It had taken a few months, but the Boers had finally been defeated. Their leaders had been improsoned and the remaining rebels rounded up and taken home. However, there was still more to be done. The 150,000 strong force that has stamped out the Boers now turned and began to quickly overrun the Namibian colony. The Germans didn’t appear to or out much defense, so the British quickly struck into the territory.
Togo and Cameroon
In Ghana, a security force of 75,000 Colonial and British forces moved in and quickly started to secure Togo. The British were starting to overrun what litttle forces were left there. In Cameroon, supported by a couple of light airships and the West African fleet, 75,000 British trips from the home land landed on the coast of Cameroon and began to occupy most of the colony. These campaigns hopefully would end quickly along with the Namibian one.
Tanzania
Tanzania. The prize German colony. This one would be as easy as a nice fine cup of tea! 150,000 colonial troops from the South and 100,000 from the North began to overrun Tanzania. In a few short weeks with the small German garrison, surrender would be almost assured.
Kenya
250,000 Indian soldiers deployed near Nairobi. They would all go to face he Italians in Somalia and Soth Sudan/Eritrea while more Indians were transported over. There was also a small garrison along the Nile. If the Italians tried their North African strategy again, they’d at least have some troops to hold them off till reserves came.
Parliament, London
“These people are under British rule and fight for us, they deserve representation! Good night gentlemen.”
H.H. Asquith sighed and slumped into his chair. The Dominion Rights bill had just successfully passed and the Parliament loudly applauded. This bill in effect gave the opportunity of 20 seats to Canada, 15 seats to India, 7 to Australia, 5 to South Africa and 3 to New Zealand isn’t eh British Parliament for fighting in this war. Elections would quickly be held and representatives appointed to office while after he war, more fair representation would be implemented. Of course, a dominion could always refuse if it wanted. This bill would keep unity in the colonies and begin to mend Indian relations with Britain. Finally, a way forward!
Mi5 headquarters, Classified
For almost 50 years, Mi5 has been an unrivaled network of spies, informants and collaborators that extended British intelligence World Wide. No one could stop them, their subversion knew no bounds. However, the Italian and German networks had grown strong. There was real conflict on the horizon.
This was why today, a new organization was founded. Spies of World Renown would be used to specifically break up enemy spy rings and assert the British Inteligence as unchallenged once more!
The name of this organization? You already know it.
Mi6
Aden
The Ottomans has swept through Aden. Destroying much of the city in reckless fur or.
However, one interesting man had managed to slip out in the chaos...
He mounted a horse with Sherif Ali, King if Mecca and rode to plan the Arabian rebellion, a plan that could turn the tide against the Ottomans.
And so began Lawrence’s great legend.
France
With the French military finally getting itself back together, the British force of 400,000 soldier split into two equal groups. The first half would join the Norhern French forces against Germany while the other half would directly be put under the command of French generals to fight off the Italians. A reinforcement of 200,000 brits were already on the way from England, ready to join the fight as well.
The North Sea
While the Home Fleet was in Denmark, the North Dea fleet composed of 5 dreadnaughts, 3 battleships, 7 cruisers and 10 destroyers began the Great blockade. No trade to Germany kr Sweden would pass them. Those goods would be confiscated but he Royal Navy and the ships would be directed back from wence they came.
Denmark
The airships continued to defend the skies of Copenhagen. They would stay there for most of the war. Meanwhile, the 200,000 troops holding the line at the Kiel canal dig further in. They would create trenches stretching for miles in the future. In a few months, they hoped it would be done.
Egypt
It wouldn’t be long now. Almost a million soldiers were pinned between the Italian armies. The Suez has miles upon miles of fortifications in place. The Ottomans wouldn’t get there anytime soon. They just needed to hold out until they could evacuate into the Med. the amediterranean fleet was already escort the largest ever assembled fleet of merchant vessels and transport ships to get everyone out under air cover. There, they would evacuate to the Atlantic and make the long jkurney to Kenya to puch back North, retaking British land.
Meanwhile, the HMAS Imperator singles out an Ottoman airship making its way back to the lines. Firing slack after salvo, it made short work of the airship as it crashed to the ground. The lines would hold. The fleet was almost to them now, having passed Malta.
All of Africa is not yet lost.
Message to Paolo Thaon di Revel
Greetings old chap!
We respect your decision to not accept the fight, this is war after all. In this case with this note, there is a hefty sum of Irish Whiskey for you lads in the naval command. Do not worry, it is not poinsoned. If it was, we’d have to contact the IRA. Well, may we someday meet on the High Seas, know that I respect your talents. It is clear from Egypt that we underestimated you!
Cheerio, and if we meet in the Med with our escort, know that the Navy won’t let our boys perish without a damn good fight!
