Governor Williams' first campaign stunt would be the lynching of a convicted black murderer, and pardoning everyone for it.

Kramer seems to be a gentleman, still using honorifics such as Ma’am even while in a flame war with an opposite-spectrum opponent. Old World charm, I suppose.

I'm going home on Saturday and I'll be on GMT, so maybe we should hold the debate before then?

I will attempt to move through the McCroskey and Stafford meetings, as well as put out at least one more Marli rally.

My time in February will be greatly constricted due to various tournaments for debate and college visits.

As a fairly minor housekeeping matter, the status of the Progressives in the upcoming Congressional Baseball Game will have to be decided. I would recommend some sort of brief meeting or simple exchange of emails between some combination of Alphonsey, Allison, De Nieto and Freeman over whether the Progressives will join the Democratic team, sit out, or seek a third option.

Not yet IC, no.

Of course if DJ ran, he would be running against his good friend Taylor Cox on the Republican side.

And DJ would absolutely smash him in the general election.

You know the Progressives would jump on that immediately and attack DJ from the left on guns, and with a split vote between him and Cox, advance to the general.

Which the Progressive would win, seems counterproductive to DJ’s goals.

Senate is a different story: you have a progressive Democrat who would appeal to Progressive and Democratic voters, and if the Progressives run their own candidate, that’s even more of a split vote in the primary, which provides an opening for the self-financing DJ.

Well, whatever Donald does he has the support of the DNC Deputy Chair.

I think DJ has a path to victory. Use the Democratic machines to get through the primary with a Republican, then beat that Republican fairly easily.

I think gun control is a much more salient issue post-Dillon, and DJ sponsoring the American Right to Bear Arms Act does him absolutely no favors.

The Progs will definitely lure away enough progressive Democrats to make it competitive.

When you agree on so much, the differences that remain are that much more significant... why have a so-so Democrat when progressive voters can have a Progressive who most closely represents what they believe?

I really need to have Phonz start to build up the machine in California for 2018.
