My dad nearly bought one in 2007.

He chose a 1.4 diesel Corolla, substituting mediocre reliablity and good quality for good reliablity and mediocre quality.

OK, now I need to slap the want for a third-generation C3 out of my brain. Just because it looks good in WRC spec doesn't mean it's not going to be a bitch to live with in the real world.

Current budget is £10K. And I've had warnings from a friend who owned a C3, but I'm hoping that was just because of the 1st generation one they had.

Commuter box with some carrying capacity. Otherwise I'd just go C1 / Aygo and call it a day.

The Eclipse Cross is one of the worst cars any manufacturer has ever made I know people are buying crossovers but why use the Eclipse name on a crossover you could have called it the Mitsubishi Cross or even the Mitsubishi FJM3935SD but why ruin a name of a sports car just to increase sales

Because these crossovers are what the sports cars used to be - tarting a family car up to upmarket it.

Apparently, the experience is a bit too muffled. Kinda worse than the more visceral Chevy or precise Porsche.

Completely different price range though.
But still better looking than the fake Supra.

I do not understand the logic of rebadging a higher end car as an econo brand either.
The only people I can see buying this are Toyota fan boys, but even they might be turned off by the fact it is actually made by BMW.

Though at the MX-5 price range I would go for an American pony car.

But that is just personal preference.

I would obviously take the Corvette over the fake Supra.

Miata's cool, but rather have the Fiat 124, because it's turbo.

Though I think the GT86 would be Toyota's competitor. Even that needs a turbo option, or better yet the 301hp Camry V6.
