Reads better now I think. I know what you mean though - I have often re-written paragraphs in reports solely to retain a particular bon mot. :)

Good to hear, thanks for the earlier critique

First, they refound an occupied region right before the liberation proposal (which I and countless others voted for) passes, and now they want to repeal the very proposal that was intended to thwart them in the first place? This is double-gloating if you ask me. Very strongly AGAINST.

Not entirely sure why this would surprise you, given that a refound was evidently a stated goal from the beginning, nor why the Liberation passing matters in that regard.
and now they want to repeal the very proposal that was intended to thwart them in the first place?

There is no 'they' in the creation of the draft/proposal, only an 'I'

Edit: Regarding the gloating, this is nowhere near what I'd consider gloating given that it (like the Liberation itself) doesn't even name the raiding organizations involved.

I don’t believe that we should be judging Security Council proposals based off of the author proposing them. Now, there are some exceptions to this of course, but it’s a personal preference of mine that I look at the actual contents of a resolution and decide on that basis.

That being said, yes: LD is a Lieutenant of the Black Hawks; obviously. But here, I think that’s irrelevant when the proposed draft doesn’t even mention the name of any invader organization. This is hardly gloating, and while the passage of the initial proposal to liberate the region ended up proving to be a waste of time due to a refound, this draft is opportune in correcting that.

On a personal account, support. I do not represent Pacifica, as it is to my understanding we wish to be neutral on all things concerning the target region.

Agreed, but as you say there are always exceptions. However, this is not one of them.

Couldn’t have put it better myself.

Certainty do not see the proposed repeal as gloating. The liberation failed in its purpose, no point in leaving it on the books.

Just to clarify, we were initially neutral on the liberation resolution, but after Politics Amino had been refounded by the invading force we voted for the liberation resolution since it would no longer impact a military operation undertaken by our diplomatic partners. We have since clarified that we will oppose unjustified regional destruction in the future regardless of who is engaging in it, and I've clarified on our behalf that we will oppose repeal of the liberation resolution unless repeal is supported by the native Delegate. That is still the position of the Republic of Pacifica.

All of that said, it's fine for Kostrorleauny to have his own opinion on it and to vote accordingly when the time comes, so no worries there.

As the person currently holding the founder nation, I sanction this proposal. After Benja allowed it to CTE so I could refound it, I tried contacting the native's to give them back their region. I unfortunately have not gotten a reply from the previous native delegate, and I tried at least two other natives before I was able to get a reply.

The reply was that the previous natives of Politics Amino consider their new region to be their permanent home, and do not wish to take the region back. I sanction this proposal so as to diminish the value of the region in the future when I myself let it CTE, so as to give whoever refounds it a less valued trophy region like I did with The Communal Confederacy.

I have two quick comments:
Lord Dominator wrote:Saddened therefore that Politics Amino was refounded by raider forces before it could be saved from absolute destruction via a Security Council Liberation,

This is a personal opinion, so feel free to disregard it, but I would fully write out "Security Council" instead of abbreviating it.
Hereby Repeals [resolution=SC#277]SC#277 Liberate Politics Amino[/resolution].

Debatably less of an opinion, but still feel free to disregard: most resolutions capitalize the formal action that the SC is taking that corresponds to the resolution type, i.e. Liberate, Commend, Condemn, and Repeal. It can be argued that it's just a cosmetic thing, but even so I think adds a little bit more weight to the operative clause.

Very straight forward with well thought arguements: 10 out of 10, would nitpick again. :P

Hey, I just got a bright idea in my little head!

What if.... We were to vote against this thing? That way when the founder CTE we'll be able to actually give the region back to the natives. I think we should just keep the liberation up there as a "preemptive measure" if you will. I mean come on! We can't just give up on the natives just because the region was refounded. We're living in an age where it's completely normal to liberate regions with founders in them, right? We might as well keep the liberation up there for when we need it.

The way I'm looking at this is it's sort of like a condemnation with teeth in it. I think there should be actual gameplay consequences for raiders when natives get trampled on in their own lands.

As an Ambassador from the nation of Forestavia, I'm going to stand with the natives on this one and vote firmly AGAINST this repeal. We must show our strength as a world government body by showing the world that we are true to our principles through and through. Let's keep hope alive for the natives and vote against this repeal.

I didn't see this until just now. Well that changes everything. In that case I'll change my vote back to in favor. I guess I picked the wrong battle today. I should have been more informed. Please ignore my previous post.
