UAFA League (TWI Only)

Postby Athara Magarat » Mon Feb 18, 2019 8:52 am

THIS IS A PLACEHOLDER IMAGE!

What the heck is this?

Namaste, everyone! This is the totally not Champions League rip-off style football competition between various clubs of the Union of Argean Football Associations (UAFA).

What the heck do I do now?

Submit your teams (4 clubs per nation). For example:

Code: Select all
Offensive:

Defensive:

Goalkeepers:

Defenders:

Midfielders:

Forwards:

Formations:

What's more?

Originally I was planning for this competition to be between UAFA nations (Athara Magarat vs San Montagna type). But I get the hint that not all nations in Argus like football as sports or will take part due to various reasons. Hence I am putting 4 teams per nation rule.

What do I use for my lineup?

http://lineupbuilder.com/new.php

OR

https://www.buildlineup.com/

How will this be fair?

The stats you give will be worked with

https://www.leaguesimulator.eu

And please...no 10 & 10 teams (the ratings go only up to 9...you fools :P )! As the IFAF and UAFA regulation boards have stated, each team will be allocated 14 points.

Let me explain here;

Western Chatha, winners of 2018 Dragon Division League, for example will have the balanced setup -

Offensive: 7

Defensive: 7

Marubhumi Lizards, winners of 2018 Dragon Cup Final, for example favor offence -

Offensive: 9

Defensive: 5

14 in total for both teams. What we mean is, you are free to do as you please but do choose wisely. Meditate for at least 10 minutes before using those points. Thank you for your time. I will take my leave for now.

Nice San Montagna. Considering our relations, would be fun to have specifically Western Chatha and Chyo-bang FC as rivals :)

Four teams so far. Let's wait for more.

Yeah, I just didn't read closely enough and I don't have any individual teams skilled enough for a League like this. My average team would be capping out at skills around 6. My national team is a bit better, but the players are scattered across the Isles, so that doesn't work. No point in putting in teams with skills at 3 and 6, or 4 and 5.

I'd like to keep abreast of this, especially if there's going to be a similar thing out east

Remeber that Gael football competition where a team from Ostehaar won? This is basically that but for Argus.

And another reason why this is club-based rather than national teams is cause, ya know, not many nations out there and not many football crazy nations out there. Even football crazy Gael had club-based championship.

Indeed, for a while I was actually thinking of having MSFC, UAFA and CEFA nations fight it out but that would not make much sense.

I saw the map and didn't even read the post, I just shot down and posted a national team list. Then I noticed everyone had city names attached and I got sad. My national league is less skilled than your teams and wouldn't even qualify for this sort of competition.

I hate to slow the roll here, but would you be willing to hash out with me exactly what delineates this from the cup competition? I think if we gave it a slightly more distinct identity then we could make things a little more clear. And I could roll out a CEFA league simultaneously, maybe we have the champs from both duke it out a la the world series. But that's not as important as just clarifying the relationship between this and IFAF I think

IFAF Western Isles Cup takes place between IFAF member nations, UAFA League on the other hand takes place between teams aligned with respective Argean nations where they are based; with said nation's governing football associations being under UAFA which is itself a branch of sorts of the IFAF.

Basically this entire takes place because the IFAF board said okay to its very existence and supervise UAFA officials on the competition. Refrees are a good example as to why we need linkage with/patronage of IFAF. The IFAF board most likely has been ICly providing UAFA and CEFA with refrees from other regions.

Indeed in Real Life, European champions and South American top teams do face-off against each other in the Intercontinential Cup or something. Indeed I was hoping for finalists of UAFA competing against finalists of other region's cups. And again, this sort of thing will not happen unless IFAF board says okay.

Okay that all makes sense, I'm just going to make sure that for the East we call it like, CEFA Club or something to make it clear. And I'm glad you're down for some sort of inter-league match at the end, do you know if the other branches are down for that too?

This is not a signup but an inquiry, have you ever tried using Xkoranate to scorinte your tournaments?
Usually the standard-bearer for most sport on NS was wondering how you scorinate results.

I used Xkoranate for other sports but not football :)

Leaguesimulator plus the link below work excellently together.

Worked greatly last time in the MSFC Cup and MSFC Solidarity Cup.
