Recognition for a Good Deed Done!

Postby The Bowtie Consensus » Wed Feb 20, 2019 3:13 pm

Is there a place to recognize good deeds that one player does for another? I am just asking because I am a teacher running a school region and therefore cannot directly contact players outside of my region (or endorse them).

I would like to recognize The Sands Casino for being a generally nice person when they outbid me at the last minute in the card market. They turned around and gave me the card costing their nation real fake money! Since I cannot contact the nation directly, I would like to make a note of thanks here.

Is there a better place or way of doing this?

Thank you!

Moved to the proper forum, since it’s trading card related. Have at it.

Thank you Wrapper! Also thank you for founding Monty Python ... I am collecting Monty Python cards!

BTW, is there a thanks or a like button in this forum ... like in our regional message boards?

Thank you!

An explanation, in case anyone cares about the context of this.
The Bowtie Consensus had found a card that they wanted to buy. They had placed a bid that matched an existing ask price. The ask price must have been up for a while, so anyone who really wanted it could have bought it at any time over the past few days.
Almost an hour later, I saw the card at auction with a few seconds to go. I instinctively placed a bid, and bought the card.
This was unfair because The Bowtie Consensus had done all the legwork in finding the card they wanted. I just happened to spot it at auction. They presumably wanted it more than me too - demonstrated by the fact that they'd done the legwork and I hadn't.
It infuriates me when I lose a bid in those circumstances, and when I realised that I was the culprit in this particular scenario, I thought I should put it right.

One day later, I managed to get another copy of the card for my collection.

And The Bowtie Consensus - remember to cancel your bid, or you may end up with someone selling you a second copy!
