Any major, Christian character in a film is automatically Catholic.

Alzheimer's patients in film or TV always go from perfect health to immediate end stages in minimal time.

Elderly men are usually the comic relief, widowers, or both.

The third is correct IRL though

I’m a sucker for enemies-to-friends-to lovers, no matter how cliche it is.

This is one that always bothered me in particular, as someone who lived with an Alzheimer's patient for 5 years.

Also, not a cliche, but something that bugged me in a movie that I've since forgotten the name of: a biologist character took a DNA sample from another character, stuck the sample on a machine, and a gel picture instantly appeared on the computer screen and he was instantly able to figure out pretty much everything about the individual.

I've worked with DNA samples before. That is not how it works.

Certain phrases which telegraph that they're going to be a cropper. Something similar is the unknown redshirt on a star trek landing party shouldn't make plans for their retirement.

YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE. THE PROPHECY SAYS SO.

And horror movie tropes.

"Duuuuh, let's split up!"
"We should totally go into this house!"
"We need to move on. This is the new home for our family. A home with an... unknown past."
"I'm going to fight something with my fists. Screw trying to get a makeshift spear."

"You see, my evil plans for this world... is to [very, very accurate plan here, all for the hero]."

"I'm going to spare you." No, no, no... villain or hero, you don't usually spare someone, or you will get yourself a movie sequel.

I hate the romantic cliche... I don't watch them, but it's the same trend. I can tell.

Boy meets girl.
Boy and girl fall in love.
Boy and girl fight and break up.
Boy and girl make up and get back together.
my evidence? trust me bro

People saying "obviously", "basically", "at the end of the day", etc. Fucking awful.

Well, obviously we have them, because basically at the end of the day, that's just how it is. :p

The love interest rejecting the hero again and again until the hero saves the LI’s life, and then the LI suddenly is in love with the hero.

Like, the LI will treat the hero horribly, but the second the hero saves LI’s life, it’s like nothing negative ever happened between them and the LI becomes madly in love with the hero.
