UCR was a ucr roleplaying region formerly involved with a yukki pact with Kaiserreich and Dawn. The founder was involved in a DOS which I won't talk about why the player was deleted because the action implicated is too fouly inappropriate. After the founder DOS August ordered a raid with other regions including a mix of gcrs ucrs and defenders to empty the region.

How can I form my own military org?

Could I recreate a military alliance from the past like for example ADN, RLA or another org?

Most sensible people don't wake up in the morning and decide "I think I'll run for President!". Well, some do, but they tend to fail. No, sensible people run for school board or county commissioner, then minor state office, then low level national office, then high level state office or major national office. You can't leap tall buildings in a single bound. You gotta take the stairs.

Start by joining an existing military. Get promoted, make contacts. No one will join you right now, and you absolutely can't do it solo.

Free Islandoria wrote:Could I recreate a military alliance from the past like for example ADN, RLA or another org?

Nope. Come up with your own organization. The survivors from the old alliances may take umbrage at some newbie trying to ride their reputation.

Welcome to NationStates. I'll be happy to help and I can be your mentor. You can feel free to shoot me a telegram to me and I can get back to you or point in the general direction, if you have any questions. You can ask about something about something specific or a survey. Starting out, you receive issues and later you will find that there is several things you can discover which includes various activities and regions.

Here are some guides:

Roleplay:
Factbooks and National Information
International Incidents

Region Building:
Region Building

Military Gameplay:
Military Gameplay

World Assembly:
This one is more by getting your feet wet. Most of the Security Council Resolutions will be irrelevant since you don't know who they are and the General Assembly is difficult to understand at first but you can discuss with other people or vote however you want. However, a bunch of stickied topics are available at the top of each the GA or SC forums for the rules, questions you might have, and passed resolutions.

Moderation:
Get Help and Moderation

However since you just talked about issues, here is what I think:
Nationstates stats react more with new nations that have less issues answered. Issues tend to have effects that are not always obvious but if you read through them you should get a handle of it. Also, when answering issues, there are tradeoffs. If you ban cars, you will be better off for the environment but the economy will suffer. Banning things related to the social area or protecting the public interest will restrict civil rights. So for example, like prohibiting the ability to make noise in public, banning smoking, or uniforms. So you cannot have a nation will low taxes, happy people, defense, a excellent environment, and strong government services.

I think there's a wiki to cheat what effects issues have but it got removed last year november. If you have trouble thinking about what an issue means, you can shoot me a telegram or ask someone on the got issues forum.

There is also a page describing the types of categories for a nation type and there are 27 of them.

Hello everybody! New to nation-states and doing a trial run of a school class region (FAQ for educators explains this) with one of my high school classes. We are beginning a unit on Europe in the 1800s, which includes a lot of nation-state building, and I wanted to test if Nation-States Two areas of desired advice.

1. General suggestions for fun and simple gameplay that will help teach about nation-state building. Keep in mind that my region is locked off from the rest of Nation-States and all my students' nations will only be participating with each other in our class region. I've read all of the FAQs and perused some forums, but there is a lot of information to digest quickly, and I"m hoping for just some easily implementable suggestions to get my feet wet.

2. Challenge ideas. As part of our region, I wanted to have some challenges to guide the students in their nation-state building, at least at the beginning. Specifically, we will be learning about different governmental types in the 1800s and reading The Communist Manifesto. Any communist related challenges (I was thinking have the lowest income inequality gap while still having a certain percentage/volume of economic output) greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there. A fun and interactive idea would be to have your students create their own custom flags, and to make a challenge out of it. The flags could be things relating to the current topic of discussion in the classroom, and is a great excercise for creativity, so long as the flags are in compliance with site policy.
The flag policy can be viewed here, if you have yet to peruse it: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=361490

If you wish to promote specific stats for the nations in your region, this can be done via answering “issues.” These issues will eventually reach the point of being 6 hours apart, so plan and schedule accordingly. For info on how to focus on building up specific stats, feel free to peruse this list of spoilers for issues and how to solve them for desired effects:

As with most things, by answering issues.

It's pure luck which issues come up, but there are quite a few which give you the option to take over various industries.

The game has nothing - you can create whatever you imagine in your factbooks. If you plan on using them in a roleplay, best to check with your fellow players what they think is reasonable.

I wanna make another nation but I wouldn’t dream of deleting my old one...any idea how to go about that? I tried looking to see if you could make multiple nations but I can’t find it anywhere.

If you log out of your current nation, you can then create another. As advised above, though, only one in the WA at any time (you can change which one, but you must resign first).

So I am planning on writing a treaty between a few regions, I can't seem to find any examples. I might not be looking hard enough though.

I would appreciate any help on finding examples for a interregional treaty.

I apologise if this should be in the Trading Cards thread, on balance I decided my question belonged more here than there.

Because of the Trading Cards thread I see there is a #rank value on each card when clicked.
The rank icon on our nation page leads us to our nation rankings on each of the ranking categories...is the #rank value located on the nation cards an overall figure made up of all of these rank values?
Does this value start again from the beginning if a nation rank moves from say Common to Uncommon, or indeed the other direction?

An in advance thanks for your help with my ponderings.

Hi. I know the next Z-Day is months away, but it doesn't hurt to prepare well in advance. My question is this: How many clones of my existing nation should I create in order to cure myself and remain zombie-free? One? Two? Ten? I've stumbled across nations with ten clones or more in The North Pacific. Hope this is the right thread.
