The venerable Kaiser Freidreck languishes on his dais nursing a glass of vodka as he waits for the delegates to arrive. He gazes around the room at the twelve death corps grenadiers stationed at the six doors of the atrium. Sighing; he grabs his cane and limps off into a separate room seemingly alone.

In his place, Klaus Himmler strolls up and takes the seat at the dais. A blue band is wrapped around his right forearm. Smiling Klaus smokes a cigarette while he waits

The nation of Ukraniumstan is in turmoil. The Commonwealth, once held together by its hatred of communism and unity to fight it, is now falling apart. Kazakhstan and other minor nations in the steppes have broken away after a long period of instability during the '60s and '70s, with only the western regions remaining in the Commonwealth. Now, the nations and minorities in the Caucasus look to do the same...
Image

Port Arthur, a longtime colony and port city of Ukraniumstan, is also under threat. It had been used by the Kyavan as a staging point for their invasion of the Ashmore Islands, as a launching point for the nukes that ended the conflict. Now, it is eyed hungrily by the Golden Club, looking to put an end to the Iron Entente's presence in the Pacific...
Image

Things are not all horrible for Ukraniumstan, however. It's longtime ally and trading partner, Kyavan, has assured them that their friendship still stands, and trade continues to flow through the nations. When the end of the world comes, the Slavs of the South will stand and fight for their country.

The island nation of The Chuck has continued to prosper throughout this century. With revolutions in technology and newly discovered ore and mineral deposits, the industrial giant has continued to grow and prosper. With the heavy machinery the nation possesses they are able to produce great quantities of goods. Unfortunately many market speculators and globalists could feel the winds of prosperity start to shift towards the tides of war. With many factions butting heads it was only a matter of time until the world would devolve into all out war. As such the nation of The Chuck was busy contacting members of other factions and improving relations so if the day ever came, it would hopefully be prepared for what was to be faced.

Jadotgrad

Walter stepped out his his car in front of the building that was holding the meeting for the leaders of the Ashmore Conflict. Although he hadn't been a part of the conflict, he had interests with Port Ember in this matter. Stepping out of his car, he looks like he stepped out of a Film Noir. Wearing a trench coat over his suit and a fedora with his Ray-Ban Aviator, Walter sauntered towards the doors. From the outside, the guards could clearly see that he was packing weapons under his coat but what was to be expected? This was the same man who never took security details wherever he went and instead relied on himself for protection. Stepping through the doors he looked around to see where he should go.

Chief Diplomat of Ukraniumstan, Danil Molotov, enters the room flanked by two Spetsnaz operatives. The guard hand in their firearms at the front of the building, only keeping their combat knives on them. This was the first time Danil had been in Jadotgrad, and he knew the importance of the meeting, which is why he had been sent.

When he approached the ring, he noticed that The Chuck had arrived as well. This was good, as it meant that even the Ember Federation was willing to talk.

Before sitting down, the Chief Diplomat went to Klaus Himmler and extended his hand to greet him. "It is a pleasure to see you again, Klaus." He said. He then leaned in and whispered, "Looks like the Embrians came. I did not think they would accept the invitation."

The Republic of Port Ember was in a perculiar situation. The island nation has never been so wealthy as it is today. Under their new industrialist and almost extreme capitalist president, life was good at home. Local media has dubbed the recent years the "Komodo Prosperity Years" - named after the nations national animal.

For the first time in their history Port Ember is focussing on international relations, and it is paying off. Free market trade, industrial output and scientific advncement has sky rocketed. The Republic has almost God Like reverance from many African nations, and the cheap influx of their many minerals is keeping Port Ember's factories churning and their pockets filled to the brim.

However, with international politics comes international conflict. After Ashmore, Port Ember is forced to flex their muscles on the global playing field so not to lose face. But the question remains, is the public ready to commit to war?

Jadotgrad

A shining black limosine stops at the conference venue, and out steps President Edward Flint. His well groomed hair and immaculate black suit looked good - and hid his anger well. He ordered the limo to stay close to the entrance, his "secret weapon" was still in the car..

He fixed his tie and jacket, and entered the hall.

Hormet Mansion, Southampton

The President continued thinking, with the brain implant clearly working to his favour. He read books on strategy and history, looking to see which state did best. He would clearly consult Parliament first, but he wasn't going to do it without a decision. Knowing this, he browsed the internet for articles about each country...reading everything from the statistics to stories from less-than-reliable tabloids and the usual broadsheets. After hours and hours of meticulous calculation and thought, he knew who to support: Port Ember. He was ready to stick to this, even when it seems unnecessary. A stalwart and stoic leader always takes a side after all.

House of Commons, Parliament, Westminster

The business in the House of Commons was as usual, with everything from celebrations and tourism to berations and terrorism. Except for one thing: adebate on the recent international faction crisis. Many had declared their support to this or that faction, but there was a very interesting one: Maurice Le Vaulqois himself, knowing that some would clearly support a more...nationalistic faction, said that he would support Kyavan in the upcoming debate. Frederick von Limburgh kept his silence until the debate, despite the fact that, well, most of his party supported Port Ember. Despite Hormet's clear support of Port Ember, many of the monarchists in his party (clearly supporting him due to his blood relationship to the old monarchy), said that they would support Kyavan. "Oh, no matter." Hormet thought to himself, knowing that he would give his party the two-line whip instead of Vaulqois' planned three-line whip for Kyavan. The two-line whip was pro-Port Ember, but said that MPs were obligated to attend at the very least, even if they abstain or, even worse, vote of Kyavan. Limburgh, however, planned to give them a free vote, in his usual genius yet unpredictable political strategy. The votes piled in....and somehow, the Commons is at a standstill. Here were the totals (there are 1000 seats in total, upped from 650 due to the extra colonies and foreign territories of the Empire):
Port Ember: 492 (Most of the L-CP along with parts of the PoI)
Kyavan: 397 (Really just L-CP rebels and PoI people who just said "Ah, well.")
The Dominion: 111 (Mostly some random people from the L-CP along with all of Vaulqois' MPs)
Britain won't be taking an official stance as of yet; however, the Prime Minister is not restricted from making a speech on the manner.

The Dominion | Capital City of Stronghaven, Formally New Galloway | Ministry Of Defense

Evan Dwyer, a grizzled and once disgraced general while serving under the previous administration prior to Madam Presidents "unexpected" ascension into power, found himself lost in thought as he strode down one of the numerous polished corridors under the Ministry. It was hard to imagine in his head, that not even a year ago, he was rotting away in a undisclosed Gulag for committing an act that was considered by many in the former administration to be a war crime without parole. Now, the well dressed yet slightly aged man had ascended to replace the previous Supreme Commander after his untimely death at the capable hands of his own daughter and was now the highest ranked military commander within the Dominion, answering only to Madam President herself.

Under the old administration, the man was labeled a criminal for doing what needed to be done. This time however, would be much different, as none of those bleeding heart liberals that stood in his way of glory last time would be able to stop his this time around. The man smiled a crooked smile, one that seemed to snake it's way across his scarred face as he was filled with delight and anticipation at the thought of getting stuck in again and spilling some blood. All it cost him was a simple favor for an old friend, and his life was changed forever for the better. The fact that this favor resulted in the deaths of those who sentenced him to his life in hell, was just pure icing on the deal.

Turning a corner in the lavish hallway, the man came upon a set of cold steel doors that segregated the room beyond from the rest of the facility. Reaching out his left hand, he swiped his ID badge across a scanner mounted on the wall before punching in his six digit access code. After a brief moment, the panel flashed green and granted the man access into the room marked Isolated Strategic Command, or ISC for short. Dwyer walked through the doorway and into a room that literally buzzed with electricity due in no small part to the almost laughable amount of electronics that called this center home. The man made his way over to a terminal reserved just for him, and seated himself on a chair that screamed of military grade quality. Muttering curses to nobody in particular, he attempted to extract even the slightest amount of comfort from the laughable amount of padding that graced the top of the chair, but soon gave up on the fruitless endeavor. Sighing in defeat, he powered up the station and logged himself into the secured network.

Using his finger on the systems touch screen, he opened up his encrypted communications tab, and started browsing through various messages direct from Madam President. On a normal day, he would receive various requests from her pertaining to some domestic or foreign event that demanded further investigation for whatever reason Madam president deemed fit. Today however, was different, as the first message he opened contained highly classified orders involving a foreign event that had taken place that ended in the thermonuclear bleaching of a nation. With renewed energy, the man pulled out the mechanical keyboard attached to the terminal and started scrolling through the documents and dossiers with earnest, digesting the information contained within and quickly getting up to speed of the current situation.

After the better part of the day was spent going over various reports, the man had a decision to make on which course of action The Dominion was going to partake in the current political situation. While the man relished the thought of a massive overt operation using the nations formidable military might, logic and reasoning dictated that a more covert route, at least to start with, would be a wiser course of action to partake in. Reaching out, the man lifted the receiver for a desk mounted phone and patiently waited for a few moments while he was connected with the Ministry's switchboard operator for a secure line.

"Department of Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Relations please." He said in his usual tone and waited to be connected.

It was going to be a long day.

Kyavan Empire |City of Jadotgrad | Diplomatic Meeting

The flight from The Dominion to the Kyavan city of Jodotgrad had been a rather uneventful one for diplomat Kevin Mayer, with nothing unusual or exciting really to report. Shortly after his country of origin had obtained legal diplomatic papers and rights with the host nation, allowing him legal access to the meeting that was about to take place, the man set out on a HC-182 that had been modified for use by The Dominion for diplomatic operations globally. Shortly after touching down on the tarmac inside Jadotgrad International Airport, a rear door and ramp opened up at the rear of the flat black aircraft clearly bearing diplomatic markings, allowing two rather plain looking black SUV's with fully tinted windows to disembark from the craft and start making their way with all due haste across the tarmac. These vehicles bore the same diplomatic marking as the aircraft as well.

After a short drive from the airport, the first of the two vehicles pulled up to the front of the Diplomatic building and came to a quick halt at the base of it. Without warning, the rear passenger door swung heavily open, allowing for Kevin to step out of the dimly lit interior and into the bright light of day. With noticeable effort, the man pushed closed the heavy door of the vehicle before turning to make his way up the steps and into the building, where he expected the other diplomats to be waiting. The mans gloss black dress shoes echoed off the stone steps as the man attempted to adjust his matching Hugo Boss regular fit silk suit. Upon entering the building, the man took off his visored "crusher" cap and tucked it neatly up under his arm while he quickly scanned around the facility. After a few moments, he made his way to the diplomatic conference room where the others had already assembled. Upon entering the room, the man said nothing and quickly found himself a seat at the table, where he quickly took his place before resting his leather briefcase on the tabletop in front of him.

Kaiser Friedrick stares at the report with growing rage. The report in question is on the many independence movements flaring up in Ukrainimustan. Friedrick walks over to his computer and types up an Imperial order to mobilize 10 Siege Regiments(50,000 men) to the region in order to “keep the peace”. Friedrick then limps over to a map of kyavani territory. “Inform Mr.Zukov he is go for tests in Siberia. Also, I want 15 SR’s in Port Royal at once.” He tells his aid. Friedrick then sits down and begins loading his revolver...

The State of Kyavan (OOC)
Kyavan is basically Russia and Germany combined. It stretches from the Rhineland to Siberia and everything in between. What used to be Germany,Poland,Austria, and Lithuania are heavily industrialized. Former Russia,Estonia,Latvia, and Belarus are dedicated to farming and the training of Death Corps brigades. The Kyavani are usually middle class across the board but in recent years, a industrial elite has surfaced in Jadotville and many other western provinces.

La Republica Del Sangre

The struggle in the sweet homeland of coffee and cocaine was still ongoing. Tens of thousands of murdered bodies literred the streets from the civil war, another tens of thousands buried in the nameless jungles surrounding the rural hamlets that sprinkled the major commercial roads. The consolidation was on going, promise after promise broken as warlords bargain for position and power. Some are lured into governorships, only for their families to be murdered in front of them while they await the firing squad. On other occasions, local warlords are offered a sincere promise of participation in the new government. The sole goal of this government seems to be survival, there is little to no espoused ideology outside of "Do not Oppose Us or Our Taxation". The regions of the country that continue to pay tribute to their local warlords remain at relative peace, meanwhile the capital is looking for some desperately needed amigos.

Jadotgrad, Kyavan Empire

Some unkempt, smelly, Mexican-looking individual wandered into the room eyeing those that looked at his entrance with a smile. Colonel "Cero", was the best the revolution could muster. Illiterate and unbecoming, it was his job to guarantee that an ally be made from these meetings. If he failed, his wife and daughter would be raped and murdered on national television. With little else to lose, any parties interested in finding Colonel Cero would be well served to consel the increasingly drunk Hispanic sitting at the bar gobbling down Old-Fashions.

Kaiser Friedrick limped unto the dais and threw Klaus a venomous glare which the diplomat visibly recoiled from. Klaus quickly got up and, trying to retain as much dignity as possible; scampered out of the room. With Klaus out of the way, Friedrick sat in his chair with a look of pure contempt for the delegates. He gazes around the room until his eyes come upon Walter. "Not that gun toting maniac again." he growls. Friedrick then calls over his aid and tells him to post another 20 grenadiers outside the building for "security". Content, Friedrick sits back and pours himself another bottle of whiskey.

Jadotgrad, Kyvan Empire

A loud, yet mellifluous, ring came from one of the intercom systems. Quarter-drunk and increasingly irritated by the wave of technology that surrounded him el Colonel Cero headed towards the main diplomatic assembly. His diplomatic credentials were examined by the guards, whom were shocked to see a liquor-stinking man participate in this extremely delicate affair. Colonel Cero always tried to be maintain sobriety, and day after day he failed. The high command knew this and with high-level talks going well between La Republica and Port Ember the Colonel's attendance was primarily considered perfunctory. Walking into the room he saw the startling baroque inefficiencies. All he good do, with his alcohol-adled mind, was add up the costs of the unnecessary additions to the room and how they could have been better invested elsewhere in the country. PTSD didn't tend to make him an effective diplomat, but it's not as if the fledging nation actually had a single diplomat to give. Glaring around, Colonel Cero was unable to find his Emberian attache little did he know el Presidente Flint was soon approaching, to take a reserved seat next to the drunkard no less!

The Neo-British Empire would like to request an invitation to the meeting at Jadotgrad, as they state their full involvement in the recent tensions, calling for a peaceful solution. We are a neutral nation and so are not aligned with either side, and are willing to help.

President Flint stood on the outside steps of the hall, accompanied by two people. One a beautifull young women with long blonde hair dressed in a gorgeous cut female suit. A observer might deduct that this was the President's Personal Assistant. The other person was a middle aged man wearing a black suit. One could see below the suit, was a well muscled fit body. The man wore a black earpiece and an aura of perception on him. An insider could guess that this was the president's head of security detail. One could not see the rest of the security detail, but commen sense dictates that they are present.. somewhere. The three personas was having a huffled hasty discussion, with the two accomplices shaking their head every now and then. At conclusion of the conversation, if you stood nearby, you might hear the president say to the man "..keep her ready and be on standby.". The accomplices turned around and walked back to the limo, while the president entered the assembly.

Inside the Assembly

The President walked into the room and was surrounded by an air of confidence.. and arrogance. When he saw Kaiser Friedrick, he stopped in his tracks and openly glared at the old man. A death stare if you will. He made sure that the Kaiser saw it. And then suddenly breaking the uncomfortable silence in the room he stated loudly: "Greetings! I am here in.. good faith. I have nothing to fear - and certainly am no coward! I hide not behind armed puppets to intimidate a diplomatic summit.." -points to the outside where the Kaiser's guards are posted.- He stares at the Kaiser some more.. before visibly relaxing and taking his seat at the table.

On his left sat Walter - a good old friend and ally. He greeted him warmly and gave a quick comlliment to his concealed but slightly visible firearm "gorgeous piece Walter!"..

His eyes caught the Ukraniumstan Diplomat, and stared angrily at him, before turning to his right and greeting the drunk Colonel next to him. He smiled at the alcoholic stench and excuse war a "diplomat". The president was a true diplomat and "man of the people", he knew how to speak and appeal to all classes and types of people - and always adjusted his speech and lersonality very slightly, to appeal to an individual. "Hola Amigo! Please tell me you brought enough Angel Piss to share with me?"

Inside the Assembly

Sitting down Walter heard Kaiser Freidrick growl "Not that gun toting maniac again." With a small friendly smile he turned to see President Flint come into the assembly building. Nodding in recognition, Walter turned back towards Freidrick and cleared his throat while motioning for one of the guards to come over. He proceeded to pull out his C.Q.B. TCR-15 rifle and unloaded it before pulling back on the bolt and ejecting the loaded round. Putting the rifle in the arms of the guard, Walter reached down to his hips and withdrew the two TCP-9 pistols from their holsters. Unloading both of them he put one on top of his rifle in the guard's hand and put the other empty pistol on the desk as a sign of good will. With that he sat back down before looking back towards Freidrick to see if he would finally settle down. Once he had disarmed himself, Walter spoke.

"Freidrick, I have come here today to represent my nation and to hopefully reach a compromise with all of you fine gentlemen and ladies gathered here."

Kievistanbul, Capital of Ukraniumstan

The Verhovnaya Rada, 1,000 members of the most influential, rich, or just politically apt people in all of Ukraniumstan, gathered in Mariyinsky Palace in order to watch the assembly on Jadotgrad. These people, although elected by the people, made decisions completely based on their own volitions, as tradition had stated since the times of the Cossack Hetmanate. All of them were watching eagerly as all of the delegates entered the building, and as their own Cheif Diplomat had been introducing himself. Molotov had previously been the chief diplomat to Kyavan and now represented Ukraniumstan on the international level.

Hetman Skoropadsky, the elected speaker of the Rada, was also watching the feed. He was an older man, in his late 50's, who had now been serving his last term. He watched all of the other delegates motions and noted that nearly all the members of the Embrian Federation had arrived. Although the delegate from Port Ember seemed rather sullen, Walter Chuck from The Chuck seemed in rather good spirits, which was a good sign. I meant that at least someone was willing to talk today...

Jadotgrad, inside the Assembly

Molotov had been watching all of the delegates enter the room, and, upon the Kaiser taking the place of Klaus Himmler, went up to him and respectfully bowed, saying "Your majesty, it is an honor to greet you on the behalf of Ukraniumstan." He then, out of the corner of his eye, saw the Port Ember delegate, none other than President Flint himself, give him and the Kaiser looks of hate. Taking note of this, his eyes quickly darted back to the Kaiser...

OOC: For reference, the borders of Ukraniumstan extend from Moldovia to western Kazakhstan, encompassing Ukraine and the Caucasus in it. The military, although relatively well trained and equipped, does work hand in hand with the Kyavan military in order put down its several independence movements. There will be moments in this RP were the Rada tires to compromise with them.

As Walter gave up his weaponry, Friedrick smiled and saluted the man and dropped his revolver on the table and slid it across the table to Walter with a sly wink. When PM Jason arrived, Friedrick returned the glare with a look of pure contempt for the man (and capitalism in general). Gazing around the room now, Friedrick counted all of the delegates and decided he would start the meetings soon.

Meanwhile, in Azerbaijan...

Ukraniumstani forces, with the help of the Kyavan death corps, have been making several hard pushes against the Islamic rebels in the far south. Many warehouses, camps, and supply depots have been confiscated, with many of the rebels taken prisoner. However, this did not seem to affect the morale of the rebels, who continued to fight the Entente forces in the region.

Ministry of Defense, Kievistanbul

General Voroshilov, Chief of Staff of Ukraniumstan, had sent a message to the Kyavan ministry of defense, calling for a meeting on the southern uprisings, as well as a potential reclamation of entente territory in the steppes. He quickly looked over his troop and fleet placements across the world. Although for most of the late 20th century the military was lacking, in the last ten years it was finally seeing revamping, expansion, and advanced training from the Kyavan military. Their forces were mostly stationed in Ukraniumstan, with the exception of the Vostok Fleet and the Port Arthur Garrison.

Kyavan Empire |City of Jadotgrad | Diplomatic Meeting

To say that so far, The Dominion diplomat Kevin Mayer was unimpressed with the action of his fellow "diplomats", would have been an understatement.

This wasn't the mans first international meeting with several foreign powers at once. Nevertheless though, it never ceased to amuse the man how every.. single.. diplomatic meeting seemed to follow the same boring routine, as if ripped directly from the same cue card of an unforeseen puppet master. Even now, the meeting resembled more a firearm enthusiast club meeting then that of a respected diplomatic encounter with all the laughable amounts of personal weaponry and manpower that each delegation brought with them. Looking over the table across the room, he eyeballed what he could only reasonably describe as the token dirty Mexican, complete with tacky clothing and overwhelming stench of turpentine grade tequila. Kevin stated at the man for a brief moment trying oh so desperately to figure the mans angle out, but averted his gaze after but a moment as he felt a headache already starting to brew behind his frontal lobes.

Rubbing his temple with his free hand, the man unclasped his leather briefcase and pulled from it's depths a little notepad and pencil for note taking, as well as a bottle of water and a small single use dose of generic aspirin to sooth his other aches and pains. While he was taking care of the issues at hand, the diplomatic meeting appeared to finally be getting underway and making some headway. Taking quick little squiggle notes as people spoke, Kevin quietly surveyed and observed everything and anything that he could of the other men and women now surrounding him as they spoke and introduced themselves. Already, it was very apparent that several nations here still were suffering from wounds not yet healed and almost palatable hatred could be felt emanating from a few of them towards one another, which made the mans job just that much easier in the end as it already laid out the foundation for his work.

For now, the man would just quietly observe and wait until the time was right for him to make his prepared statement to those gathered before him.

Kaiser Friedrick Stood up from his chair and called the meeting to order, "Everyone please sit down, we have business to attend to". He waited, still standing for the rest of the delegates to take their seats. Friedrick to a quick glance at the Ukrainismustani delegate and whispered, "Two weeks from now one of my men will arrive in Kievistanbul to discuss the reclamation of your territory.

Taking a seat Walter looked over at Kevin Mayer and sized him up. As one of the only far right wing diplomats he seemed to be hiding his feelings quite well although his facial features were quite unamused. As Walter sized him up he thought about the potential trade agreements that could come from partnerships with other nations. As a member of the Gold Club it was natural to think about making a profit. This belief combined with the industrial machinery of The Chuck could mean the difference between war and peace if a solution could be reached concerning the issues of the world.

The Cheif Diplomat, after finally taking a seat, took out a pocket watch and looked at the time. It was 5 minutes until the Kaiser would be starting the talks. He took a look around the room and his eyes fell upon the Dominion diplomat. He had seen the man before but had never really spoken with him. He turned to one of his Spetsnaz operatives and whispered to him, "Give me a psych analysis on, uh, Kevin Mayer. I want to know what kind of man he is." The operative nodded, and turned to his radio and gave the message.
