but results in a small recession due to a modest increase in the individual income taxes of the top 10% of income earners reducing business confidence. While the GMI has yet to be removed, the Freedom Party and the Democratic Party have successfully cut its costs by not adjusting its income threshold for inflation and monitoring administrative costs.
- 2003: The SDP-led Senate attempts to end the two-year conscription law in Coldwater. However, this proves unsuccessful, but a last-minute compromise of reducing the mandatory service period to 12 months ultimately leads to it passing 24-19 in the Senate.
- 2005: The Freedom Party wins both the Senate and the presidency and passes a constitutional amendment making taxes on corporate profits illegal. This eliminated its then-10% corporate income tax. This results in an inflow of capital and foreign direct investment.
- 2017: Gay marriage is legalized in Coldwater following a short battle in the Senate. Abortion remains a regional issue due to the landmark Supreme Court decision Republic of Coldwater v. Fortsittendra.

There is a general sense of cultural unity in Altsea between the blacks and ethnic kaan settlers due to their historical cooperation in resisting Astronean and foreign rule. Other white nationals, especially of Astronean heritage, are viewed with suspicion by the general populus. Immigrants are viewed as a major source of economic problems. The Altsean government has worked hard to combat tribalism, and has for the most part been successful in creating a singular Altsean identity made up of a diverse cast of colours and creeds. The subcultures of mistrust still remain, hidden under the surface.
Please give a brief description of your national history: Astronean expansionism began in the late 1500s with the dawn of sail. Competing with its regional rivals, Astronean colonial marines set out to acquire as much land and resources as they could. They encountered many civilizations, great and minor, establishing trade routes, alliances and colonies across the far expanses of the region. Before long, the Astronean Kingdom had established an empire. At this point in time, no force could match the strength of the Astronean Crown, not even their neighbours to the north.
The "golden era" of colonialism could not last, however. In the early 1700s, things took a turn for the worse. Astronean focus on foreign matters left a lapse in their own domestic endeavours. Soon, they found their own borders being pushed in and pressured from all sides. Their "neighbours" had formed an alliance in an attempt to curb Astronea's burgeoning hegemony of the region.
With industrialisation looming just around the corner, and a renewed competition for dominance, Astronea took made last grasp for resources to cement its place on the world stage. And the foundation under which it would build its prosperous future was the previously recently discovered land of Altsea.
Originally founded as an overseas territory, Altsea quickly became a hub for mining, rich with desperately needed minerals and precious metals. Its location on the cusp of the empire and close proximity to other powers however made it a hotzone for conflict. Between a disturbed native population and germanic settlers who had arrived in the region around the same time (known to Astroneans as Kaans), Astronean authorities had their hands full trying to keep production facilities secure. This tension came to a head in 1812 in what is known as the Aseatic Conflict, in which Astronea came to blows with foreign powers, who sought to incite revolution within the natives and germanic settles in order to spread anarchy and disorganization among the ruling government. They would take advantage and invade in the chaos, plundering mines and coastal tines while the colony tore itself apart.
Arms began appearing in the hands of the germanic peoples, who were now calling themselves "Kaans" after the Astronean nickname began to stick, as well as the indigenous population who aggrevated the Kaans by attacking their settlements and farms. The ensuing violence caused a divide between the natives, Kaans and the colonial government. Facing a full blown insurrection, with Astronean settlements and government facilities attacked in the fighting, Astronea, attempted to strike a deal between the warring factions. While the region was in turmoil, the northern alliance had landed marines on the coast and began capturing strategic points across the south. Astronea would grant both parties partial independence and self governances with their own territories, however under Astronean supervision. In return, the Kaans and natives would have to fight for their independence, and drive out the enemy.
Some members from both communities were initially skeptical, however goodwill gestures from the government in the form of devolution of local powers and material gifts showed promise and an agreement was made. Now with a large domestic pool of reinforcements to draw from, the Astronean colonial forces who were initally being torn in two between peackeeping and defending against foreign invasion were in a much better position to counterattack.
The Altsean Volunteer Corps, established in face of the pact to fight the aggressors, became one of the most distinguished units in the entire conflict, comprised of Kaan, native and Astronean alike. A bloody land and naval campaign saw the eventual ejection of foreign forces from the Altsean mainland.
Astronean forces reestablished control of the island, peace was restored and territories divvied up as promised. Interim governments were established in Kaan and native lands, both with their own unique constitutions. For a time, these two entities coexisted alongside one another, while business in Astronean controlled Altsea went on as normal.
Tensions in the region rose again in the early 1900s when communism first became popular in the region. Foreign agents began spreading seeds of socialism and insurrection among the local populace, resulting in civil uprest.
A brief but bloody uprising once again saw the region brought into instability. However, the Astronean colonial authorities responded differently this time. Since the failure to establish a constitutional monarchy in Astronea, a secular government took its place and immediately deposed the royal family. The secularists were decidedly more Authoritarian than the Crown, and took a different approach to foreign policy.
Where the Crown would previously mediate and come to settlements in Altsea, the secular government ruled its imperial subjects with an iron fist. The rebellion was swiftly and violently crushed by the technologically superior Astronean forces.
The crushing defeat for the revolutionaries saw all of Kaans territory annexed and the natives subjected to what some consider genocide on the part of the Astroneans. These wounds remain unhealed for the Altsean people even today. Altsea went on to become an Astronean protectorate/overseas territory once more until Altsea's declaration of independence. Altsea did retain its own military and government, with a strong local industry, but they were firmly under Astronean control.
Prior to the 1985 Altsean declaration of independence, the Astronean and Altsean authorities fought a 20 year domestic insurgency in Altsea, this time from both indigenous blacks and some Kaans. Learning from mistakes of the past, however, the insurgency was fought intelligently using Counter Insurgency tactics which proved to limit civilian casualties while dealing with the rising insurgent presence. Altsea's security forces became adept at dealing with the insurgency under Astronean tutoring.
However, hostile nations on Altsean borders provided arms and refuge for these insurgents and the problem persisted until the official withdrawal of Astronean troops from the Altsean mainland, leaving only a peacekeeping contingent behind, leaving the Altsean military to largely fend for itself.
At this point, Astronea was facing its own border disputes and had been losing colonies left and right. Altsea's resistance however was the final nail in the Empire's coffin. A hastily planned and poorly executed attempt to regain control of the region after the declaration of 1985 was quickly repelled by Altsean forces, who had inherited a sizeable naval fleet from the Empire. The Empire later collapsed in 1993 after a bloody civil war and diplomatic relations between the two nations were reestablished, however tensions still remain. Altsea remains fiercely independent from Astronean influence, relying on a post-colonial industry and limited foreign investment to stabilize and grow its economy.
Altsea's primary concerns has been maintaining the peace in a historically turbulent region, restricting the growing crime and growing its expanding economy without falling victim to vulture capitalism and having its natural resources picked clean by trans national corporations.Government & Economy

What sort of position do you foresee yourself filling in Atlas?: (geopolitical power and OOC contribution) It would be fun to see Altsea become a hotbed of conflicting international interests. The country has a lot of problems, despite being "stable", and its abundance of resources could make it ripe for exploitation. However with its pretty fiercely independent mindset and not-so-pushover military, it can enforce its borders and combat insurgencies, which would make dismantling it as a nationstate even more interesting.

Mountain ranges line the northwestern borders of the country and the southwest/south quadrants of Acerria are hilly and forested. A large chunk of eastern Acerria is covered by a unique species of tree, the Acer beech, which retains gold to red leaves throughout spring and whose unique nature gives the Republic its name. Most of Acerria is temperate, the southern third of the country experiencing generally warmer and rainier winters than the northern thirds.

While the bulk of Acerrian culture is primarily French/Acronian in origin, it is blended intricately with Luxembourgish, Belgian and Netherlandish. Widespread intermarriage of the Montfortian and Veirte peoples has resulted in the contemporary Acerrian ethnicity.

The tribes that composed of ancient Acerria consisted of proto-Houti, Montfortian(Acronian), and Veirte tribes. Houti tribes inhabited the southwestern hills and mountains, and made up a sizable yet small minority. Montfortian tribes, who spread from neighboring Acronia, occupied approximately three-fifths of northwest and central Acceria, while the eastern portion of the country was largely inhabited by Veirte tribes. During Acronius’ Era of Warring States, some of the westernmost Accerian tribes were conquered by the Montforts. During 236 AD, the Starcé Coalition, composed of primarily Acronian tribes, forms, and began raiding and pillaging the disorganized Houti tribes, and began conquering them about fifty years later. This resulted in a war that ended in the victory of the Starcé, forming the Kingdom of Starcé that ruled over most of northern Acerria. The Kingdom of Veire, which composed of the remaining Veirte tribes, was surrounded on all sides by the Starcé kingdom for over 600 years. In 912 AD, the War of the Woods saw the Veire kingdom gain a small sliver of land in the south. Seeking to recoup from this loss, the Veire Kingdom was attacked on the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the war during the Crimson Wars, so named for the red flags that both the Kingdom of Veire and Starcé used. For 80 years, the Veire and Starcé kingdoms traded blows, with the Veire kingdoms steadily loosing ground. The turning point came in this war when a young, low noble girl named Jeanne, posing as a commander, lead a Veire army to decisively counterattack a large Starcé force attempting to capture their capital. Jeanne, dubbed ‘La Sauveuse’, lead the Veire armies to countless victories before the Starce king sued for peace. Jeanne was married to the Starce king’s heir to ensure peace would last. When the Starce king died with no heirs, then Queen Jeanne was able to negotiate between the lords of Starce and Veire a union of kingdoms, forming the United Acerrian Kingdoms. She, along with her second husband, reigned for 20 years after the union was formed. The kingdom, through good leadership and the settling of ethnic differences, maintained itself and prospered within. The Kingdom was conquered in 1622 by Acronius, which it remained until 1825, in the aftermath of the Acronian-Chazicarian war. The re-established Ablieu dynasty is remade as kings, who then rule for a total of 30 years through two incredibly ineffectual kings. In 1855, a popular uprising known as the Summer Revolution sees a short but bloody civil war between the Ablieu dynasty and the revolutionaries. The revolutionaries succeed and establish the short-lived Federation of Acerria, which is proven also incredibly ineffectual and leads to a second civil war in 1871 between federalists and unionists. Unionists eventually win in 1873, and establish formally the Republic of Acerria. The republic remained neutral throughout the first Great War, and joined with Acronius in the second Great War. Executive authority is vested in a Consul, who is the leader of the majority party and serves both ceremonial and executive roles. Consuls can serve two terms of four years. The legislature, known as the Republican Council, is bicameral, and consists of an upper house, the Senate, and a lower house, the Assembly. Legislators are referred to as Senators or Deputies, respective to their house, and can be collectively referred to as Councillors. The supreme judiciary powers in Acceria are the Supreme Appellate, which reviews court cases of citizenry or groups of individuals, and the Republican Tribunal, which has the authority to judicially review government actions as constitutional or unconstitutional.

Kazaristan revolts against Stasnovan Empire during the same time as the Communists revolt. Communist leaders easily take popular control of the Turkic area
Pretty shortly after the end of the revolution, the communist party makes a metric fuckload of mistakes, and the country just collapses again in like 20 years. During most of what I assume is a GW2 era, there is a very violent and bloody revolution in which the communists come out on top again, probably with Stasnovan help, turning turkic state into a puppet republic
come the 1970s, Stasnov's grip is loosened and the turkic folks are a tad bit tired of being communist and stasnovan, and revolt number 3 this century goes underway
With stasnovan priority likely in other places, the rebels quickly overthrow the weakened communist leadership, and announce a republic
there would be fierce tensions between the two countries for like 20 years or so, until the turkic country, tired of starving and not having things, proposes a series of trade-related changes between the two countries which helps them both
and right now they aren't exactly best friends but they are far from anything considered hostileGovernment & Economy

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Temperate climate with wetland, grassland, and forested regions; terrain ranges from coastal cliffs, to flatlands, to mountains of modest altitude.
Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Celtic people who speak Scots-Gaelic or Breton, and unlike IRL have largely preserved their culture and language, albeit with significant influence from neighboring Brytene and Acronia, most notably in religion, as Ederland has traded its pagan ethnic religion for Acronia's faith (Catholicism or whatever else).

Ederland initially comprises a number of tribes and later feudal kingdoms on the island that gradually integrate by 1570. In 1660, Ederland allies the Brytene Monarchy to invade Acronia, but is defeated and forced into a personal union, which persists for a number of years until the early-mid 1800s, when a revolution deposes the emperor and transforms Ederland into a republic. Ederland is neutral in the First Great War, but joins the !Axis in the Second great war. Ederland eventually surrenders to the Allied powers. Ederland becomes the newest member of the VSO near the end of the 20th century.Government & Economy

The military as a whole will be relatively well-equipped but lacking in operational/strategic-level assets outside of the navy, such as ICBMs, non-ship-based cruise missiles, long range SAMs, heavy bomber aircraft, full scale AWACS and large cargo planes. Will not have stealth aircraft/ships, combat drones, or dedicated missile submarines. May host allied nuclear weapons on its soil but will not have access to its own.
