My signature displays and advertises a link to a dispatch where I offer to make maps for players. I once made my own thread to showcase it but it was locked because there is already a general map makers thread. I wanted to know if having a signature doing technically what my thread was locked for is acceptable or not. I'm not sure if offering to make maps in my signature implies the same offense that having my own thread for it did.
I've had this signature for quite a long while but have not thought of the implications until recently.
If for some reason my signature isn't acceptable I will remove it.

I thought I'd seen some somewhere, but can't seem to dig one up now. Is there a trick that will let you color the text of a url hyperlink? If I put it outside the url tag, it stays NS green, and if I put it inside, the obvious foulup ([colours=#f806c9]Click here![/colours}) occurs. Am I SOL?

Unsure if this or technical would be the more appropriate place, but I figure here would be better I guess.

Anyway, I would like the song lyric in my sig to be italicized but not the remainder of it, as far as I can tell the tags are properly nested but it refuses to terminate itself at the [/i] and, instead, goes for the entire thing. Unsure what's causing that and any suggestions would be appreciated.

At a quick glance, my guess would be mis-nested tags. You open [b][i][align], but close the italic and bold tags before the align tag.

According to the telegram, apparently there were too many lines - almost double the limit (which surprised me, as I kept most of the lines under spoilers, which I thought didn't count). I'm currently unsure as to what to do at this point

Right now, if I open the "Other stuff" spoiler in my sig, the line outside the spoiler (saying WA Delegate, etc.) goes below the spoiler. Is there any way I can force that line to appear above the contents of the spoiler when it's open?

Why are sigs limited to 800 characters (this also includes tags and stuff, making the rainbow much bigger than it needs to be), just wondering because I mean, I've just stuffed it in a spoiler.

Your forum sig attaches to EVERY post, and lots of people have thousands of posts. I think 800 characters is far too much. I think 8 visible lines is too much. Hardly anyone besides you is interested in the content of your sig, so why inflict it on every single post?

It's not a place to write a novella about your nation. If you want to do that, write as much as you like in a dispatch or factbook and post a link, or two, or three. Then the one or two people who actually want to read about your nation, your philosophy, and why you prefer squirrels over llamas can get the full picture.
