They do have limited ammunition, so they will have to refuel and re-arm. They also do not have enough for a prolonged engagement, so they can't engage a carrier battle group by themselves, for example. They are mostly for convoy strikes

Spetsnaz basically cut the city off from the rest of the country by setting up ambushes and destroying any convoys as they leave the city, effectively starving them. The submarines are going to be destroying convoys as they try to relive the city. If Akatia moves a naval group to attack the subs, they will retreat.

You may not be able to take on a full Carrier Force, but why not try to sneak a sub under the escorts and attack the carrier. Dont sink it, just try to do damage.

Also, if you are trying to bring a CV into the mix, I'm going off personnel required and a CV fully loaded needs 5828 personnel so that's over half your allowed troops on one ship. (USS Enterprise Class CV)

I have not sent submarines, yes, the Ostway coasts are guarded by the Akatiana brigade and surely if the Spetznas approach the city, the Akatians ranks would prepare for the battle, they are an approximate of 4900 soldiers. What may happen is that you may destroy some supply ships (among which are artillery transport vessels) and consequently, you would make Akatia declare war on you. But in myself, I have not sent any kind of naval or air force, I only have land forces.

The Spetsnaz are not attacking the city. They are just performing attacks on land convoys if they exit the current borders established. Also, the submarines haven't arrived yet. There is no plan to attack the city directly.

It's good to know that. Anyway, many of the supply ships are unprotected since I have not sent frigates to escort them.

The transport wouldn't require submarine escort, they come in through the Francway which we got locked down

Um no. Guided Missile Destroyers were built in 1978 and commissioned into the US navy in 1981. Let's wait for TBP to decide though.
