The Civil War
Whilst the communists are easily crushed due to their disorganisation and wildcat-like actions (although it is noted that their full defeat may take some time), little advance has been made against Calonder's forces. Many are worried as Switzerland continues to fall into instability: a state that had seen peace for 100 years now begins to crumble. Several thousand have already died in the few sporadic days of fighting, and many communist forces have started a state of almost self-destruction: large swathes of countryside have been set alight by the communists in order to cause chaos and panic. This turns much of the public against them, but many are still ready to defend them, they always were.
Switzerland joins the Weltkrieg/World War/Première Guerre Mondiale/Prima Guerra Mondiale/Первая мировая война
Calonder, however, in a desperate attempt to get help, declares war on the Central Powers:
"The legitimate government of Switzerland declares that we will stand for democracy and for freedom, and so hereby declare war on the barbaric and rapacious Central Powers! For Swiss freedom!"
In response, the Technocratic Council has also declared war on the Entente, citing pro-Entente Calonder as his main reason, but also Swiss irredentism regarding France. The Swiss reserves and the Citizen's militias have been mobilised, with forts being quickly filled just before the declaration of war. Switzerland is at war.

The German front
The German front was static, it was the unpleasant truth that every man in the genral staff had to face, a mixture of German counterattacks and vast casualties taken when attempting to simply claim a mile of territory was intolerable and so began a new type of warfare: trench warfare. Both sides of the front were lined with numerous and vast lines of trenches, of course the French were a slight bit more fortified their trenches were lined with bunker crabs that had dug into their terrain and of course looming above them all were the four great moving fortresses standing as vigilant sentinels over the battlefield. Yet these fortifications were not enough for the French military, the German's advances in gas warfare made their entire line potentially irrelevant in the face of these abominable weapon, so a solution to this problem was devised. Beneath the great trenches a vast and complex tunnel network was created using the vast surplus of burrower torpedoes that had become somewhat useless in the face of German defences and so instead they had carved out vast kilometres worth of tunnels.

These tunnels were practically self contained from the outside world with hospitals, depots, kitchens and even command headquarters based down beneath the Earth, to combat with German gas techniques the tunnels received air through a number of filters and where those could not be supplied tunnels were dug down to the water table where the gas would hopefully dissolve in these large homemade wells. The size of the tunnels was immense, reaching great distances in front and behind the trenches, some of the tunnels were only a few metres away from the German lines and occasionally penal squads fated for death row were sent into the Huns trenches, the tunnels behind them destroyed forcing them to march into a veritable hive of Germans. The tunnels leading behind the trenches were made so that the French could retreat in case their defences were knocked down by the Huns.

This stalemate continued until something entirely unexpected happened: The Swiss had gone insane. The French military high command had received a message that the technocratic government of Switzerland, while locked in civil war, had elected to declare war upon Entente just after Italy had proclaimed victory on the Austrian front not only this but the technocratic government's rivals in the civil war had determined that their best course of action was to declare war upon the central powers. Switzerland had declared war upon the world, while being initially laughed off by the French military command the Swiss upstarts did pose a significant problem, it would draw away forces from the German border and leave them vulnerable to attack and no doubt the Germans were thinking the same way so a message was made and sent over to the other side of the trenches
To: Whomever it may concern within the Germen military high command
From: High marshal Henri Aloquin
We here in the French military high command have no doubt that you have received a formal declaration of war from the Swiss authorities and have heard new that the Swiss have also sent a formal declaration of war to the Entente. This poses a direct threat to both of our war effort and to the integrity of Europe, the Swiss cannot be permitted to spread their godless technocratic ideology so I propose a meeting in Nancey to discuss a possible truce and strategy against the repugnant Swiss. We hope to hear your response soon.

French weapon development
The nature of warfare was growing less and less about weather your were able to defeat an enemies armies in the field and weather you were bale to disable the core functions that made a nation tick. it was at an unnamed chemical plant on the outskirts of Caen where one such weapon was being developed. This weapon was a herbicide of particular potency that had been rushed into development ever since the Germans demonstrated their capabilities with gas warfare, since then an untold amount of greenery had been cruelly murdered in the creation of this herbicide which was finally entering a stage in which it could actually be considered for military use. A number of officials from the French air fleet had already approved of it's usage in the field. All that mattered now was to strap the stuff do a plane and try it out, fortunately a perfect target had presented itself in the form of a few insane Swiss.

the Swiss front
The 4th French army had returned home triumphantly however instead of a great celebration in their honour all they were to receive were new orders to turn to the Swiss front. The French did here what they did so many times before, they created a vast defensive line along the Swiss border, earlier plans of a possible invasion of Switzerland detailed a great advance to seize Bern however until a message came back from the Germans no such advance would take place, instead a far smaller offensive operation would ensue with the sole objective of taking Geneva. The offensive began in the crack of dawn the citizens of Geneva had been fearful of an attack from either communists or republicans yet they and cities garrison had been in no way expecting an attack from the border. As the tripods of the French republic entered the outskirts of Geneva the Swiss defenders desperately gathered whatever anti-mech weaponry they could and began to lay down heavy fire upon the tripods, by the end of the day the tripods were repelled yet this was only the first wave.

After the tripods came the bulk of the 4th army, masses upon masses of infantry men combined with bunker crabs and tripods now began their full on assault. The outskirts of the city quickly fell, the garrison had been ground down by the bulk of the fourth army and had been forced back inside the city abandoning their heavy equipment in the process. Without their equipment the garrison was doomed, the heavy machines of the fourth army were able to move in and after a three day long urban battle force the garrison to retreat from the city. By the end of the week the French tricolour flew from the Cathedral St-Pierre. With the fall of Switzerland's second most populous city the fourth army couldn't help but dream about the celebration the would recieve when they got home.

Advances on land were not the only operation being carried out, a mass bombing campaign had been carried out above Switzerland. With their nation completely locked off from any possible trade routes bombers would specificly target farms with both conventional bombs and a new type of herbcide coming out of France proper called 'la petite mort' the little death. This herbicide did not only kill an entire crop but rendred the land they were farming upon almost completely infertile for as long as the chemical remained in the soil. The bombing campaign did not only target farms but industrial complexes as well, the aim of the entire campaign was to break the will of the Swiss people, force them to despise the Swiss governments for their idiotic descions, with this campaign proving highly effective the war should be over by christmas.

French Front
Whilst Calonder continued to celebrate despite his continued battlefield losses due to French intervention, the Swiss Citizen's Militia had begun to blow up bridges, evacuate supplies and civilians, burn fields and, working with those in the forts, form a large defensive line constantly firing at the French. In Switzerland, there was no such thing as trench warfare. Caltrops, spikes, landmines: every step forward was a step towards death. The Swiss had crossed their hearts, knowing that their homeland was at stake and that the French were such fools for invading Switzerland. Another sickly campaign, another long fight. The Swiss knew this was going to be long and gruelling. Large cannons fired huge loads of bullets and shells at the French, hoping to devastate them.

A million men dead over one mere centimetre of ground: that was the rallying cry of the Swiss. They were ready for blood and for dead.
Swiss Civil War
BREAKING NEWS! Calonder has just been executed! After a surprise raid in Bern by the Swiss army thanks to some spies and a few soldiers, Calonder was hung and drawn, and Switzerland was now fully behind the Central Powers.

Casualties:
Swiss Government: 20,000
Swiss Democratic Forces: 35,000
French Army: 50,000

{ CORRIERE DELLA SERA }

Diplomacy/Homefront

The Austrians had surrendered, and Italy had gained all of its Irredentist goals in a single war. The once feared Austrian Empire, nothing more than a shard of time. Italian forces in the old empire’s land had retreated to its newly acquired borders. Diplomats and NIS operatives were sent out to the newly established nations to help prop-up their governments. Yet, these nations were still fully independent, at peace, and neutral. But, the Italians weren’t done in Europe. The insane Swiss have decided to declare war on both the Central Powers and the Entente. Desperation gets to the craziest of people. The Italian government has condoned the actions of the Swiss people, and have discussed with the French and Germans about dividing Switzerland between the 3 Powers. The Swiss thought they could attack both sides and get away with it, but they were sorely mistaken.

Meanwhile, King Victor Emmanuel III declared the First Italian Empire and himself as it’s First Emperor. The Roman Catholic Church has given their full support to the new Emperor, making Italian Catholics obligated to support the Regime. Parliament still existed, yet it’s Powers we’re severely limited. The Prime Minister, Antonio Salandra, was fired by Emperor Emmanuel I. Mainly due to his poor management of the growing Socialist/Fascist movements in Italy. The new Prime Minister, Ivanoe Bonomi, was directly appointed by the Emperor himself to fix the issues of his predecessor. Young and ambitious, Emperor Emmanuel I had hoped that he would managed to solve the growing political divide in Italy. Increasing centralized rule in Italy has caused many to question the government’s actions. Yet, many are still afraid to speak up due to the watchful eyes of the NIS. New weapons of war have been developed as the demand for more advanced technology to combat the Central Powers. It’s ironic that the Germans think they have the technological advantage. When in reality, many of the weapons the Italians have created were based off of German prototypes, but far superior in every way. The Caesar-class Super Heavy Tank was developed as both an offensive and defensive tank to crush through enemy lines. Exactly 90 of these Caesar-class tanks have been constructed so far, with 410 tanks soon to be finished by the summer of 1916.

Image

Swiss Front

The Italians had planned an invasion of Switzerland since before the start of the war. Upon their declaration, 1 million Italian soldiers advanced across the Swiss border. Both sides were to be attacked, regardless of their alignment. The Italians advanced to the Rhône River in Switzerland, reaching the town of Sion and occupying the city of Martigny, and Brig. The Italian already managed to liberate the Swiss Italians from the wretched Swiss government. The Italians also advanced to the Inn River, reaching the city of St. Moritz and St. Gotthard pass. The Swiss people put up a hard fight, as around 95,000 Italians were either killed, wounded, or MIA. A general bombardment of Switzerland began and continued all throughout the offensive, damaging Swiss ground forces.

Ottoman Front

Italian forces in Anatolia were bogged down due to fierce Ottoman resistance. Outnumbered, the reinforced 250,000 strong Italian forces bravely held the lines against the Ottomans. Coastal Bombardment from the Regia Marina followed by a concentrated bombing campaign from the Regia Aeronautica severely hampered any Ottoman offensives on Italian positions. Over the horizon, 5 figures appeared. They were Dragons, coming right at the Ottoman positions. They launched a breath of sarin gas straight at the Ottoman positions. Unable to put on their gas masks in time, thousands died almost immediately to the attack. This was their chance, as the Italians advanced onto Ottoman positions with the support of the Dragons. It was a massacre, as the Italians advanced to their previous frontlines in addition to taking the town of Ula from the Ottomans.

Meanwhile, the Italians prepared for their most audacious attack. 350,000 Marauders supported by 90 Caesar Tanks launched a concentrated assault on Ottoman lines in Palestine. The most elite Italian forces, supported by a concentrated bombing run from the Regia Marina managed to break though the Ottoman defensive lines. Over 2 million soldiers now began to advance into Palestine, exploiting the breakthrough in Ottoman lines. They began a slow advance further into Palestine, as the disorganized Ottoman forces fall back. A major breakthrough had occurred, Palestine would soon be ripe for the taking.

In Yemen, 600,000 Italian African troops landed in 3 designated landing zones. The first was around the city of Mocha, where the Italian marines managed to land a sizable force in the city. They fought tooth-and-nail with the Ottomans garrison but managed to seize the city in the end. The 2nd landing zone was just off the Coast of Italian Djibouti, where the Italians overran the Ottoman garrisons, securing the landing zone. The 3rd and trickiest landing area was around the city of Aden. The Italian marines landed around Aden and encircled the city, as marines assault the beaches head on. After a few days of fighting, the Italians prevailed, managing to liberate the city from Ottoman rule.

Image

Naval Front

The Regia Marina had secured the entire Mediterranean from any ships from the Central Powers. Now, it was time for the Regia Marine to branch out to other Seas and Oceans. A contingent of the Regia Marina began a naval bombardment of the Hejaz Coast, specifically targeting Ottoman coastal defenses. However, the Regia Marina has no real challenges in facing the Ottoman Fleet, or what’s left of it. Black Hounds had been sent out into the Atlantic to begin hunting down German convoys. Soon, they would enter the North Sea to begin sinking German ships in the Sea.

{ NIS OPERATIONS }

As the Australian Civil War continues to escalate, the Italian government had officially switched over their support to Ned Kelly. Considering that the Tyrannical Government is being supported by the Central Powers, the Italians decided to withdraw support. Ned Kelly provided a unique opportunity for the NIS to spread their influence into Asia. Tens of thousands of Government soldiers were killed over night by NIS operatives in the city. Known as “Night of the Red Knives”, the NIS stole back Italian weapons and managed to bring them to Ned’s forces in Southern Australia. Meanwhile, a man by the name of Leon Trotsky was smuggled into Russia. With the support of the NIS, his mission was to stir up resentment for the new Russian government. He gave a short speech, telling how this new government was just like the last one. Saying how Russia was “still in a war over imperialist ambitions” and under an “authoritarian regime to oppress the masses”. His speech was dropped in the form of leaflets all across the Russian landscape by secret spy planes from the NIS. Whether or not this’ll work will depend on the will and intelligence of the Russian people.

Haddon Corner, border of South Australia and Queensland

Gunmen lined the border. Two lines of men, staring onward at each other. One of the lines clearly at a disadvantage as the ones across from them were armored head to toe in steel. Ned Kelly stood between the lines, his arms crossed impatiently. Waragul approached from the lines across, meeting Ned in the middle. The both of them keeping silent until Waragul finally spoke. "You know the situation in Queensland, do you not?" Ned scoffed behind the metal of his helmet. "Of course I heard all about it. Government boys got you running scared with the planes they got in. Am I right?" "Well...partially so. They've been bringing in airships too, to spy our positions from the clouds. Our AA weapon's don't do quite what we needed them to anymore against the waves of aircraft they've been sending to our camps. I require your army to bring them elsewhere while we get ready to bring our involvement to a peak." Ned seemed eerie already, tilting his head in confusion. "Of course. We could easily break out of this so-called containment these cunts got us held up in and wreak havoc somewhere new for ya. But what do we get out of it anyhow? I trust you aren't fucking expecting us to work for peanuts are you?" Waragul narrowed his eyes at Ned's behavior, a visible frown appearing. "Of course not. Your assistance for this one matter will earn you our assistance for the rest of this unfortunate war. We have thousands upon thousands of guerilla soldiers ready to assist in whatever way they can. But we need you to promise us something at the end of this. Ned gave a chuckle, stuffing his hands into his pockets and earning cautionary glances from Waragul's force of guardsmen. "Uhuh? Whadya want?" "Queensland respectively, aswell as the Northern Territory. Technically all of this land should be our claim, but my people will settle for that." Ned's eyes widened with surprise behind his visor, his hands dropping at his sides. "Fuck me dead, you bloody serious? That's heaps of land you're talking about...if your folk are worth it I'll bloody well consider what you're asking but I'm not guaranteeing nothing till it's over. If you can't accept that then we're done talking bud." Waragul gave a great sigh, rubbing his head in consideration for moments before dropping his hand, extending it outwards to Ned."We'll be worth it. As long as you hold up your end of the bargain. But believe me when I say that if you don't hold up your end, you'll suffer for it." Ned cackled, grabbing Waragul's hand with his own prosthetic. "Of course, I got ya loud and clear! Now I'm going to swing back home, nab some boys, and we'll breakthrough their shit-for-brains defenses. Burn some cities over in Wales. But we got somethin' else stewin'. Just you wait n' see."

From there on throughout the civil war, both the Neds and Aboriginal forces were closely allied in their pursuit against the Loyalists and the Government. A combination of absolute destruction and absolute subtlety wreaking havoc against both sides in the war.

The Siege of Derby

Military forces nearly won the battle initially. Strider units bombarding the defenders in their trenches with fire, tanks leading the defense managed to put up a fight before being ultimately wiped out. Insane amounts of grounds were taken by the Socialists until finally armor reinforcement from Loyalists tanks blew the ground out from underneath Striders, knocking them onto their backs and destroying the stilts. With the removal of striders from the battle, tanks were free to move forwards and allow Loyalists to return to their trenches. Without the assistance of their anti-infantry, the Socialist forces were forced to throw men against the trench lines, hoping for a breakthrough that would never come. Though as artillery bombardments began to fall onto Loyalist trenches they could sit and wait no longer. The enemy forces had to be crushed. Scouts detected a weakness in the enemy lines. Loyalists went over the top, meeting the enemy during a charge of their own. Melee ensued, and it was only through the assistance of cavalry lead by General Chauvel himself that they broke through to the enemy trench lines, fighting for miles through the cramped spaces against the enemy forces and ultimately, coming out on top, with a literal half of the enemy force surrendering, the other half dead.

This pattern continued throughout Western Australia. By the end of the month they had taken nearly the entire province. Though, the price was thousands of lives. The lives of soldiers unwillingly conscripted into the Socialist army and the New Zealand soldiers assisting the loyalists in a country they had never seen before. The border guards of Southern Australia were forced to now watch both sides of their border, as Loyalists or Neds could come at any moment and challenge their defenses. Loyalists began to move into the Northern Territory, with the agreement Ned had made with the Aborigines, this would inevitably force the factions to clash eventually.

Though for now, Ned was preoccupied elsewhere.

The Battle of Broken Hill, New South Wales

Image

Kelly's car hordes charges across the border like a bat out of hell. Ned himself was on the roof of an armored truck, leading the horde of thousands of vehicles behind him. They had broken through the defender's quarantine with more ease than expected. The mere sight of the car horde was enough to challenge the morale of the defenders. Dust clouds stretched for miles behind the horde, the thousands of feral men in his horde saw only endless criminal opportunity in following the legendary outlaw into battle. The main psychological weapon of their horde was a truck, mounted with a massive drum kit and eight massive pipes. The blind drummer behind the kit constantly battered the drums for miles upon miles, each strike of his drumstick causing pillars of fire to burst from the pipes. Skyrocketing the morale of the anarchists.

Scouts sent ahead of Ned's force gave civilians warning to get out of town before he arrived. Giving them a very fair chance to get out of the way before he raided it.

The military responded appropriately to the breach. Garrisons nearby were deployed to intercept the horde, and the worm was sent south as soon as they received word of the breach. As soon as the defenders of Broken Hill began to fire upon the cars, the familiar screech of the worm rang through the air, the drill of it's head breaking through the soil as it's many machine guns began to spray at the horde, tearing apart vehicles with ease. Like before, some turned off, but nowhere near as much as before.

Needless to say this worried the defenders for good reason. Ned had a plan.

"N O W !"

Image

The drummer broke into an unexpected rampage of beats. Slamming ten drums a second, filling the sky above the horde with fire, assisted only by the maniacal laughter of Kelly himself.. Large trucks moved to the front of the horde, burrower torpedoes unexpectedly mounted to the sides of them. Raiders on the sides of the trucks manually released the torpedoes, the drills falling bit-first into the ground and suddenly speeding ahead. The heads of the burrower torpedoes struck the shell of the worm, not exploding as intended. Instead they kept drilling, drilling until they penetrated it's insanely strong shell and bursting into the interior of the tank. Hundreds of men were inside, manning the guns in seats mounted into spinning gyros, to keep them steady as the worm twisted. All of their heads simultaneously turned towards the breach, just as the drills abruptly stopped turning.

The tops of the torpedoes ejected off of them. Armored men crawling out of the torpedo shells and yanking the drillbit off of the torpedo next to them. The gunners inside were unarmed, leaving them only to watch as the intruders pulled weapons that looked like gatling guns from the torpedos closest to them, immediately after they turned their weapons on the crew.

The worm dropped onto the ground, idle as the car horde drove forwards around it's body and into the town of Broken Hill. The defenders fled, but the cars ran them down. Entire buildings were destroyed as cannons mounted on the cars wore away at their foundations until they were rubble. Afterwards the horde settled around the body of the worm, hatches all across it's body opening up as men in the horde piled out of the backs of their trucks, funneling into the worm and beginning repairs on where the worm had been breached.

The horde turned it's attention southwards. They were going to Victoria. Their horde tracing along the border and ripping apart any defenders they found with the assistance of their most recent addition to the car horde.

The Worm Tank.

Letter to the American people

Do not believe the lies of your president. There are more holes in this story than in a block of cheese. First, our U-boats cannot go to the area where to ship was sunk. They do not have that range. Second, we have orders to stay in port so we can't have attacked the ship from the other side of the ocean. Third, the description of the sinking from "witnesses" do not appear to be due to a torpedo but rather detonation charges placed on the side of the ship.

Americans, we do not wish war between our two nations and wish to end this conflict as painlessly as possible and if you join more people will suffer needlessly.

The Mongol-Russian Border
The forces of the Central Powers had begun to stack against Mongolian borders. Many, many reports came in of Russian soldiers being spotted all across the border. The defense of Mongolia would need to make haste in it's operations before the Germans brought reinforcement to the already titanic Russian force. Holding back the tide was a fool's goal against a force the size of which Russia possessed. Mongolia would not wait for the battle to come to them, they would strike first, to cripple the Russian army before they could even lift their rifles.

-The Aerial Cavalry Struck-
Thousands of airplanes across Mongolia were mounted and sent out across the border. Scouts reported on the heaviest of Russian encampments across the border, and the aerial cavalry would descend upon them in the dead of night while the men slept and to achieve maximum casualties.

Bombs were dropped onto Russian camps during the darkest of nights, fighter squadrons were instructed to sweep down immediately after dropping their payloads onto the Russian forces. Mustard gas then being dispensed across camps and bases, the pilots instructed to not stop until the tanks holding the gas were emptied out.

It was assumed that Russian encampments would be more well prepared than Chinese war parties, and would most likely have gas masks for their soldiers, probably not all of them, but certainly a fair amount of them. To remove this benefit, any planes still in the air after the initial assault were to release the rest of their payloads onto gas below. The protection of any sort of gas protection would become null and void when the bombs fell into the gas. The explosive power of the bombs being enough to ignite it, and in just moments the Russian soldiers that weren't choking would be burning. Tents and building alike going up in flames.

It was unlikely that simple camps would be armed with any sort of anti-air defense that could hold off the aerial cavalry. Mongolian casualties would stay incredibly low in encampments like these. It was only in proper bases where Mongols faced casualties. Of course attacking in the night provided them the defense of darkness, but it was not a certainty. In about every base they went to at least 15 planes more or less were shot down by defenders. But it was acceptable loss for the damage they would do.

-Defenses were Prepared-
While on the homefront of the border, defenses were underway as reports flooded in estimating the size of the Russian force at the border.

Two groups of ships of the Aerial Fleet returned to Mongolian skies. With 6 airships in both groups. These airships had massive chains, connecting from them to their cargo down below. A battleship. Each group of ships returned with a battleship underneath of them, one bearing the flags of Italy, the other the flags of the United Kingdom. One would rationally believe that a landlocked nation would never find a use for a battleship, yet Mongolia had for their purposes.

The battleship given by the Italians had been dry docked outside of Ulaanbaatar to make up for a majority of artillery being placed along the border. Powerful naval cannons, ready to fire for miles upon miles looked northwards, awaiting use.

The British Battleship was carried across the Russian border and over literal mountaintops before being dropped into massive Lake Baikal.

Image

Almost immediately after arriving into the lake, Mongolian sailors onboard began bombardment of southern coastal towns. Wreaking havoc through the calm waters in an effort to disrupt some Russian supply lines and create an internal threat in an already chaotic nation.

Mongol men and women went to the borders, setting up defenses in the most critical of locations. Masses of Motorized cavalry and horse cavalry guarded each line in preparation to meet the enemy forces while foot soldiers dug trench lines as fast as they could manage. Artillery emplacements had been placed on the highest points in the steppes, their guns staying prepared overnight in case of Russian assault.

Overall, the Mongols had amassed roughly 400,000 soldiers on the defensive, a great number of their foot soldiers coming from the newest recruits from China. Though this number hadn't counted the forces that were now taking the offensive against the Russians.

-The Cavalry Charged-
Waiting for the Russians to attack when they were ready was suicide. The only clear choice was to attack before the Russians were prepared to move and before the Germans had arrived.

600,000 Motorized Cavalry were sent across the border to flank the Russian forces that the aerial assault had not destroyed and crush them with sweeps along the border.

They were separated into "strike groups" and would be broken up into two parts, each part containing 100,000 riders to eventually rendezvous in the middle of their ride in a prong-like attack on Russian encampments weakened by aerial assaults.

For reference, strike group A1 would be arrive at Tavan Bogd and would sweep along the border, annihilating any Russian military they could along the way. While group A2 rode from somewhere near Kungurtug towards Tavan Bogd, and would destroy Russians along the way until finally meeting with group A1 halfway through their journey. Assuming they had not been wiped out, or otherwise had to retreat.

Strike group B1 rode from Kungurtug to Khyagt, while B2 rode vice versa. And strike groups C1 and C2 rode between Khyagt and Ereentsav.

Every night between their rides planes ferrying supplies and fuel dropped supplies onto the heads of the strike groups before continuing onward, striking the most defensible Russian encampments before cavalry had arrived.

Since the start of the war, Mongolia had only been dreaming that they would crush their Russian overlords and steal swathes of land from under their grip. These dreams were soon to become a reality as the might of the Steel Horde battered the titan of the Russian army.

[Diplomacy/Homefront]

The Italian people were getting restless. Promises of a quick a decisive war were turning sourer as the days progress. Even though the Italians had gained the most from the war by far, many wanted peace. Small protests and strikes have broken out all across Italy. Many, as a response to the growing communist presence filling the void of fallen nations. However, the NIS has begun cracking down on these protests/strikes. The Italian government has also outlawed any Socialist, Communist, Syndicalist, of Anarchist parties to be formed as well as outlawing any pro-Communist papers and arresting sympathizers. The declaration of the Italian Empire and the more authoritative direction the nation is heading has really made people very anxious. Yet, Emperor Victor Emmanuel has used his victories during the war to legitimize his authority, promising that the war would soon be over and Italy would come out on top. The defeat of the Austrians was supposed to be Italy’s end to the war in Europe, but the damned Swiss had to go and declare war. It’s ironic how’s the advocators of peace ended up going to war with both sides of the grand European conflict. Yet we have to get them some credit, they did unite the French, Italian, and German governments together against them. In a way, they did manage to deescalate the conflict with Germany, so I guess they weren’t that idiotic after all.

[Swiss Front]

The Swiss Front began to bog down quickly. The will of the Swiss people is one to admire, yet they’ve made a foolish mistake in thinking they can face the might of the Italian military and come out victorious. Concentrated bombing runs on vital Swiss military and industrial industries have severely effected their ability to fight. Yet, the mighty Swiss bunkers still persist. The elite Italian mountain divisions continued the Offensive in the eastern area of Switzerland, where the Romansh people rest. The advanced across the Inn River, seizing the cities of St. Moritz and Davos. They advanced to the city of Chur, and took the city after fierce resistance from the Swiss forces. The city of Airolo also fell to the Italians, yet fierce counterattacks from the Swiss prevented further advancements. The Regia Aeronautica continued their aerial bombardment of Switzerland, severely damaging Swiss infrastructure and above ground defenses.

[Ottoman Front]

The Dragons saved the naval invasion in Anatolia. Yet, the High Command saw it as a waste of men and resources. With the Ottomans in the retreat, the Italians ordered a retreat from the frontlines. 240,000 Italians managed to evacuate to the Italian Dodecanese Islands, safe from the Ottoman mainland. A scorch earth policy was enacted, burning anything deemed useful. In Palestine, the breakthrough in Ottoman lines was exploited. The majority of Southern Palestine was occupied by the Italians in such a short time. The advance reached the cities of Gaza, Hebron, and Aqaba. A rudimentary Ottoman defensive line was established near Gaza, yet the effectiveness is unknown to the Italians as of yet. Meanwhile, the landing in Yemen was going just as planned. The 3 landing zones managed to connect, and continued their advance into Yemen virtually unopposed. They did fight the Ottomans in the city of Ta’izz, which they managed to take. Ottoman presence in Southern Arabia was limited due to internal issues with the Arabs and Kurds, so it was the prime place to launch a major offensive in.

[Naval Front]

Top of the line warships had been developed, constructed, and manned for the purpose of Italian control over its seas. Before, the Regia Marina was a decently-sized Fleet, which projected its power over the Mediterranean. Yet, it was still comparably weak to most of the Great Powers. Now, it’s a force to be reckoned with. The Regia Marina now has the power to rival the Kaiserliche Marine and potentially even the Royal Navy itself, given time of course. As of now, it’s currently the 3rd largest navy in the World.

Regia Marina Size:

250 - Black Hounds (submarines)
290 - Torpedo boats
185 - Destroyers
90 - Light cruisers
60 - Heavy cruisers
34 - Battleships
12 - Dreadnoughts

{ NIS OPERATIONS }

“The Russians thought the Revolution was over, when it had just begun.”
A newly reformed Red Army, commanded by Leon Trotsky, was readying itself against the forces of the Russian government. After their original failure, since no one was backing them, Trotsky fled and began preparing a new force to defeat the Russian Whites once and for all. They were given guns, ammunition, rations, and armored vehicles from the NIS to continue the Revolution. Their base of operations was in the Pamir Mountains around the city of Tashkent. Other small pockets would form around the area as well in support. Their forces were small, in total around 375,00 men, but they were elite. Gaining experience in the Russo-Japanese war and the Great War, these discontent soldiers were ready to overthrow the Russian government. It began, as Russian garrisons were quickly wiped out, they established a provisional Soviet Republic in that areas conquered. Trotsky knew that the Russians would be here soon, but they would be fools to try and take out his forces. It’ll take more than just manpower to defeat the renewed and experienced Bolshevik forces.

Reports indicate that Ned Kelly and his forces have teamed up with the Aboriginals to take out the Government and Loyalist forces. In addition, the Government Worm Tank was seized by Ned Kelly’s forces. It really was the right move to support the outlaw, as progress has been made on his side. NIS operations continued to support Ned Kelly and his allies. Weapons, munitions, and rations were sent to the outlaw’s forces. NIS operatives were sent all across Australia to wreak havoc to Government and Loyalist forces. The Italian government has openly declared their support for Ned Kelly’s outlaws. Talks between the British and Italians began to discuss the continuing war in Australia and to come to an agreement.

[Diplomacy/Homefront]

Victory in Switzerland! It took weeks of grueling and bloody warfare, but the Swiss government had officially announced their unconditional surrender. The Swiss Front was over much quicker than the Italian High Command would of expected. The cowardly Swiss government fled the nation, leaving its people to fend for themselves. The Treaty of Lucerne has been drafted, signed, and approved by all parties. The treaty effectively disbanded the Swiss Confederation, and divided up the land between the victorious parties.

Treaty of Lucerne:

Article 1:
- Switzerland will cede all Ethnically Italian land to Italy
- Switzerland will cede all territories north of the Rhine River to Germany
- Switzerland will cede the cantons of Neuchâtel, Geneva, and territories in the cantons of Bern and Vaud to France
Article 2:
- The Swiss Confederation will be officially dissolved, and divide into 3 independent states as follows
- The Republic of Sion will be released, consisting of majority ethnically French territories
- The Romansh Republic will be released, consisting of the remainder of the canton of Graubünden
- The 2nd Helvetic Republic will be established to replace old Swiss Confederation, consisting of the remainder of Switzerland
Article 3:
- The 2nd Helvetic Republic will give 10% of their total government revenue to the nation of Italy for 10 years as compensation for war damages
- The Swiss gold reserves will be divided up between the French, German, and British governments; 40% for France, 50% for Germany, and 10% for the United Kingdom
Article 4:
- The independent Swiss nations will be banned from uniting at any point in the foreseeable future
- The Helvetic Republic will limit its military to a maximum of 50,000 soldiers and 25,000 reserve troops; conscription is prohibited
- The Helvetic Republic will be banned from the arms trade, limits are to be imposed on the type and quantity of weapons and prohibited from the manufacture or stockpile of chemical weapons, armored cars, tanks, mechs, and military aircraft of any kind

[Ottoman Front]

The Palestine Front stalled around Gaza and Hebron, as the Ottomans put up an unexpected resistance around the two cites. Yet, the Italians managed to break though, taking both Hebron and Gaza after fierce resistance. Ottoman counterattacks prevent any real breakthroughs from occurring. The Palestine Front is slowly bogging down, but the Italians could see the skyline of Jerusalem not too far off. In Yemen, Ottoman forces are in full retreat. Arab forces began severely hampering Ottoman supply lines in the region, making it very difficult to supply. So a limited number of Ottoman forces were sent to Yemen to try and halt the Italian invasion. The Italians advanced and took the cities of Zabid, Dhamar, and Shaqra. Ottoman forces attempted to halt the Italians in the Mountains, with little success.

[Naval Front]

Ottoman harbors are continuously being shelled by the Regia Marina. Airplanes numbering in the thousands bomb the Ottoman countryside, devastating what little infrastructure was present. The Ottoman Fleet still hides in the Black Sea, afraid of entering the Mediterranean. The Regia Marina has full control over the Mediterranean Sea, as no Fleet could compete with them in their home territory. Black Hounds continue to patrol the Atlantic to seek out German convoys, however the Royal Navy has gotten much of that already taken care of. The Ottoman Empire has effectively been forced out of the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean. The Regia Marina has continued its supply runs to Ned Kelly and his gang of outlaws in Australia, for the purpose of stirring up more chaos and to take advantage of the situation.

{ NIS OPERATIONS }

Trotsky’s offensive was a massive success. After coordinating with the NIS, Trotsky launched his offensive into the Steppes. After connecting all of his revolutionary, the Bolsheviks launched a massive offensive on all fronts. They advanced northwards, up to the city of Karakol. A corporal, under the name of Joseph Stalin, had disobeyed orders and advanced further northwards than ordered. They met with a sizable Russian Army, numbering 400,000 strong. After a quick skirmish near the town of Tyup, the Russian Army fell back with 1/5 of their forces being killed or wounded. It was the first major victory the Bolsheviks won against the Russian government. Meanwhile, Bolshevik forces advanced west, seizing the cities of Smarqand and Jizzakh. Lead by Trotsky himself, he lead the Red Army to victory in the Battle of Jizzakh. The Bolsheviks were making a surprising comeback, but it would only be a matter of time before the Russians send a much larger army to defeat the Reds.

Meanwhile, NIS operatives that were sent to the Ottoman Empire have finally been given the go ahead with Operation Desert Storm. Weapons, munitions, rations, armored vehicles, and advanced uniforms equipped for desert fighting were given to a specific rebel group in the area in and around Mosul. Lead by Sheikh Mahmoud Barzanji, hundreds of thousands of Kurdish freedom fighters rose up and over ran the Ottoman garrisons in the cities. City after city continued to fall. Mosul, Kirkuk, Arbil, and various other cites fell within the week. If the Ottomans aren’t quick to react, the entire Kurdish population may soon be up in arms against the Sultan.

palestine
The ottoman armies in al aqaba attacked the italian lines to their south the ottoman front in palestine was almost going to collapse but thanks to the russian reinforcementd and the skill of general enver pasha the units were able to reinforce
And a counter attack was laucnhed from the north
Hours of heavy artillery bombardment of italian troops and fleet bombardment of italian communication lines the northern detachment attacked after fierce fighting with the ottomans loosing more men khan yunis was recaptured the souther detachment forced the italian troops there and bogged them down from supporting the middle and with the ottoman 2nd army attacking from as safi the southern detachment attacked the italian lines and used mustard gas to make it harder for italian reinforcements the push continued to the town of elat and the 2nd army marched into zefa
In the middle along with russian reinforcementd the italians were severly outnumbered and outgunned thousands of artillery bombarded the italian super tanks as they were easy targets aswell as communications and troops were also harrased by artillery general attacks against lone italian airships started soon air raids against italian lines started aswell the ottoman infantry advanced infront of it were the crawlers and iron walls which served as shields for the infantry the italian artilery was targeted by the russian-ottoman artillery thus it was unable to help and the italians were pushed back morale was high to push the invaders out
A new gas was used in the front one that no gas mask was able to stop it burned through leather and weakend iron
It was launched in masses as the entire italian frontline was covered in gas their men had two choices retreat or die as the 4th and 3rd armies attacked the italians were pushed out of the west bank and hebron was retaken as the offensive continued relentlessly it stopped after the west bank was taken and the ottoman armies stopped and fortfied their possesioms but the artillery continued bombing the italian lines

kurdish rebellion
The kurdish rebels were attacked by the elite caucasian armies and russian reinforcements the kurds werent expecting the presence of a large ottoman army
As the troops decended upon them from the north and the russians attacked their middle the 8th army attacked them from the south the kurds were pushed back by the advancing infantry which was supported by heavy artillery bombardment as the kurdish lines fell apart as the artillery continued relentlessly preventing them from resting or fortfying their possesions
Crawlers advanced north unchallenged by inferiour kurdish weaponary with support of heavy artillery mustard gas was used to cause fear and panick in their lines and prevent any reinforcements from the middle.

yemen
The ottoman armies are in full retreat
They troops reorginaize and form a defensive line while burning anything usefull in there retreat. Supply lines were now escorted by more troops from attacking arabs

< Russian Revolution >

Trotsky's offensive continues into the new Russian government from the Steppes. The Emirates of Khiva and Bukhara have officially surrendered to the Bolshevik forces. They were unable to withstand the might of the newly formed Red Army. They were quickly annexed into the newly established Soviet Republic of the Steppes, the temporary Soviet Republic to administer the newly Steppe lands. With the guidance of the NIS, the fighting in Russia continues. Meanwhile, Stalin’s advance northwards was a daring strike for the Bolsheviks but wasn’t authorized by Trotsky. Yet, Stalin continued his push regardless of what Trotsky thought. The Bolshevik forces continued to advance up to the tip of the Aral Sea and Lake Balkhash. They took the towns of Leninsk, Qyzylorda, Taldyqorghan, Nukus, and Urganch. A major battle erupted in the town of Aktogay, causing Stalin’s forces to fall back. A follow-up battle in the town of Dostyk forced the government to fall back. The Bolshevik gains were certain, and it would only be a matter of time before the entirety of the Steppes falls to the Bolsheviks.

I was authorized by the Italian player to substitute for the time being.

civil war
Loyalist troops have finally arrived to eliminate the soviets threat 1.5 million men were ready along with 150 iron walls
Among these men were the cossack units the russian armies have been in retreat after the traitorus soviets last attacks but now they re orginaized and were ready to counter attack
In the west 500k men men attacked the soviet lines after several hours of artillery bombardment the socialist troops were pushed back out of the aral sea the iron walls kept terrorising the soviet lines with bbardment of their heavy artillery the new gas developed by the central powers was used commonly the soviet troops gas masks were not prepared and thousands died and the numbers keep going up

mongolia
The mongolian clearly didnt desire peace with russia
The russians hoped for peace against mongolia sadly war was their fate
The mongolian attack was painfull for the russian forces many died in only afew days but soon the russian troops reorginaized and rallied back to the front lines an offensive was launched aimed at taking the city of bulgan after days of artillery bombardment of mongolian front lines waves and waves of russian men crossed the mongolians putted up a good fight with thousands lost in afew days this was mainly a cause of the infamous mongolian airforce and mounted cavarly but as more AA guns were arriving the airforce was less and less effective soon it well be neutralised
The russian armies here also used the new gas against the mongolian entire towns were wiped of and thousands of civillians and soldiers killed as mongolin gas masks were useless much of the front line was sprayed
The russian armies continued marchig and pushing back the mongolian infantry though the airforce caused a lot of looses
The city of ulaangom and hatgal fell to the russian waves soon after fierce fighting the city of eren fell aswell
AA guns were now being used to defend the supply lines and armies

The Battle of Jutland

Image

The steam of the hundreds of ships could be seen from the binoculars of Dönitz as the sunset to his left. A grin was wide on his face as he saw the distant flag of the British high fleet wave defiantly in the wind. He looked upon his massive fleet as the sailed in pursuit. The British were evacuating Russian soldiers to Britain to continue the war efforts against the Kaiserreich. Little did those soldiers know that their enemy and motherland had united to fight the communists in Russia and France. Their mission was to capture the Russian soldiers and bring them to Germany to help against the new front in the west. Things were bleak for the Central powers for Austria had fallen but thankfully Italy had the honor not to directly attack the Kaiserreich. But a victory was needed to distract the population and this was the opportunity. If done well Dönitz could destroy most the British capital ships and level the battle of the surface fleets.

"Send in the fighters to harass them!" Said Dönitz as he signaled to the Radioman. Suddenly the sky was filled with a swarm of the Kaiserreichs finest pilots...

Motti dogged the hailstorm of flak of the fleet and rained his own hailstorm of rockets onto a destroyer imploding the smoke stack covering the whole deck in smoke. The smoke allowed a torpedo bomber to lower itself to the sea and drop a tube. It trailed a white line of water before it hit the side blooming into a flower of flame. The destroyer let out a groan of submission before leaning into the sea...

The guns of the, yet to be named, Bismarck class battleship was the first to fire due to its extreme range. It's three forward 3x 800mm cannons roared with such noise that if one stood on the nearest coastline in England to Jutland they could hear it. Eight spouts of water erupted in the middle of the fleet and one directly hit a cruiser. The Cruiser was utterly demolished and its deck in the aftermath of the hit was a sea of fire as oil spilled onto the decks. In under a minute the ship sank with most of its crew trapped in its flaming decks.

Dönitz should have been happy that in only a few minutes he had sunk two ships of the so-called "British fleet" but he wasn't. He had missed 8 out of 9 shots. It was a mistake taking out this superclass battleship. It hadn't been tested enough. What he thought had been aggressiveness on his part was just plain old recklessness. He shouldn't have taken it out but it was too late to turn back...

Suddenly a ship veered off the enemy formation and charged directly at Dönitz's battleship. He grabbed his binoculars to see a blue cross on a white background. It was a Russian Cruiser charging the fleet. Dönitz heart raced as he thought about what would happen if he fired...

His mission was to rescue the Russians not destroy them. Dönitz yelled to his crew members as he pointed at the impending Russian ship, "GET ME COMMUNICATIONS WITH THAT SHIP NOW". A crew member grabbed a black phone off a nearby wall and handed it to Dönitz. On the other side of the bridge, a man turned dozens of knobs on a massive radio.

Image

"Incoming Russian ship, cease your hostilities at once, we are here to help". Dönitz said as calm as he could but there was an uncertainty in his voice that tinged on panic.

"How can you say that after burning Petrograd! How can you say that after destroying our beautiful nation and damming it to the Bolsheviks hordes!"

"No no no! Stop! Russia and the Kaiserreich have united in a crusade against communism!"

"You lie! Damn you German scum to hell!"

"Stand down now captain. I will not give a second chance."

"If we are to die then let us die in the light of our comrades."

"Captain! Permission to fire main battery!" yelled one of the fire officers.

"Please stop!" Dönitz got no reply and slowly put down his phone. He looked through his binoculars to see the guns of the charging begin destroyer to turn.

"Captain! Permission to fire! I need a response now!"

"Yes..." Dönitz voice had trailed off. Already before the battle had properly begun, he had failed his mission.

The guns of the battleship aimed for a few moments before letting out a terrible roar. four massive, two ton, shells arched up into the air and all impacted on the Destroyer. The first two shells hit the two forward guns vaporizing them and detonating the ammo rack. The remaining shells smashed into the bridge killing the whole command crew. The destroyer was engulfed in black thick smoke and oil filled the sea as it churned.

"Signal all ships to form goose formation and advance at all haste to the center of the British column, this ends now!" Dönitz said to the flag bearer who ran out of the bridge with all haste...

Motti strafed another boat killing half a dozen exposed crew on the deck before having do dodge another hailstorm of flak. One shell exploded close enough to shake his plane. But Motti turned around as the flak stopped, presumably the crew was reloading the gun and charged the ship where the flak was coming from. He was right, he could see an AA crew struggle to insert another clip of ammo and drop it onto the floor. They saw him coming and leaped off the platform and into the sea not a moment too soon as the position detonated into a flurry of fire and smoke. The ammo was haphazardly placed around the gun and Motti's strafe detonated it causing shells to ignite and fly out of their casing to smash into the ship's side killing even more crew...

The smoke of the sinking Russian destroyer had observed both fleets view of each other. Dönitz's fifty torpedo boats sped out of the black smoke and were spotted by the spotlights of the British fleet. The first salvo destroyed a dozen boats but the forward fleet's lights focused on a hundred white lines thundering towards them. The fleet scattered as fast as they could but two destroyers were hit. Spouts of water and flame covered the decks of the destroyers. Water flooded into the rooms and drowned many of the young engine workers drowned fast. Luckily one of the Destroyers water compartments containing most of the flooding but the other was unlucky. Cold seawater smashed into the boiler detonating it killing all of the engineer's below decks. The ships smokestacks, instead of ejecting smoke, ejected flame into the cold night sky. The flame shot into the night serving as a beacon that could be seen by Dönitz from his side of the smoke.

"Send forward our Gotha bombers and Air Cruisers. Tell them to target that beacon of flame!" Dönitz told his radioman...

A massive air fleet had been trailing the sea fleet providing a rear guard and scouting force. It had been a scout plane that had first sighted the fleet in the Baltic and it would be the very same to destroy it. To make it even worse Rictofen was here...

Image

"Finally our Revenge is now, my friend!" Rictofen felt like he was that schoolboy in that candy store. He only needed to reach out and that damn candy cane... I mean Revenge would be his! His old naval friend, captain Oliver, smiled as well. He was once a British captain until his nation had abandoned him on the shores of Africa after a naval landing gone wrong. He had trecked his way through hostile native lands with his surviving crew only to reach German Angola. Where the British had abandoned him the Germans took him in. In the night where he laid delirious, the Germans fought to protect him from the oncoming native savages. He choose to revoke his British citizenship for a German one. That caused quite the media stir in Britain and quite the opportunity for the Kaiserriech's propaganda services.

He had hated the British. They could see him and his crew get massacred from their lofty ships and did nothing...

The British were not yet helpless. As the smoke cleared the British lightships had arranged themselves at the front and began to return fire onto another charge by the Torpedo boats. They killed two dozen before the boats got into range but the survivors launched twenty torpedoes into the heart of the British fleet and missed only two shots. The 18 torpedos hit five ships damaging them and causing one to begin to sink. The British destroyers at the front launched a volley into the center of Dönitz's fleet hitting several ships. But the Bismarck class super heavy Battleship shrugged off the hits. The massive cannons began to aim slowly at the cramped up fleet.

"All ships, FIRE!" Dönitz said into the phone on his console. Suddenly the night was filled by a brilliant flash from the German ships and lights fill the night and arch into the British fleet. Splashes of water filled the ocean and flames lit up the night as shots hit the British fleet...

Motti had regrouped with the new air fleet incoming. The battle would end now! Now a hundred planes descended onto the British fleet and Motti was about to release another round of rockets when the plane next to him erupted into smoke and flame. He looked up to see a massive airship fly through the clouds. It was shaped like a cigar and stretched for hundreds of meters. Cannons bristled from the dozens of compartments below the massive balloon. Anti-aircraft cannons on the top of the canopy were now firing into the center of the diving formation destroying many. The Air fleet began to turn against the massive British airship but was losing most of their heavy bombers in the process. They were too slow...

Image

The massive British airship was bigger than any airship the Germans had. Their Bismarck class battleships were only 90 meters long and this one was in the hundreds. The firepower of the British airship was also massive. The many guns on the belly of the airship aimed at a German destroyer and fired. The ship was obliterated as it sank in under a minute with its oil spreading across the sea and was aflame. The anti-aircraft guns of Dönitz's flagship came to life but even as parts of the British behemoth began to burn it showed no signs of pause or mercy as it's guns destroyed two torpedo boats heading for another attack run on the British fleet. A swarm of planes had now emerged from the dark storm clouds emerged and dived upon the attacking planes...

Dogfighting is a dance. A deadly dance at that. Once must move elegantly and know his limits in the air. A pilot cannot fly without oxygen like a dancer cannot dance without breathing. The air fight was now getting higher and higher as the two air fleets clashed. Explosions were now smaller as there was less air and Motti found it difficult to breathe. His plane was now stalling and stirring more often. To make it worse he had a British ace on his back. They were above the clouds dancing with each other in the moonlight and riddling each other with bullets. Suddenly, Motti's plane shook violently and blood splattered onto the console as another burst of fire ripped off one of his guns and smashed his left leg. He had to act now and the plan forming in his head relied only on his plane and just plain luck. Motti began to climb as high as possible as the ace followed him firing off another burst that ripped off his right tail elevator. The two war machines began to climb into the dark moonlit sky. Motti won the battle of machines as the British ace stalled and began to fall into the clouds. Motti turned his plane around and dove into the clouds searching for his foe. His emerged onto a scene of fire and water. Oil slicks in the middle of the ocean were alit burning floundering survivors while ships rammed each other and men boarded each other. Destroyers sailed through the flames and fired point blank against battleships ten times their size only to be destroyed by torpedo boats speeding through the battle.

Image

Motti had found his target flying around the British flagship and was forced to dodge its flak. He would have to destroy a Battle... nevermind. A half dozen Gotha bomber flew through the scourge of battle and were now above the huge British battleship. AA guns and defensive aircraft concentrate their attacks on the oncoming Bombers but only managed to down two before the rest dropped their load onto the ship. The deck armor held in most places but there were four breaches on the decks exposing machinery, men, fuel tanks, supplies, and, worse, ammo. on the deck of the bow was killed or thrown off the ship into the fiery waters of hell. With the crew of the British flagship was now occupied with the second wave of bombers on the horizon Motti divided against his foe. The ace spotted him a moment too late as the spotlights of the burning battleship focused on him. Motti pressed the trigger on his flight lever and let loose a line of the Kaiserreichs finest explosive bullets. The ace was killed instantly and his plane began to climb on on its own with a smoking engine. Eventually, as it reached the clouds the engine died it began to fall to earth like a fallen angel with the moonlight on the dead ace’s face but it ended as it fell to the hell that was the battle of Jutland. The plane fell into the sea and the ace joined his comrades on the seafloor.

Motti was forced to return to the carrier group for repairs and landed on a mobile floating airstrip. As the crews worked to push his plane to an elevator to take it below deck Motti was approached by a flight officer.

"Captain." Motti acknowledged the captain as he lit a fag in his mouth. He could see the distant flashes of light in the distant night and massive explosions.

"Motti. I need you to regroup around our flagships and await several rocket barrage planes."

"Composition of those forces?"

"You will be supported by twenty rocket barrage planes and maybe an air cruiser or two."

"Objective?"

"Destroy that damn British airship.". The captain pointed to the huge airship above the battle destroying German ship after ship and taking hits after hits. It was lit up brilliantly by a hundred spotlights. The British Behemoth shrugged off hit after hit from the heaviest of naval guns. Probably, the only ship that could kill it was the super heavy flagship but its main guns couldn't elevate high enough and it couldn't disengage from battle lest it leaves its fleet without fire support. The British airship had been pummeling the German flagship but could only cause minimal damage and little casualties.

In mere minutes a replacement plane for Motti had arrived on the deck of the floating carrier. As Motti began to climb into his red Focke Wulf the Commander spoke, “Best of luck Motti.”

Motti threw the fag he had been smoking out of the plane and into the pitch black sea a hundred meters below and said “Why do I need luck? I have skill.”

Image

With that, the propellers began to spin rapidly and the plane began to move forward. Motti’s plane disappeared from sight only to reappear a few minutes later. There was a chill now sweeping onto the battlefield. The water became icy cold and men would freeze to death in less than half an hour. The battle had to end now. Motti found two air cruisers around the flagship blasting away at the British ships but as he got closer to the two one exploded in the brilliant flash of light as a lucky, or rather unlucky for the German crew, shot found itself penetrating the armor and hitting the fuel storage whose anti-fire precaution systems were just shot out from the Bridge exploding due to another lucky shot. Motti swore as the wreckage fell and smashed into an unlucky German torpedo boat that couldn't get out the way fast enough. He flew by the air cruiser and signaled to the captain. It was go time. The air cruiser began to move against the British warship firing as it moved. As British aircraft began to move towards the German air cruiser Motti and other fighter kept them occupied as the air cruiser got closer and closer. Now the British airship’s crew could now see the air cruiser nearing and began to focus fire against it. Turrets were hit and armored bending from the near penetrations. Many crew members were thrown off and fell a thousand feet towards the sea, their bones breaking and bodies shattering from the impact at the surface of the water. But still, the air cruiser advanced and began to fire with all its guns at the British beast. Both ships began to have their systems fail as engineers and components died and exploded around them. On the German air cruiser, the forward heavy turret exploded tearing the legs off the fire officer and with him nearly the whole gun crew. Tongues of flame erupted out of one the bottom compartments of the British airship as an ammo rack was pierced. Men were forced to leap into the cold dark waters of the north sea to avoid the blinding flames of the compartment. Both ships were now nearly point blank as they exchanged fire. But the German air cruiser was too small, too little armor and too little firepower. The air cruiser began to rise as one of the engines malfunctioned and went into overdrive…

Captain Konrad Wittman looked at his bridge. Systems went into overdrive and killed or maimed engineers too close. Blood, bodies, and bandages littered the floor. Men and women were screaming in either pain or rage at the failing machines around him. Yet Konrad could not focus on that but rather on the picture frame of his infant son on next to his command console. He had just been born two fortnights before this damned war started. Now he could never go back to see him. He could never go back to Hamburg and enjoy picnics with his wife at the very same hill overlooking the city where they had first met that sunny day. He could still remember. She was looking from for her lost dog, Braun. They found her the next day playing around his neighbors tipped over trash bins. It was coffee the very next day. A proper date the very next month. A proper wedding the very next year. And the birth of his son only the very last year. He grabbed a pencil and paper next to him and began to write down a message. He could barely keep it coherent or his tear away as they fell onto the pages. He folded up the note and handed it to an evacuating medic who happened to be the very same man that had delivered his son.

“Please, give this to him.” He said in the voice that was clearly keeping the tears back. The medic nodded and began to dash down the hallway to the escape pods. Konrad sat down in his captain's chair and began to reflect on how he had gotten to this point. Playing pilots with his childhood friend, Motti. Watching the blimps go by on the Kaiser’s birthday. Enlisting in the air corps the very next day. Oh, how foolish and idealistic he had been when he was young and how cynical he had been when the war started. Funny how he had gotten here…

And how he would end here. As he looked around he was the only one left and it was silent only for the occasional console to overload and burst into flame. He watched the pods fall from the air cruiser and the parachutes open bringing the crew to safety. Nobody was left on the ship where he had first entered as a lowly fire officer. He grabbed the captains hat he had only been given a year before for his actions in the battle of Berlin. We walked over to the helm and began to turn it. He felt the engines of the air cruiser die and could now see the British beast beneath him. Tears streamed down his face and fear gripped him. He closed his eyes and said

“I’m sorry Michael. I promised I would come home. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry!”

Then all was gone…

The air cruiser smashed into the top canopy. The wreckage of the air cruiser continued to crumble through the British Beast ripping out its organs and killing the crew. It drilled further and further to the heart and it found the engine room. The core on the air cruiser had been placed on critical and that moment every single boiler burst in a massive explosion. From the outside, the British airship looked fine if one looked...

Then it exploded in a brilliant fashion. It illuminated the whole sea and could be seen from London itself. Both fleets stopped firing at each other for a moment to celebrate and despair at the destruction of the evil British beast. They stared as debris his the ocean but even though the British airship seemed to have gone up in flames it wasn't done yet. What descended was was a glowing skeleton of the once great British airship and below it was the British flagship. The superstructure was the first to be crushed under the great weight of the airship. The Admiral dashed down the corridor as explosions blew holes in the wall of the very same corridor. The terrible sound of metal on metal nearly deafened him as the roof above him began to slowly get lower. He could now see the cold night sky lit by flames but just as he was about another hit rocked the ship. He looked behind him to see a wave of flames roaring towards him like the hounds of Cerebus were after him. He leaped over the doorstep into the freezing air of the north sea. The only thing separating him from the freezing waters below and keeping in the path of the oncoming flames was... nothing. The railing was gone probably destroyed by the battle. The Admiral had to choose… a slow freezing death in the water or… a hand grabbed him yanking him away from having to make that choice. He was pushed to the clod metal floor as the terrible flames barely floated above him. He screamed as loud as possible as it felt like his neck was on fire. Then the flames stopped. He looked back to see a corridor glowing red with heat. How lucky he had... he looked up to see a long line of fire start to descend on his ship from the sky. It smashed into the top of the flagships superstructure and crushed it like a tin can. Between the freezing sea and the firey death awaiting him the Admiral jumped into the sea. He would not leave his men behind though and would have to find another way back onto his ship...

As the glowing hot corpse of the British airship crashed into the cold dark sea throwing up water and a wall of steam all around the battlefield. Then all was silent. Ships that were foes only a minute ago found themselves unable to fire on each other. Perhaps it was just the shock of such a beast brought down. Perhaps humans have only such a limit for such violence. It did not help that the sea was aflame and the bodies of their friends filled the sea. The cries of their comrades could now be heard clearly and without orders, both sides began to launch rescue craft. Both sides raced to the surface of the sea and began pulling up Friends and Fiends. British and German rescue boats passed each other and did nothing except to exchange bodies and survivors. Near the flaming wreck of one the German battleships, a group of British and German boats had gathered. They formed a sea-based medical bay treating the freezing, bleeding, and the shocked wreck of survivors. Both sides helped save the other sides lives and exchanged hot chocolate and rations. The dawn rose both sides had done what they could to help. The flame was now gone and only distant crackling of drifting British could be heard. Despite both sides having been trying to kill each other only a few hours ago none could now remember why. They just stared at each other as their leaders talked to high command on what to do.

Even high command had no idea what to do. The battle had dragged on for so long and was so chaotic that high command had no idea how many ships were left or even if their fleets were still floating. Orders were just the same...

"Destroy the enemy fleet."

But still, the two fleets didn't fire afraid that whoever made the first move would end this miraculous moment of peace...

Image

Nolan Wolf was using a blowtorch to fuse a plate of armor on a breach in the turret. The smoke from the penetration could still be smelt and the blood on the walls was not yet washed. At the very least they had taken away the bodies before they send Nolan and his men in. The battle was now silent and an unspoken truce had taken shape over the battlefield. Both sides had stopped to take care of their wounded and repair their ships. So far, from what Nolan had heard as he passed the relocated captains bridge near the engine room, high command had ordered that the battle continue but the captain had said that he needed more time to help the injured. Honestly, all Nolan wanted was this damn war to end so he could go home. Now the plate was fused and the next thing on the list was the fix the cannon. Nolan began to repair what damage there was but he couldn't seem to lift up the cannon breech to clean the inside. Nolan began to try with all his strength but he lost his grip and used his back foot to prevent him from falling. But he had stepped on the firing pedal and a giant roar filled the compartment. The shell flew through the air and time seem to stop. The German crews lept to the floor hands over their heads. The shell smashed into a destroyer that was serving as a medical bay. The still wet paint of the red cross clearly shone out as the shell penetrated the thin armor and hit the ammo rack. There was a massive bout of flame and the ship was torn in half. Wounded were forced to watch as the water began to rapidly rise around their broken bodies and scream until their mouths were covered in water. On the surface, both sides were unmoving in pure shock. Then all hell broke loose.

Every ship that was left in the German fleet opened up with everything they had. Cannons fired as fast as they could and Anti-Aircraft guns target both planes and ships. German sailors grabbed rifles and began to fire at British gun crews. Torpedo boats dogged in between massive battleships slugging it out and instead torpedo boats unleashed their payloads on the smaller battleships and Destroyers. Boats fired a full broadside at all sides and began closing the distance between the German and British ships. Sailors dropped onto British ships as they collided and fought a bloody battle to either capture the ship or disable it. British ships were scuttled as German sailors began to overwhelm their decks and a British destroyer was overwhelmed and began to fire on its own side. It was mayhem as Britsh and German sailors had no idea whose ship was whose.

In the air, planes danced at close range. They charged each other head on seeing who would disengage and those that didn't would smash into each other. At the center of this were the air cruisers as they fought ships and aircraft. British planes fell like flies but so did the Germans. A Gotha bomber was brought down and in his death throes the pilot shifted their planes all so slightly and smashed into a British cruiser detonating both's munitions in the process.

Motti fired off a burst of bullets and brought down another British plane as it tried to make an attack run on the Bismark class super battleship. He watched as the broken and burning plane was extinguished and the pilot turned from snobbish noble to floundering fish. He turned his plane into a dive to avoid the aiming reticle of a British AA cannon and once the reticle was turned away searching for other targets Motti turned back and strafed the gun, killing the crew and detonating an ammo cache...

The Bismarck class super battleship was in a fight for its life. One of the main gun turrets had been knocked out by that, thankfully downed, British airship. But despite the half a hundred dead crew the Battleship continued to sink ship after ship. It's armor made even the heaviest British guns bounce off and It's cannon made the British armor seem like paper. It's AA guns were used to great effect but no against the hundreds of British flies about but rather suppressing the crew of a British Battleship as the main cannons were reloading. Shoving a two-ton shell into a breach is not an easy task or fast one. The crew had taken off their shirts due to the sweat and heat. They were assisted by a large internal crane to shove the shell in. It took about 30 seconds for the crew to reload. The turret was controlled by a fire room deep within the ship. Inside the fire control room, the crew moved around frantically. The ground and table were filled with paper covered in calculations. A light bulb turned from red to green telling the fire crew that the main battery was ready. They made some final calculations before the order came

"Main Battery one, three, and four... FIRE!"

A massive volley smashed into the battleship killing almost everyone in the superstructure. A turret was blown off and sank into the sea. Flames appeared all over the ship and eventually reached the ammo rack. A massive explosion was now in the middle of the battlefield. The flaming wreck spilled oil into the sea. Both sides held their breath aware that a single spark could mean the destruction of them. This was no ordinary fuel but rather a British experiment at creating ships that didn’t need steam at all. A wasteful experiment that would never replace the superior nature of steam power. But still, this fuel was well known to both sides due to the sensational titles in the newspaper only two years ago. Both sides stopped firing as they watched the flames spread over the surface of the ocean. Then a flaming hot piece of metal fell off a German Cruiser and the whole sea was alight.

Image

It was hell. Pure hell. Any men swimming were treated with a painful death as the flames entered every orifice in their body. Smaller boats had their hulls melt and sink into that hell. Inside the bigger Battleships, the hull turned white hot and melted the boots of the crew to the floor condemning them to roast in the tight hot corridors. Boats began to flee the sea as fast as they could as several began to sink rapidly. Their propellers melting off and falling to the sea leaving them trapped in this hell. Both fleets had now fled the field…

Dönitz has lot slept for a very long time. He had eye bags that could be seen from the other side of the bridge and he had a stubble from an unshaven day. His eyes were bloodshot and his hands were shaking. He had his right arm in a sling for when a stray shot had hit him in the shoulder. He had hit the British hard but he had been hit hard as well. To make it all worse he had failed to locate the Russian fleet.

“Get me a beer. And get me high command on the radio.”

He sat in his captain's chair downing the entire bottle in less a minute. His first major command and massive losses for seemingly no gain. He looked out of the bridge to see the German High Fleet limping away. The air fleet had only left a few airships to guard the retreating fleet while it returned to Hamburg to celebrate their grand victory. After all, they had performed so much better than the high seas fleet. They had brought down hundreds of British planes, Airships, and brought down the biggest airship ever created. What did the High seas fleet do? Punching the British navy in the face but only reeling it. The British navy had lost control of the North and Baltic sea… Wait, they lost control of the North and Baltic sea? He had an idea. One idea that could end the war in a month or two… The phone began to ring and Dönitz grabbed it.

“High command I have an idea, I need five hundred tons of the most-” Dönitz said with near glee and was almost mad when he was interrupted…

“Five tons of what… the finest Vodka I have to offer?” Dönitz recognized that annoying Russian voice as Grand Admiral Kolchak of the Russian fleet.

“Fick Dich Kolchak. I needed you an hour ago. Where the Scheiße were you!”

“Busy finding my comrades.”

“You found them? I assume some of them didn’t come willingly.”

“Da, I had to contend with… 6 matinees, 3 rouge Destroyers, Communist suicide bombers, and all my Vodka being stolen by someone.”

“Your Vodka was stolen! The war is lost!”

“Don’t joke around. That was my finest Vodka. My grandfather made it. I will find who took it and…”

“Get shitfaced with him?”

“You know me too well Dönitz.”

“Too much. Too much. Wished I never took that vacation in St. Petersburg.”

“Same here.”

“Remeber the time you woke up in a bush just outside the palace.”

“And you getting in the fistfight with Lenin.”

“Yeah he could punch hard but he couldn't take a punch to that bald noggin of his.”

“Ah, when we were young.”

“I’m still young. Not sure about you, old creaky bones.”

“Ah, You know me. Old creaky bones.”

“By the way how many men did you get and how many are willing to fight.”

“I got about a million men and half will fight under the Motherland.”

“Good work.”

“Now I will meet you in Hamburg. I have to go now. There’s a drunken brawl I have to break up”

“Careful or you’ll turn into dust the moment you take a step.” Then the radio went silent. It was a good day. The sun had set on the British Empire and it was about to rise on the Kaiserriech.

[Diplomacy/Homefront]

The war in Europe had ended, for the Italians at least. With Austria Hungary and Switzerland defeated, France now considered an ally, and truce with Germany being in the works, there was no one in Europe to challenge the Italians. It was quite a surprise how soon the war had escalated, and almost as quickly deescalated. Yet, Italy still had to contend with the Socialist strikes and protests that were happening. Even though the fighting in Europe had died down, many still protested the war. The NIS continued their operations, not by taking out peaceful protestors, but those who support the far left ideologies previously outlawed by the Italian government. Meanwhile, Emperor Emmanuel I began changing up the government. The Emperor’s Cabinet was established, divided into 6 Ministries to govern the nation. The Ministry of Intelligence, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Commerce and Finance, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, women were allowed to work in the factories and even be recruited into the Army if they consent to it. Workers rights had also been increased, with a minimum wage being officially established. These reforms were an attempt by the Italian government to sway the public appeal to prefer the government. While many were fooled, some saw through the lies of the government and tried to organize some resistance.

[Ottoman Front]

The Ottomans counterattacked across the front, regaining some of their lost ground. The element of surprise had caught the Italian commanders off guard for the moment. However, this does leave them continuously open for another offensive to occur. The Italians launched a massive counter artillery barrage of the Ottoman lines, surprisingly out matching the Ottoman and Russian guns. Italian forces launched a daring assault to retake Gaza. The offensive was launched in the weaker northern flank of the front, encircling 250,000 Ottoman and Russian troops in the city. The Italians fell back from Hebron, creating a defensive line near the city of Beersheba. The Marauders launched a offensive to the city of Al Aqaba. After a few hours of artillery bombardment, the Marauders launched their attack. The city soon fell, and they advanced all the way to the city of Haqal. The Regia Marina had severely hampered Ottoman communications and infrastructure, and any attempts by the Ottoman Fleet to bombard Italian positions would be rendered useless. Even though the Italians wear outnumbered on the front, they weren’t outgunned as of yet. The super heavy tanks were not as easy of a target as the Ottomans were to believe. Their armor could withstand the firepower of over a hundred tank guns at once. It was a very powerful and terrifying beast to come up against. The number of tanks went from 90 to 150 as the Ottoman counterattacks begun. The Ottoman assault was officially halted, and a concentrated attack by elite Italian divisions managed to secure the front from the time being. The Ottomans had released a new type of chemical weapon against Italian forces, yet the NIS took care of what would have been an issue. The Italians were properly equipped to deal with this new gas attack, even as it was being continuously used by Ottoman forces. Many of the gasses effects were hindered as a counter agent was released merely minutes after the Ottoman gas attack. It prevented much of the Italian equipment in the front from bring crippled, and saved tens of thousands of lives. By now, the Italians had been properly trained to equip their gas masks in under 60 seconds. Yet, many young Italians died in the most horrific and grueling way. With this attack, the Regia Aeronautica countered it by launched a massive aerial gas attack all across Ottoman lines. Due to the Ottomans being in experienced with being gassed, many were unable to put on their masks in time, killing thousands. Meanwhile, Ottoman forces were in full retreat from Yemen. A combined Anglo-Italian Army had effectively forced much of the Ottomans to fall back. Yet there was some resistance still persisting. The Entente continued their offensive northwards, taking the cities of Al Hudaydah and Sana’a. In addition, the Entente also advanced further eastwards to the city of As Sufal.

Image

[Naval Front]

The Ottoman coast was continuously bombarded by the Regia Marina. Particularly on the Hejaz coast in the Red Sea. This bombardment had effectively nullified much of the Ottoman coastal defenses, leaving the Ottoman coast open for a naval invasion. Black Hounds finally entered the Black Sea, managing to sneak by Ottoman defenses and enter the Sea. Soon, they’ll be able to wreak havoc for Russo-Ottoman supply lines in the area.

{ NIS OPERATIONS }

The Spanish Web of Intrigue (SWI) has made its mark on across the Spanish countryside. Yet, even in all their supposed power, they forget one crucial thing. The NIS made them who they are. NIS operatives are not only in Spain, but also in the SWI as well. No amount of purging would account for the massive amount of operatives in Spain, who originally were sent to build up this agency. Once the NIS enters, they never leave willingly. Always does the NIS linger around in cities and countries to report new findings. The Italian Web of Intrigue spreads all across the globe. To the most populous cites in the world to even the more remote areas, the NIS has its hand in almost any major player. If the SWI wants a war of espionage, not of fighting on the ground, than so be it. They’ll soon feel the wrath of the NIS, but not all of it. For that would be too unfair, the NIS wants a challenge.

The Russian Revolution continued, as the Red Army planned to continue its offensive. Setbacks occurred as Russian reinforcements were sent in to defeat the Bolsheviks for good. Millions of men and over a hundred Iron Walls were sent to combat the Bolsheviks in Central Asia. Yet with the overall success of Bolshevik forces, they managed to recruit around 1,000,000 men to the Red Army. The NIS continued to supply the Red Army with the necessary equipment to combat the Russian Whites. The Iron Walls were combated by Marx-class Tank Destroyer, which works just as well against Walkers as they do against tanks. Their heavy guns, decent armor, and surprising speed out maneuvered and out gunned the Iron Walls. Total number of these beasts were unknown for the time being, yet they were less then the amount of Iron Walls currently on the field. The Soviets managed to go around Russian defensive lines by going through Persia (with the Republic’s permission). They took the city of Ashgabat, and continued their offensive to the city of Nebitdag. The Soviets eventually reclaimed their land in the Aral Sea, as many of the Russian forces decided to fall back to prevent being encircled. In addition, Bolshevik forces advance north, taking the city of Saryshaghan in the process. Even though the Soviets didn’t have any chemical weapons, the NIS supplied them with the needed equipment. Yet many Bolsheviks still died as a result, but the counter agent was released to prevent hundreds of thousands from dying. Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin met in the temporary capital of Tashkent. The two men agreed to put aside their differences for the moment and work together to beat back the Russian Whites. Whether or not this will work is up for debate.

The Kurdish Revolt was faltering, yet the spirit of the Kurds allowed for the Revolution to persist. The Ottomans and Russians sent a large Army to try and quell The Kurdish Revolt. Yet, even as the Kurds were originally forced back, new supplies from the Persian border arrived to help the main Kurdish state. Anti tank and Anti walker guns were sent to the Kurds, in addition to gas-resistance uniforms and equipment. Even though Mosul has fallen the Kurdish government moved to the city of Arbil to continue operations. The Ottoman assault was fairly successful, yet a strong willed Kurdish counterattack managed to regain some ground from Ottoman forces. Many smaller Kurdish revolts all across the Ottoman Empire took the attention of many Ottoman forces. In Van and Diyarbakir, the Ottoman garrisons were run out of the city, and declared their allegiance to the Kurdish state. All across the Ottoman Empire, Kurds were inspired to revolt against the rule of the Turks, for they had neglected them and their needs for centuries.

palestine
The italian counter offensive was effective at pushing ottoman armies but now the russian reinforcements finally arrived 3.5million troops were stationed at palestine they were well rested and well equipped and now they started preparing and they learned there lesson the hard way...always wear a gas mask quickly

kurdish rebellion
The ottoman armies advanced into kurdish held territory along with the russians advancing from the north the kurdish rebels were pushed and exhausted the city of dahuk fell after fierce fighting between russian troops and kurdish rebels
After hours of heavy bombardment of kirkuk and aqrah the central power armies advanced pushing the rebels away using crawlers and iron walls mustard gas was used in those cities to stop kurdish rebels from quicjly reinforcing their forces roads and kurdish supply lines were being raided by cossacks

RUSSIA:
socialist revolt
The socialist advances were enormus and the mountains were protecting them but the russians armies counter attacked their offensive supply lines were raided and gas attacks became regular attacking the newly recruited soviets
the russian armies advanced south and pushed socialist troops near the caucasus sea the socialist armies were now ensircled and the russian troops fortfied their positions and continued bombing them

The Defense of Mongolia
Russian tanks moved across Mongol steppes, pushing southwards in a massive sweep through the nation. Families abandoned their homes, heading south deeper into Mongol territory.

An invasion on a massive scale was taking place. Though at first glance a force built along the entire length of Mongolia appeared intimidating in nature, the Monk Khan and his generals saw only a great opportunity. The Russians had foolishly spread themselves thin, and had failed to make any meaningful actions against the Motor Cavalry strike forces tearing apart their front line from the sides. While on maps they were effective in seizing Mongol ground, in actuality a force spread that wide would already make communication a challenge. With Mongol Cavalry breaking through the front line and widening the gaps between their forces, practical communication would go beyond being a challenge, it would become impossible.

Even though the massive force of Motor Cavalry was capable of handling the Russian forces with losses spread few due to their massive advantage over the separated units, the amount of Russian soldiers still somehow pushed into Mongolian land. One of the key factors that was letting Russia go on was their anti-air weaponry that was intelligently brought with them into Mongolia, and their tanks. Both of these would need to be removed.

An idea had been in the minds of the Mongolian military command for a while, but they lacked the resources to attempt it before seizing Chinese land. Now, with functioning factories on their side, they would see their creation brought to life. The Motor Cavalry, although a valuable asset to Mongolia, was unfortunately not very well suited for dealing with war machines. Tanks could not travel with the motorcycles of the Cavalry for obvious reasons, so the only option was to integrate them both.

The Daichin Class Tank was created with the intention of speed in mind, only operated by a single person and built with the design of a motorcycle. The Genghis Tank operated with a notably large and armored wheel in front, meant to be the driver's main source of protection and also as a means to absorb the shock of the 2 light cannons mounted onto either side of the main wheel. The cannons could not be rotated, relying on the driver moving the entire Daichin in the direction of the enemy before it could fire accurately, but luckily, turns were not a problem for this vehicle. The Daichin was not built with isolated use in mind, the driver of the Daichin can not see in front of the tank except for two mirrors on both sides of the wheel. Mostly, the driver is meant to just follow the Motor Cavalry they are with. The driver, due to being exposed, is more well armored than any Cavalry rider, and each driver is more often than needs to be a Cavalry veteran before even being considered as a driver.

The first of these tanks, albeit hastily assembled were sent north. They would not see combat with the Motor Cavalry as intended, instead, as a means of to inspire patriotism and a weapon against approaching Russian forces they would be riding with standard Mounted Cavalry. If there was one thing Mongolia was not lacking, it was their horses. Only select regiments of foot soldiers were selected to hold the line with as much artillery as they could muster, while massive groups of the soldiers were brought back from the front lines temporarily and reassigned with horses brought in from all over. They were given a separation of bolt action rifles and shotguns, most of them outfitted with explosives either for dealing with Russian tanks or their spectacular infantry.

The Next Wave
The Russians would no longer be in a battle against trenches. They would face the might of a true Mongol horde. With the conquering of Chinese provinces, truly massive amounts Mongolians were reunited with their rightful homeland, that celebrated their ethnicity rather than spit upon it as the Qing Dynasty had only years before. Roughly 250,000 Mounted Cavalry was sent across the front lines usually paired with couple Daichin tanks to ride with them. As the sun broke over the Mongolian steppes and the Russian army began the attack of the defensive lines, they were met with an offensive force as a counter to their offense. Mongol Cavalry charged only when it seemed a trench line was in danger of falling. The unexpected charging of Cavalry was enough to hold their lines for the time being, and the bringing of the Daichin tanks were enough to null the advantage of Russian tanks. Though the inferior Mounted Cavalry came with higher losses. Thousands and thousands of riders lay dead on the battlefields by the time the defensives were over.

The War Pig would arrive on the Eastern front line. Being sent near Ulaanbaatar where it appeared the push had been the greatest. The War Pig would seek out the largest emplacements of Russian soldiers and launch lone-wolf attacks against them wherever they may have been.

To bring the factor of Mongolian air support back into the defense, the anti-air had to be removed. Khanate Intelligence agents were sent to the front line, being escorted in darkness in the safety of an air craft overhead Russian defenses, and were dropped off near encampments guessed to be the most well defended, with only the uniform of a Russian soldier, a rifle, and an explosive. Khanate Intelligence agents followed once specific plans upon landing. They were expected to rendezvous nearby whatever regional landmark was most recognizable, form into squads, proceed to their designated encampment, and sabotage anti-aircraft weaponry by whatever means possible. The operation was a success in most regards. Anti-Aircraft weaponry would be crippled in key locations in a time span of only 2 nights. Flak cannons either ceased working, or outright went up in a ball of flame in the dead of night. Even when in the unfortunate situation of being spotted, the agents were expected to carry out their responsibility as warriors of the Khanate to finish the job. There were a portion of agents spotted in encampments, rarely did they make it out of their situations alive, but they surely fought until they had destroyed the anti-air weapons as intended.

Hundreds of planes were on standby near the key locations the agents were going to strike. And as soon as their success was confirmed, these planes were launched. The Aerial Cavalry of the Steel Horde were refueled, repaired, and eager for action. Massive Russian encampments behind their lines were bombed, gassed, and shot to nothing from the skies, and with the home field advantage it was likely that the Russians would be facing constant aerial raids on their undefended locals from here on out. Most notably on the Western Line, where their push seemed to be recovering since the Motor Cavalry attacks.

The Russian front line had not pushed into the newly acquired Xinjiang province. A truly grave mistake. As now there was a significant weakness on the Western Front Line. Those who had been pulled from the trenches on the Western front mostly did not return to them. A majority of those made Cavalry were instead sent into the Xinjiang province and entirely around the edge of the Russian front line. 200k Mounted Cavalry swung around the back of the Russian army on the Western front, and without warning, entire weakened encampments that, if managing to survive the Motor Cavalry only days or weeks beforehand were now under attack from behind by the another entirely separate force of Mongol Cavalry. After facing retaliation in front of them, and at their sides, they were now truly flanked from behind. The Russian force on the western portion of the front line was now truly under siege on all sides.

The hundreds of thousands riders in the Motor Cavalry attacks were halfway through with their ride. With no major action being taken against them, each strike force was still within fighting capability. They tore down the Russian front line in six separate locations, following their strategy of attacking as fast as possible and if that didn't work, set up machine guns and take it from there. So far it had worked wonders against the infantry, and any threat of tanks or Iron Walls would be dealt with by anti-tank grenades. Aside from brief stops in Mongol territory to resupply and get updates on the front line, they kept on a fast track along the front lines, leaving a trail of Russian corpses behind them wherever they wandered.

Eve. of Operation Sealion.

Image

It was most far fetched plan and yet the only one that could work. At all Baltic and Atlantic, the fleets of the Kaiserriech have been massed. Every fishing boat to destroyer has been commandeered by the high seas fleet for the one operation that could bring the Kaiserriech to victory. On the beaches Russian and German soldiers trained together. Only a year ago they were at each others throat but they both knew that they were now fighting against the evils of communism. The Kaiserriech had put out messages for everyone to give the Government their holiday photos in Scotland and East England. Thousand of photos had flooded the ministry of intelligence and it took a few weeks for the maps to be complete.

The British fleet had been knocked out the north sea but only for a small window. The high seas fleet was to guide transport ships to Scotland and mount a full-scale invasion. But that invasion could only happen with the approval of the Kaiser and that was yet to come...
The Deutsches Kaiserreich
The Kaiserriech is an alternative history timeline where Germany won the First Weltkreig. Currently, the Kaiserriech is a Federal Monarchy. Our current leader is Victoria Louise Adelheid Mathilde Charlotte the Second. For more information.

< CORRIERE DELLA SERA >

[Diplomacy/Homefront]

The Italo-Persian Alliance was officially formalized and signed. Persia agreed to give a 15% discount for Oil prices for Italian companies, and other resources to be allocated to the Italian war effort. Persia would also allow for arms, supplies, and NIS operatives to move in and out of Persia to support the Kurds and Bolsheviks in their respective revolutions. Italy would give $2 billion to in Military aid and a further $3.5 billion in civilian/economic aid to Persia. Italy would also send attaches to Persia to train and equip Persian forces for modern warfare. Italy would also guarantee Persia from any foreign threat and join any defensive war on the side of Persia. However, Persia would not join the Great War on either side, and would remain officially neutral in the conflict. This alliance was signed by President Reza Pahlavi and Italian Foreign Minister Sidney Sonnino.

[Ottoman Front]

The Italians halted at the Ottoman defensive positions. They were seventy outnumbered, but they did have the advantage in technology. The High Command opted to hold and fortify the current frontlines and prevent any Russo-Ottoman counterattacks from occurring. Ottoman positions were being continuously shelled by superior Italian artillery guns. The Meucci-class Heavy Artillery guns, now numbering 9, fired on Ottoman positions. Meanwhile, the offensive in Yemen continued. The Italians pushed further into Yemen, capturing the towns of Al Hazm, Maydi, Safir, and Huth. They also advanced along the coast, taking the towns of Hawra and At Riyan. Remaining Ottoman forces in the area tried to put up resistance, but many were cleared out quickly. Arab guerrilla forces teamed up with the Italians to push the Ottomans out of Arabia for good. With the Ottomans putting up little resistance, it was only a matter of walking to liberate Arab territory.

[Air/Naval Front]

Regia Marina continued its relentless bombardment of the Ottoman coast. Black Hounds (submarines) had entered the Black Sea, and were wrecking havoc on Russo-Ottoman supply lines in the area. In addition, the Regia Marina had total air superiority over Ottoman territory. They had bombarded the majority of Ottoman airstrips and landing areas, and were bombarding areas of military and industrial importance. In addition, the Regia Aeronautica was given full permission from the Emperor to fire bomb the Turks into submission. Antioch, Aleppo, Damascus, Constantinople, and even the holy city of Mecca couldn’t escape the horrific fire bombing of the Ottoman Empire. Thousands died in just the first 2 days, as civilian deaths were counted as “viable losses” to the Italian High Command. Aerial gas attacks also continued, primarily on cities with Turkish majorities in them. It was at this stage of the war, the Italians wanted to be done with the Ottomans once and for all. They were the last obstacle for the new Italian Empire to come over, and no mercy would be shown to them in the post-war treaty.

{ NIS OPERATIONS }

The Russian Revolution was still going strong. Even though the new Russian government declared themselves a democracy, the Bolsheviks still had support from many discontent peasant groups in Russia. Millions protest an end to Russia’s involvement in the War. Even though Russia wasn’t being threatened, many see it only a matter of time before the war could escalate. With Russian millions of Russians being sent to support their former enemies, and the government’s failing invasion of Mongolia, many wonder how long Russia will last in the war. The Bolsheviks have used this to their advantage, swaying millions to their cause. Leon Trotsky spends any spare time he has giving speeches to recruit new members to the Red Army. The Russian Whites had launched an offensive against the Bolsheviks, cutting their forces in 2 and retaking Ashgabat. Gas attacks and Iron Walls were thrown at Bolshevik lines. Yet, this is exactly what Trotsky had intended. The officers at the Russian High Command were easy to predict, and unable to do the same to the Bolsheviks. The Red Army, using the spearheads established, broke through Russian lines from the cities of Krasnovosk and Nukus. Marx-class Tank Destroyers assisted in the breakthrough, crushing the Iron Walls in their wake. The invention of the Marx-class effectively rendered any advantage of the Iron Wall useless, as the Tank Destroyer was able to out maneuver, and out gun the Iron Walls. This destroyed many Iron Walls and tens of thousands of Russians Plus, any gas attack the Russian threw at them were rendered effectively useless, as Bolshevik forces were finally resupplied with newly created gas-resistant uniforms and masks. The main White Army was encircled near the city of Ashgabat, as they continued to fall back at the hands of the far superior Red Army and their commanders. With a swift stoke, the Russian Army at Ashgabat was encircled and annihilated. The Bolsheviks halted their advance and began fortifying their positions. Meanwhile, Stalin’s forces advanced and took the town of Aqtoghay after fierce resistance from the White forces. Soon, the Whites would be kicked out of the entirely Central Asia as the Bolsheviks only grow in power.

The Ottomans attempted to brutally suppress the Kurdish Revolt, yet the Italian NIS has a vested interest in keeping them active. New weapons, particularly those to take down the Crawlers and Iron Walls, were shipped to the Kurds to halt their offensive. The Kurds launched a major counterattack, using the new equipment form the NIS. The surprised Russo-Ottoman forces were quickly overwhelmed, as Kurds even attacked from the Persian border. Their forces numbered in the hundreds of thousands, and the gas-resistant uniforms nullified the majority of Ottoman gas attacks. They encircled and annihilated the Ottoman forces in Aqarah, while they advanced on other fronts. They began to surround Kirkuk, yet a fierce some Ottoman defensive line preventing the Kurds from immediately liberating the city. Cossacks were tracked down by superior Kurdish camel riders, and thousands were killed as a result.
