You are You except that for 6 months you've been trained by the government to fight. The focus of the training is on hand to hand combat. The government trains and teaches you on how to fight hand to hand, how to fight against people with weapons, and how to use weapons yourself. During this period, you also undergo a brutal fitness training program.
This was part of some strange government experiment that you consented to (because why not? receiving some combat training is cool). During the experiment the government took notes on your performance and had you fill a series of questionnaire. After you're done, you receive some money for your "troubles" and then you return to your regular life.
Three weeks later the following happens:
You miss the last bus so you have to walk home. Suddenly, three people show up to threaten you with knives to try and mug you. You find yourself cornered.
"YO HAND OVER YA WALLET!"
"YA WANNA DIE?! DO AS HE SAYS!"
You look around, there is absolutely no one else around. The three muggers look like hardened criminals with lots of tattoos; they look quite fit. They are all taller and bigger than you are. The knives they are wielding are very large switchblade knives. You have no weapons with you, which is a substantial disadvantage.
They are standing very close to you with their knives out.
You remember that you have the military training to fight them... but this is also the real world and you could die for it.
Your wallet contains your healthcare card, credit card, ID card, about 3,000 USD cash, some photos of people special to you, an unopened RP pack for a video game, and an Ultra-rare shiny Blue Eyes White Dragon TCG card in card protector.
So the question is:
Do you fight them?
Or do you hand over your wallet and quietly go after (presumably they don't want to murder you)?
Please justify your decision. Please try to be as realistic as possible and factor in the substantial possibility of you dying/getting injured.
The poll options are as follows:
1. I fight them (you are allowed to use tricks)... I might die or get injured for it but its time to try and teach these street thugs a lesson. My military training will give me an edge even in a 3 v 1 if I strike fast enough. I CHOOSE TO PROTECT MY WALLET!
2. It would be cool to fight them but I'm not stupid. I'm not dying for the contents of the wallet (or even risking it). I'm tempted but ultimately, I choose not to take the risk.
3. HELL NO. I'm surrendering. Take my wallet, just leave me the hell alone. I want to go home.
I carry around a bit of money. But never more than 200. And that's rare.
