Between 170 BPA and 0 PA, Thama was a duchy of the Spiral Empire which had conquered roughly 80% of the Arkigian continent by the time it annexed the Thaman kingdom. Before this annexation, the nation had been independent since its conception as one of the first organised states on the planet.

The Duchy of Thama was mostly an agricultural province but also a source of soldiers and skilled engineers.

Truly there are too many to list, but the absolutely most important are Queen Susanna who founded the Thaman Kingdom after the fall of the Spiral Empire, Empress Kassiopea I who founded the Thaman Nikopolian Empire and conquered most of the island of Nikopol (kingdom of the same name included but tiny compared to the actual landmass), Emperor Leon who conquered Kratesia and (in person, leading the expeditions) discovered the Red Island and the continent of Hirosia, and Archon Angela II who reinstated the monarchy in the Empire after the disastrous Thaman Revolution and short lived Republic proved to almost destroy it.

The Capital District Territory, nominally the largest city of which is Roanoke. The Imperial Palace and the houses of the Congress - the Senate and Diet - are in the Imperial City Complex in Swifter Landing. The Supreme Court is located in Kirin, and the Federal Administration is in Massopyke. The Capital District Territory encompasses the area which before its annexation made up the entirety of the Kingdom of Nikopol.

Keepers of the Craftfaith followed by atheists make up the vast majority of the population, with a multitude of other faiths making up a small minority.

All people enjoy different forms of entertainment. Energy has been green for 60 years since the last gas plant was closed down, and all nuclear power is hydrogen fusion or thorium fission based.
