Legendary band. Had some good bangers such as Waterfall, Sally Cinnamon, I Wanna Be Adored and I am the Resurrection.

Does Duran Duran’s Ordinary World count? Hungry like the Wolf and Save A Prayer seems more like New Wave in general to me.

I have been listening to the Arctic Monkeys first two albums, and most of The Courteeners library. Excellent Indie tunes that you definitely should listen to.

Favourite Alt-Rock Bands
Pearl Jam.
Stone Temple Pilots.
Radiohead.
Favourite songs from those bands
Pearl Jam: Last Exit/Spin The Black Circle/Why Go/Garden/Once/Animal/Go/Hail, Hail/Alive.
Stone Temple Pilots: Plush/Wicked Garden.
Radiohead: Paranoid Android/Climbing Up The Walls.

As you can see, it's very difficult for me to pick a favourite Pearl Jam song.
Also, I am not saying the other bands are bad, these are just the three I like the most.

I think so. There's like a ten year gap between it and the other two you mention.

I highly recommend Awolnation's newest record. They've abandoned most of the electronic styles from their early years and are now firmly in the alt genre.
The details of the above post are subject to leftist infighting.

I officially endorse Fivey Fox for president of the United States.

I like a significant amount of alternative rock, but I don't know that I have any real favorites. Some examples would be:

Radiohead - Creep, There There.
Oasis - Supersonic, Wonderwall
Coldplay - Speed Of Sound
Pearl Jam - Garden, Nothing As It Seems
Goo Goo Dolls - Name, Black Balloon, Give A Little Bit (cover)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge
Foo Fighters - Big Me
