And I have no idea if the dimensions on the Nightswan are entirely right just yet, but they should give a good idea of about where it's at. Apologies for that.Pilot Application
Name: Julia Lionhardt
Age: 19 legally, actual age unknown.
Gender: Female
Appearance
Personality: Julia is distant until she isn't - she rarely allows herself to open up to people until they've flown together and she has a fair degree of trust for them. However, to the people she does open up to she is by warm, willing to laugh and fiercely protective and can often find herself attempting to mother veteran soldiers three times her age. At the same time, this can often overspill into arrogance, aggressiveness and straight-up recklessness once her blood is pumping. At the same time she has a potentially-crippling deference to authority - irrespective of its proven quality - along with an equally-obsessive fixation of the Corps' ingrained values; both a result of her upbringing with the orphanage. Speaking of the orphanage, Julia rarely ever has emotional distance with other Julias and always seeks them out to form an unofficial support network with if at all possible. Whether this behaviour is pathalogical or something else is currently unknown, but few of her superiors have tried to stop her yet.
Backstory: There are hundreds of Julia Lionhardts on Uriel. Every female housed and raised by the military orphanages - left on their steps, picked up off the streets or a jail cell or taken from parents deemed unfit - has that name, a part of the strict uniformity imposed on them from their first day onwards. For this version of Julia, that uniformity is all she's ever known. Her sisters for as long as her memories permit were the other Julias who dressed like her, spoke like her, thought like her. Her mothers and aunts were the instructors and matrons who lived with her, taught her, disciplined her when and where they considered it necessary.
It could have been a miserable existence, but she knew nothing else. It simply was the life she had and she lived it as best she could, searching for what beauty she could in the free time between drills and exercises and lessons on the absolute authority of the Supreme Commander. She dabbled in art, taking on extra duties and lessons to scrape together the money for paints and paper. Her early attempts were nothing short of atrocious, and she improved little over time, but the end product was never the point. For a handful of moments a day, she could snatch herself a moment of genuine self-expression.
When she reached eighteen, there was no question of what she would do. She simply didn't have the mental space to question her duties as a citizen - she signed up, just as every other Julia did. However, instead of being assigned to the Army or Navy proper as her peers were, this Julia found herself being trained and augmented to pilot a mech. She didn't question this decision, of course - she was barely aware that she could question it - and she took to her training with the zeal and determination she knew was expected of a Julia.
It wasn't long before she was through with basic training and assigned to a small skirmishing fleet with a squadron of her fellows in order to give them a taste of combat before they were thrust into the frontlines. Despite lacking real combat experience Julia managed to make a name for herself over the course of a three-month campaign, racking up seven confirmed kills before the Corps was forced to withdraw by the arrival of enemy reinforcements. As one of the few highlights of the campaign, Julia's exploits were fed into the propaganda machine and she soon became a minor celebrity amongst other Julias - as a role model and a shining beacon of what they could aspire to in their duties. Even still, the failure of the campaign smarts with her as she is redeployed and she spends as much of her free time riding the simulators as she does working on her art.
Faction: RCMC
Nationality: Urian
Skills: Julia is a highly talented mech pilot, capable of reacting rapidly to changing situations and improvising solutions where necessary - though she very much lacks the wealth of experience a genuine veteran can call upon which can often lead to her acting rashly and without due caution. From her years at the orphanage, she has a detailed knowledge of small arms operation and maintenance, first aid, and basic hand-to-hand combat, and her artwork is almost tolerable to look at after years of practice.
Equipment: A small kinetic-round pistol as a holdout, her flight suit, a survival knife, various painting supplies and pieces of art and a small, unadorned metal bracelet given to each Julia when they leave their orphanage.

Mech Application
Name: Nightswan
Weight: 65 tonnes
Height: 7.5m
Load Capacity: 3
Armour: Light, though more intended to deflect and disperse energy blasts, explosions and sensor pings than shrapnel, kinetic weaponry or melee weapons.
Loadout: Variable. Two forearm-integrated grappling hooks are built into the Nightswan's frame for manoeuvring and combat utility, as well as a pair of light machine guns for anti-missile purposes or to damage exposed systems and thrust mufflers are built into its manoeuvring jets and main drive to help hide it. Add-on equipment is generally a pair of shoulder-mounted ECM pods, a vibroblade, a light beam rifle and a wrist rotor for basic defence though different loadouts can be used for specialist missions. Finally, the Nightswan has hard points which can be affixed to missile pods or individual larger missiles, additional inert or reactive armour, more intensive stealth systems, large-bore weapons or flight boosters. However, with the exception of the flight booster, these severely compromise the suit's ability to manoeuvre, and the flight booster prevents the use of most stealth aspects and weaponry.
