When pokemon decided to ignore the majority of its dedicated fanbase being adults or near adults to appeal to small children for all eternity the lore as a whole was dead.

Same, he seemed like a really nice man. His blog is surprisingly really intelligent and lends insight into the direction he wanted to lead the anime but was overruled by the higher members of the staff.

Luckily every now and then, we visit the city and I manage to look around with the app. Managed to capture a Numel, two Pikachu's, a Sneasel, and that one racist Pokémon that I'm surprised ended up in the game.

Finally got past certain hiccups that have been annoying me for a while, so that's been nice.

Unfortunately because I live in a heavily rural area, Pokémon Go tends not to have much catches for me. Luckily every now and then, we visit the city and I manage to look around with the app. Managed to capture a Numel, two Pikachu's, a Sneasel, and that one racist Pokémon that I'm surprised ended up in the game.

People still play that? I got fed up in the autumn of the year it was released.

I've been playing since the summer it came out here, I think I've noticed one other person playing, aside from my friends the day it came out and we all got it at the same time. And that guy I noticed because we were both in the same raid and his user name was a reference to a sports team, and I noticed him wearing that team's logo. But the gyms around me all change hands pretty regularly, so people are playing.

It's more that the summer and autumn 2016 it was everywhere, you literally couldn't step outside without running into several people and groups playing, all the landmarks were continually full of people, etc. so when that stopped the difference was pretty drastic. There's one staircase in Kaivopiha (central Helsinki, near the railway station) that's in range of three lure spots which was filled with people every day, all times of day (and usually night) playing for something like 4 months straight.

This is true. During the Spring and Summer it's uncommon to see roving groups of people in my town crowding around certain monuments/parks/stores because there's a lure or shiny Pokemon around those areas.

I think the largest group I saw was ~25 people at a single area.

SO me and my brother have been watching Pokémon in one giant binge and now we are on season 16.....I lost hope for the series after brock left.
Team rocket got serious all of a sudden...they don't even blast of anymore.

Well I meant season....but come to think of it season 1-8 felt like one solid piece of work with laughs all the way through. The other feel like remakes and spin offs which could be interpreted as different series.
