Chicago is a preschool playground compared to Central American gang territory. We're not talking about a bunch of street toughs who beat people they don't like here. As for assylum, well, who is doing it is immaterial. Remaining home is dangerous enough for them to leave their home and everything they know. Impeachment is the only response, the president is seizing powers delegated to congress by the constitution with only justification being that he is dissatisfied with the way they are using those powers. Well, presidents declare national emergencies to do things like stop people from importing diamonds from Sierra Leone or put sanctions on people in the Central African Republic, so whether or not it's befitting of the title of "National Emergency", just about every president since the act was passed has used national emergencies to get rather definitively non-emergency tasks done, even when not getting them done would pose 0 threat to Americans. It's a bit of an Obama's umbrella situation where the selective outrage seems to ignore the last 30 years when presidents were doing similar things and nobody cared.

They had a commentor on whom saisaid as much, as it would set a bad precedent towards Presidents having the power to run around congress through a NE. They didn't indicate Gun Conteol or the like, which is easily impossible even with a National Emergency declaration, but rather the practice of effectively flipping Ckngress the bird, amd gettijg funding through dubious legality

He likely isn't breaking the constitution powers, either. Rather, he may be running afoul of various statutes and the like. No court is going to atrile down his NE declaration, unless he tries to continue with one after Ckngress passes a joint resolution to end it. Rather, they may say that he is innapropriately utilizing funds and not allowed to do somethings he wants given current law and statutes on National Emergencies.

Basically, he isn't goinf to run into a problem for what he is doing, but rather how.

President Trump has just declared a national emergency, due to the Democrats in congress shameful intransigence on the legal and illegal immigration issue, if it were not for President Trump the Democrats would have welcomed all of the Honduran Caravan with open arms even if they don't qualify for any kind of asylum, as most don't qualify.
