That is indeed very convincing evidence for the Hindu creation tale :)

It should be Christian, but close enough?

They might have degrees in science, but that doesnt mean any of their 'findings' are scientific.

There's an answer to that. The soft tissue in dinosaur bones remained (and it's been years since I read an article on that, debunking that creationist claim, so correct me anyone if I'm wrong) because some life-forms of some sort lived in there and made their home in it. I believe it's the same kind of forms that are in pond scum (again correct me if I'm wrong people, I really need updating on my info. It's been years since I read that one article haha)

That could be true. I don't know much about science.

Well, know one thing: Science is an unbiased study of the natural world and universe. :)

Science doesnt conform to any religious or political belief or even truth for that matter. Only available evidence, which is called theories.

That's the point.
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease.
It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.

No, it isn't. "Scientist" is a spectacularly broad term. The actual experts on the topic say it's bullshit.

If we argue for creationism (whatever form it is), it is only an opinion, and not evidence based on science. Which opinions aren't scientific either. They might help form theories, but that's it.

Most of the articles on creation.com are not scientific no matter many degrees in a university these self proclaimed scientists get or claim to get.

They're really scientists, and the articles on the website are showing the evidence for creationism.

If it's not a research paper in a respectable peer reviewed journal, it's bullshit. Seriously, this is ViXra-tier junk.

That's actually mostly accurate. If someone doesn't believe in God, it's either because of the church or because they haven't heard of God before. That's why evangelicals (should) have missions.

I went to church for the first 19 years of my life. Decided God didnt exist at 15 but went until I moved out. Wasnt the Churches fault either.

Ugh.... no, it isnt. But creationism is a debate for another thread.

Though admittedly people like Behe and Dembski tried.
They failed miserably, but they tried. They made an actual effort. I can respect that.
I cannot respect that they refuse to admit they were wrong, but hey.

My dad gave my one of Behe's books when he found out I was atheist. I learned a lot about how complex life is and how various processes work. His conclusions sucked tho.

X to doubt.

Naw. As a southerner who grew up in a a church of 200 people and who tried so desperately to feel God's presence and to connect to him that I would go into my closet for an hour to two hours every day and read and study my bible and pray to God for some sort of response and fear, due to my calvinist upbringing, that I was predetermined for hell? Nah. I just need more exposure to the bible or Koran. You know what made me atheist? Exposure to other religions and realizing that I believed that all if them were going to hell and a lot if them believed I was. So I studied and read on most religions active in the world and determined that they're all crap, even christianity.

It annoys the hell out of me (lol) that I've always had people say to read the bible or to listen to this pastor when I know so much about the bible that, as an atheist, I was invited to be a counselor for multiple Christian camps because I can debate theology with the best of them and play Christian really well. Assuming I dont follow whatever religion because of secular society is just... ugh.

Subjective Morality and the reason atheists became atheists are not the same topics......

Allex said that atheists become so because of a secularized society. We wanted numbers to back that claim up.

[1:5] God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
[1:12] The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good.
[1:16] God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars.

No, it's not. I don't know where you got that from, because no scientist believes that night, day, and plants were created before the sun, no scientist believes that the moon is luminescent, and no scientist believes that every star was created simultaneously. If this is supposed to be some metaphor, I'd really like to know what says that it is, because personal interpretation isn't going to cut it. And that still wouldn't explain the order of events.

If creationism is supported by science, why do around 97% of scientists believe in evolution? There is actually a list that was compiled of scientists who have variations of the name Steve that accept evolution that is longer than Answers in Genesis' list of scientists who dissent from evolution.
