The Eacusian War
Image

February 23, 2085

A date that shall go down in history, though in infamy or glory has yet to be determined, for this is the date that the Eacusian War truly began.

Of course that is not entirely true. In fact, for most, the war began on December 25, 2083, on the Christmas Day Attack up and down the continent that broke the tension between the countries of the Gulf of Matadi. For on that day the war with the state of Gwaga, that had declared its independence from Rogoda had begun. Then had come the Dattan Revolution, the invasion of Raigoranka, and then the declarations of war. But one is getting ahead of one’s self. To understand the Eacusian War, one must start from the beginning.

Background

Our story begins in Rogoda. On April 22, 2082 the Rogeno Presidental Election results came in, revealing the re-election of seating President Chentegai Majange-Vera against Senator Shungu Chikawerva. At the time, no one knew the great significance that this election would have. Majange-Vera had won the majority of Rogene voters, save for in Chikawerva’s home region of Gwaga, in northern Rogoda. Here Chikawerva had won overwhelmingly. These results of the election only served to expose the great divide between Gwaga, which held the lion share of Rogoda’s natural wealth, located furthest from the capital city of Rogoda and in the weeks, and then months following the election there began an ever growing call for independence.

Finally on January 1, 2083 Gwaga declared its Independence from Rogoda. Whilst conflict did not begin immediately, within the following weeks skirmishes and border side attacks between the Gwagans and Rogeno began to see casualties rise. On July 30, 2083 the Gwagan paramilitary group, the Kyauta Sojojin was formed under the leadership of Mustafa Jokonya and began combatting Rogeno authorities and civilians in the disputed areas. This gain international attention as they were found using OGS-34’s, a Dutch produced weapon, revealing to many that the government on Amsterdam was behind the insurgency. The next nail came on December 10, 2083 with the Magajin Street Bombing, when a Rogene anarchist threw a bomb at President Chikawerva and the visiting King of Espana. The bomb was tangled with the city’s tram wires and missed the state leaders, falling instead into the crowd. The would be assassin fled, but was capture in a raid in the border village of Kabiji, and in the night, shots broke out and suddenly a massacre took place on Christmas Eve. Within hours the Kyauta Sojojin were occupying the province of Agestina. Here hundreds were killed and thousands injured. Soon afterwards it was revealed that Clem Nano, the Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister had been in contact with the Gwagan government to make war on Rogoda with the infamous Nano Telegram. Then came the continent wide Christmas Day Attack in which over 150,000 people were killed and over 120,000 injured.

The next day, Rogoda with support from Aogau invaded Gwaga. As war raged in Gwaga, the rest of the continent recovered from the devastating attack. Then, on May 4, 2084 the Dattan Confederacy under Ravi Bandyopadhyay declares its independence from the Dutch-Empire, sparking yet another conflict. In the weeks following the President of Visayanes spoke out against the war in Gwaga and Aogaian naval forces began to place an embargo on Visayanes, moving its naval warships off of its coast. In Gali, the capital city of Gwaga, a siege began on June 7, 2084. Meanwhile in Dattan, on September 16, 2084 the Duke of Alençon with 1,000 volunteers invaded the island of Raigoranka with the goal of liberating the Dattan’s, leading a successful campaign in the following weeks.

Fighting continued in pockets across the continent, as tensions continued to rise. On February 23, 2085 the Duke of Alençon and 7,000 volunteer soldiers invaded the mainland, taking the fight directly to the Dutch controlled Datta. Finally came the time for war, and the next day, the leaders of Aogau, Ondas and Rogoda came together with the Treaty of Masefau, forming the Anti-Dutch League, designed to protect the region around the Gulf of Matadi against imperialistic Dutch interests, declaring war on the Dutch Empire. This was followed on February 27 with the formation of the Ternary Alliance; the Dutch Empire, Gwaga and Visayanes in declaring war.

Gulf of Matadi
March 1, 2085

The Prince of Orange was acting as the spear head of Operation Veer, the seizing of control of the Gulf of Matadi. The Thalassic Ocean Fleet had been the ones to be sent off to fight in the Eacusian War, and its goals were simple. And secret.

The Prince of Orange, names in honor of the Empress’ son, Jacques, was one of the newest naval warships created by the the Netherlands. Designed to engage in long range offensives and with several advanced radar systems, it was armed with four vertical launching missile systems and various other missile launching system and one small gun.

The crowning achievement however of the Prince of Orange was the two brand new Bliksemflits-22’s. AI controlled fighter jets that were campable of high altitude and even low orbit flight, armed with prototype atmosphere bombers, as well with multi-beam plasma cannons.

Commanding the Thalassic Fleet was Admiral Marjolein Schopman-Corbach. Having only recently come to the rank of Admiral, Schopman-Corbach was in her late forties and had been apart of the new generation of the Navy. After the horrible disaster that was the Seidanese War, Anna Charlotte has gotten rid of the old guard. This however put great pressure on the commanders. The Empress would not accepte failure.

Admiral Schopman-Corbach ordered for the Prince of Orange to lot in on an enemy Ondasian ship and prepare to engage, careful to remain on the edges of their range as much as they could calculate.

Off the coast of Ondas

The Valiant, captained by Daniel Davis had detected the arrival of the Dutch warship into the Gulf from its position at the mouth of the vitally important body of water. They had then sailed north back towards Ondas, sending messages to the Stronghold which had waited several miles off of the coast to meet up. The Stronghold had been tasked to escort the Vailant, for one had the firepower for defense while the other had the radar range to alert them to dangers.

The situation was relayed to Ondas City, where President Thornhill and his Council of military strategic advisors were directing the war from a safe room under the Presidential Palace. In charge of the navy, under the President himself, was the strikingly quiet Cassius Ryann, Minister of Defense. A bookish looking man, known for his love of his many projects and hesitant nature made his management of the defensive forces methodical.

Ryann advised against the Stronghold engaging just yet. The Dutch navy was powerful in brute force, but their leadership was infamous for being horrible incompetent. It would be easy to see what steps the Dutch take and quickly understand their methods and retaliate tacticfully.

The Prince of Orange’s radar system picked up the the movement of two kabouter, unknown vessels or objects. Admiral Schopman-Corbach for reconnaissance to identify the them, marching a course towards the island nation of Ondas. As the Prince of Orange repaired to close in and take on the potential enemy, Schopman-Corbach ordered the Bliksemflits-22’s to be prepared to take fight.

The intelligence identified as the second kabouter as a Ondasian frigate, though they had no record of the other kabouter. The Admirality at home had prioritized search for information on the larger and therefore more dangerous threats of the Anti-Dutch League’s naval capabilities in the days leading up to the Dutch declaration of war.

The Prince of Orange asked Schopman-Corbach permission to engage as the first Bliksemflits-22 was gearing up it’s engines, preparing to take off vertically from its platform. Schopman-Corbach told the Prince of Orange to begin their assault. The warship launched two Harponner missiles. The two Harponner missiles were fired straight up and then dramatically curved northward.

Seconds later the two Bliksemflits-22’s launched upwards, their wings twisting around as they seemingly hovered over the Prince of Orange before flying northeast. Once they were several miles east of the destroyer, they curved upward, shattering the sound barrier as they reached supersonic speeds and started a steep climb upwards.

The Valiant’s radar alerted the crew of both the patrol vessel and the Stronghold to four incoming objects entering their range, two heading towards their location and two that seemed to be doing so in a very slow horizontal plane whilst climbing rapidly in altitude. The Valiant and the Stronghold both prepared to defend. The Stronghold prepared its own missiles that were designed to be used against fellow missiles whilst the Vailant prepared its guns to strike at the incoming projectile in the case that the missile got through the Stronghold’s defensive net.

The two Harponners from the Prince of Orange cut across the Gulf of Matadi towards the Stronghold, their guidance systems lying in what until they were within what would be field of vision in order to strike at the ship should it have tried any maneuvers out of the carefully calculated path that the Harponners had been fired on. Though they moved incredibly quickly, it would still be several moments for them to make it across the large expanse of water.

Meanwhile, the two Bliksemflits-22’s soared higher and higher, their flight path becoming virtually vertical. They cut through the clouds as they quickly rode a mile over the gulf. Then two miles. Then three. Four. Five. Within a minute the first Bliksemflits-22 had reached over 50,000 ft, joined by its twin a spilt second later. As it reached its goal ten miles over the surface of the planet, the jets leveled out and took off on a course eastwards.

The Stronghold waited until the two including projectiles were over half away towards them from where they had been first detected to laugh two of their own from their anti-missile system. The shot out in a spiraling array, zig zagging towards the two incoming missiles as the Stronghold and Vailant both changed their courses, swing their mighty frames around as the two naval vessels now head towards the southwest.

On the Vailant meanwhile there was mild confusion. Two of the objects that had been observed, the ones that had been going straight up had disappeared. It was as if they had gone up into the sky and suddenly explode, disappearing. It sent a confused thought through the intelligence crew of the ship as they searched for what ever those two objects had been and where they had gone.

As had been expected, the two Harponner missiles did not survive contact with the enemy, the two of them both exploding as they cane in contact with the Ondasian anti-missile system’s strike. The Prince of Orange was well aware that they would need to overwhelm the anti-missile system of the Ondasian Navy in order to make successful kills. This was a fact of warfare, one that the Dutch were well aware of since the horrific naval battles that had taken place in the Southern Sea during the Seidanese War.

However, that was not the goal. Not, at least, for the Prince of Orange. Their attack was half hearted at best, known that there was a chance of failure on the higher side of things. But the main reason was for a distraction. The real killers where the Bliksemflits-22’s. The cutting edge high altitude jet had been designed for aerial conflict on planets that head civilized and uncivilized brings. Lacking cockpits, it instead had advanced computing systems put into that allowed it great speed and movement capabilities.

The Bliksemflits-22 was to exist high in the lower atmosphere and stay out of the range of most naval radars. It’s place to live was in the radar shadow, the conal area directly above a ship and it’s radar system. As it’s computers calculated the location of this cone, each of the of the Bliksemflits-22 prepared to fire. Once they directly above the frigate and the other vessel, they fired, sending their missiles rocketing straight down as the two jets looped around, ready to return to the Prince of Orange.

Thé Stronghold was already preparing for a second volley, taking on the defensive position once against as the Vailant still searched for where the missiles had come from. They were also trying to figure out still what had happened to the other two objects that had just disappeared from all of their readings.

Then the Stronghold exploded. The crew of the Vailant had only caught but the faintest glimpse of the missile coming from directly and had failed to be picked up by their radar and open fire before it crashed into the radar house of the ship, it’s superstructure in the center of a blooming flower of orange flames.

Then the Vailant was struck, exploding and virtually snapping in half as the smaller ship was struck by the high velocity missile. The Stronghold’s safety systems were kicking in, trying to cut off water from entering the rest of the vessel, but it was already listing and it’s anti-fire equipment was struggling to fight the many fires that were blasting through the corridors.

On the Vailant the patrol ship was sinking rapidly and the crew had been ordered to abandon ship as the two halves of the vessel began their plunge into the sea, fuel, operations materials and people being spilled into the water around them. While many of the survivors were in lifeboats, several dozen had to jump into the water itself. Within nine minutes the Vailant was gone.

The Stronghold however was still in flames and whilst it had stopped sinking, it was listing dangerously to its port side. Helicopters from Ondas were en route to them, trying to save the lives of the sailors. Behind then came the coast guard in their smaller boats. The first two helicopters had arrived, pulling several men from the Vailant from their lifeboat.

However, as the crew of the Stronghold was still trying to save their ship, disaster struck. The frigate began to capsize. The weight of so many of its internal operations being pulled to its portside had become too much and one of its missiles had denoated, bursting the hull and allow more water in. It splashed down, crushing several of the Vailant’s survivors and exploded for the third time.

The scene was something from hell as the surface of the water caught fire, burning through the spilled fuel of the Vailant, roasting those trapped in it alive. A few tried to swim under it, but it was so expansive they either were forced to resurface in the midst of flames, or in effect frowned themselves. Not in though in lifeboats were safe, as those made from plastic melted and plunged them into the flames, while those in metal ones were cooked alive.

By them time the Stronghold finally sank beneath the waves, only 23 sailors had been rescued. And only six managed to survive the trip back to Ondas. The Vailant had had 28 people onboard. The Stronghold had had 225.

Aogaian-Visayanes Border
March 2, 2085

General Esekielu Sapani has been put in charge of the Aogaian I Corps which had been tasked with invading the Maigo Strip, the narrow section of land between the Dutch East Indies and Aogau that was under the control of the DRV, the Democratic Republic of Visayanes. The invasion had been approved of by the Prince Regent himself. The plan was to cut across the rocky hills that made up the border lands and take the few small villages of the Maigo Strip. Then from there the Aogaian I Corps would continue south into the Dutch East Indies.

So, in the early hours of the morning on March 2, there was a low rumbled as 248 LI-Blitz’s crossed the Aogaian border blasting through the few checkpoints on the single road that connected Aogau to Visayanes. Since jungle and mountains covered the interior of both nations and it was there that their border lay, and with their societies focused on different directions Sapani was willing to have the Aogaian I Corps merely blast their way along the international highway in order to stream line the attack into the Maigo Strip in order to quickly capture the few villages there.

The Maigo Strip was ment to serve as a mere corridor for the armored ranks. Behind the long line of the LI-Blitz’s, came a train of armored cars and supply trucks rolled along the small road. Sapani was sure that victory was to come to Aogau swiftly.

Maigo Strip
March 2, 2085

The Maigo Strip, named after Frédéric Maigo, the Gênoise diplomat who had helped negotiate for Visayanes’s accusition of the area in the first place many many years ago, was despite the best efforts of the local government was a place virtually disconnected from the rest of Visayanes. Located on the other side of the rocky Timug Tumaas Mountains it was virtually impossible to get from there to the rest of the country unless one took a plane, of which theventire Strip had but one, a small charter airport used for government authorities and supply planes from the rest of the country.

The single seaport was the fishing village of Maigo, where the local authorities, wishing to promote the province to the many ships that passed in and out of the Gulf of Matadi had begun the process of constructing a full on harbor that was still under the process of being built even after years of funding. Thus it is only natural that there was little interest in the Maigo Strip in comparatively far away Beresteras. And it was only natural that there was no great army waiting for the Aogaians as they shot their way through the checkpoint that was the entrance in and out of the two countries, which had before today only been used 12 times.

The Premier of the Maigo Stripe, Addison Jerardo Martins Belisario was frantic in his call to the capital city, screaming into the phone to the Presidential residence about the invasion as the Chief of Police with 150 police officers and 1,220 volunteers blockaded the road into the city with the laying of spikes and barriers whilst arming the militia with the few spare funds that they could muster along with smoke bombs and tear gas to use against the approaching army. The other villages can not even put a fight against the enemy.

However despite the desperate and panicked calls from Maigo, there is no response from the President and no troops are sent to assist them. At noon, Premier Belisario is quietly informed that the President is not in the capital.

Sapani was pleased to find that his prediction had been right. Already they had taken three villages the Visayanes without so much as a single shot fired. His prediction had been right. And as the hours passed he could see that the Visayan and Dutch could not possibly be in contact with one another. There was seemingly no consequences, no defensive positions that the Visayan had taken up, there was no sign of air support or naval support or even a hint of ground reinforcements. They had abandoned Maigo to him.

At least that was what Sapani had thought until he was informed of the ‘blockade’ that had formed around the village of Maigo. The tanks came to a stop in front of the blockade and the officer of one of the tanks stepped out, ordering for them to surrender the city or face the consequences of resistance.

As one of the Aogaian officers approached them, speaking in a language that only some of the local Visayan only barely understood, and those who did only through the occasional meeting of Aogaians at sea, were able to decipher enough that they wished for them to surrender. Unaware of the situation that the Premier was unable to get soldiers from the rest of the country to come and intervene, they decided to take a stand. They shot the Aogaian officer at point blank range.

Ducking down behind their barricade and cars, they opened fired on the entire front line of the bottlenecked Aogaian I Corps, throwing their smoke bombs and cannisters of tear gas. A dozen others seeing the plum of milky smoke rising around the blockade and hearing the ringing of gunfire decided to act as well. Some of the fishermen of the local village grabbed their nets and leaped off of the road, trapping them between trees and where they could, charging the tanks and tossing them over them.

Maigo, Visaynes

The Aogaians were responding in an instant, firing shots before the Aogaian officer's body hit the ground. The LI-Blitz's tanks were far too strong to have to worry about the gunshots coming from the rag-tag group of militia of the Visayans. That also meant that the usage of the tanks' cannons would have been far too overwhelming against such a force, and the Aogaians were not going to be the ones who would be committing war crimes against their enemy.

Still however, they would still defend themself, and they would take this fishing village. They fired at the militia with their smaller guns whilst the tanks behind them rumbled off of the roadway, looking to roll around the blockade, surprised by the rapid and chaotic advance and charge from the fishermen from the village itself. The crews of the tanks were forced to seal the hatches in the vehicles in order to protect themselves from the smoke and the tear gas.

The Aogaian I Corps couldn't advance forward, at least not on the roadway that lead into the fishing village, so the tanks began to back away as they engaged gunfire with the locals of Maigo. Those who had already rolled off of the roadway and rumbled over the rocky tree spotted landscape that surrounded them were far less concerned about being halted. They fired their heavy guns, blasting apart the ground and those who had the misfortune to be near where their shells feel.

The police were forced down as the Aogaians opened fire on them. Several of them were forced to be gunned down, hitting the ground in the midst of the milky fog. Around the roadway the militia was meanwhile facing a much greater force and found themselves being mowed down as the tanks swept across the rocks and trees. The fishermen were forced to flee, running back to the village.

After about an hour they were joined by the police who had started to run out ammunition and were forced to retreat back into the police station in the village. Meanwhile, the town square, Premier Belisario ordered for a large white sheet to be raised in the flag pole in order for the invaders to know that they surrendered. The Premier and the Chief of Police stood outside with a small number of surivors of the failed assault to meet the Aogaians.

The Aogaian I Corps decided to settled down in the fishing village of Maigo for the rapidly approaching evening. They had taken all the villages in the Stripe and they would revgathef themselves before continuing on south to attack the Dutch East Indian border. General Sapani ordered Premier Belisario and his remaining militia force to be arrested and held as prisoners of war in the the local jailhouse.

Meanwhile, on the Guif of Matadi, the Aogaian Navy, informed by their Ondasian allies who had had an unfortunate encounter with the Dutch on the day previous, was on the move. A 10 ship taste force along with the three Aogaian nuclear submarines were making their way towards the entrance of the gulf between Ondas and Dattan where the Dutch had last been reported to have been located. They would not allow for the Dutch to make it into the Gulf.

Matizada Reef, Gulf of Matadi
March 3, 2085

The Dutch Navy had been slow in their seizing of the Gulf of Matadi. After destroying two Ondasian war ships they had lagged around the mouth of the great body of water. Admiral Schopman-Corbach had ordered the Prince of Orange and a task force of six Lodewijk Nagel-Class guided missile frigates and two small gunboats armed with a heavy cannon gun and armed with an anti-missile system.

Schopman-Corbach took on a quasi-defensive position in the Matizada Reef, a collection of small islands dotted with grassy ridges and the occasional coconut tree group. The frigates has been chosen for their low frame and their decently long range missiles, which would allow for them to hide behind the ridges invetween the largest two of the twenty or thirty cays and islands. It also meant that if the enemy wished to advance on them, they’s have to navigate dangerous shallows.

The Prince of Orange meanwhile lay further south from the Matizada Reef, waiting to intervene or to call in reinforcements should they be deemed necessary.

Aogaian-Visayan Border
April 2, 2085

Ariana followed obediently behind her mother through the jungle of western Visayanes, happy for the protective anti-mosquito garment of her uniform as she made her way the seemingly normal armored transport that would shield them from the dangers of the front lines. Ariana was the last to enter the transport. Around them the last of the supplies, weapons and soldiers were already shutting the doors to the other transports that were strategically placed in small cut outs of the jungle.

“General.” Ariana’s mother ordered as she recliner in her seat, Ariana standing obediently at her side. “We May begin.”

At the command of the Empress of the Dutch the invasion of Aogau began. Across the jungle the Dutch Army, in tandem with the Visayan army, they poured across the border. Kobus Hautjie, vétéran of the Seidanese War, was the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces whilst the Empress herself, personally on a war path, was acting as the Commander-in-Chief. The invasion of Aogau was only the first step in the Empress’s plan, if one could call it that. Ariana had spent every waking hour at her mother’s side for the last two years, ever since her father had been snatched by the villainous General Geist. During that time, Anna Charlotte had undergone a transformation. Broken by the disappearance of her husband and faced with her children, in her eyes, being scattered into the wind as they married and started their own families, to seen Dattan, held in her mind as the legacy of her father, it had all been too much. Ariana, the youngest of her children, had become the Empress’s “dear baby”. Anna Charlotte has become only more and more unbending, forgetting her liberal and enlighten youth of the first twenty-five years of her reign.

Anna Charlotte with her daughter at her side had been filled with a blind rage on an unstoppable path of war and blood, leaving Amsterdam to Visayanes to lead the Invasion of Aogau herself. The Empress wished to see her enemies ripped apart in the most brutal manner quickly and with her own eyes. She had demanded a lighting war, harsh and cruel to break the enemy. This, as the Dutch-Visayan Army, over 300,000 strong, charged forward, dozens of fighter jets and bombers were flying ahead, launching attacks on the nearest towns and cities on the Dutch way towards Masefau. The war had truly begun. And it would not come to an end until the Empress’s thirsty for blood had been satisfied. And that may prove unquenchable.

Manumaile, Aogau
April 3, 2085

General Lasalo Faamate was forced to deal with the crisis on the border as he activated the Aogaian reserved forces and many of the few new regiments that had been formed in the month of so since the war had begun, forming the 1st Army, a force of just 100,000 soldiers, of which only half had gone through the usual six months of training. It left him in a tight situation, but he had mustered what he could on such a short notice.

For Faamate, along with the rest of the Aogaian force command the attack was unthinkable. The jungle was thick and in many parts mountainous. Surely no organized force could have made it through it. Yet it seemed that the impossible had been done and they were to need to stop them. Faamate from the village of Manumaile was to halt the Dutch and Visayan forces from crossing the border, and draw them north from the capital.

With hastily made barricades on the roads and with 17 Pulu Pulu mobile artillery guns and 200 Fainu’u main battle tanks, and 9 anti-aircraft guns on their way from Voskou planned to arrive the next day, they were ready to take on the invaders.

Arsano, Aogau

Whilst the bulk of the Visayan army had gone with the Dutch, President Murica himself having met with the Empress over the previous month in the jungle as they drew up plans for their invasion, Colonel Ferderand Cabrera has been tasked with sending the 93th Brigrade south away from the main push into central Aogau to cross the Fa’alupe River that twisted around tthrough the jungle from its way from the Timug Tumaas Mountains down to the sea at the Gulf of Matadi. Because there was no prior infrastructure built across the Fa’alupe River that formed the border between the two nations, the goals of the 93th Brigrade under Col. Cabrera was to use their push into Aogau to swing around and cross the Fa’alupe from the west and swing back around to the north east to seize the city of Arsano.

As the 93th Brigrade approached the River. Col. Cabrera ordered in an air strike against the city whilst his armored cars moved to seize control of the bridge across the River at all cost.

At the call of Col. Cabrera, a squadron of eight war helicopters under the command of Sergent Nieve Ezmeralda Tangco Olarte, nicknamed Sgt N.e.t.o, her initials flew over the border. The attack helicopters were all Jeronimo Watland C206 ATAKs, designed for missions in hot and high environments and rough geography in both day and night conditions. They cross through the mountainous jungle and over the Fa’alupe River, launching a raid on the Arsano airport.

Manumaile, Aogau
April 3, 2085

General Hautjie, against the wishes of the Empress, who wished to continue straight ahead towards the Aogaian capital, decided to engage the enemy at the town of Manumaile, where the Dutch reconnaissance jets had informed the swiftly moving forces of a growing force of Aogaians who seemed ready to attack. Empress Anna Charlotte care not at all for the whereabouts of the Aogaian First Army. Her belief that when they reached Masefau, they could seize control over the autocratic government of Aogau in the form of their queen. It should have been noted to the Empress that the days of nations of people surrender at the loss of the capital had dissolved into the fog of history.

Hautjie feared that if they rushed into Masefau without dealing with the forces at Manumaile, then they would be left with a large force at their back and would find themselves surrounded. He had faced such a situation during the Seidanese War when the movements of the Dutch into the interior of the jungle had been strangled when the royalist and Deritains had been able to gain strategic positions else that meant that they could not do anything but defend an unsustainable position.

Eventually, with some intervention by Princess Ariana on behalf of General Hautjie, it was agreed that they would spilt their forces. The Empress of the Dutch, the Princess along with Hautjie's right-hand-woman, Anna van Couke, would continue southwest towards the Aogaian capital with the majority of the Dutch-Visayan Army. Meanwhile, General Hautjie and a small armored division of tanks would head westwards to Manumaile in orde to hit the still growing forces of the Aogaian First Army in order to prevent the entrenchment of a large force behind their lines and to keep the enemy's from having any chance of having a moment to breath. Hautjie, nor the Empress was happy for the plan, but it was what they could agree on.

Thus 300 or so tanks charged out of the jungle and down the hilly landscape towards to the town with their heavy guns firing. Hautjie ordered that until the town surrendered to the Dutch forces, there was to be no mercy.

April 3, 2085.
Buenos aires, Argentina, ULSR.

The president Valentina Perón was not only the president of the U.L.S.R, she was also the representative of Argentina within the summits of the U.L.S.R. and recently it had become the maximum exponent of the Latin American Communist Party (PCL). The last summit of the ULSR took place in Brasilia and it was 1 month ago, it was time for a new summit to be held to discuss the local problems of each country. But not only were internal matters discussed, but also external to the ULSR. The representatives of each country of the ULSR can have their regional differences but also tend to coincide in many goals and goals at international level and one of those issues was the expansion of communism, since for communism to work it should be expanded to the whole world and this was a problem that all the representatives had to face. The Eacusian civil war was developing some time ago but the representatives of the ULSR decided not to give it too much importance because geniunian problems of higher priority arose but this did not mean that the ULSR had taken its eyes off the civil war. In fact, some representatives like Juano Souza (representative of Brazil) had appointed a group of 4 political analysts to collect information about the civil war (information such as the background, the cause of the war, the political situation and the development so far ).

Valentina Perón was dressed in an elegant brown military outfit, on her cap was a red star and the emblem of communism carved in gold. She was sitting in her presidential office in Buenos Aires, she was tired and since hours earlier she had participated directly in a food collection of the "Eva Perón" foundation (foundation that was in charge of meeting the needs of the poorest people in Argentina) and she needed to relax her mind. She opened a drawer of her desk and picked up some papers, then removed from the drawer a book called "El amor en los tiempos de colera" by the famous Mexican writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Valentina Perón's eyes traveled the words of the first pages carefully, while her eyes watched, her mind analyzed, "Jeremiah se suicidio por que se negaba a envejecer" (Jeremiah committed suicide because he refused to grow old) was the last thing he could read until someone knocked on the door. Valentina presses a button that was on her desk and the door makes an electronic noise, then the person behind the door enters the office with a bulletin in her hand with the seal of the communist emblem.

"Señorita Perón, tengo un boletin que le envia el señor Juano Souza" (Miss Perón, I have a newsletter that was sent by Juano Souza to you). The man who brought the newsletter was dressed in a black business suit and appeared to be 30 years old. Valentina closed Gabriel Garcia Marquez's book and extended her right hand to take the bulletin, squinted her eyes and read the cover of the bulletin, there was a stamp that said "Confidencial N° 331", she turned the bulletin and look a stamp with the emblem of communism that was in the opening of the bulletin.

Valentina spoke to the man who had brought the newsletter without looking at it at any time "Muchas gracias, digale a juano Souza que lo recibi" ("Thank you very much, tell Juan Souza that I received it"). When the man left the office, Valentina took away the seal of communism and opened the bulletin, she extracted many sheets located in order, the first one had the title of "Informe de la guerra civil de Eaucasia" (Eacusian Civil War Report), under the title was a subtitle that said "Hecho por Fernando Mandino, Ismael Zavala, Miranda Together y Esteban Michao." (Made by Fernando Mandino, Ismael Zavala, Miranda Together and Esteban Michao.). Valentina turned the first page and found a long text that said "En este documento hay una recopilación de eventos y testimonios de autoridades cognitivas que descifran las causas y el objetivo de esta guerra" (In this document is a compilation of events and testimonies of cognitive authorities that decipher the causes and the objective of this war). Valentina continued reading the "prologue" of the newsletter and finally arrived at chapter 1, which was entitled "Antecedentes" (Background).

After 2 hours, Valentina had already read the whole report and some words she could not get out of her head, like "Imperialismo holandes, revolucion, intervencion extranjera y comunismo" (Dutch imperialism, revolution, foreign intervention and communism), she rubbed her hands with his forehead and began to think what he should do. Unfortunately, if she wanted to make a decision about this conflict, she should prepare a dialogue quickly, since in a few days there would be a ULSR summit and it would be in Bogota, Colombia.
