9 February 1897 - Naoki Nakasone, Gandoor's sixth Prime Minister, was born. Nakasone served as Prime Minister for two terms from 1964 until 1976. He was the oldest person to serve as Prime Minister, being 67 when first appointed to the office and 79 when he left office. He was also the last Prime Minister born prior to the establishment of the modern Democratic Republic in 1904. Nakasone died on 16 September 1981 at the age of 84.

9 February 2007 - Yujo Network, a Gandoorese social networking website, launches as a private invite-only beta test. The site would switch to a public beta six months later and would eventually become the largest social network in Gandoor with over 102 million active users.

Construction begins on the Dàrdan Valley Dam one of the largest dams in Thermodolia. Construction of the Dam would last for 5 years.

February 12, 2006

The lake behind the Grænd River Dam, the largest dam in Thermodolia, begins to fill. The Dam was completed on December 7th, 2005 and took 6 years to build. The reservoir would take 3 years to fill.
