Imperial Palace, Kyoto, Amurria

“Your Majesty, Your Majesty, I am honoured to have you join me at my table tonight.” Emperor Yamato began as the appetizer arrived at the table. The room was decorated in the traditional Amurrian style, with the three flags of the nations in the centre of the table. The appetizer was Minjokian kimchi, served with a side of salad and miso soup. King Richard picked up the chopsticks and poked gingerly and the kimchi, unsure to make of it.
“Forgive me, Emperor Yi, but what is this dish?” King Richard asked.

“Ah, it is traditional Minjokian fermented spiced cabbage, or kimchi.”

“I see.” King Richard took a bite and set it down. “A bit too spicy for me, I fear.” He reached for a spoon and sipped at the soup. “So, gentlemen, regarding the current situation. We are all aware that the New Konigstadt Pact has been declared, yes?”

"Yes." Said the other two.

Richard continued: "But even then we will still maintain our trade relations with the Empire of Amurria and Federal Republic of Minjok. We do not plan in making you our enemies. And we think you don't either. Thus, we want to continue to prosper economically alongside you."

"We do the same." Replied Jax. "But, while we, the heads of state of three great countries are here, let's get to know each other's country better, shall we?"

"I agree." Said King Richard as he finished put the spoon besides the soup bowl. "I wondered, how much power to the Amurrian nobles have?"

"It depends on which House a noble is part of. If he is part of one of the Great Houses, Edo, Kyoto, Hokkaido and Kyushu, he has the ability to be assigned as the Lord of a Prefecture. If he is of one of the Lesser Great Houses, Sina and Korea, he can become the Lord of a city in those House's territory. The same applies for all the other Lesser Houses. An example would be the Lesser House of Isuzu, of which the Prime Minister is part of. While it does not have any power, it can own a small squad of the Imperial Guard to protect it's seat. The House of Tokugawa, of which the Shogun is part of, is an exception. It is the House which founded the House of Hokkaido, but soon after 1918 they were split. The Tokugawa still rule over Hokkaido, but they are subordinates to the House of Hokkaido. What about the Candanadian Houses?"

"Well in Candanadium we have five Great Houses: House Magnar, House Eisenschild, House Brimmhalle, House Fischer and House Wagner. All other Minor Houses swear fealty to one of these Houses or directly to the Crown, for example, the Chancellor is of House Bernier, which is sworn to the Crown directly but House Greenhand is sworn to House Brimmhalle. In the olden days the Minor Houses served as bannermen to the Noble Houses and would provide their men in times of war and would offer a share of their harvest to their Liege Lords. Nowadays it is still customary for the Liege Lord to hold a harvest feast for his bannermen but the days of raising peasant levies are over. The Great Houses are all sworn to the Crown. Right now the Crown belongs to House Magnar of New Konigstadt, which means the other Great Houses all bend the knee to House Magnar."

"That sounds complicated, I'll be honest. But we are not here to judge one another's system. You hold on to your traditions, and try to modernize, while we modernize, and try to maintain ours."

"True. We enacted a bill banning arranged marriages recently, Bill C-97. I take it in Amurria arranged marriages are still legal?"

"No, they were banned in 1974, during the First Republic. Before that, they were still uncommon, between the nobles, but in villages they still happened. And keep happening, despite our efforts to end this relic of a dark age."

"Regarding marriages, why is the no Empress of Amurria?" Asked King Richard.

"Well... there are plans for two. I'll be brief: the Shogun and the Prime Minister, as both are related, being twin sisters." Jax replied as he began eating.

Richard kept silent and too began eating. A grave silence followed until the Minjokian Emperor asked:

"So, we will maintain the status quo?"

"Yes, I hope it is alright if we continue our mining operations in Candanadium, and in exchange we keep giving you food."

"It is. And I hope this deal will remain active for as long as possible." Ended Richard.

After that they finally began to eat the now mildly-hot food, and soon enough were on their way to each's home nation, of course, with gifts from the Great Houses of Amurria.

Emperor Meiji International Airport, Kyoto, Amurria

RCAF One taxied towards the waiting convoy of vehicles in the early morning light. King Richard had announced his departure late last evening, catching the Amurrians off guard. The Candanadian Ambassador, Hans van Magnar, was with them, about to head to Chang'an, Jazado, for the first meeting of the New Konigstadt Pact. King Richard stood, waiting. He was dressed in the uniform of the Candanadium Defence Forces today, with his ancestral longsword strapped to his waist.

"Your Majesty, are you sure this is wise? The Amurrians will not be happy to hear this." Hans asked. He was a distant relative to the King, a Magnar of Old Konigstadt. A new ambassador was on his way to replace him, however, since his father had recently come down with a mysterious illness. Hans was second in line for the Lordship of Old Konigstadt, but he needed to make his claim be known. King Richard looked at him.

"Our blood allies take precedence over trade partners. The NKP Conference is tomorrow. Would you have me miss a top-level diplomatic meeting for the Emperor of Amurria? Plus, the man has his own matters to deal with. He's getting married soon, and to two wives."

"Truly? These Amurrians really are a strange people. One might even say barbaric. Though I have a good feeling about who the Emperor will marry." The Chancellor added, emerging from the second limousine. RCAF One came to a stop before them, shrouded in the morning mist. The doors opened, and the Chancellor made his way inside. The King was always the last person on the plane, so that the doors could be shut behind him. RCAF One was pleasantly warm on the inside, and Maxime made his way towards the onboard office.

"A double double, please. And some breakfast." He said to a passing flight attendant. The double double was Candanadium's favourite kind of coffee, with equal servings of cream and sugar. Maxime liked tea well enough, but it would be nice to have some familiar food. He set his briefcase down on the desk, buckled up, and opened up his laptop. There were a few emails to process, one from the Premier of Guantanamo Bay. As he clicked on the email, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." He said. The door opened, revealing the King. "Your Majesty."

"Maxime. What's the news this morning?" The King was holding a mug of steaming coffee, and dragged up a chair in front of Maxime's desk.

"Well, the Premier of Gitmo wants us to send him new maps. He's complaining that the maps he has right now don't have Guantanamo Bay on them as part of Candanadium."

"Let the man have his maps, what harm can it do." The King said, nonchalantly. "Any news from the east?"

"The Jazadoans have responded to my email. They'll be welcoming us with open arms at Chang'an. By the way, I must ask, why did we have to leave early? The Amurrian Emperor wanted to show you Edo, from what I understand, and Princess Ella has become rather infatuated with an Amurrian boy she met at dinner."

"Ella will outgrow that. She knows we can't stay in Amurria forever. We cannot keep our true allies waiting for long. What kind of message will it send when it's revealed that King Richard would rather dine on raw fish with the Amurrians rather than meet with his cousin? When we arrive in Ebrilond for the negotiations, I think you'd rather be seen with the true military power in Asia." The King took a sip of his coffee as the plane began speeding up. "Have you seen what the Amurrians have done to New Zealand? By the looks of it, they want to re-establish the British Empire. My family fought the British for generations to build our country up from scratch. What do you think my ancestors would say if they saw us with neo-British sympathizers?" King Richard set his cup down. "We fought against the people who created Amurria, which shaped our very land to be what it is today."

"So what would you have of them? What would you have of our allies?" Maxime asked.

"Vengeance." The King picked up the lapel pin that was left on the desk by Maxime. "Justice." He pressed it to his palm tightly. "Fire, blood, sweat, and tears."

Aboard the RCAF One, over the Sea of Japan, heading south

There was a knock on the door of the office.

"Mr. Chancellor, breakfast is served." The flight attendant came in with two platters of food. She set it down on the conference table in the middle of the room, and left. Ethan Wagner followed her in.

"Ethan. How's the Jade Dragon doing?" Maxime stood and headed over to the conference table. Ethan took a seat.

"The man or the ship? I fear I only have news concerning one of them." Breakfast were waffles, hash browns, eggs Benedict, bacon, and a fruit platter, served with maple syrup and a selection of bread. Maximed chuckled, and dug in to the food.

"The ship, of course. Where is she?"

"Less than a day from the blockade. I'll have them sail into Melbourne Harbour and remain there, but we won't give the order for the men to go ashore just yet. The carriers will be there to announce our presence and remind them who they're dealing with." Ethan picked up a slice of black bread and reached for the jam.

"The King's in a foul mood today. From what I can tell, he's angry over the New Zealand business. Amurria's trying to revive the British Empire, believe it or not. they've renamed New Zealand to 'Nova Britannia'. Ridiculous, eh?" Maxime poured the maple syrup over his waffles.

"Of course he's mad. The British haven't ruled us for over two hundred years, but now some idiots have to go and try to revive them. What kind of message does it send to the people at home if we start getting close with these wannabe Brits?" Ethan took a bite of his bread.

"You ought to be Minister of Domestic Affairs, not Foreign Affairs." Maxime remarked, only half jokingly. "I think I know what we should do with New Zealand. The Jazadoans are there already, on the South Island. We'll talk to them about it." He ate a bit of the waffle.

"That's good. Apparently New Karelograd and Adryia will be at the conference too, I'll talk to the Karelogradians. It's about time we expanded our diplomatic influence."

"About time. The Emperor of Amurria is getting married soon, to two wives. Sisters, too." Ethan spat out his coffee.

"What? You can't be serious!" He exclaimed in disbelief.

"He's marrying the Shogun and Prime Minister, who are actually related. I can only imagine how that will turn out." Maxime shook his head. "This is what happens when you think with your penis instead of your brain."

"He must be insane. How is that even legal in Amurria?"

"His Majesty is equally shocked. The way he sees it, this marriage is a celebration of the conquest of New Zealand, and yet another snub in our faces."

"I feel sorry for the man, one wife is enough for me." The two laughed.

Royal Airport, Karelograd

"My Tsar, we must hurry!" his political advisor said, anxiously. "We'll be late to the conference in Chang'an!".

"I know, I'm hurrying.". Alexei responded. KISO Royal Guards had already boarded the planes, armed with K-53's, an automatic rifle.

"Sir, we've never met any of these nations. Aren't you just a bit nervous?"

"Yes, I am." the Tsar responded. "However, I am exited as well. If this goes well, our diplomatic tie will soar! Imagine the possibilities!". The plane took off.

"Whatever you say, my Tsar.".

Chang’An, Jazado, 25th January 2019

The streets of Chang’An were filled with jubilee and rejoice as the JAF marched down its streets, everyone perfectly in sync with one another marched. The grey coloured uniforms of the Infantry with golden lions on the shoulders of the uniform flashed by with their rifles up, everyman singing the 没有共产党就没有新中国as they passed. The Marine Corps with their sharpened bayonets and AR38s followed behind, the bayonet points gleamed under the sun and shined gold. Then there came the 5th Armor Division with its crewmen showing their faces to the people and the infantry ridding on the side of the tanks waving at the people on the streets as they passed by. The Emperor Liu Kang and his advisors and administrators Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and the Chairman all made an appearance at the heavily armed conference.

Jazadoan Infantry escorted the delegations from Adryia and New Karelograd followed by soldiers from their respected nations. However, the Candanadian delegation was nowhere to be seen, strange awfully strange, if there was no Cananadium the alliance would need a new name. As the delegates took their seats in the congress hall of Chang’An all parties were more than eager to discuss the terms of the alliance, then as expected and as usual the Candanadians made their appearance. Late as expected, present as usual and always there with something to say. The RAF escorted King Richard and the others to their seats followed by a Jazadoan escort. The entire hall was full of Jazadoan soldiers and politicians who wanted to get something done.

“Ah, my kinsmen its good to see you here, though it is a shame that you had to miss the military parade.” Said Emperor Liu Kang as he addressed King Richard.

“Well we were in a rush to get here, and as you always say, no Amurrian is going to stop us.” Answered Richard as he took his seat.

“Attention delegates!” Cried the Chairman as he tried to calm the crowd. “The talks shall begin in half an hour and so all of you should take this time to get acquainted with one another and start drafting your speeches.” Delegates exchanged names and ideas and talked amongst each other, each party seeking to find others who shared a common interest with them were more than eager to meet the countless opportunities in front of them. The King Richard of Candanadium walked alongside Liu Kang the Emperor of Jazado, they discussed the current events and talked.

“So how was the trip to Amurria?” Asked Liu Kang.

“It wasn’t what I thought it would have been better, but it was… enough.” Answered Richard, “All of it was not that bad until the Emperor well I assume you’ve heard.”

“Yes, I believe that we all have, that pretender seems to believe that one woman isn’t enough and that two are required, the degeneracy.”

“I just assumed that it was normal in Amurria, they follow a cult after all.”

“And we’re supposed to be the uncultured swine that threw away our tradition for Christianity, we’ve been Christian for over a thousand years, but they’ve only been cultists for around what eighty years?”

“Something like that.”

“Secular and Godless those Amurrians, it’s what happens in the absence of God, paganism and degeneracy. At least my Kinsmen are wholesome even though your blood is mixed.”

“Ladies and Gentlemen the conference is starting, may everyone return to their positions.” Echoed the Chairman as he informed the delegates.

“The Article Reads:
1) All members of this treaty must join in the defensive wars of any other nation that signs onto the treaty, if they do not intervene and aid their fellow allies this will be viewed as an act of treason and will result in the nation being expelled from the coalition. Arms Sanctions and Trade Embargoes will follow suit after the conflict has been resolved.

2) All member states must send aid to any member state in the coalition involved in an offensive war, no actual divisions are needed to be deployed sending weapons and supplies such as food, water and ammunition is all that is required, refusing to do so without a valid Casus Belli will be viewed as an act of treason and will result in the nation being expelled from the coalition. Arms Sanctions and Trade Embargoes will follow suit after the conflict has been resolved.

3) If any member state has a dispute with another in the coalition a conference will be established to negotiate the terms and settle on a common ground, if no common ground can be found it will be up to the Jazadoan Government to decide which party is right and which party is wrong, depending on the severity of the situation and dispute punishments will range from Sanctions and Embargoes to Military Intervention and Military Occupations.

4) The headquarters of the NKP will be here in Chang’An and member states are required to contribute at least one Jazadoan Infantry Divisions’ worth of men (38,500-41,200) and supply them with equipment. There should be at least five times the amount of equipment necessary to sustain these divisions provided by each member state, these special divisions will have mixed nationalities and ethnic groups so that none of them have total allegiances to other member states in particular, they will be used to safeguard our protectorates and aid in conflicts if the need arises.

5) International training programs will commence in the Xingjiang area, this will include Jazadoan, Candanadian, New Karelogradian and Adryian soldiers, the purpose of such a program is to improve military tactics and strategy and to create a better bond between our men so that they may preform better on the field. The harsh and arid environment of the Tarim Basin will prove to be adequate training grounds to harden our men, training programs will also take place in Candanadian lands as the low temperatures will gradually accustom our men to the freezing winters that they will inevitably face.

6) The NKP high council will be established and will consist of One Jazadoan, One Candanadian, One Adryian, One New Karelogradian and two Tribunes who will be given the power of veto and be voted on by the already established four.

7) No military intervention or aid to other nations may take place without the authorization of the NKP high council unless the nation is either a primary or secondary belligerent of a war that the nation may be involved in, things such as blockades, expeditionary forces and so forth from any nation will not be permitted until they are authorized and all that are currently in action must come to an end.

These are the terms of the treaty, now copies of this have already been handed out to your fellow delegates and any amendments that are relevant may be entertained.” Ended the Chairman as he addressed the crowd.

Chang'an, Jazado

Maxime raised his placard. The Jazadoan Chairman nodded at him, and he rose and spoke.

"Mr. Speaker, I would like to request an unmoderated caucus for half an hour. The Candanadian delegation wishes to communicate with some of our new allies."

"That will be in order. Meeting adjourned." The Chairman banged his gavel and left. Maxime turned to Ethan.

"Go talk to the Adryians, I will talk to the Karelogradians." He headed towards the huddled group of Karelogradians, talking in hushed voices amongst themselves. One of them had two guards beside him, clutching their rifles tightly. The man in the middle was tall and bearded, laughing at something. Maxime approached him and bowed.

"My Tsar, I am Lord Maxime van Bernier, Chancellor of Candanadium. It is an honour to meet you." The Tsar turned to him.

"Chancellor. I am Tsar Alexei Kivisto. We have heard many things about your kingdom." The Tsar shook his hand.

"I wanted to speak to you regarding the establishment of diplomatic relations between our kingdoms. The King's own cousin has offered to serve as ambassador to New Karelograd." Maxime gestured to Tobias, who was speaking with a Jazadoan. "He recently resigned his post as ambassador to Amurria."

"My lord, you honour us. I will speak to my advisers. We will speak again soon."

"Of course. I wish you good fortune in the wars to come."

"And to you, Chancellor." Maxime walked back towards his seat. Ethan was waiting for him, with a speech in hand.

"What's that you've got there? An amendment?" Maxime asked. Ethan shook his head.

"A speech. We can't muster up the manpower to meet the requirements, so I'll have to explain why. I'm also going to offer military bases for NKP nations, and discuss training arrangements."

"Sounds good, I'll write an amendment for that as well." Maxime put pen to paper and began to write. He was soon interrupted by the sound of a gavel being banged, as the Chairman of Jazado called the chamber to order.

"The floor is once again open for any delegations wishing to speak. Are there any in the house at this time?" The Chairman asked. Ethan raised his placard. "The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of Candanadium has the floor." Ethan approached the podium and addressed the chamber.

"Mr. Speaker, we, the Kingdom of Candanadium would like to regretfully inform the house that we are unable to provide one Jazadoan Division's worth of men. We are not a large nation, and every man is needed for the defence of Candanadium. However, we will be able to provide one battalion, the 31st Raiders Battalion of the 1st Marine Division, one of our most elite fighting forces. We are also open to hosting joint exercises in the Arctic Circle, and we will be accepting military bases on Candanadian soil, provided that upkeep and construction is paid for by the foreign nation. The Right Honourable Chancellor is drafting an amendment in order to address this, and I hope the House will agree with our proposals. Thank you." Ethan went back to his seat as Maxime finished writing the amendment.

Guantanamo City, Special Administrative Region of Guantanamo, Candanadium

"Señor Premier, a letter from Chang'an bearing the royal seal." A secretary came in and left a blue envelope on the table. Carlos Fernandez-Garcia was the newly elected Premier of the Territory of Guantanamo, the newest addition to the Kingdom of Candanadium. Before that, Guantanamo was under the administration of Greater Canada. The official explanation was that Guantanamo was a gift to Candanadium in return for the northeastern slice of Greenland being given to Greater Canada. The turnover had been chaotic, with people taking to the streets in protest. The government in New Konigstadt had finally responded, and Carlos ripped the letter open.

To the Honourable Premier of the Special Administrative Region of Guantanamo, Carlos Fernandez-Garcia,

The House of Commons has recently passed Bill I-131, creating the Special Administrative Region of Guantanamo. From this day until the end of days, Guantanamo shall be an autonomous region within Candanadium, free to hold its own elections and pass its own laws. SAR Guantanamo does not have the obligation to follow every bill passed by the Parliament of Candanadium, however, the Guantanamoan National Assembly can decide via majority vote whether to adhere to a new Candanadian bill or not. SAR Guantanamo will have the freedom to choose its own flag, official languages, currency, government structure, and constitution. Candanadium shall be solely responsible for the defence and foreign relations of Guantanamo, and will not intervene unless requested. New passport designs have been included with this letter, and it is our hope that you will put them to good use.

Best regards,
His Majesty, Richard of House Magnar, First of His Name, King of Candanadium, Defender of the Dominion, and Shield of the True North.

Carlos took out the passport included in the envelope. The text was printed in three languages, English, German, and Spanish. The photo page was blank. Carlos took a sticky note and wrote: Blank passport design, send to passport authority. He stuck the note on the front and put it in his desk drawer. Finally, we can rule ourselves again, he thought, content.

Ellesmere Island, Northern Isles, Candanadium

The wind whistled past the frozen tundra, blowing up waves of fresh white powder. Liam grabbed his goggles from his helmet and slammed them down to his face, and pulled his ski mask up tighter. This was Liam's first ranging, out on patrol in the Candanadian High Arctic. His squadron consisted of fifteen men, eight recruits and seven seasoned Marines.

"Enjoying the hike, Spiegelmann?" One of the Marines asked him. "When you get this far up north, IMPs seem like a blessing." The Marines laughed, and Liam cursed to himself. IMPs, or Individual Meal Plans, were the field rations of the Candanadium Defence Forces. Though the food wasn't bad, the recruits got last pick for IMPs, which meant that Liam was stuck with eating vegetable omelets. They were three days out from Polaris, on a seven-day ranging mission. All Marine recruits had to spent twenty-one days on rangings before being allowed to partake in the Crucible, a forced 60-km march over the course of three days. The Crucible was the final test for the Royal Candanadian Marines, and after completing the Crucible, they would receive their maple leaf, globe, and anchor pins, their Candanadium Defence Forces ribbons, and the title of Marine.

"Sure am, Master Corporal." Their commanding officer was Master Corporal Max Rosenbaum, whose older brother was serving aboard the RCNS Aurora Borealis as second-in-command. Master Corporal Rosenbaum was in his final year in the forces, having spent two years deployed aboard CDFS Alert.

"Back in Alert, this would be a warm summer breeze." Master Corporal Rosenbaum chuckled again, and they kept trudging forward. Liam's C7A2 rifle was slung over his chest, fully loaded, though with no round in the chamber. He had a couple magazines of non-lethal rubber ammunition, and he had to be ready to switch at moment's notice.

"Up here, we're the police force. Don't wanna be breaking up riots with some 62-grain M855 5.56x45, do ya?" was Master Corporal Rosenbaum's response to Liam's question as to why they carried rubber ammunition. Liam had seen no people for the duration of their ranging, though, even after the Master Corporal reassuring him that they were bound to come across some people eventually. The Master Corporal ripped open his watch cover and glanced at his watch, then closed it again.

"It's getting late, we'll set up camp here tonight." In the winter months, it was virtually impossible to tell night from day in the High Arctic. The sun only set for a couple hours each day, which was enough to drive even the most seasoned rangers mad. Liam took off his ruck, and threw it on the ground. He unstrapped his sleeping bag from the top, and began unrolling it while two other recruits began to set up the tent. One of the recruits suddenly approached the Master Corporal with a map.

"If my calculations are correct, we're less than a kilometre away from Eureka County, Master Corporal. I'm sure the guys would appreciate some company." The Master Corporal looked over the map, and nodded.

"Alright. Squadron, we're moving. Who's ready to get some warm food tonight?"

"Oorah, Master Corporal!" Liam shouted.

"That's the spirit, Spiegelmann. Let's move!"

IANS London, 200 km from New Osaka, Pacific Ocean, 23rd January 2019

"All pilots go to the briefing room. Repeat: All pilots go to the briefing room." Was the message that was repeated all over the ship. The pilots, dressed in their equipment, gathered in the briefing room, where the captain of the carrier stood besides a projector screen. Everyone gathered in the room, and a silence settled as soon as the chief of the "New Osaka Experimental Air Force Squadron" came into the room.

"You all know why you are here, right?" He asked. The pilots stood up and saluted him, before sitting back down. "Good. We will begin our presentation. The F/A-181 Black Wasp is an experimental stealth fighter of the Imperial Navy, built in partnership with the New Osaka Heavy Industries. You may know them, their logo is on almost every ship of this fleet. Including those destroyers which are roaming about. They have tasked you with testing these planes, the reason we are so far away from any mainland. On the island nearby there is an airstrip used in the past by the Imperial Air Forces.

Now, let's begin talking about the stars of the show, shall we? The F/A-181 Black Wasp is based on an Candanadian stealth fighter of the 90s, which crashed near Hokkaido. The date, and even name of the plane are classified, but it formed the basis for all of our modern stealth and jet fighters. The wreckage was picked up by a garrison of the Imperial Army located nearby, and sent to New Osaka for analysis. Thus we created our first modern models of fighters. All that leads to today, when we try to test this undetectable-on-radar plane, maybe the first of it's kind. While we cannot make it truly invisible, we're getting there." He said as he chuckled, followed by the pilots. "So, one of you is going to take off with one of these from that island airstrip, fly a few rounds over the island to get the feel of it, then land back here, on the carrier. The selection will be made at random. We got enough planes to spare."

For the purpose of this story, we will call the selected pilot "Shio".

"Hey, Shio, don't crash into the sea, will ya?" Laughed one of the other pilots as he got into the fighter. He put his helmet on and turned on the plane's engines. "Ready for take off." He said as the plane began moving, quickly gaining speed on the runway, and soon he was flying over the carrier.

"How's the view from up there mate?" He heard over the radio.

"Pretty nice. I can see the island and the destroyers patrolling." He replied.

"Ahem." Began the Captain. "How does the plane handle?"

"Smooth as silk, sir."

"Copy that, fly a few more rounds over the island."

The fighter began going faster and faster, as it began circling the island, followed by a quick dive towards the island, then a slow flight over it. Shio was getting ready to land the plane on the aircraft carrier, when he noticed he was about to crash into it, and quickly turned his plane, barely missing the ship.

"You okay up there?" He was asked through the radio.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just that this plane is too fast for me to land."

After a few more unsuccessful attempts at landing on the carrier, Shio decided to just land on the airstrip on the island, slowly descending and landing safely. When he got out, the captain, a pilot, his friend, and the supervisor came to him:

"What happened, why couldn't you land?"

"I don't know, sir. It was too fast, and I couldn't properly position it for a landing. But regarding the handling, it may handle a bit too well."

"Great news. We'll send these results to New Osaka, but we'll remain here in case they need us to do a few more experiments." Replied the supervisor.

"Understood, sir."

(OOC: Sorry for this, obviously New Karelogrd has not been put into his place yet and we are still trying to figure out the region. There is a great suspicion that the new map mister was appointed by NK so that he may seize power away from the regional government. Please do not mind anything posted by NK and continue with the RP as usual.)

Outskirts of Hobart, Tasmania, 23:43, 3rd January 2019 CE/2679 IY

"So this is where the princess is huh? The city does look good, but it's pretty damn big, and we're supposed to find a little girl in here?" Asked N-2.

"We will not be alone, we'll have the help of the Imperial Army, and the government hasn't reached this place yet, it still is under monarchist control, so this should make her extraction easier." Replied N-3.

"Plus, the Candanadians help us too, and the Yamato is docked in the harbor." Added N-4.

"Speaking of the Yamato, did any of you hear what the people think about it?"

"No, what do they say? I think they are either impressed, or scared, or both."

"They think the Empire will help them win the civil war, especially when the Focusists' Navy is in shambles. As much as I would like to he-" his sentence was interrupted by the radio:

"Will you three ever shut up? I found the location of the princess, prepare to move out. N-1 out!"

"You heard the man, let's go!"

Hobart, Tasmania, 23:54

N-1 looked at his wrist watch before seeing his three subordinates arrive. They were in front of a newly-built apartment building for the crew of the Tasmanian Fleet, or rather the Tasmanian Fleet of the Grand Navy.

Amurrian Embassy, United Provinces of Akarea, 11:42, 21st December 2018

"The Akarean cities sure are nice, eh?"

"Yeah, if you can count them as cities. I for one count them as massive conglomerations of meat cages, the capital at least."

"And why is that?"

"I have a friend who is representing his company in the capital and he told me that the houses are so small that you can hardly breathe inside."

"Maybe he was in the lower class housing?"

"No, he was in the top, his apartment was seen as a luxury."

"Well, it is to be expected, Akarea's capital has almost the entire population of Amurria proper. And most of the population is centered in the capital. Why do you think we opened the embassy here in Jingnu."

"Yea-"

Someone shouted at the two:

"You two, quit slacking off and come here! We got news from Edo!"
