Looks fine so far. Though I can't say I'm a fan of the interview style bio. Seems pretty vague. I'd much appreciate it if you used the proper backstory like everyone else.

Since she seems like she's going to be a villain, are you okay with Rping mostly alone?

I wasn't planning her on being a villain but she could if the rp demands of it

And I hope she doesn't have to be alone

Would you consider her anti-hero material? We do have a team of them called the Outriders.

Her app made it seem like she was a villain. My mistake.

I only say so because the vast majority of the players are in the YB. And you'll be primarily alone otherwise. Unless she joins the OR.

I thought of having her go solo at the start of the rp before deciding which I would have her go to. Maybe set up a recruiting arc for her or something.

And the heck is the outriders? Can't find a team app of it.

One has never been submitted, but they exist in the IC. A team of outlaw vigilantes who target and kill the criminal scum of San Diego.

Hmmmmm, Fahcelkel is perfectly fine killing both criminals and vigilantes. The Outriders do sound like they would enjoy her on their team

Here's a selection of their apps, should you want to take a look at them. Bear in mind that they may not be up to date with IC events, though, it's been a while since the RP began.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.

Name: Bu Liao | King | King of Fighters
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance:
Image

Group: Young Bloods

Bio:

Hailing from a poor Chinese family Bu Liao's powers manifested themselves early on in his development as a youth. Exposed to traditional forms of martial arts and street fighting in the shabby streets he found himself being able to perform many of the moves effortlessly. Recognizing his talent his father quickly put him on the black market for a fortune, advertising his martial abilities. Sold to a crime boss who specialized in the business of underground fighting Bu was fostered among many other boys in the martial arts, training as a young boy to learn how to kill.

When he reached his teenage years Bu was forced into fighting other boys for the entertainment of countless unknown faces around China in cruel, criminal enterprises. Defeating his adversaries his age, mostly without a scratch, in a most brutal manner he earned a reputation as the "King" of the fight cage and ring. The crime boss who had bought and trained him sought to exploit his fighter, seeking to expand his name from China to the global fight clubs across the world. When he was put to the test against adult fighters, Bu would continually meet those his equal or more in the fight scene. His body would become wrecked with scars and be drenched in blood particularly when he was forced to fight superhumans in cruel death cages. However, Bu's mind was disciplined and his body conditioned. During every fight, where both he and his opponent fought to kill each other, his powers would manifest and no matter how strong the opponent was, Bu would adapt and adapt, taking his opponent's style and making it his.

It was at the peak of his fame in the Chinese illegal fight scene, when he had obtained the title of "King" after killing the previous champion of the Asian bloodsport scene, that Bu would be "rescued" or in a more correct term, bought.

A Chinese billionaire offered Bu a new life in the States, a prospect that could not be refused by anyone with Bu's sort of background. Not knowing why and wary, Bu nonetheless accepted this once in a lifetime opportunity with a knife below his pillow for safe measure.

Upon arriving onto the land of the free, the billionaire revealed his background as a victim of superhuman evil and how that traumatic experience prompted him to support superhero organisations around the world alongside other wealthy victims like him. The billionaire had been watching Bu's exploits and had come to the conclusion that Bu was indeed a superhuman. But of course, that was an assumption and he wanted to put the Chinese boy through a series of tests to determine the level of power he possessed. Those tests were used to measure a superhuman's capabilities, at least thats what the billionaire said.

Bu would struggle through much of the tests. He did not possesses the purity of a true hero nor the intelligence of a thinker. However, in the physical tests, well, he smashed all records.

Soon after, Bu was introduced to the Young Bloods and only out of a sense of debt to the old man did Bu willingly commit to his new life as a hero.

Powers:
Bu's mind has complete control over his muscles, bones, veins, neurons, etc., meaning he'll being able to move with remarkable grace, athletic and acrobatic skill. He is able to exert 100% of his muscular strength compared to regular humans who are only able to use 20%-30% of their own muscular capacity. His body's healing factor is at the peak of human capability. Gunshots, muscle punctures, broken bones, etc. can be healed within the span of a few weeks and cuts and burns fully heal within days. His body temperature is under his total control, allowing him to withstand freezing temperatures or extreme heat. His body's physical needs can be greatly reduced including being able to suppress hunger for a period of time (determined by how much energy he has when he begins suppressing his hunger), operate at peak performance without much sleep and enhance his lung capacity (30 minutes underwater). Complete control over his body has allowed him to attain the power to accelerate or reverse the physical ageing process on his body, granting him semi-immortality.

  • [Maximum Concentration Capacity]: By using 100% of his capacity to concentrate, he can always exert maximum physical and mental capabilities as his mind can perceive and respond to challenges without distraction or at least choose not to be distracted.

  • [Peak Human Condition]: Through the ultimate power of body supremacy, Bu has consciously optimized his body to be the very best of what a regular human body can be. Even when not using his powers, every aspect of his body is at prime performance, comparable to that of an Olympic athlete. He can break off handcuffs, survive being shot in non-vital areas of his body and even take a punch from a minor superhuman.

  • [Enhanced Strength]: At maximum strength he can lift upwards of 700kg, far surpassing peak human abilities as a result of his superhuman capabilities. To reach maximum strength, he manipulates blood pressure, adrenaline, endorphins, muscle mass and exerts 100% of his muscular strength at 100% efficiency.

  • [Enhanced Stamina]: His body is naturally resistant to the lactic acid build-up within his muscles, allowing him to be exert himself at full power for several hours without any fatigue

  • [Supernatural Athleticism]: Being a being in supreme control of his physical limits, Bu prefers to incorporate athleticism into his martial arts to overpower his enemies in close combat. To close the distance, he employs superhuman speed, explosiveness and acrobatic abilities. To achieve supernatural levels of athleticism, he combines multiple abilities together such as enhancing his muscles, manipulating blood pressure, exerting maximum muscular strength/efficiency, inducing a rush of endorphins and activating/increasing his adrenaline. If he was to do a 100m sprint, he would complete it within 9 seconds. He can jump up to a height of 3m and leap over a distance of 10m.

  • [Self Motor-Skill Manipulation]: No matter what kind of state his body is in, Bu's mind always maintains complete control over his own movements meaning paralysis, broken bones or dislocated limbs will not impede his ability to move freely as if his body was not injured at all.

  • [Neuron Manipulation]: By manipulating his nerves, he acquires control over his body's voluntary and involuntary movements. This can be used to enhance his strength and speed by sending neurons to the muscles as if they are flexing when they are not, regenerate nerve cells at a steady rate, induce sleep or paralysis within his body, and increase/remove nerve illnesses.

  • [Internal Body Cleansing]: Bu can remove any impurities from his body such as narcotics, radiation, etc. This only aids his body's healing

  • [Foreign Body Removal]: Anything that is not naturally part of his body can be removed by Bu's mind. For example, a bullet will be pushed out by his body.

  • [Adrenal Activation]: He can activate his adrenal glands at will, giving him enhanced physical abilities including increased tolerance to pain.

  • [Endorphin Activation]: He can increase the endorphins within his body to completely suppress the transmission of pain signals and this even gives him a feeling of euphoria.

  • [Adoptive Muscle Memory]: By witnessing a bodily action being performed once he can perfectly copy it, subsequently performing it flawlessly. This can range from martial arts to firing a gun to playing a piano.

  • [Reflex Manipulation]: Can activate/deactivate his own reflexes at will. He can speed up or decrease his reflexes and can possess the power of high-speed automatic reflexes.

  • [Blood Pressure Manipulation]: He has complete control over the flow of blood within his body. This means he can increase his strength and speed by manipulating the transfer of oxygen and nutrients around his body. He can also filter foreign substances such as drugs or toxins from his own bloodstream.

  • [Muscle Mass Manipulation]: He can increase or decrease his own muscle mass from certain muscles to all his muscles. Muscle enhancement leads to enhanced physical abilities including strength, speed, stamina and durability as his body can become hardened to a superhuman extent to resist being stabbed or cut. His maximum size would be akin to looking like a bodybuilder on steroids.

  • [Muscle Armor]: An ability of his Muscle Mass Manipulation, Bu can increase the density and bulk of his muscles to the extent that physical attacks will be blocked by his muscles. Powerful blunt force attacks will not affect his bones and innards as a result of his Muscle Armor. An example would be being able to block the swing of a base-ball bat with his abdominal muscles. An example of straining his muscle armor to the maximum would be forcing him to resist small-arms fire. To endure automatic gunfire, he must focus everything he has into the part of his body that is under threat. However, this will leave him exposed to someone shooting another part of his body.

  • [Intravenous Exoskeleton]: He can reinforce his circulatory system to increase his body's regenerative healing and durability to being penetrated by things such as bullets. If he is shot, he can instantly clot the wound to prevent external bleeding once his body has removed the bullet. His veins and arteries can be strengthened to resist blunt force trauma during combat. However this is only effective against small wounds, moderate to large flesh wounds will take hours for the blood to fully clot.

  • [Skin Hardening]: By increasing the density of his skin, Bu can create a natural, dermal armor that can withstand being cut by blades.

  • [Aim Dodging/Body Language Analysis]: Bu possesses the ability to evade projectiles much faster than he is that travel in a linear path such as bullets or arrows simply by positioning himself to avoid it. This is achieved by sharp reflex and extreme reaction times as well as the analysis of a persons body language which aids him very well when engaged in hand-to-hand combat. If he can see the shooter, he will always evade the bullets.

His childhood was filled with nothing but the image of blood and the pain of a punch. He was born into a brutal world of street fights and martial arts, his life has always been that of a fighter. Bu has practiced a plethora of martial arts known to man and through his experience, he has dedicated his time to mastering a select few self-defense systems and developing his own style of the martial arts in order to perfectly adapt them to his personal brand of combat philosophy.

  • [Grandmaster of Junshi Sanda]: Arguably the greatest self-defense system ever created yet is one of the most obscure martial arts in the world, it was originally created and cultivated by Chinese Special Forces for the purpose of unarmed self-defense. It is the child of the entirety of China's Wushu from Shaolin Kung Fu to Chin Na combined with modern combat systems and philosophies such as the equally as obscure SPEAR system, Junshi Sanda was extensively developed after years of research and study by the Chinese military. Bu has extended past the unarmed aspect of this system to adopt elements of armed Chinese martial arts including Chaquan and White Crane Style and combine them with the Dardi School's European arts for the purpose of incorporating the 18 Arms of Wushu into Junshi Sanda in order to perfect the combat system. Bu's brand of the system is simple yet is pretty much the highest pinnacle that any martial artist seeks to achieve; to use the best technique possible whenever possible.

  • [Master of Combat Sambo]: The militarized version of the art that focuses extensively on striking and grappling, it is a relatively modern fighting system that was designed to incorporate the most effective techniques of other martial arts and is utilized by the elite units of the Russian military for unarmed self-defense. Bu's level of skill in this martial art is to the extent that he earned a reputation in the Asian underworld for ending fights in the bloodsports without killing his opponent.

  • [Master of Bando]: An obscure, ancient martial art utilized by the elite Gurkha units of the British Armed Forces, Bu rarely, if ever uses this martial art, the only time he has used Bando was in his last fight in the East Asian bloodsport arenas against his opponent, a crocodilian master of Wushu and the reasons for his doing so have been kept back from all who had watched that deathmatch. Bu's mastery of this art extends to mastery of Banshay, an armed martial art that focuses on using the sword, spear, and staff.

Limitations:
  • Training is required to maintain skills acquired/mimicked
  • Things that are too fast for his eye to even see will always bypass his reflexes
  • Evasion is limited to the number of targets he can maintain focus on
  • Body movement analysis is limited by the physical capabilities of his opponent for example super velocity superhumans
  • Prediction of opponents movements or a projectile is limited by the fact that he has to use his eyes to predict them
  • His conscious superhuman powers are activated and governed by his mental state.
  • Cancellation of specific bodily functions can occur due to activation of certain powers. For example self-manipulative puppetry can allow him to keep moving unhindered despite grievous injuries but sensory processes governing things like pain will be inactive.
  • Accelerating his own blood flow strains his physical body to the maximum limit of his endurance
  • He is unable to mimic alien creatures and their forms of martial arts unless they are very closely humanoid in nature in which case it will take him a bit of time to understand them
  • Skills that are not sensed by him will not be attained. For example high-diving without knowledge of how to swim
  • Cannot perform skills beyond body’s capabilities
  • If he ages back he will become mentally regressed to how he was at that age. So if he ages to how he was at 18 years of age, he will act and think like a 18 year old.
  • If he ages too far forward, he may die from old age or his body will become incredibly fragile.
  • He cannot manipulate his own genetic data meaning he can't grow taller nor change his eye color, etc.
  • Muscle must be consciously bulked up to form Muscle Armor
  • If he greatly enhances his muscle mass, his physical movement and mobility decrease
  • He requires large quantities of food to support his muscles. Forgoing eating will lead to muscular dystrophy.
  • Abnormally high or low body temperatures can harm his body
  • Temperature manipulation is managed by his state of mind
  • Muscle Armor is only effective against small-arms fire when concentrated into a specific part of the body.
  • Skin Hardening has limits, any powerful penetration forces such as a bullet will break through

Weaknesses
  • [Take Out The Head]: He controls his body with his mind. Without his ability to think, he will fall. This is his greatest weakness. This can involve disorienting him with extreme sound or focusing attacks onto his skull.
  • [Go For The Eyes]: Any soft openings on Bu's body are also very vulnerable to attack. His eyes for example are very susceptible to being penetrated by a bullet or gouged out despite the rest of his body being covered in organic armor. Other weak-points include his ears and mouth.
  • [Heavy Mother-Fucking Ordnance]: Powerful armor-piercing rounds and the like can penetrate through even his Muscle Armor as it can only withstand small-arms fire. Even his ability of controlling his body like a puppet would lose out since his body would effectively be destroyed including his head.
  • [Light Him Up]: Bu cannot regenerate organs, limbs or his brain. So if he loses any of them he is fucked. This means he is vulnerable to attacks that can bypass his defenses, including disease as he is only better at fighting disease than others and is not fully immune.
  • [More Super Than Superhuman]: Bu can't dodge fists that move at the speed of light nor survive being thrown into the Sun or an oven of fire.
  • [I Can't Hurt You With My Fists]: Bu's powers are entirely physical. Anything that cannot be affected by physical forces no matter how strong they are will likewise not be affected by Bu's powers.
  • [Chemical Overdose]: Sun can only exert an abnormal amount of adrenaline for a few minutes otherwise he risks cardiac arrest, mental fatigue which will shutdown his ability to control his body and killing himself by overdose.
  • [Didn't Feel That Did You?]: If Sun fully suppresses his pain then he risks being disabled by injury without knowing what the injury is due to his lack of pain.
  • [Muscle Armor Concentration]: Focusing his Muscle Armor into one area of his body will leave other areas exposed to gunfire. This means he is susceptible to being surrounded by gunmen and gunned down.
  • [Flesh Is Still Flesh]: Despite his muscles and skin being able to withstand powerful blunt force attacks, they are still made of flesh and are susceptible to burns, electrocution, etc.
  • [Can't Control It]: When he has activated his automatic reflexes, his body can be manipulated by invoking his reflexes.

Bu's Story

Name: Taron Kimmel | Grandmaster Death
Age: 41
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible): Image
Young Blood?: No
Bio:

His family was a military family with generations having served in the US military from the warzones of World War 2 to Korea to the Gulf War. The only son of 2 parents, he was first introduced to the concept of violence when his Green Beret father left him at an early age for the battlefield. Violence was glorified for the young boy and it was no surprise to anyone when he announced his dream was to follow in the footsteps of his forefathers.

His education at West Point was marred by cases of bullying and physical violence against his peers. A militaristic culture for young men in a closed environment meant there were many boys with the need to prove themselves. An outlet for his need to assert his physical power was boxing. He took to boxing as a baby takes to breathing. He excelled in it and quickly became a national youth champion. However, any potential for him expanding onto the international scene was lost when the organization heard of his activities outside of the ring. Street fights and hooliganism were looked down upon and soon he was punished by suspension from West Point.

Nonetheless, he would eventually enlist in the Marine Corps. His career in the military would be illustrious. Accomplishments earned in war would have him catch the eye of the higher-ups and soon he was offered the chance to join the 1st SFOD-D. He took that chance and passed the trials to become a member of the elite Delta Force unit.

He actively participated in black ops in the name of his country although the nature of the missions he did was kept under lock and key by the highest echelons of the US government. What is known however is his life after the military.

He began challenging martial art masters around the world. No one would pay him much attention initially so he pursued them to their own homes and dojos to challenge them in person. A couple years have passed since he challenged his first opponent. Every single fight...has ended in the death of his opponent.

And his next prey has already been found...

Powers:
The deadliest martial art ever created, Linear Infighting Neural Override Engagement is designed for one purpose and one purpose alone: to kill the enemy. It was replaced by the US military simply for being too dangerous and is not taught anywhere in the world. And Taron Kimmel is the world's best practitioner of this martial art, his skill so extreme that even with his superpowers suppressed, superhuman martial artists would much rather accept defeat than face this man in single combat.

  • [Razor Hand/Foot]: An advanced technique of LINE, it is usable only by those who possess the ability to massively strengthen their hands and feet. By applying tremendous force and precision, the user transforms their hands and feet into weapons capable of stabbing and cutting through human flesh.

  • [Self-Density Manipulation]: He can manipulate his body's density. If he wants to, he can decrease his density to the extent that he gains flight or increase his density to the point he is the heaviest object on the planet. He can manipulate the density of not just his whole body but also his limbs and all the way down to this fingers. This power grants him immense strength and durability as a result, with the capability of being nearly invulnerable to all types of kinetic weaponry in the world.

  • Limitations:
    • The heavier his whole body becomes, the slower he becomes. There comes a point when, if facing heavy, sustained firepower, he won't even be able to move and would be the equivalent of a living statue. This means his super durability comes at the cost of his mobility which in turn hinders his capability to perform his deadly martial art on an opponent.
    • He is limited in how far he can decrease his body's density. He cannot become intangible.
    • If he focuses on the density of one part of his body he cannot alter the density of his whole body. For example, he can make his hand as solid as a block of concrete but the rest of his body will remain human in density.

    Weaknesses:
    • [Living Being]: He requires all the essential elements that any other human would need such as food, water, and sleep.
    • [Nonhumans]: His martial art is designed to kill humans. It can harm humanoids with identical physiologies as humans but beyond that LINE is rendered useless. Because of his mutant nature, the Jade Dragon never faced this man.
    • [Non-Kinetic Weaponry]: Laser weaponry and other non-kinetic weapons can penetrate his defense though at maximum density he would only be vulnerable to the most powerful of non-kinetic weapons

    Name: The Jade Dragon
    Age: Unknown
    Gender: Male
    Race: Mutant
    Appearance (pics if possible): Image
    Young Blood?: No
    Bio:

This being's tale is spoken in the same tones as urban folklore. It is said that he is the son of a Shaolin master in the Southern Dragon sect, a feasible explanation for his legendary skill in Shaolin Wushu. He is said to have been a real prospect for his respective Shaolin temple, his skill in martial arts so great that he had been expected to revolutionize Wushu all together.

However, his tale takes a darker turn during his teenage years. There are many rumors and theories of the Chinese government's secretive military programs. Everyone knew of the abundance of super-powered heroes in America and there were fears that sooner or later the Americans would use an army of superhumans to take over all of Asia. In order to combat this threat, the Chinese government experimented with many things, one of which was a human.

It is believed that the Jade Dragon was one of those humans experimented on by their own government, taken away from their homes because of their superb physical and mental talents. It is said that his mutation occurred not in the safety of his own temple but in the white-walled prison cell of a government research facility. And that he soon escaped because of his newfound powers and returned back to his father.

It is not known how the reunion between father and son went down but what everyone knows is that eventually, the mutated Shaolin monk would enter the Asian bloodsports, sponsored by a Korean-Chinese criminal organization, and within a year become crowned the latest King of China though everyone knew the new champion as 'The Jade Dragon' of China.

The Jade Dragon would reign in the Hell Matches for years, defeating superhuman fighter after superhuman fighter until finally, no one dared question his power. The mutant champion lived a luxury and comfort during this time, his sponsors having become filthy rich off of his fights.

His life of comfort and indulgement would continue for many years...until a new fighter audaciously challenged him. Virtually everyone besides the challenger's sponsors bet on his victory. Even the Jade Dragon was absolutely confident in his victory. He and everyone that had backed him would be proved wrong on the night of the battle.

Though he still remained an asset of his criminal organization, he no longer participates as a fighter. No, instead, he is combing the globe for worthy opponents and preparing himself for a rematch against the one who best him in single combat...

    Powers:
    • [Crocodilian Physiology]:His 11ft, mutated physiology grants him many powers that would be inaccessible to his former human self. His body is covered in natural, thick dermal armor capable of withstanding small-arms fire. His senses have been greatly enhanced and he is able to traverse underwater for long periods of time at high speeds. He possesses long claws that are hard as steel and his reptilian body has ages slower than humans, meaning his body can remain at its peak for the foreseeable future. He is incredibly flexible and his eyes can adapt perfectly to the night, granting him natural night vision.
    • [Master of Dragon Kung Fu]:There is nobody in the world whose Kung Fu resembles the Jade Dragon's. This is because his Wushu has been adapted to his non-human body, meaning every traditional technique becomes even more dangerous under him. In addition to the traditional art, the Jade Dragon has developed his own style which makes use of his tail and incredible bite strength as powerful weapons.

    Limitations:
    • He will hibernate during winter
    • He cannot stay underwater forever and will eventually have to surface for air
    • His large size means although he is flexible, he is limited in close, tight spaces

    Weaknesses:
    • [The Cold]: He cannot withstand extreme cold. Even in chilly temperatures, his body will become sluggish and his reflexes slower
    • [Speedsters]: A crocodile's natural enemy is the big cat. Why? Because they are faster than the crocodile. The same applies to this mutant martial artist; he is vulnerable to precision-based attacks that are launched at speed and backed by considerable super-strength. Bu recognized this during their fight and so he used Bando's Black Panther style to defeat the Jade Dragon.

I like the concept, but I'm a little iffy on the whole "their gods were responsible for saving the universe numerous times", since the universe is huge in terms of scale and the RP is a bit more grounded than previous ones we've been together in.

I'd also like some clarification on their cosmic powers.

Additionally, while this is more of a lore grip, I'd classify their powers as a kind of magic, since it is granted by otherworldly beings; you might want to amend their limitations accordingly.

I was kinda using universe as a turn of phrase there. But I can narrow it down to galaxy if you prefer :P

The cosmic powers are going to be very diverse. Some people may have Star based powers, some people may have gravity-based powers. It's more "harnessing the energy of a cosmic force" rather than having absolute control over it in most cases. So no one is going to be controlling stars :P

I mean. It's not magic tho. It being kind of like magic doesn't make it magic in a setting where magic is a specific thing that people can use.

Name: Mizuma Ishiwara (usually just goes by Mizu) / Selene
    Age: 16
    Gender: F
    Race: Human
    Appearance (pics if possible):

Young Blood?: Supernovas. Whenever they become real. Until then, yes, YB.
Bio: Mizuma certainly wasn't aware of it back then, but she became a sensation across Earth immediately after being born - and for a good reason. After all, she was the first person in history to have been born on the surface of the Moon, a year after the "Horizons 2000" mission which established the International Moon Base (IMB) in the Sea of Tranquility, one of the many mares of Earth's natural satellite. Mizu's parents were Kenji and Yuko, two Japanese engineers employed in the extraction of helium-3 from the surface of the Moon, and the news that Yuko gave birth to a live girl were met with congratulations from the international community, as it served as proof that not only space habitat, but longterm space colonization are at a hand's reach.

And that was not even the only thing which she could stand out with - after a brief visit to Earth at a very young age, which she barely even remembers, Mizu's superpower began to manifest. If her father is to be believed, he first witnessed it in action when she was four, trying to run away from a babysitter and escape bedtime and instinctively shapeshifted into a mouse to hide under the bed - they had to lift it up to get her out of there. As it turns out, Mizu had a natural born talent for an array of powers related to casting illusions and shapeshifting, eventually refining her abilities into an art of illusion-casting - tricking people and minds for fun, to get what she might need and occassionally to help those in need to the best of her abilities.

The International Moon Base, later nicknamed by its inhabitants to "Town Luna" as something which can roll off the tongue more easily, was a unique environment for Mizu to grow up in. It is a completely utilitarian society, every single adult handpicked by the Horizon mission for their skills or knowledge, whether it is in growing crops, maintaining the facilities or researching all the new information acquired about the Moon. Everyone has a task and everyone knows what they do - but it was far from a dreary prison where everyone spends their days and nights toiling away at their jobs with no end in sight, either. Because most of the work is automated, the inhabitants of the base had enough free time to take care of their tasks, looks after their families and loved ones and have just enough time to take up on a hobby or two. When not studying - and studying on the Moon is tough, as all the new inhabitants of the base need to be prepared into specialists for maintaining it - Mizu spent most of her time hanging out with the small, but slowly growing "Lunarian" population - teenagers and children born on the surface of the Moon just like her. There, thanks to her superpowers, she soon gained the reputation of a prankster, fooling and tricking others with her abilities to extract a good laugh and have fun.

Despite that, however, she was not doing it out of malice at all - it's just fun and games, isn't it? And if she ever went too far, she'd apologize and swear to not do that again...

As Mizu grew up from a cheeky impressionable kid to a mature teenager, so did her ambition. Having fun is good and all, but isn't it about time to put her powers to service, too, do her own part to the community much like everyone else? Despite having not stepped foot on Earth for over a decade, Mizu was highly acquainted with Earth culture and all the new hits happening down there - and, with it, the concept of superheroes. Masked, hardworking defenders of justice, who do the right thing and help those in need, stopping crime, rescuing kitties and helping grannies...

Unfortunately, there is no crime on the Moon. The lives of everyone in Town Luna are monitored closely and all the people brought to the planet by the Horizon mission were thoroughly screened for a criminal record. But... what about Earth, then? Surely, there's people she can help out down there! Plus, she still hasn't seen what Earth looks like and what's the big fuss about it when everyone in the base talks about what's happening there or who the next President of the United States is or whatever... Once her summer break began, Mizu begged her parents to be allowed to travel to Earth for her holidays until they finally acquitted. On late July, a space shuttle carrying a few hundred tons of cargo, mostly helium-3 tanks and machinery which the Moon colonists are unable to repair, and one uppity purple-haired girl alongside them, touched down in Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The first thing which Mizu noted was that... Earth was different. Things she had gotten used to as facts of life did not apply here. For example, she felt like she had a rock chained to her back, pulling her down, she could barely jump a fourth of the height she would usually be able to leap, which became a constant source of problems when she had to adjust to an usual walk cycle instead of leaping from place to place. The sight on an open, endless sky, instead of one covered by a dome and revealing endless darkness above, also took some time adjusting to. No matter, though - Mizu already had a goal set in her head. If she wants to become a superhero for Town Luna, she needs to learn from her peers - and back on the Moon, she heard of a team of young superheroes in the city of San Diego, many of them her age or even younger, who are still open for new members, so why not try her luck out there?

Her smartphone told her that the distance from Florida to San Diego is... pretty big, but she figured it couldn't be that long. After all, her entire world up till this point was about five kilometers wide, "3000 kilometers" was an empty number to her mind, even if a surprising one.

Oh, it actually is that long.

What the crap, that's longer than the circumference of the Moon, how do the Earthlings live with such vast distances between then?!
    Powers:
    • Illusion-Casting: The superpower which Mizu has been able to access since birth. it grants the user ability to trick and fool others through generating and implementing illusions, mirages, shapeshifting, et cetera. It is, as one might imagine, not a superpower which can draw out a lot of destructive power, but it's certainly useful in various support uses.
      • Shapeshifting: Mizu can use her powers to transmute her body into various forms, shapes or sizes on the whim of her imagination. This can include, but is not limited to, people, household objects, animals, inanimate objects or abstract shapes, and may involve her changing her whole body or only parts of her body. Upon shapeshifting, the form and size of her body changes, and it replicates the appearance, sound, smell or feeling of the object she transformed into (essentially making it indistinguishable from the real thing), but not its innate abilities such as strength, powers or knowledge - so she can transform into a Olympium wall, but she won't have the strength of an Olympium wall, and she can transform into Captain Quake, but she won't be able to generate earthquakes.
      • Illusion Generation: Mizu can use her powers to trick other minds into seeing and feeling things which aren't actually there. For example, getting her opponent to believe that one of her allies has just broken through a nearby wall and is about to kick their ass, even though nothing actually happened. Or that this little girl's punches are inflicting them severe pain, even if she is actually unable to hurt them. Or that there are actually twenty Mizus standing all around you and you have to guess which one of them is the real one. Mizu is able to broadcast illusions either to a single person or to an entire crowd, although, with the latter, problems can arise with each person seeing the illusion differently, as her skills are not refined enough to perfectly cast the exact same illusion a hundred times.

    Limitations:
    • Lunarian: Mizu is a native of the Moon and has lived there for most of her life - as such, her body has adapted to the weaker gravity and lower atmospheric pressure of her environment. As her muscles are used to significantly less gravitational strain, Lunarians like her are significantly physically weaker than their Earthling peers - all of the inhabitants of the International Moon Base thus constantly exercise and train their muscles to not completely fall behind, but the difference is still there.
    • Illusions, not Reality Warping: Mizu's illusions are exactly that - illusions. They're fakes, tricks, meant to fool others into seeing things which aren't actually there - and if one manages to grasp that they are just illusions and nothing is happening to them, then Mizu's abilities are severely hampered.
    • Weight Constant: While shapeshifting, not only does Mizu's strength and abilities remain the same, but also her weight, no matter what form she takes. This serves as a limitation for her shapeshifting skills, as it means she cannot shrink or grow too large while using this spell - if she shrinks to the size of a bug, she is going to crack the floor underneath her, if she grows to the size of a building, she's going to be less dense than air and float away - or just pop due to the pressure of air disrupting the structure of her extremely light body. That's not to say that she can't do either, it's just that it comes with severe problems so she opts to not go that extreme.

    Weaknesses:
    • Lack of Offense: Ties into the "Illusions, not Reality Warping" limitation. Mizu's superpower is not tailored towards combat - instead, it's a support power built around tricking and fooling enemies to either get them off your coattails or get them to do what you want. If her opponent is able to see through her illusions, then most of her abilities are pretty much for naught.
    • Concentration: Mizu's Illusion-Casting require the user to be concentrated and of calm mind to be able to successfully cast illusions and shapeshift. Strong, unwelcome emotions such as anger, fear or joy disrupt her usual ability to use her powers.
    • Fragile Bones: Though Mizu can try to make up for the weakness of her muscles with training, her bones, not needing to maintain as much weight and thus significantly weaker than that of an average Earthling, remain a major source of problems. Mizu's bones are significantly easier to pop and break, and with force which normal bones would be able to endure. This means that getting into a fight, even against unpowered opponents, can potentially be deadly to her.

    Outriders
    Image

The Outriders are a group of like minded vigilantes who seek to fight crime using methods not supported by the traditional hero community. Believing that too many exploit the system, fall through the cracks or simply cannot be dealt with effectively by traditional law enforcement or heroes they have taken it upon themselves to act as judge, jury and executioner the criminal underbelly of San Diego. Their ranks are made up of a diverse gathering from humans, meta-humans, Dra'Quinni and even a Valkyrie. However, there methods tend to make a lot of enemies and they are hunted as outlaws by authorities from the San Diego Police Department to possibly even other heroes as well as the criminals and dangerous sociopaths they target.

Faction Name: The Empire of Jovia

Faction Location/Territory: The Empire is centered around the planet CI Tau B, but its territory stretches across that particular solar system, with establishments on three neighboring gas planets.

Tech Level: Very advanced. Perhaps not as much as other alien empires in existence, but when it comes to technology in fields such as gravity, matter manipulation, and life-sustainment, Jovia can't be beaten. However, some better military and weapons technology would help.

Description/Lore: Unlike many other alien races, who are primarily focused on power, war, and exploration, the Jovians have spent time developing their empire to be one of culture, art, and science. In fact, Jovians are often characterized as being calm diplomats, often very peaceful in nature and reluctant to partake in any diplomatic or physical battles. They are reclusive and prefer to stay within the confines of their own territory, developing Jovian technologies to enhance their quality of life, building interstellar trade and commerce relations with other races, and creating a distinct Jovian lifestyle, one focused on the acquisition of knowledge, leisure, and creating artistic outlets and expressions.

The Jovian government is ruled by the Jovian Crown, the house of royals, the Emperor, the Empress (who acts as the Emperor's closest advisor) and his family, both close and extended. The Jovian Emperor is a family dynasty, a crown that is passed down from parent to child, king to prince as the years go by. The only way to break the family tradition is through a coup, which has only been attempted twice, with no success. The Crown is widely adored by the populace, and they know how to clamp down on their critics with an iron fist. Below the Crown is the House of Judaias and the House of Xeon, named after the first Emperor and Empress of Jovia. The House of Judaias consists of the lawmakers and overseeing collective of noblemen, who act as the governing body of the Empire. The House of Xeon oversees the Church of Jovia, the main religion in the Empire, as well as other minor religions within the Empire. Religion is considered very important within Jovia, and it is illegal to contradict or speak blasphemy of the Church of Jovia.

Along with these government bodies, there are two other main authoritative forces; the Court of Quinx, and the Crystal Guard. The Quinx Court is the highest judgemental body, and consists of many of the most intelligent and accredited Jovians. The Quinx Court makes decisions on important matters, such as affairs concerning the Crown, interstellar commerce, defense, and high-level criminal activity. The Crystal Guard is the military force of the Jovian Empire, and is further split into two branches; the Traton Force for domestic threats and boots-on-the-ground battle, and the Czarge Force for interstellar threats and battle, mostly consisting of the empire's space fleet. All governmental bodies have delegations in major Jovian territories.

However, things have been changing under the new rule. The recently crowned emperor, Emperor Yordanov, has been drastically expanding the military and defense forces of the Empire, heavily investing in weapons technology, and pushing for more expansion into other planets, hoping to eventually set up a colony on the nearest star, the star that Jovia revolves around.

Population Size: Approximately five billion individuals inhabit the Empire of Jovia's territory. Roughly one billion of these are non-native Jovian and are immigrants to Jovian territories.

Army Size: Roughly fifty million individuals are in the Crystal Guard, composing around 1% of the total population.

Races that are part of the faction: The Jovian Empire is mostly composed of native Jovians, but there are small populations of other races, such as Ma'gar, Antevarians, and Nik'Drazil.

Additional Info: The Jovians are currently exploring possibilities of colonies and exploratory missions into other solar systems.

    Race Name: Jovian
World of Origin: CI Tau B

Territories: The main bulk of Jovians live on CI Tau B, their homeworld, but many have moved to other territories, the three neighbouring gas giants across the CI Tau Solar System.

    Race Appearance:
    Image

    Description/Lore:

No one really knows when Jovians came into existence. The first records place them as existing roughly two billion years ago, but there is evidence to suggest that they existed before that. Whatever the case, they came into existence as a scattered group of tribes, with no real ruler. In fact, they were actually aquatic, making their home in the huge layer of liquid metal surrounding CI Tau B's core. To feed, they would drink the metal, using the raw energy from the excited atoms to sustain their body and keep functions moving, sustaining their diet by...cannibalism. Yes, for thousands of years, the tribes were anarchists, sustaining themselves with Jovian meat and liquid metal hydrogen.

However, one Jovian, Judaias, discovered the amazing properties of ice crystals that would form from the superionic water, and he lead his tribe down below the surface. After days of swimming, they came across something amazing. A core, a solid surface, made of rock and ice. Coated in these amazing, glowing ice crystals. They had struck gold. Over the next years, Judaias and his Lady Xeon worked to create a colony on the rocky core of Tau B, harvesting crystals for energy and inviting others to establish the colony. The crystals provided much more energy, enough to sustain life with tiny quantities. The crystals were also durable, tougher than any other material. They began to use the properties of the crystals, along with the ionic water and ice around them to craft shelters and make advancements in technology, making their land hospitable. Judaias died a nobleman, and the Jovian Empire was born.

Since then, the Empire of Jovia has flourished, evolving to become able to breathe methane gas instead of relying on the liquid metal. The empire now stretches across the outer reaches of the Solar System, with branches or delegations of the Empire forming in claimed territory, with the main heart of the Empire in Tau B. They are ruled by local delegations for each city, essentially local or state-level representatives of the Crown, the Government, the Court, and the Guard. The society is ruled as a monarchy, with distinct socioeconomic classes, and while there are no castes, one can easily tell the difference between the rich and the poor.

Jovians also grew to love culture. They became fascinated early on with creating art, usually in the form of repeating patterns, murals, abstract shapes, and very impressionistic drawings, usually either carved or sculpted. Music was first created by forming crude instruments out of ice, and have now become massive affairs, with traveling bands of minstrels often performing daily concerts in the city squares. Even aspects such as theatre are common, and many love to charade. Art is everywhere, in the crystal buildings, the walkways, the stones, everywhere. Jovians are obsessed with their life and culture, and are focused on improving their lives. They are not combative people, but a brave few join the military, and with the rise of Yordanov as Emperor, the force is becoming powerful, with advancing weapons technology, powerful crystal weapons, and fledgling space fleets. In the last few years, Yordanov has pushed their territory from one planet to four, and is now currently approaching the idea of domination of the CI Tau Solar System, something that many Jovians support.

    Race Powers:
    • Jovian Physiology:
      • Enhanced Strength: Due to the stronger gravitational forces and immense pressure on Neptune, the muscles and skeletons of Jovians are much stronger compared to those of humans, allowing them to achieve much greater strength-based feats than humans. Their upper limits have never been quantified, but lifting several tons with ease is not out of their wheelhouse.
      • Enhanced Durability/Endurance: Jovians live at the core of CI Tau B, with massive pressure, very severe temperatures, and magnetic fields beating down. As such, they are some of the toughest around, and can easily survive human tools such as bombs (although the fire could pose an issue), hydraulic presses, and levels of heat equivalent to being exposed to the surface of the sun.
      • Enhanced Intellect: While it is not a major boost, Jovians are very intelligent and creative beings and are known for their advancement in certain fields of technology, as well as their cunning when it comes to other fields, such as negotiation, diplomacy, and more.
      • Flight: Jovians have natural wings on their back, and the frame of the wings, combined with a precise balancing system located near their temples, they can fly similar to a hummingbird, using their strength and endurance to beat their wings incredibly fast, giving them strong control over their flight, and allowing them to perform aerial maneuvers.
      • Claws & Talons: When they need to get physical, they can also get in close with sharp talons at the ends of their arms and on the undersides of their bellies, which can be used for gripping, slashing, and flaying.

    Race Limitations:
    • Magic: Jovians have no ability whatsoever to harness magic of any kind. Pretty self-explanatory.
    • Breathing: Due to the constraints of their homeworld, Jovians breathe in methane to sustain their lives on Tau B and other planets, much like how humans breathe in oxygen for cellular respiration. However, this can limit certain worlds that they can travel to without literal packs of methane to breathe in.

    Race Weaknesses:
    • The Head: While Jovians are unbelievably tough, strong blows to the head can be fatal. This is because the inner liquid balance system of a Jovian is located in the head, as well as their brains. While their skulls are durable, the fluid in both the temples and the skull (helps to lubricate and pad the brain) can be violently disrupted, and it can cause the brain to slam against the skull, leading to injury and death.
    • Slow: Due to their heavy weight and lack of aerial mobility, Jovians have trouble getting around. They can fly at 20 MPH tops, but it's hard for them to get around, especially in the middle of a fight. Doesn't help that they're kind of large, making them easy targets.
    • Metabolism: Due to the power in their bones and muscles, Jovians need massive amounts of food and energy to sustain themselves, or they will exhaust themselves quickly. And they need energy frequently, so they need to stockpile during military invasions.
    • Low Pressure: On CI Tau B, Jovia is subject to extremely high gravitational forces, atmospheric pressure, and magnetic fields. This makes their skeletons, muscles, and hearts much stronger than other organisms. However, when exposed to a zero-gravity environment like space, their bones and muscles are not prepared for the lack of anchoring force, and immediately degrade, with the heart eventually failing after just seconds of zero gravity. As such, they must wear pressurized suits when in space or in other environments to prevent fatalities, but these suits can be easily breached with heavy weaponry.
    • Cold: Jovia is located underneath a field of hot liquid metal, and the core is almost as hot as the surface of the sun. Jovians withstand this due to special chemicals and hormones in their body that cool the blood, dilate the vessels, and slow the heartbeat, which prevents the body from overheating. However, they have no such system for cold, and will perish in any temperature lower than 1000 C. As such, their pressure suits also double as heaters to keep them warm.

    Additional info:

    • Jovians hold crystals in high regard, often involving them in festivities and ceremonies, adorning them on their bodies like jewelry, and even using them as currency.

    • Jovians are fascinated by other worlds, and often send radio signals to other planets outside of the solar system, to no avail.

Maybe. What did you plan to do with them?

Besides building the framework for my guy's backstory, they would be antagonists to both the YBs and The Outriders. But, instead of being your typical evil corp wanting to take over the world, they are just a amoral corporation wanting to increase their profits and protect and increase their assets, both legally and illegally. They usually hire out "outside personel" to accomplish their more illegal and evil action, making sure they cannot be linked to the crimes they commit. The storylines they are involved in will often involve them doing things like sabotaging competitors, wanting to take advantage of alien races and the energy sources and tech they bring with them, eliminating problem employees, ETC .

Them being an antagonist for the YB does not likely fit the road map we have planned thus far. Plus, most of the major villains will be played by either the OP or the co-ops.

On top of that, and I mean no offense when I say this. You posting habits have not led us to believe that you having a villain faction would be a good idea.

Edit: On top of all of that. We've got a large number of "evil corporations" as is.

I'm concerned about her being a murderer though. While we do allow them and have a few in our ranks, they mostly have to do solo stuff or go out of their way to insert themselves into the current arc or else start collaborative scenes with other players; we don't guarantee non-Young Bloods always having something to do that is central to the plot.

For a turn of phrase I think world would be a better fit. Also, I'd still like you to try to explain it a bit more in the application.

    Thanks Zark!
Vanq commands a quiet respect that carries its own authority. He is the Hitler of NS.

"I took away Vanq's YB for deliberatly ignoring me"
"I know Vanq is a very good writer and this is how he treats someone of lesser skill?"
"I would love to have a writer of your caliber along for the ride"
"neo and vanq do a dbz fusion to form 1 big shitposter then get erased from NS by kyrusia"
"Which is the level of memeing I expect from Vanq"
"brigadier general comes on, pulls a vanq and calls us all autistic"

    Fixed that.
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

    Read my RWBY fanfiction!

Well, murder is just illegal killing and that's what the Outriders are doing so my character isn't entirely alone in that aspect. Maybe she could be a villain to them if she gets accepted

There is no such thing as peace, only truce between wars
