Wow, people really seem to be misunderstanding what I'm asking for here. I'm not looking for advice. I'm more than capable of coming up with my own ideas. The goal of this thread is to have a fun, community project, not to get advice that I already know. If people aren't understanding the point of this thread, I may just close it instead.

I'll be honest, I was going to come on here and give you some pointers and suggestions but having seen the quite rude and dismissive way that you respond to other people who genuinely try to help you, I won't be bothering.

I'm not dismissing anyone. It's just that I'm not looking for advice, because I don't need it. It's not the purpose of this thread. The purpose of this thread is because I thought it would be fun for others to help come up with facts and cultures for my states. It's not an advice thread.

Freeland, an island that's its own state, was an independent nation for a long time until its trade with IO and LT put it in such a position that it couldn't go without treaties with those states, and eventually integrated to such an extent that it became a state. Some of Freeland's people are still a little rebellious and will go on strike more quickly than most other states.

Also, it's southeastern peninsula contains its harbours, accessible from both IO and LT. The centre and northwest are nearly empty barring some large land-owning farmers (who are even more anti-authority than the average Freelander).

Obviously, Jewish people are significant in your country (Jewcrest, Jewport, Judea) but I don't feel like they're a majority in your country as a whole, but then again, no ethnic group is.

Zallon sounds like they are very smart and interested in technology, with lots of universities and possibly a space base to lauch space shuttles from. However, they are logical and practical, and have some disdain for the arts, and other "frivolous" pursuits.

New Udala was founded by colonists from an advanced African nation, or your equivalent of Africa. Old Udala has since shrunk in influence, and New Udala has prospered.

I've seen quite a few countries with national anthems. With no software that can generate a national anthem(with the melody) how do you make one?

If you're musically inclined you could always write one from scratch or based on a different tune. If you're lyrically inclined you could make up your own words and set them to an existing tune. There's plenty of beautiful classical music online that would serve that purpose well.

So, my nation has a monarchy and has for a while. It started when I did an rp thing where the Premier was honored by being crowned King. But, the title was just Premier ex. Premier Mitchell or Premier Kevin.
However, the Premier thing was back when I was doing the whole Communist republic sort of thing and before I had my nation quite like it is now (which is the way I like it). Way before I even knew I wanted a monarchy. So now, I'm wondering.
Since I'm going to change up my factbooks on history to make the monarchy a deeper part of Oppermenian history with a title of King, what should be the title of my monarch? Should I keep it as Premier? Should I make it King/Queen, for simplicity sake? Something else? If someone could give me their take and tell me what title I should give my monarch, then that would be most appreciated.

It's completely up to you, but my personal take is it'd be a bit weird to transfer from a communist dictatorship to a monarchy (since, in my mind, that would have led to a revolt). That said Premier is by no means exclusive to communism (the Prime Minister of the UK, for example, can also be referred to as the British Premier).

So honestly it's all down to what you think sounds better, especially if it fits the history and culture that you're working with. Look at historical examples from the culture group you're based off of for some inspiration.

In my nation's canon (the material accepted as officially part of the story in the Realm of Yohannes), I determine my real GDP (after seasonal adjustment/inflation) by breaking it down to my nation's GDP per capita first. Second, I will use an existing real life nation's GDP per capita as "inspiration"/datum for my nation's GDP per capita. After that, I will multiply my nation's GDP per capita with my total population

However, for my day-to-day storytelling I generally don't emphasise GDP size much (and even for my in-character treasury forecasts and economic review reports, I tend to play down GDP numbers (i.e. I don't mention them unless there's no other way around it)

Instead, I'd normally emphasise the storytelling behind my nation's economy (i.e. the nature of its development; the situation of its industries around that time; macroeconomic information that are more storytelling, not number crunching)

I'm gonna keep it real with you - I just came up with some numbers on a whim after checking the list of countries by GDP to make sure I didn't use any ridiculous god-mode numbers for the GDP GDP.

So basically I decided that my nation's GDP is $1.92 trillion which, based on 2018 data, would slot me in at having the 9th highest GDP in the world. (Of course, in Gandoor's canon, it's the year 2024 and not 2018 or 2019, but c'est la vie) I figure that would work for a nation that is a first-world developed economy, especially one with a large population like Gandoor.

I never lock it down with an actual figure. I just find a nation who's economy and average standard of living i think should be similar to Ru and say "about that"

In my experience it's something best decided after discussion and communication with the players you intend to interact with A LOT so that everyone can figure out which papernation stands relative to which other papernation. The Empire's economy would be horrendously inefficient in any realistic setting, but according to consensus reached between myself and the people I work with most often it's apparently an economic juggernaut, which is odd because I never intended that at all.

My advice; similarly plot it out with people you intend to work with often.
