The nation of Hatzisland is here to see if there is any interest in a plan that would repeal WA resolution #286, and is hoping to pass a new plan that would allow abortion restrictions unless it is a life-treating situation or if the baby was created without consent. This post is to see if there is any interest in passing this as a resolution. Would you support a plan that would allow such restrictions? If not, should there be more exclusions? We hope to make this plan a draft in the near future, but we would like to receive recommendations first.

More importantly, is the fact that On Abortion and Reproductive Freedoms exist, and pretty much enforce legalisation of abortion in almost all circumstances. I’m having trouble seeing how a possible restriction of a third-trimester abortion wouldn’t contradict one of those.)

The nation of Hatzisland is here to see if there is any interest in a plan that would restrict third-trimester abortions(About 6 months after conception to birth) unless it is a life-treating situation or if the baby was created without consent. Lawyers for our nation have upheld the legality of the law, so the major issue would be support. Would you support a plan that would apply such restrictions? If not, where should the bar be set? We hope to make this plan a draft in the near future, but we would like to receive recommendations first.

OOC: Currently there exists a resolution that won't let you set such a restriction. Your proposal would thus be illegal for contradiction, no matter how you worded it.

What resolution? Our lawyers have found both abortion resolutions still in effect, both of which our proposition did not contradict. Am we missing something?

The proposition will only apply to humans at this point, but an expansion to mammals could be added at the request of nations like your's.

Hatziland, GAR#286 makes it legal for a woman to obtain an abortion at any time for any reason. Any such restriction would violate that law. This is illegal until you repeal GAR#286, which isn't likely.

OOC: GAR#286 has stood against repeated repeal attempts, often from top authors. I have little expectation of it's successful repeal now. Even if it was, I would be extremely opposed.
