Sally was an old grumpy lady working at the Vehicle Inport Office on the docks. It was not a nice job. It was a serious drab to deal with hundreds of foreigners on a daily basis bringing in their vehicles, wanting to chase the golden dream in PE. Many of these people could not speak english, and had their vehicles in terrible condition. Telling a man he needs to repair his brakes when english is not an option... is a challenge. But oh well - the pay was good.
An odd looking couple started the vehicle clearance process with her. She stared for a while at their funny looking jewelry. As they approached.. "Morning. Welcome to Port Ember. Hope you speak english. If not - don't care. I'm Sally - please forget it - im not yer mum. I need to see ownership papers, want to see your condition of your lights, brakes, tyres and undercarriage. I don't care whats in the back." She started walking towards the truck and pointed to the young women's hair - "darlin hope thats a phase.."
Waterstad International Airport. - Taxi
Tim - a 24 year old lad with shiny black hair and blue eyes - loved his job. He met new people every day of his life. Locals and foreigners alike graced him with their presence. Smart, stupid, nice, rude, excited, shy, thin, fat, nice smelling, rotten - he has seen them all. He loved a good story - and he got a new one every day. Life was good.
Especially at this moment, when two beautifull (jawdropping to be precise) girls entered his cab. And by doing so - he glimpsed a short second of heaven between the blouse of the flaming redhead girl. Tim flashed a wide smile.
"Oi ladies! Certainly lasses - its a short ride - a quick thirty minutes. It's a good place to stay! My niece used to work there ya know. I take it ya lasses aint from around?" He finally pulled away drivinf off to the Upperhouse Hotel. While driving, he took more than a few quick glimpses in his rear view mirror at the beauties sitting in his cab. The radio softly played a local radio station, a modern folkrock song was playing. "ooi swing a little more, a little more on the Devil's dance floor. Grab a lass - pour a rum - Swing a lil more on the devils dance floor.."

Tim really loved his job. He really did. Being able to constantly observe a small piece of heaven sitting in his cab - was what life was all about.
"Aye! Born and bred lassie. Was born near the docks. Never bin outside the country - unlike the rest of the locals. No matter, lifes a good ere! Ya know, most foreigners coming here for business ends up movin ere. Dont know much bout the Free lands. That makes ye Selkie lasses ya? Heard our government is busy with some kind of arms deal with yers over the tellie. Maybe ya'll end up ere as well one day, like most travlin ere? I'd be happy to show you me land. None knows me land like me!"
Tim kept throwing small stares through his rear view mirror. He had a constant big smile on his face. He was not too worried about keeping his eyes on the road, all new native PE Vehicles were installed with an auto collision detection system. He could stare all he want (just not get caught - he does not want to be rude)

Kiana and Caja.
Tim could not believe his own ears. He kept quite for a short moment - he forced himself to calm down and think before he spoke - play it cool he told himself.
"Well, I'm self employed.. so whenever I want really" Jim could not hide his massive smile. He tried.. but it was impossible. "But i normally graft until bout 5pm or so.. And I'd gladly play the guide for ye lassies! Like I said - no one knows me land like me"

It was the first time Tim heard someone speak Selkie - and he liked it. It was quite... pleasing.
"Aye sounds good to me! But lassies.. ya know that'l cost ya a lot dont ya? There is many more affordable means of travelin around ey. Just so ya know.. Me mum didin't raise a crook. Oh yea - hotel is 5 minutes away."

Tim coughed. An embarresd and shocked cough. Which led to a blush. This time a very visible blush. And a small nervous laughter.
"Well in that case - Tim aint saying no!" Flashing a large grin "Interestingly slavery is the only thing you may not in trade in, in PE.." Tim spoke alot and about nonsense when he was nervous.
The taxi stopped in front of the Upperdeck Hotel. It was a large Stone building, build in the 1800's. It was the most renowned hotel in the borough (although not the city as large). "You have arrived at yer destination lassies. Tim at yer service!" Tim tipped his peak cap as he spoke.

An impeccably dressed young man was seated behind reception. He had short brown hair and brown eyes. His dark suit and bright yellow tie was all clean and very neat. He was the face of the hotel.. and he knew it. His gold plated nametag on his jacket revealed his name to be Johnathan. Two young women approached his desk, a redhead and a blonde.
"Good morning. Bonan matenon (esperanto for good morning). Welcome to the Upperdeck Hotel. How may I assist you fine ladies today?"
