Sun Yi Jong

Name: Sun Yi Jong
Nickname/Alias: Incinerate
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Male
Age: 23
Build: 6'1, Muscular Build
Faction: Young Guardians
Power Classification: Magic

Description of Powers:

  • [Electricity Manipulation]: He can generate and manipulate electricity. This means he can use electrokinetic flight, absorb electricity and release great blasts of electricity.

  • [Fire Manipulation]: He can generate and manipulate fire, granting him abilities such as pyrokinetic flight and blast fire

  • [Electric-Fire Manipulation]: He can manipulate both fire and electricity simultaneously, thus creating electrified flames that can completely incinerate an opponent or be used to create powerful electric-flame constructs.

  • [Lightning-Flame Aura]: He can summon lightning, fire or both around his body to prevent opponents from touching him. This is a very powerful enchantment on his body that affects those in a 2m radius around him.

  • [Pyrokinetic Constructs]: Advanced spells allow him to create constructs made of flames. These include creating walls of flames that have incredibly intense heat and fire, shields of varying shapes and sizes composed of solidified flames that can block bullets, and even manifest wings of fire from his back to grant him sustained flight

  • [Electrokinetic Constructs]: He can create constructs such as eletrokinetic wings that can give him flight, block attacks and slice through things with pure electrical energy, surrounded opponents in a sphere of electricity and create walls/shields composed of pure electricity

Weaknesses:

  • If one can bypass his elemental magic such as those with heat resistance and superhuman durability, his body will be that of a regular human's and thus be vulnerable to all sorts of attacks
  • He relies upon specially drawn, magical markings on his hands to summon fire and lightning. If those markings are scraped by even a tiny bit like a fingernail or blade then he cannot generate his powers and must draw from an existing source of fire or electricity. If there are none then he is essentially powerless.
  • To create a lightning-flame aura around his body he must draw a magical circle around his body and utter a spell to activate the enchanment on himself. This leaves him vulnerable to being attacked at close-quarters in the meantime.
  • His magic is fierce and powerful, therefore it requires great concentration and focus. If his mind is disoriented, he cannot use his more powerful spells such as the creation of pyrokinetic constructs
  • His body is not immune to being burned by fire or being electrocuted. He merely uses his magic to manipulate those elements. This means he may be harmed by the elements he manipulates

Equipment: Nil
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Nationality: Korean
Hometown: Seoul
Sexuality: Hetero

Personality: Restrained in even the most straining of situations, Sun Yi Jong practices a efficient use of magic rather than recklessly show-off his abilities. He believes in doing what's necessary and will consciously make an effort to not overextend his capabilities. Sun only works towards what he thinks is the right thing to do. He prefers to observe and make a tactical analysis of a problem before trying to solve it. He follows only his moral code, not anyone else's and as a result, his attitude towards the world may clash with others though as long as he is sure he is on the correct path, he will stop for nobody.
Motivation: He knows he has been invested with incredible power and that that power must be held accountable by only him. Sun knows he should live for more than just materialistic wealth for he had been born in wealth and experienced it already. A spiritual man, he believes his ancestors are expecting him to forge his own legacy in the world and that is something he has promised them he will achieve.

Biography:

Raised in a wealthy family, Sun had always wanted to be superhero yet his body did not adhere to his wishes for he did not have the meta-human gene. A spoilt brat, he pressured his rich parents to give him access to dreams that he felt were unfairly barred from him. And given access he was. When he reached his early teen years, Sun was sent to a special monastery deep in the mountains where he would be introduced to a monk who had mastered the elemental arts of Shenlong; the dragon of storm and rain.

Since then, Sun would spent every second of spare time and his holidays in the mountains where he trained with the monk in his private temple. He would learn to master lightning magic with other disciples and would soon incorporate fire magic into his arsenal. However, Sun grew prideful and arrogant. When he returned to Seoul, he would pick fights with other meta-humans whether they wanted to or not and soon it devolved into nothing but pure bullying for Sun and his gang of lackeys.

In his final year at the temple, Sun would boast to his master of his great power but he drew nothing but a look of contempt from the monk. Questioning why he was being given such a look, the monk revealed to Sun how his parents had blackmailed him by threatening to buy the land around the temple and commercialize it if he did not accept their son as a disciple. Shocked by this revelation, he was subsequently kicked out by the monk and driven home where he confronted his parents who revealed the truth.

Saddened by the truth, he retreated from public life to become a recluse in a winter mountain retreat. There, he spent a year in meditation and reflection and when he emerged, he still possessed a fire within him but this time it was controlled instead of raging. He spent the next years of his life dedicating himself to apologizing to those that he had wronged and spending time alone training his powers.

His opportunity to finally prove himself came in the form of the Young Guardians program.

PROVIDENCE

Name: Providence
Nickname/Alias: N/A
Appearance:
Image

Gender: N/A
Age: N/A
Build: Multiple supercomputers.
Faction: Guardians

Power Classification: N/A
Description of Powers: Supercomputation: Imagine if your brain was a computer, and how much faster it would run. Now imagine if that computer was not just one supercomputer, but many of them. Imagine if it was an entire building of supercomputers and all of the things you would be able to do with your mind and how much you would be able to calculate. That's the spot that Providence is in. The AI has the force of many supercomputers behind it, useful for anything from solving problems for the Guardians to helping with cybersecurity to simulating universes in the background as an experiment, or simulating scenarios for a Swarm invasion to test how humanity would be able to defend itself.

Equipment: N/A

Personality: Providence does not have a personality in the traditional sense but rather acts as programed, that is, to help the Guardians.

Biography: The Providence project, as it's known, is the result of much research and development as part of a collaboration between the Guardians and Klausen Heavy Industries, one of the fastest rising conglomerates in the world and an organization headed by a metahuman. The project was created for both the European Union and for the Guardians, who all contributed significant funds to oversee its creation. The purpose of the project is to create artificial intelligence that mimics the human mind, and after being stuck in development since 2009, the first stable version of the AI has been shipped out to both Brussels and the Guardians, being installed in Angel's Village originally to test its capabilities before adding to the AI's "network" by placing more servers in more locations.

The AI deals with both management and problem solving, helping to streamline the Guardians organization as well as help Guardians analysts in apprehending villains by examining their actions for clues and predicting their next moves as well as analyzing their capabilities to create the best matchups. Providence is jointly operated by the Guardians and Klausen Heavy Industries, with the latter providing technical support and operating the servers themselves, while the Guardians make use of the AI and pay to help further its development. Officially, the project is only in an alpha stage, despite extremely promising results that have drawn interest not just from organizations like the Guardians, but from world governments all over.

SERGE EASTON-ROUX

Name: Serge Easton-Roux
Nickname/Alias: Hellraiser (Unofficial) / Riot (Official)
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Male
Age: 20
Build: 5'6", 134 lbs
Faction: Young Guardians
Power Classification: Genetic

Description of Powers:

  • Bearer of Shields: Serge has the ability to summon multiple clear energy shields on his body at no cost of energy expended. These shields are extremely hard to break, but are small in area. They are located on the back of the hands, the back of the forearms, the front of the shins, the backs of the elbows, the sides of the hips. Striking these areas is not advised as it typically won't do anything, but areas left shielded have no protection. If one of these shields is broken by a heavy attack such as a shotgun blast, it will take minutes to be able to summon it again. This makes heavier weaponry somewhat effective against Serge.
  • Shield Summon: In addition, Serge can expend energy to create additional energy shields which can be positioned in the area around him within a one meter radius. These shields, however, are also small and have a diameter of about one foot tall and one foot wide. They have a circular design to them and they are easier to break than the shields that are located on Serge's body. They can be created very quickly, but creating too many of them is a way to run out of energy in a fight if not balanced properly.
  • Trajectory Vision: Serge can judge trajectories extremely well which is useful both for planning a path towards an enemy and for avoiding incoming projectiles, attacks, or putting up shields just in time to block them.

Weaknesses: Serge's body is only protected in specific areas, with the other spots having no protection. This means that a well placed attack, such as one to the torso, can do just as much damage as it would to someone with no shields at all. It forces Serge to move defensively at times and posture so incoming attacks hit the shields rather than exposed areas. Summoning other shields than the ones located on the body expends energy and while this can be done at a rapid rate, that is also a tiring tactic and one that can't be sustained over a long fight. Finally, Serge does not have a large frame and strong body to help in the event that shielding doesn't work. It's not hard to deal damage to him if you can get past the shields.

Equipment: Serge's weapons of choice are smaller guns which can be devastating in medium range combat. Serge generally keeps multiple weapons on him, including a Makarov pistol as a main weapon and a .410 shotgun pistol as a secondary armament to deal more damage at a slower rate. For close combat, Serge relies on a pair of blades that could easily be described as machetes, as well as a pair of knives that can be thrown if the need calls for it.

Alignment: Chaotic Good
Nationality: American
Hometown: New York City, NY
Sexuality: Straight*

Personality: Serge is something of a brash thrill seeker that cares about the next adrenaline rush, and also is fairly independent and believes in doing things the unconventional way. Serge is generally a pretty unteachable student, but not necessarily a bad one, despite the contradiction.
Motivation: To make a name outside of his parents and prove that the most traditional methods aren't always the best.

Biography: The youngest of the Easton-Roux children, Serge was stuck in a similar position to his older sister Jess, who was overshadowed by eldest child Mari. The youngest seemed like the least likely one to become a famous hero, with a tendency to get into trouble and embarrass the parents that, honestly, started to expect nothing from Serge. They put most of their attention on their oldest child and Serge was left to his own devices during his teenage years for the most part, often being left with relatives and left alone more than even Jess was. Serge went to Toronto at fifteen to train further to become a hero, but after only one year failed out of the Guardians sponsored training program in Canada and ended up moving in with vigilantes rather than coming home.

What Serge was doing was illegal, but he would take on the identity of Hellraiser and keep his true identity hidden for a bit. His team, the Toronto Six, proved to be competent in dealing with things that bigger name heroes couldn't or sometimes didn't feel like dealing with. The streets loved them even if they ended up with the DRMA on their tail, and everything went well until that one fact caught up with them. The DRMA ended up tracking down Serge and the others and the team was decimated by arrests, with Hellraiser being revealed as Serge and Serge being sentenced to spend a year in prison for the vigilantism, something of a light sentence because of Serge's famous parents.

And so Serge accepted the sentence and spent the time in prison in Ontario before eventually being released. At that point, there was a chance to start from scratch and return home to the Guardians, something that Serge accepted this time. Not to follow after his parents, but to make a name outside of theirs and prove why he was the one that deserved respect rather than Jess.

Version 2 - Removed climbing ability, removed blink/speed ability (much slower), nerfed smog damage immunity, lowered overall strength, nerfed sword, additional weaknesses. Also fixed some typos.

JACOB PHILANDER

Name: Jacob Philander
Nickname/Alias: Smog
Appearance: Auburn eyes, blond hair, tired look, average teen (transformed)
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Build: 171cm, 61kg, skinny
Faction: Young Guardians
Power Classification: External

Description of Powers:

Transformation -
  • Activated by placing his hand over the gem, embedded in his chest, for 10 seconds.
  • Height increased to 230cm tall (246cm with horns), weight to 160kg, covered in spiky leather/full-plate metallic armour (bullet resistant to 9mm).
  • Capable of lifting upwards of 3-4 tonnes.
  • Reverting doesn't affect previous equipment, and neither brings over damage during transformation.
  • Traverse speed greatly reduced (can only walk/leap).
  • Weightless smog-like form prevents damage from most physical attacks (i.e. knives, bullets, fists, shrapnel), however, Jacob's attacks are also unable to deal damage.
  • A smokey longsword appears along with the transformation (can slice through arm-width stone), but also unable to deal damage in smog form.

Weaknesses:
  • Once activated, form cannot be reversed for 12 hours.
  • While transformed, Jacob cannot sense foreign magic as his own smothers him.
  • Jacob's transformation brings an unnatural aura with it, making others uncomfortable.
  • Mind, magic, and strong electrical attacks are very effective, especially while in smog form, and could knock Jacob unconscious.
  • Jacob loses the ability to speak coherently while transformed.
  • Jacob must become tangible in order to attack with or without his sword, allowing regular physical attacks to deal damage during that time.
  • After the transformation ends, Jacob is left feeling very weak and ill for 30 minutes.
  • Removing the gem in Jacobs chest would remove his ability to transform, but it would also kill him since it seems to have replaced his heart.

Equipment: A fist-sized ruby gem imbedded in Jacob's chest, Armour (transformed), Sword (transformed), regular clothing, smartphone.

Alignment: Lawful Good
Nationality: Antarctica
Hometown: Qaarsut
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Jacob lacks good social skills due to fear of lashing out, believing it would be best if people stay away from him. Jacob spends a lot of his time researching the occult, and enjoys geology as well. Striking up a conversation with Jacob is easy, but he will always seem slightly distracted. Jacob holds telepaths in high regard, mostly because he can converse with them while transformed. He does not like excessive violence, but if the situation requires it for the survival of himself and friends he won't hesitate.

Motivation: To better understand his ability, and to gain greater control over it, possibly even use it to help people.

Biography: Jacob Philander was born to American parents who brought him along to Antarctica at the age of 12, where he spent 4 years of his life being homeschooled before the incident. His parents worked in a surprisingly comfortable research station within the frozen wasteland, along with several other individuals. During an expedition to establish the groundworks for a new building, Jacob's father discovered a deep, perfectly rounded hole leading to a small room. Within was a large, icy door; covered in indecipherable carvings. Jacob snuck out that night to see the door, bored out of his mind, going so far as to push it open. One week later, a rescue team was sent out to check up on a research station that stopped responding, only to discover the mangled bodies of several researchers and a comatose Jacob in the destroyed dining room. Jacob was quickly evacuated to an American hospital, where he suddenly awoke, activating his ability by mistake. Fortunately nobody was hurt, and Jacob was peacefully locked in quarantine until a telepath was brought in to communicate. Jacob explained that he couldn't remember anything from the last 3 weeks, and that he couldn't speak. 2 months later Jacob was picked up by the Young Guardians program, with the promise of teaching him how to better use his powers.

MATT LANGSTON

Name: Matthew "Matt" Langston
Nickname/Alias: Narrator
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Male
Age: 20
Build: 5'8, 121 lbs
Faction: Young Guardians
Power Classification: External

Description of Powers:
  • The Green Book: As the name implies, Matt's power comes in the form of an indestructible enchanted notebook that he affectionally calls "The Green Book" due to the color of the cover. From face value, it looks like an ordinary notebook with lined paper, but it has special properties. Firstly, it never runs out of paper. You can tear it, pull it out, turn the page as much as you want, but it will never run out of paper, and every 24 hours, it wipes out anything written inside it and resets. However, the main feature is its summoning abilities. In essence, when Matt writes a description of an object in the notebook (e.g, "a silver-grey Dell laptop with black and white keys, touch-screen, a webcam, two USB ports, and white backlighting"), it then summons the object described, with the characteristics detailed within the description. The book is binded to Matt, meaning that he uses his own stamina and energy to help fuel the summons, and the amount of energy that is drained ranges from almost nothing for something like a coin, but extremely exhausting to the point of collapse for something like an armored vehicle or a weaponized turret. If the energy drain is so great that it knocks Matt out, the summon won't work, so he needs to be careful that he doesn't fall unconscious or use up too much energy summoning objects.

Weaknesses: While the power to create anything just by writing about it seems great, it comes with...downsides. First off, the book, while indestructible, can be separated from Matt, and once he has no book to summon things, he's just a regular guy, and not a particularly strong one at that. As mentioned before, the book drains on his stamina to create summons, with size and internal complexity, and so a result, while things such as small tools, maps, weapons, even a vehicle or two is within his capacity, things like nuclear bombs, futuristic technology, fictional creatures like dragons, and complex circuitry is out of his depth and has the potential to drain him to the point of unconsciousness or death. As well, the detail in the description matters as well. For example, let's say he wanted to summon some soldiers to fight for him. If he simply wrote "There are ten soldiers", he might get something random like action figures or newspaper clippings of soldiers, but if he wrote an in-depth essay on the soldiers' tactics, weaponry, skillsets, possible vehicles, gear, and other aspects, he might actually create some soldiers. However, this poses another issue, as since he needs time to write anything of sustenance, he's a sitting duck without cover fire or defense protecting him while he summons his work.

Equipment: Obviously, Matt carries the Green Book around to aid him in battle, as well as the Blue Pen, a pen found inside the notebook that always returns to his hand if lost or thrown, and never runs out of ink. It's also the only writing utensil that can work within the Green Book to summon something.

Alignment: Chaotic Good
Nationality: American
Hometown: Salt Lake City, UT
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Matt's generally a shy, kind of geeky guy who generally prefers to sit alone and write his comics and short stories. He's not a cold or very harsh person, he's just very awkward and gets flustered easily during conversations, especially with girls/women. He has a lot of weird quirks when he gets nervous or stressed, such as saying "um" and "er" a lot, rubbing his neck very aggressively, giggling, and other antics, and a lot of these are flared up during small-talk/subtle conversation. When there's a critical task at hand, he can communicate a bit better, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone worse at casual conversations. But on the inside, he's a real sweetheart.

Motivation: As much as he would love to say that he did it to save lives, and inspire kids, and make a difference, the real truth is that he's broke with no cash for rent, and he needs to prove to his parents that he's doing something with his life. Everyone's gotta start somewhere.

Biography: Matt Langston was born to a British mother and American father in North Utah, especially in the big city of Salt Lake City. His parents were big socialites and successful individuals, with his father being a partner in a very prestigious law firm in Salt Lake City, and his mother being a high-ranking bank employee. They were always about success in every field, and constantly pushed Matt to achieve success in "proper careers", in fields such as medicine, law, business, engineering, etc. While Matt half-heartedly did well at math and general sciences to please his parents throughout school, his passion was in writing. He loved to read, and eventually progressed from reading to writing and illustrating, even if his drawing skills were mediocre compared to his writing skills. Most of his free time was spent drawing comic strips and writing stories, or reading said comics and stories.

In high school, things got a little difficult. He was a total geek, with an unearthly knowledge of various nerdy topics, and he didn't form any social networks easily, which ensured that he was a lone wolf for most of high school. While he was fine with this at first, it became bad when he developed friction with his parents over wanting to pursue writing instead of a "proper career", as well as over decreasing marks. Worse still, his parents separated when he was in sophomore year, and with no other friend for support, it all landed squarely on Matt's shoulders. He began to develop anxiety and stress-related illnesses, to the point where he was forced into therapy and prescribed medication. He barely graduated high school, and three days later, he moved out and started to find work as an author/illustrator for local newspapers, writing sketches and cartoons.

Eventually, his life changed forever when he was nineteen. He was cutting through an alley to get home when he noticed a small green notebook poking out of a dumpster. He needed a new notebook, and getting a free notebook and a pen? Best bargain deal you could ask for. He took it home, and that's where the journey began. Was it weird that he got a shock, almost like a warm jolt when he touched the book? Kind of, but what did he know? After all, he did get a 67 in Physics.

After the first day, he began to notice...strange things. After each day, any notes or ideas he wrote in the notebook would magically disappear. Gone. Sometimes it felt like the notebook would get thicker, only to shrink again. And he always seemed to find the blue pen in his pocket. Every time. Still weird, but he just attributed it to medications and lack of sleep. He was always tired and seeing stuff from the corners of his eye. But then, the weirdest thing happened. One day, he wrote a description of a dog in the notebook, which was going to be a character. More specifically, he wrote with the blue pen. He was busy writing away, detailing the dog's stature, fur coat, personality and behavior, his health issues, and so on, until he heard a dog bark behind him. Nearly leaping out of his chair as he turned around, he spotted...the same dog he was detailing. Down to the most minute detail.

After giving the pup to the pound, he went back to writing in the notebook. A fantasy short story, that started with a description of a dragon. Now, luckily, only a toy dragon appeared this time, but the model was creepily accurate. Same scale color, same wingspan to scale, same horn and spine shape, same head, same everything. This kept happening, with everything from cameras to coins, and each time it would happen, Matt would feel tired, sometimes falling asleep right there on his desk. It didn't take long for him to put two and two together and realize what he had stumbled upon.

At first, he only used the book for civilian purposes, like making perfect cups of coffee, generating extra cash, and other little things, but it was difficult to get every detail to ensure he wasn't making counterfeit cash, and work was harder and harder to find. Eventually, in desperation, he joined The Young Guardians in search of a place to get back on his feet and for more time to experiment with his Green Book, and explore what he could truly do.

Born in Greece he was an absolute fan of history and books and other such things, during a trip to one of the numerous ruins in Greece he found a really old book the title of which was indecipherable, he decided to read the book ( for some reasons I don't see ) and learned from it that it was written about the year 500 by what the author called himself "The Last Worshipper of Gods", many pages were unreadable or written in too strange ways but he found some pages that were readable and deciphered from it that they were some kind of spells including the use of rocks so Aegus did the strangest thing possible and decided to learn those spells.

After he had a knowledge of what he should do or what the spells he decided to become a hero although not knowing how to be one, his first action was a mugging near his home city where he injured the mugger and scared the living heck out of the person he was supposed to save he surrendered himself to the police where he explained everything about the book, the powers, and everything else, the police did not believe him and because of it called an investigation, the investigation confirmed Aegus's confession, the police thinking that it sounded like something for Guardians they called in a member of them, member being very compassionate understand Aegus and offered him two options, 1. Rot in Greek Jail or 2. Join Young Guardians, Aegus understandably chose the second option

When the time skip does eventually come, I'm opening up two different missions. I'll open another one if there's demand. Both of them are for three players, so preferably each involved player will only send one or two of their characters into the field. If you want to sign up for one, post here with the mission and character.

Repo Duty: Young Guardians will aid Artemis Rivers in breaking and entering into a known Sewer Rats safehouse to look for information that can lead to the arrest of the group's members. The group is not expected to be there during the entry and this mission is classified as low risk.

Super Strain: Some of the Young Guardians will accompany the New York Dynamo and Ainsley Easton to Chinatown, Manhattan, where an infestation of the Slaughterhouse Parasite has broken out. The team's job is to take down one of the new strains and bring back the parasite within the mutant for research by the Guardians science wing. This is classified as medium risk mission, as new Slaughterhouse "super zombies" are believed to be present and more dangerous than the typical ones.

I think it might be a bit overpowered to have ALL metal compounds turn into paint, maybe it's some kind of trait that can be triggered for a certain time period or something along those lines?

Gender: Male
Age: 20
Build: Above average build, 5'8, 162lbs
Faction: Young Guardians
Power Classification: Genetic/External

Description of Powers: Zekulu's has the ability to draw power from a single zodiac sign that he is born under, which he was born under Sagittarius. Giving him abilities related to the sign.
Enhanced Accuracy - Zekulu can determine and precisely hit a target from far away. Needing a few seconds of aiming to gauge a shot on both moving and non-moving targets

Enchanted sight - He can see farther than the normal person and can see far enough that he does not require a scope or binocular most of the time. As long as the thing he is looking at is not being obstruction by something. Also can partially see in the dark.

Enchanted tracking - Zekulu can easily track down a target once he either gets a footprint or an item that is close to the target. He can follow a track that is at least a day old.

Limited Fire Manipulation - Zekulu can only generate his own flames but, in a limit capacity. He can only generate enough fire to use in short bursts.

Weaknesses: Without his crossbow, Zekulu has limited combat abilities. While he can use his fire abilities, they are limited. His close-quarter skills are lacking and his crossbow was made for medium to long range, not close range. When he is using his enchanted sight, he is sensitive to bright lights and can be blinded by them.

Equipment: A custom high-tech crossbow that is semi-auto and holds up to 20 bolts. He has several different types of bolts, from armor-piercing to incendiary.

Alignment: Lawful- neutal good
Nationality: Ethiopian
Hometown: Adama
Sexuality: Straight

Personality: Zekulu can be a solitary individual that prefers to be alone. He can be sociable when he wants to. He believes that like his mother, heroes are meant to protect the people from those that wished to harm them. Also can be humble and likes to help people.
Motivation: Live up to his mother legacy as a hero and become a hero in his own right.

Biography: Zekulu was born to a small family in Adama, Ethiopia. His family would have been normal and gone unnoticed by the world, but his mother was a hero. Known by her alias of Predator, Zekulu would grow to idolize his mother. Though she was busy on missions a lot and ultimately it was up to Zekulu's father to raise him. Zekulu did not mind this since he knew what his mother was doing was important to the world. Otherwise, his life was uneventful until he reached the age of eight years old. That was when his powers start to manifest and were recognized by his parents of having the same powers of his mother.

Since then, Zekulu was trained by his mother on how to use his powers. At first, he was eager to learn and it was harder then he thought to able to use his powers properly. Zekulu was very much eager to became a hero like his mother and would train with her as much as possible. However, at fifteen, his mother was killed while on a mission to take down a dangerous villain. Both Zekulu and his father were devastated by the news and Zekulu went into a minor depression. He recovered and when was eighteen, his father used an old contact of the family to make Zekulu weapon that he could use. Rather than use a sniper rifle like his mother, Zekulu chose to use a crossbow.

Ever since he has been practicing with his crossbow by himself and when he flew he was ready and with approved from his father. Zekulu joined the Young Guardians at twenty and hopefully get a chance to prove that he is a hero and one that his mother would be proud of.

SZARLOTA RACZKOWSKA

Name:Szarlota Raczkowska
Nickname/Alias: Komik
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Female
Age: 20
Build: Tall and lean at 5' 11"
Faction: Young Guardians
Power Classification: Genetic

Description of Powers:
Schrödinger's Cat: This power creates a Quantum Superposition where she is in two places at once, and chooses which "becomes real" at will. This allows her to be more risky in engagements as she could her "dummy" take the hit while her "real" form carries out the attack.

Pain Suppression: Szarlota can block pain at will, are incapable of feeling pain or are highly resistant to physical pain of any kind, allowing them to think clearly and continue to move despite grievous injury. Users can think clearly, continue to move, ignore torture and generally function in situations where pain would disable a normal person.

Card Beam Emission: Szarlota use cards such as playing or tarot to unleash cone-shape beams of cards of varies size and range to damage enemies or structures within its blast range.
Weaknesses:
Schrödinger's Cat: The "dummy" can't attack at all, it can only pretend to attack. If the opponent didn't take out the dummy, it would disappear once Szarlota performs an attack or a dodging movement. The "dummy" can only exist for a few seconds so its usefulness is diminished under sustained fire.

Pain Suppression: Not feeling pain may leave Szarlota ignorant to crippling injuries, which may disable them without them even knowing why.

Card Beam Emission: This power can only be used when Szarlota has a pack of cards on her to use.
Equipment: A Lute, a one-handed/two-handed sickle, a dirk, three decks of playing cards, jester mask (seen in the pic)

Alignment: True Neutral
Nationality: Polish-American
Hometown: New York City
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: A comedian and a cynic, Szarlota enjoys entertaining through humor and sarcasm or through the music of her lute. Make no mistake however, she would happily bash someone over the head with it if the person threatened her well-being or the well-being of her friends. Szarlota would not hurt someone she doesn't yet she wouldn't help them either if misfortune falls upon them. To her,Tragedy happens all the time, that's why Comedy exist to lighten the mood.
Motivation: To seek a new audience in her life and to start over.

Biography: Szarlota Raczkowska was born to an old family of Polish immigrants who fled the motherland before the Nazis invaded in 1939. It was bad enough for them to deal with racism and the poor working conditions but the war hit them hard when several on their uncles and aunts were sent to concentration camps which they never get to see the end of the war. Her grandfather, however, brought light into their bleak world by enlisting as a fighter pilot in the US air force and became an ace pilot after scoring seven kills by the wars end. Ever since then, the Razckowa family was always experiencing a cycle of goodwill and disasters.

Szarlota grew up in one of those disaster stages as she and her siblings were raised under two bickering parents. She was forced to grow up fast and to look after her little sisters while the parents were too frustrated with each other to show any love to the younger ones. This in turn made Szarlota very bitter with her life and with her parents often leading to yelling and getting hit while the younger sisters watched. She went through a short period of depression when she discovered the joy of acting in the theater club in her high school. She quickly discovered she had a talent for acting and singing and took up playing a lute once she saved enough birthday money. It was a momentous occasion for her to perform at a school play as she always enjoyed playing as the jester. The show didn't last forever as the school got involved in a drug scandal.

Her powers finally awoken during another violent confrontation with her father when he moved to strike her but ended up hitting the dummy. Szarlota knew at that moment that she was a metahuman. Frustrated, her father went away to start whipping the little sisters with his belt but was stopped when her mother came home in a drunken state. One thing leads to another and the Raczkowska sisters found themselves without parents. Even though they were all adults, Szarlota's sisters were 18 only by a few days and they had to rely on Szarlota for emotional support.

Szarlota, however, was looking for a way to start over and saw that opportunity in the Young Guardians. Her sisters would just have to travel with her until they got a stable footing in their lives.
