It was never meant to be like that. This thread was to hash out differences OOC. The only aspect of R/D was to use it for the peaceful transfer of custody of the Radiant Republic region to the known nation Winterstand controlled by New Bradfordsburg that was already in Radiant Republic. He presented terms and I accepted. I wanted peace for my region as it was in the best interest to stop the OOC conflict. As for regions mentioned that came to Radiant Republic I never asked for them publicly or privately when I discovered the next day they decided to take this in their own hands.

The day that was, October 25, which has already long been a holiday in New Bradfordsburg (as it is the birthday of The Dux's sister) has been a day of transformation in The War of The Radiants, and shall be forever known for the actions that happened on this date in 2017:

Nations of NationStates,

The Radaint is once again strong, robust and remains unwavering in steadfast commitment toward the maintenance of regional security.

October 25, 2017, a day which shall live in our hearts and minds, began with the most sinister of actions, when a puppet of the raiding parties in Fear Johnism tried to coax two of The Radiant's allies; Order of the Southern North and Great Socialist States of Odinovich, out of their friendship with our region.

This puppet, which performed under the name of Drifter, was acting on behalf of raiders and proposed offerings to Order of the Southern North and Great Socialist States of Odinovich that were unacceptable to all parties.

This puppet, on behalf of Fear Johnism, proposed that these targeted regions should withdraw their embassy with The Radaint, and forever swear off relations in any official capacity.

The great nations of Odinburgh and Indo-Malaysia rejected this offer, forever cementing the commitment that these nations share to peace through honor.

As since, Odinburgh has returned to The Radiant.

This nation now serves as our Minister of Security.

Following in his path, from Great Socialist States of Odinovich, are the great WA nations of Krimera and Hadoniacesher, and we are currently in dialogue with both nations about placement in our regional government.

The Radiant's doors remain open to all WA nations from Great Socialist States of Odinovich.

Today, the raiders must read the writing on the wall.

We are stronger. We are united and we are not bowing to aggression. We stand tall against forces who wish to wage war for no other purpose than the sport of it.

We do not negotiate with raiders and the actors from Fear Johnism, and The Eurasian Nomadic States, should hear my words now:

You will never raid The Radiant.

Our region is mighty, and our members are strong. We shall never succumb to your trickery, for we will remain vigilant -- ever with our finger on the pulse.

We will never offer peace, we will only entertain offers of peace.

The army led by SpenZerous should relent their attempted raids, or we will guarantee your destruction through an alliance so broad that your enemies will become innumerable.

The choice is not ours as to whether to wage this war. The language of extermination from Fear Johnism, and Cruchly, has been clear. They want to eliminate Dáxlam from the face of the Earth, and all they've done is strengthen our resolve and unity.

These malicious forces must consider their future. If war against The Radiant is continued, without end, we will win.

Today, we are stronger than we have been in a very, very long time.

And, to the nations who have relocated to The Radiant from Great Socialist States of Odinovich, let me say this: we will not repeat the mistakes of the past!!!

Any shred of The Radiant that I, as founder, took for granted is very long gone. I appreciate all of you.

Dissenting opinions are welcome. We will only act to protect the interests of our region against unknown forces, not established and legitimate nations.

Different political philosophies, faiths, creeds, and personalities are welcome in The Radiant.

We will not change the character of our region as we wage this fight for survival against raiders. We will grant permissions to our officers and we will only close our regional borders near times of WA updates.

The Radiant will remain open for business.

All the while, I expect the nations within The Radiant to decide our future.

The governmental structure of The Radiant, which employs a Council, is now in action. All WA nations are asked to register on The Radiant's regional forums, where we will hold a check-in.

We are back, and we are not going away.

The story of The Radiant will be a special one in the history of NationStates, and I am proud to be a part of it.

We may face struggle again, but it is not without hope...and I ask my fellow patriots in The Radiant to remember that in the darkest hours, light is always near. In the event we experience the continued nuisance of raiders, I ask all members to focus on the future.

Do not employ these raiders with the attention they so crave.

The Radiant has played this entire conflict with the cards face up, and we will continue to do so. Nothing will be hidden.

Nothing will be done without the legitimate backing of our council.

I remind all nations that you hold immense power as a voting nation of the Council, and registering on our forums to vote is imperative to your voice being heard.

The perception by my enemies that I am a dictator has forever been wrong. I have always respected the will of The Dáxlamic Council...which we shall, also effective immediately, rename The Council of The Radiant, to promote secularism and inclusion.

We have always, and will always, respect the will of this council, which requires a quorum of three to operate. We have reached that quorum today.

Any nation in The Radiant on this council can now propose binding legislation for vote.

May the blessings of democracy, and goodwill, rain on The Radiant forever.

History will remember us, and we became one after we struggled...remember that and, if you've gained nothing from reading all of this...just do me this...reach out to an old friend in this game you had. Tell them you got their back.

I'm glad and blessed to have my friends back, and I have their back...that's for sure. I will never again CTE and that is a promise. The Radiant will remain forever strong.

At this time, we also thank the mediation provided from United Empire of Islam, Central Pacific Empire, Cobalt Network and Order of the Southern North.

These regions are forever our friends and I am forever humbled by the consideration, kindness and professionalism of these regions.

It pretty much did happen...in The Radiant. And we're doing very well today. No looking back. 53 nations...largest we've been since Feb. and our entire government has returned. Yet, we continue to protect against raiders...who have gone fairly inactive recently (at least the ones we are worried about). As I said, no looking back.
