Prussian Draft Law Changed

      Prussian Draft Law Changed
      Image

While New Prussia has always had its conscription as a law adapted from original Republic of Prussia, things have changed since gaining independence. Such as woman being given the right to vote as well as a number of other things to update its laws with that of a modern state as it has fallen behind when under Mishopechian occupation. However, whether to change conscription law was touchy subject going back and forth for decades on whether to expand it from being a selective draft where only adult men were drafted to a egalitarian draft where both adult men and adult women are able to be drafted. However, do to a combination of a number of different groups ranging from both the left wing and the right wing of Prussian Politics argued in favor of egalitarian draft while others on both the left and right wing argued against it in Parliament, the President decided to weigh in on the matter:
While I had hoped to not have to address this issue one way or another this impasse will heavily affect our military and our ability to get justice for the evils the Mishopechian Government had inflicted on us. As such we need a strong military, now I will be frank if we wish to be a modern nation like we had when we gave woman the right to vote we need to also give them the same responsibility that comes with it the duty to serve. If we wish to be an egalitarian society where all Prussians are treated equally they must have both the same rights and duties period.
Shortly, after that speech some members of Parliament who were against it have flipped in support of making the draft egalitarian leading to the law being changed.

Open Letter to President Nicolás Gaona of Alicia

Mr. President,

I write this letter considering the good terms of which our two nations enjoy. The Republic of Santa Rosa and the United Districts of Alicia have experienced a healthy growth in cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties throughout the 20th century. Our two nations have a distant shared history, and we share the same religion and the same language.

Santa Rosa shares an experience of independence from your nation with many other nations on the American continents. It's no secret that many bloody battles were fought so that the peoples of Barnetia, Toluca, Santa Rosa, and other Latin American countries could determine their own destiny. I think I would be right in assuming that Alicia has no desire to re-establish empire and control any of the aforementioned countries, their people, their resources, or their right to rule in their own homelands.

This brings us to the current state of affairs. At this moment, Alicia controls the Cordoba Islands in the Caribbean Sea and the islands of Sinhala in the Indian Ocean. Not only is this occupation a vestige of the empires of the turn of the century, but it represents your nation's domination of a foreign people who have no desire to be ruled from afar.

Our national hero, Juan David Beldad was once quoted as saying, "A people that loves freedom will in the end be free." The people of Cordoba and Sinhala have the right to determine their own destiny in the form of free, democratic, republican government, independent from European control across the ocean. Mr. President, I appeal to you to present the international community with a timetable that will lay out your government's plan to grant independence to these nations.

I look forward to possibly meeting you to discuss this matter further. You are welcomed in Santa Rosa if that need be. As a faithful Christian yourself, I wish you well on this Feast Day of Saint Alexander of Jerusalem, a man who was persecuted and tortured by an empire foreign to his land.

Office of the President of Alicia and its territories

March 18th, 1991
Response Letter to President Tito Pérez of Santa Rosa

Mr.President,

Thank you for your concern in regards to Alician citizens. We share the belief that these people have the right to determine their own destiny when it comes to life and liberty, which they all have the right to do. The bloody battles that once wreaked havoc across the Americas are in our past and should be in yours too, taking it we are not leaders of our previous generations.

I do not know how much knowledge you have of Alician politics or foreign policy but both Cordoba and Sinhala show no interest in leaving our union. In fact, The District of Sinhala is our 8th district and benefits from all the aspects of being so. They elect their own Governor, district officials, representatives, and senators. With Sinhala being an official District of Alicia we do not see why such a claim should be brought forth by a foreign, independent, nation. Sinhala was an independent nation at one time but due to pressure to join the Indian Emirates had a choice to make. Join Alicia or lose countless lives trying to keep their independence from such a powerful nation. In the end, they chose to protect the lives of the countless men and women who love Sinhala and call it home. Since that day Sinhala has made great strides in its own economy and benefited from being a District and federal funding from Alicia. Many Alician citizens have been born and raised there since then.

Cordoba is a territory of Alicia and as you know has been for quite some time. The people of Cordoba were born Alician citizens and will remain Alician citizens. I recently appointed a new Governor for the Islands, Admiral Ricardo Espina, but he will be the last appointed Governor ever for the islands. Cordoba does not elect any senators to our government but they do elect 2 representatives to represent them here in the mainland. The most well known and very popular one is Congresswoman Andrea Tejedor, She has represented Cordoba for the past 10 years and she fights constantly for the Alician citizens that reside there. Recently she proposed a bill that would allow Cordoba to elect who ever it sees fit to lead the Islands instead of the President appointing one, it passed both houses and the next election will be decided by the Alician citizens of Cordoba and not myself. Tejedor has already proposed Cordoba become the 9th district of our union, but sadly it did fail in our Senate. Tejedor has made it her mission to make Cordoba the next District and your letter has opened my eyes as well. I'll be throwing my support behind her and we shall soon see a more unified Union.

We take the protection of our Citizens very seriously and that is why an Alician naval base is located in Cordoba. Cordoba receives benefits for being a territory but shall soon reap the benefits of being an official District.

Thank you for the concern for our citizens well being and you are welcome in Alicia whenever you see fit. I look forward to improving the relations between our great nations and to having a christian friend across the sea. May Alicia soon be a more Unified Union.

      Santangel Posits American Economic Union
Typically, American, both Northern and Southern, economies are overshadowed by the much larger and more stable economies of Europe and Asia. Santangel, current president of Toluca, aims to change that, and bring the American continent as a whole, forward economically.

Secretary of Commerce and Finance, Araceli Lain, has reported meeting with Santangel almost daily to work out the logistics of such a Union. Among Lain, Santangel has also met with many economic experts, from academic professors to Asian economic consultants. Santangel reports that:
... not only is a proposed American economic union possible, plausible and realistic, it's down right beneficial for almost every nation in the Americas, should they choose to participate. And no, the more developed economies won't be funding the whole ordeal, every country is expected to pull their weight for this experiment to work. I implore every nation in the Americas, North, South, Central, wherever, to reach out so this Union can begin formal creation.

Such a union would be a big win for Santangel and the GLN, proving they are capable of real change in Toluca.

New Deal

Postby Landersvich » Thu Jan 24, 2019 10:13 pm

Igbo Oil Boom

Handel, Lutz & Roechmeyer and Gaulbert Erbauer have announced that they will be entering New Prussia. HLR, the multinational MegaBank will be offering the Prussian state financial services, investments, and government loans to help the nation develop its industry, infrastructure, and government agencies. The construction company will be at the use of the government of New Prussia - conducting any civil or private construction projects.

Handel, Lutz & Roechmeyer have conducted a serious deal in the Igbo Republic last night. The deal was made to President Harris, the leader of the African nation. HLR offered the president a 5 million dollar loan to build oil fields throughout the country. The loan is reportedly a 60-year loan at 4% interest which will net the company almost 55 million; the deal also included that Landersvich will be receiving 5% of the oil extracted from the new wells!

A local man took a photograph of Herr Lutz, a partner at HLR, driving a Rolls Royce to the Igbo palace. President Harris was reported to have opened the palace door in excitement and with handfuls of cash

Response to President Nicolás Gaona of Alicia

Mr. President,

Thank you quick response to the letter I wrote you earlier today. Your reply to my open letter seemed to address some of the concerns that I had expressed, but I cannot say that I find what you told me was very satisfactory.

In my first letter, I expressed the desire of free peoples to have their own free countries and to determine their own destinies, which you seemed to acknowledge. Nonetheless, you talked about how Sinhala became a district of Alicia and how this is desirable. You said that Sinhala became a part of Alicia to avoid becoming part of the United Indian Emirates, but I am skeptical about the process which this came to be.

I very much doubt that the people of Sinhala, who have a historical, ethnic, linguistic, and cultural relationship with the Indian subcontinent, would prefer to be annexed into a distant nation's empire rather than their own brotherly neighbors. Your language, religion, and culture is very foreign to the people of Sinhala; exponentially more so than that of the United Indian Emirates.

I can only conclude that Sinhala submitted their sovereignty to Alicia under duress, being threatened by invasion by both the Indians and the Alicians. Maybe this was their choice at the time, but in the modern day, many decades later, it's safe to say that the threat of annexation is no more with the Security Council able to defend the country's independence at a minute's notice. It's time that the Sinhalese people had their own say in their country's fate and didn't owe fealty to a country they have no connection to.

Considering this and the situation with Sinhala: this situation not but a slight upgrade of what the colonial nations faced during their imperial role? Perhaps Barnetia, Toluca, Santa Rosa, etc. had some sway in the selection of their leadership, and perhaps they received defense and funds from the continent, but this does not mean that they are free. Sinhala and the Cordoba Islands have the right to determine their own destiny. You cannot buy their freedom from them.

Mr. President, once again I implore you to lay out a plan for the independence of these two island countries. The international community will await your response.

Office of the President of Alicia and Its Territories

March 19th, 1991
Response Letter to President Tito Pérez of Santa Rosa

Mr President,

I again thank you for your concern in regards to the Alician citizens of both Sinhala and Cordoba. You seem very passionate about the independence you long for and i admire that but the claims you are making simply do not have the support. Sinhala and Cordoba elect their own representatives who spend the majority of their valuable time in Madrid representing these culturally diverse places who all hold the right of Alician citizenship. If either the District of Sinhala or Cordoba longed for Independence and lose the protection, rights, funding, and freedom granted by the Alician Government I would be the first to know and would assist the situation as my colleagues and myself see fit.

If your claims were correct and you truly have faith in them I assume you have been in contact with the countless other nations who govern and protect lands separate of their homelands. For example, our economic ally Britannia protects and governs New Yorkshire, The Texan Confederacy governs Bermuda in the Atlantic, and The Pacific States govern Hawaii, a state that was independent for hundreds of years. I'm sure any of the aforementioned nations would be glad to explain the significance these Districts, States, and Territories mean to our countries economically and most importantly culturally.

If you would like to discuss the matter any farther on the your push for independence on land nations around the globe govern i would be more than happy to sit down and meet with you here in Madrid. I have spoke to Congresswoman Tejedor of Cordoba, Governor Espina of Cordoba, and Governor Juan Pablo Cooray of Sinhala and they all would also be happy to meet with you in their capitals. I look forward to hearing back from you. May we soon see a more Unified Union. Thank you for your persistent concerns towards Alician citizens and may god bless yourself and Santa Rosa.

The Army
250.000 AK74-s delivered and distributed
The Carpathian army has finally received the new equipment. The weapons of the army were too old and malfunctioning too often. Now, one of the first steps in the modernisation of the army is complete.
Image
Better soldiers
The new method of training the soldiers is not fully implemented yet but it's effectiveness has been proved since it's introduction. The soldiers that took part in the training are performing much better than their colleagues who did not.

Culinary overload
The last cultural event hosted at the embassy of Pavlovsk in Sofia has attracted more people than usual. We are not sure of the cause, but it is clear that everyone had fun learning about the culture of Pavlovsk and tasting their cuisine. People participating at the event called for even closer cooperation with Pavlovsk, because "they fry a good meat".

Events from Kakanj
The third plebiscite was hosted in both Vojvodina by the Hungarian majority and in parts of Kakanj with Carpathian majority. The results are as following:
-Vojvodina: 78% for union with Balaton, 22% remainers. 70% of the population took part in the plebiscite.
-East and South Kakanj: 86% for union with Carpathia, 10% remainers, 4% for independence (we were surprised about this one. Independence? Why?) 87% of the population took part in the plebiscite.
Kakanj has refused to accept this third, free, democratic referendum, therefore it is denying the basic human rights of the people involved. Carpathia will now cooperate with the Kingdom of Balaton to achieve the common goal of freeing the Carpathian and Hungarian people of Kakanj

      Revolution!

The president had barely gotten adjusted to office and already he has his first major problem to deal with. Namely, an attempted coup. In the early morning socialist forces conducted hit-and-run attacks upon various army bases. Quickly the presidential guard was moved in to contain the threat, however the disgruntled army officials showed their support for the rebellious cause by going on strike. With the socialist being their attackers, the soldiers aligned themselves with the United Brands™ Company, marching on the capital. Certain United Brands™-affiliated government employees have attempted to seize the treasury, and the walls seem to be closing in on all sides thanks to socialist militias and Banana-producing peasant levies.

    Oil Boom Imminent & More
    Image
One of many Japanese oil sites

With the recent deal the government made with Japan slowly taking place, the future has never seemed so bright for Yahel. Many citizens living in rural areas have begun flocking the major cities to seek jobs, and immigration has seen a small spike which is expected to grow in the future. Construction crews have begun being hired by the Government in order to improve infrastructure around major cities to brace for the influx of activity, and state-owned assets are even coming into play to assist in the effort. Life for the every day Yahelian has hit an all-time high and is only expected to get better from here on out. In other news, with Paul Benis's death confirmed by the state, all of his assets have been passed onto his heir, Raul Jeenis. Whilst looting the several copies of GF3D from his corpse, the Yahelian navy took a small detour to refuel in Barnetia. During this trip, one of the copies of GF3D went missing. It is suspected that it ended up somewhere in Honduras, but the navy couldn't be bothered to actually look for it. With Raul Jeenis's new found fortune in hand, he has decided to begin a new Yahelian clothing line aimed at the international market. He has teamed up with Shrout Military Systems in order to incorporate military grade bullet proofing in certain items for true authenticity.

Office of Her Majesty Queen Mary Caverly of Alicia and her Territories

March 28th, 1991
Confidential letter to President Charles Davout of Occitania

Mr President,

I write to you today with great grief and pain in my heart. Our two nations border each other and as we both know have not had the greatest relations but i hope you can lay down the differences we have experienced. The public here have speculated, for many weeks now, that my mother is ill but they do not know the extent of her failing health. My mother has lung cancer and it is tremendously advanced. My mother was born and raised in Occitania and her loyalty to your nation stays strong. Our doctors aren't sure when she may take her last breath but they estimate it to be between the next week to month. Although she is still being treated and we pray her health turns around for the better my family is preparing for the worst. Her last wish is to be buried back in her hometown in Occitania. I truly hope you will allow this to happen. I wanted to be sure to let you know, above anyone else, before we entered your beautiful nation once again. Thank you.

Her Majesty, Mary Caverly
Queen of Alicia and her territories

      Education for the 21st Century
The world is changing, fast, and with that brings new techological innovations to create a better and brighter world. As such, it makes sense that education of yesterday will not work for the world of tomorrow.

Introducing Secretary of Education, Álvaro Pozo. Pozo believes that the world of the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s will look very different from the current era, and wants Toluca to be apart of that.

With approval from the federal government, we're preparing to role out what we call the Millennium Education Act, an act to take Toluca's education into the next century, equipping Tolucan kids with the skills they'll need to be valuable in the labour market. The act will also aim to create more and better schools, to ensure that everyone in Toluca gets a quality education. While expensive, the English language and technology parts of the curriculum will be expanded greatly. This will undoubtedly help Tolucans be a commodity in the international labour market.

Pozo has said that the federal government also plans to expand the education budget, making all of this possible.

Violent Clashes Erupt before Football Game. Match Postponed.

As fans began to enter the Bahtoo Stadium their excitement about the upcoming match was interrupted by the sounds of police sirens and violence. Both sides were excited about the upcoming Yadanarbon FC vs Rakhine United match which could have a massive impact on the league with the teams being third and first respectively. While the season has only started a few weeks ago, both teams were excited for a chance at closing the gap between their team and the Arakan League Title. Despite all the excitement however,it was clear from the onset that this would be a match full of tension, as Yadanarbon FC are the third Bamar team allowed into the league. The allowence of the Mandalay based club into the league was contested by Rakhine FC who refused to allow a third bamar team into the league. It comes as no surprise that the local government decided to send some extra security that match day.
Image

That morning a group of Rakihne United supporters were marching in the streets directly outside the stadium chanting and supporting their club. The group encountered a few Yadanarbon FC supporters walking around the stadium. Soon tensions built up and racial slurs were being thrown by both sides. Eventually a fight broke out. This was just one of many such eruptions of violence that were prevalent before the game. In the end, the area became too dangerous for the Yadanarbon players, and so the match has been postponed indefinitely until a solution can be found. Arakan FA President, Nyan Kham, has yet to make a public statement on the situation.

April 2, 1991, 20 years after the Monarchist coup

Today is a special day in the Algeris calender as its the day when Facism in the country had fallen and the 3rd Kingdom of Algeris was established.

People in the Morning and mid day listen to the Kings speech and mourn the people who died on that day by night people are partying, getting drunk and celaborating the fall of Facism.

The Celabrations go on through out the night and into the Moring before either dying out or the Police telling them to go home.

The King and the Government also take this time to begin planning economic and industrial plans for the nation. The Kingdom of Algeris is curently going through an economi recovery after some of the Kings reforms but it is a slow growth, the Kingdom itself stretches from the Moroccan coast to the Borders of Eygpt and is a rival of communist Eygpt.
(My first post just to introduce you to the country)

MINISTRY OF DEFENCE MEETING
4/5/1991

-TOP SECRET-

Operation 'Palačinka Crust' has just begun. The plan is to arm the Carpathian and Hungarian freedom fighters, in a rather simple manner. As we already know, the administration of cities and some more important villages can pass freely through the border. We will use this to our advantage. All Carpathian and Hungarian towns and villages will host a large number of cultural festivals in the area, in order to "ease the tension" between our nations. But this is not the real purpose. The trucks delivering supplies will also be used to smuggle weapons to certain distribution points, from where Pro-Carpathians and Pro-Balaton citizens will be able to acquire weapons. These local administrations already know most of the people who would oppose our plan. Until the arming of our freedom fighters is complete, we will attempt to arrest these dangerous individuals, for various legal reasons.

The weapons used will be up to 25.000 of our new AK-74s, and the rest will be AK-47s or other older equipment (which works). In total we will require 63.000 weapons, one for every willing fighter.
The hungarian side will provide about 22.000 weapons, for the hungarian fighters.

In about 2 months, we will be ready to begin the attack. Carpathian and Hungarian citizens will be called to a local administrative building for "document checking". Here they will receive the weapons. Afterwards, they will unite in order to strike at Belgrade and capture the Kakanj capital. Of course, there are many steps in this process but it will do for now.

    Confidential: Operation Sparta Update

AREI agents in the Operation Sparta operation are reporting a series of great success. Our main target, the wide and expansive "Las Griegas" cartel has been infiltrated, and one of our agents has become one of their Halcones. While this is a low rank, it is an entrance into greater intelligence,

Aside from this, AREI agents have been looking into Tolucan cartel related crime in other countries. Several cartels are linked to high-profile operations in Barnetia and more southern countries. Plans are being made to go undercover in these nations to tackle these leads.

1991 marks a trend of more arrests and seized drugs. This is in part to our greater policing efforts, albeit expensive. Toluca will not have a cartel problem by the new millennium.

      Restoring Shariah to Laoshu

      April 8th, 1991

We can no longer, as honest children of god, allow our neighbors to act in such savage and unpure manners. Tainted by socialism, hinduism, and buddhism, the people of Laoshu have dug themselves into a hole that they cannot crawl out of. In Laoshu a man may lay with another with no care in the world. A woman may show her skin for all to see. Men can poison themselves with swill. Young women are no longer taught the essential duties that our sisters must perform, as stated in the Hadith. We will cut down the kafirs that lead this cesspool with the sword of allah and restore purity to the steppe. I call on my muslim brothers and sisters to strike down these degenerate elites and return the innocent citizens of Laoshu to their islamic roots.

Terrorist Car Bombing kills four MNAs
Government promises immediate backlash

Tragedy struck Lasir today as four Members of the National Assembly (MNA) were killed by a car bombing in Bangkok. Dozens of staffers and lower ranking bureaucrats were also injured or killed by the bombing. The radical right-wing group United Nationalist Front took responsibility shortly after the bombing, with a televised broadcast from an unknown location. In it, they declared that a new revolution was occurring and that the "weak, fragile, and corrupt socialist sham will fall." Premier Rochefort called for an emergency press meeting thirty minutes after the bombing, and had this to say:
What we've witnessed today is a tragedy that no one should've had to endure. Hate is a powerful thing, it warps the mind of those who were once good and leaves them down a path of violence. What happened today, mark my words, shall never happen again in Lasir as long as I hold the title of Premier. The sick animals who declared war on our great nation today have bitten off more then they can chew, and they will soon realize that they are the prey here. As of today, the United Nationalist Front is a terrorist organization and the enemy of the Lasirian state. The National Police Force of Lasir will be using its full force to initiate raids against the UNF in order to discover its bases of operation, so we can nip this problem in the bud. I know you all are scared, are frightened, and disappointing in the government's inability to protect even itself. But I will show you that when the tiger is poked, fury is unleashed. The government will be investigating other far-right fringe groups in order to discover any possible connections the UNF may have. I promise you, the good people of Lasir, that by the end of my term, this menace will be obliterated from our world.

The Premier was severely troubled by the occurance and couldn't help but cry towards the end of the speech. He offered his condolences to the MNAs' families, and offered them financial aid to help in their time of need. The NPFL has already mobilized and has begun raids on several UNF locations in order to find any leads.

Miller Admin Pressures the GLC to Sanction Antes

      April 8th, 1990

      Image

The Miller Administration has stepped up its "anti-communist" efforts recently by publicly demanding that the Great Lakes Commonwealth join it in its efforts to damage the Antes state until its "defunct, oligarchical socialist regime" steps down and allows for legitimate elections. Miller stated that he believed that the leadership of the GLC is not "cowardly" and will take the "steps needed to remove this red stain from the continent."

Miller has once again opted against including Gettysburg in any of his rhetoric, earning him extensive criticism by the media and his followers. A rumor that he's a Gettysburg plant sent to weaken Antes has begun to spread. The State Department dismissed the claim as a "far fetched fantasy."

Payala recognized as autonomous state.
Will remain protectorate of Lasir
The State Committee has released today a statement recognizing the former region Payala, hereby known as the Payalan Republic, as an autonomous region with limited sovereignty. The Payalan Republic will remain separate from Lasir legally, but is still a protectorate of the nation and is effectively a glorified puppet. The current governor, General Devereaux, had installed a military dictatorship in the province not long ago, and is now the President of the Republic. He wields complete and total control over the state, and while Lasir is officially diplomatically against dictatorships, they have turned a blind eye to the nation of Payala. Premier Rochefort has encouraged other world powers to recognize the nation, and hopes to maintain strong economic and diplomatic relations with Payala. He plans to make a visit to Port Blaire later this week to meet with the President and discuss possible financial endeavors.

    Gettysburg Ship Mistakenly Sunk

Earlier today at roughly 10:32 AM anti-ship guided missiles under the command of the Texan Coast Guard struck and sunk a Gettysburg cruise, ship on the Potomac River near the opening into the Chesapeake Bay. The ship was carrying 450 passengers, 127 of which died and 204 were wounded. The commanding officer of the artillery battery, Lieutenant Commander William Shaw claimed the ship had entered the Texan side of the waterway. Shaw claimed his men used loudspeakers to warn the ship to turn back, which they did not do. The battery then open fired on the cruise ship, firing 8 missiles while only 4 hit the ship. The engagement caused Gettysburg forces to respond but resulted in a 4 hour stand off as civilians were rescued and evacuated. The stand off was eventually resolved after a meeting between area commanders of both sides agreed to pull back.

Gorbachad discusses tensions in N. America on Vzglyad
      Image

During an interview on an episode of the interview show "Vzglyad," General-Secretary Gorbachad was asked by interviewer Andrei Grigorev about his thoughts on tensions in North America, particularly between the Antes Republic and Ohio. Gorbachad responded:

The Antes Republic has long stood as a close partner of the Pavlovski people, and I do not expect that to change any time in the future. However, I have great respect for President Miller in Ohio, and I understand that the controversy surrounding the previous elections have created a great deal of hysteria within his nation. His foreign policy moves are to protect his own people. However, I would urge Mr. Miller to work towards more bilateral solutions, no matter how tempting protectionism may be.

I will not deny that I may be a dreamer, but I would be ecstatic to meet with leadership from the various North American countries who have seen a rise in tension and brinkmanship in recent years. A summit of sorts-- to discuss how tensions may be lowered, to work towards a return to cordial diplomacy in the region, and-- to imagine an ideal scenario-- cooperation within the region.

The State Department has informed the Lezgi Gazet that the General-Secretary's comments on the show are not an official foreign policy stance by the State Department of Pavlovsk.

Suspicious Plane Part Found On Florida Coast
A group of beach goers located a mangled piece of what looked to be a commercial airliner wing just south of the city of Jacksonville, Florida. Thinking this to be suspicious, the group reported the finding to the local police department. Upon further examination, police found that the wing section bore the logo of the Avianca Airlines company. Authorities believe this is the first clue in a year on what happened to Avianca flight BN47. Flight BN47 disappeared a year ago, with the only clue being a video shot by a bystander that showed the plane being chased by a military style aircraft. As of now, this is piece of metal is the only known physical piece of the puzzle.

      Pacific Indrustialization Initiative. What's that?

      April 9th, 1991
The Pacifican Parliament has passed a bill for a new government program called the Pacific Industrialization Initiative, which is pretty strong because it was voted for by all members of the congress except 7. The plan is a set of policies made to fasten the Pacifican industrial growth. The plans include tax cut for new industries, subsidizing potential industry, opening entrepreunurship schools and vocational schools, and the plan is growing everyday. This seems like a good start of Pacifican industry growth, aren't it? (JSP)
      Democracy Time!

The election is 5 months away. WHAT ARE OUR CANDIDATES ACTUALLY DOING? Well. Anders Marshall, our blue candidate went to Hawaii and go fishing. Wait, what? Fishing? Yes! He was fishing with local fisherman, saying that Hawaii has quite a potencial on fisheries, especially on Crustaceans. Meanwhile, our red guy, Harry Robinson went to the Silicon Valley. Exciting, isn't it? He was visiting a new company that's working to create a shop on the internet. Robinson said the idea is interesting and he will be pushing for technology advancement and will take care of technological companies in Pacific. (RBY)

Militia protests in Songjiang pose challenge for Huang Xiaoming

      April 12, 1991

      Image

Some 3 million former Militia men have gathered all over the nation demanding that the government increase military spending to counter the Islamic threat to the east and to ward off dangers presented by Japan.

Chairman Huang Xiaoming has been reluctant to increase military spending despite the increase in the nations overall wealth not wishing to create a regional panic.

He has stated that while the Ministry has no current plans to increase military spending if they decide to do so it will be a comparably small increase compared to say japans recent budget increase.

These protests have proven a challenge for the Chairman do to his primary political backers being the military, and his public image being that of the brave general that led the revolution to victory.
