As for farms not being able to produce goods? That’s a lie. Most farms don’t get subsidies anyways and yet there is no food shortage going on. And even if the TSA continues not to work, private contractors will just pick up on where they left and do a better job, so calm the fuck down.

Any evidence it was known beforehand?

According to the Washington Post, Nancy is claiming that the President's public announcement of his denying her the use of the military jet constituted "leaking".

All I’m saying is that the shutdown isn’t as much of a big deal as the left is trying to make it out to be. But you know what Can? You can always get off your ass and join Whole Foods in helping out the federal workers, but no...it’s much easier just to call your opponent immoral in an attempt to achieve the moral high ground.
What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Also, remember kids, until Humungus rolls up to your house and asks you to just walk away, the shutdown is meaningless.

I wonder if the Dems will acknowledge Trump's offer or refuse it from the second he proposes it without looking at it.

Hopefully the former.

It will progressively get worse, and the effects of the shutdown will eventually (if slowly) start to creep into every day life. Its only been a month. Not much cam happen 8n a month. If it goes onnfor too long, we will start to see more ill effects.

I consider Air Traffic Controllers, federal law enforcement, food and drug inspectors, judges, fraud investigators, etc going unpaid is a big deal. Yes they are still working, but they are working for no pay. Of they stopped working our economy would crash. How long will they work without pay?

The full effects of the shutdown haven't even hit yet and it is getting bad if you know where to look.

How about start-up businesses or companies that moved their workshop that cannot start operating because there is noone to issue the required permits ?

Most permits are local govnerment thankfully. There are federal mineral extraction permits (mostly oil and uranium) but those are not what I would call a start up.

If it involves alcohol it is federal though. They need a permit from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.
