Official Name: Athletic Success Act

Overview: Eliminates taxing of medals or prizes won by American athletes at the Olympics, Paralympics, or World Championships.

Section 1: American athletes help contribute to national pride and patriotism by winning international competitions and make a positive and inspiring example for the public and nationalist spirit. Taxing on these medals and prizes is unfair to the people who have earned them especially when they help the American reputation by winning and would possibly have to sell their medals to pay the taxes. This bill eliminates those taxes.

Section 2: Income from winning a medal from the Olympics, Paralympics, World Championships or other similar international competitions while competing for the United States and any prize money earned from winning in those competitions is exempt from federal taxes.
