The main group has gone to a tavern run by pirates to arrange transport from Carogne to the Commonwealth of the North. Meanwhile Fumiko and Alexei have just finished fending off bandits that were tipped off by Fumiko's treacherous retainers. Those two are next to a pond, in the woods outside the city. If you wanted to jump into the action now it might be easier to have Temujiin and Aisha walk up to those two, rather than bumping into the others in a dangerous part of the port.

THE STORY SO FAR: After the events of the last RP, three years have passed. There was a war in the UGF that divided the country in two: the Commonwealth of the North and the United Gallian Federation. The characters are all in the port city of Carogne for some reason or another so far. There's an anti-elemental group known as Watchtower recruiting in town. Eric (everyone's favorite infamous rogue) goes in and drives them out of the square with Belle (talking sword companion), who now has a body. This causes quite the scene, which divides all the characters into two groups.

GROUP A: Katya (Wind Elemental from Garmiccia, on journey to the Commonwealth of the North) and Fumiko (Fire Elemental princess from Tsubaki, an island kingdom, attempting to raise an army to return to her homeland) both see Eric and immediately try to recruit him for their various ends. Aerion (Ice Elemental, a turncoat mercenary captain from the war, edgy boi) also attempts to join up with one of the two groups, but is soundly rejected by Fumiko and mostly ignored by Katya. Tristan (A frosty boi Froenstia randomly gives stuff to) and Lisoette (a demon chick too good for Hell) arrive on the scene, and they decide to tag along. Eric ends up accepting both requests, but plans to go to the North first. They go to a bar, where it's revealed that Belle is losing her heavenly powers and becoming mortal, which is a problem. Aerion, furious about being rejected, goes and causes a big scene, before retreating from the bar after the gang decides they've had enough of that. However, two soldiers serving under Katya attempt to rob him and fail miserably, and he manages to blackmail his way into joining her party and receiving a wage.

GROUP B: Gwen (Lightning Elemental, former soldier from the war, on the run due to desertion on the advent of the last battle) sees the commotion and flees. She crashes into Tristan and carries on down the street, before running into Erosen (Darkness Elemental, socially awkward, has just made his way out of Hell). He attempts to get her to come along with him, but is socially awkward, and he tries to flee. As he doesn't want to be revealed to the general authorities, he uses his powers to suck her into a warp, which takes them to his place of residence - a loft owned by Catrin (non-elemental half-spider half-woman, actually understands social interaction). He proceeds to not explain the situation well at all, but Catrin has his back.

GROUP A: After all that, Group A heads to bed. Fumiko hires Alexei (big boi Garmiccian captain) to help her return to her homeland and take back the throne. This doesn't go so hot with Katya. The next morning, they head downstairs to meet up. Eric and Belle come from a brothel, and in a drunken stupor, Eric slaps one of Fumiko's retinue (Himegawa (treacherous bitchy courtier)'s ass because Eric does what Eric wants. This doesn't go over so well, and Fumiko (literally) fires him. He manages to dunk on her retainers with a bottle, some darts, and a barstool. The bartender kicks them out, and they all head outside. Also Ivan (pickpockety thug on Katya's payroll) slips off in the commotion and goes to sell out everyone to Watchtower. This is a plot hook.

GROUP B: Erosan, Caitrin, and Gwen are suddenly attacked by Watchtower! After Watchtower sees the enormous spiderbitch and Erosan's personal hygiene, they decide "fuck this shit" and say they'll be back later. This is a plot hook. Gwen decides to stay with them overnight, because wandering out on the streets is probably a bad idea when you've been identified as an Elemental. The next day, Caitrin decides to take them to a bar where she knows a guy who knows a guy - and, what do you know, it's the same bar Group A just got kicked out of!

EVERYONE: Alexei leaves with Fumiko, and they get attacked by bandits (which was set up by Himegawa and Fumiko's retinue, who were tired of her shit) and her retinue bails. Due to a heroic sacrifice of the one loyal courtier and Alexei going full Guts on the bandits, they survive, although not in great shape. Meanwhile, Eric gets to know Caitrin a little bit, but before anyone can do a full meet and greet, pirates strike! Katya is attempting to get to the Commonwealth of the North and Eric suggests taking a pirate ship - but before they can seek out the pirates, the pirates seek out them. The pirates threaten to escort them there and execute Eric, but after Eric explodes a pirate head with angelic superpowers (and this boi is really still an atheist smh), the rest of the pirates decide they'll leave the executing bit to the captain. The captain is another one of Eric's many trysts.

Similar evil idea: a Nature Elemental who specializes in poison ivy and mosquito bites.

Short post, but I just wanted to make something to, at least, keep up.

And the prospect of no-questions-asked transport where she's stuck with the group is a good way of keeping Gwendolyn with the party until she feels bonded enough to not run away asap.
