Skyhooked wrote:Team Skyhooked had good news and bad news. Good news, that one of the enemy gladiators was taken down. As Bjorn retracted his sword back from Demoman's chest, he said to his dying enemy: "We'll meet in Valhalla, pict warrior.", and started to look for anything helpful. A stickybomb launcher and targe shield proved to be valuable assets for viking warrior, so he took them, and decided to rush to aid his comrades.
But instad of running in an orderly fasion, he decided to utilize Demoman's explosives for transportation, for his constitution and armor, plus shield allowed him to do so without serious risk, so he fires one of the few lefotver stickies under his feet, steps into a fitting distance, and detonates it, while he jumps.
Bomb goes off and sends him into the air, also putting a few dents on his armor. Explosion also makes him lose one of it's smaller plates. But the price wasn't too high for a tactical opportunity of temporary flight. During his flight, he saw Soldier one one of the crates. Two sticky bombs were shot at him. Then Bjorn shoots the rest of them at Heavy, Medic and Pyro, who were making run for their weapons, and when he ran our of ammo, he threw the weapon itself at Medic, and landed near Pyro, rolling to prevent damage from fall. For Stan Dixon, who was surrounded by angry russian merc, ruthless stealth killer, pyromaniac and the Patient X, his arrival to the scene was a significant relief.
However, there were also bad news. Casey's fireball was deflected by Pyro's compression blast, but luckily Casey James and John Walker AI were far away already, as they were running at full speed to save their comrades. They managed to arrive to the crates, but still they had yet to get to the scene, besides, Casey James was fatigued after long running at full speed, and will have to rest for a while before he can fight at full power again. Also, John Walker AI was hit by a bullet from sniper instead of Casey, as he was near. The bullet put a large dent on his head plate.
As for Seth, his wounds got worse, and he collapsed from pain for a while, and when got up, he started to feel weakness from wounds. Old wounds started aching too. He tore a few pieces of cloth from his clothes to stop bleeding, but he still needs some sort of medic. Despite that, he will still try to fight...
Meanwhile, Stan quickly reacted to hydra's head lunging at him, and stepped back, while casting a frostbite spell from both hands, which amplifed it's effect, with jet of ice of extremely low temperature became even colder. It froze the acidic poison and hopefully caused it to fall back. The spell burned through Stan's mana pretty quickly however, rendering his magicka pool empty for a while.

He saw her coming bright as day and shot one of his grappling hooks -- made of a piercing, thick needle and then four, razor sharp clamps, all shot at a speed of several hundred miles per hour -- at her, attempting to impale her with spot-on timing and aim. Were her to be successful, he'd clutch the thick wire of the hook and almost immediately use it to swing Jana in a giant, perhaps sonic-speed arc that would end with her hitting the next turret.

The Zeonic Imperium wrote:Having kept out of the limelight throughout the sky and the like, not wanting to cause themselves to be a large target, the Zeonic team had diverged into three units: the lower powered mobile suits led by Luger Lugh would scout about the scene and eventually pick off a target on the ground, while the second team of Angelo Sauper and Banagher Links would fly on at a closer range to Zoltan and Titania in case allied support is needed. The final team of Zoltan and the mysterious mobile suit pilot known as Titania had guided the rest of the team easily past the obstacles, Newtype ingenuity allowing them to see and predict through oncoming threats before they manage to make contact.
"Lugh to Sauper, contestent numbers are slowly dwindling; readying to make a move with you if you'd like: best leave the top two to fight the top two." The Rebawoo pilot spoke, the Attacker and Nutter of her machine zooming about as they watched on the combat from above, with Erika and Zechst following behind her armor.
"Sauper to Lugh, we're only ordered to aid you in combat till Zoltan needs assistance: make it quick." The two other mobile suits who were under Zoltan and Titania's aid boosted on above them as they all began to cut their engines, the Rebawoo reforming into one piece, and the group slowly descending down into the factory's ground level, the weapons arming and readying for combat. "A shame we're going dark for this one: I don't want anything else to dirty the paint job: the ash is already enough fuss to clean out."
And soon, they were on the prowl: as a precaution, Luger raises her arms up and fires a barrage of 4 mortar-like grenades into the sky where they heard and saw combat erupting, which exploded on into the air! Raining on down above the other competitors, came a heavy rainfall of MIRV-like grenades, hailing down and exploding as soon as the made contact with the ground. Banagher, Erika and Zechst had aimed their beam rifles out to the engagement, ready to fire their gigantic weaponry off into the conflict as Angelo armed his INCOM weaponry to extend off, making sure to watch for any sneak attacks against them.

Veise wrote:The sudden destruction had deflected Astre's hook way off, and he had it reel itself back in. A bead of sweat ran down the Prince's head as he watched the entirety of his battlefield cease to exist. Regaining his composure, the flying Prince went in for a landing on what remained of the bridge in order to face the Legion on foot.
"Greetings." Astre pulled his hood down. "My name Prince Astre Crestet. I am your enemy. Prepare to die." he said quite robotically. He entered a balanced-defense-offense swords stance.

Skyhooked wrote:Looks like the fight becoame more epic, as Oni and Soldeir arived to the scene. Bjorn barely managed to dodge Oni's slash, and when he heared an offer of surrender, he refused: "Surrender? Ha! I am not defeated yet!"-He shouts, as he runs towards Pyro, covering behind his new shield, which probably may protect him from at least some fire, as he gets close enough, he quickly strikes at the flamethrower with his sword, hoping to damage it, or even beat it out of Pyro's hands.
First Leader Seth, fighting his pain, slowly approached the scene and shot a few long bursts at Medic. Due to his wounds, his accuracy was reduced. Then he attempts to get back to cover, hoping, that he will make it in time.
As for Casey and John Walker AI, looks like the relief in form of them had arrived just in time. The first was John Walker AI, who reloaded his assault rifle and fired a long burst at Medic, defining him as the weakest, but important target. Then, instead of reloading, he choose to go melee, and switched to the Eyelander, which he found near fallen Demoman. With that, he looked like a classical knight in shining armor, who came to rescue: "Activating protocol "Deus Vult", he said in robotic tone and made a run to the Oni, hoping, that his hull is hard enough to deflect a few Heavy's bullets delivered from Motherland by Sasha the Minigun.
Then came Casey James, that stoner with UZI, who stopped for a while to catch his breath. He was more than happy to add some awesomeness to an already awesome show, and decided to spice up things with a casual quick spray from his UZI at general direction of Heavy, before launching a firebolt, a small non-explosive fire projectile at Medic. -"I am spicing things up, dudes!"-He shouted, hoping to distract at least some of the foes.
In the meantime, Stan Dixon fired a few shots from revolver at Soldier and Oni, then tried to throw an ice spike, but failed to do so, as his magicka still wasn't sufficient for that. Instead, he took out his bowie knife and attempted to backstab Heavy, hoping, that this bear from Russia will be too preoccupied with his other folks, and thinking, that he, the drunken cowboy can backstab people like the Spy, just because on one hunt, he managed to kill a large wild boar with it, when his old rifle jammed despite all the extensive care, he gave it.

Skyhooked wrote:Seth was wounded already, and taking another mag was just too much for him. He got a lethal wound, which was boung to kill him soon, but before dying for the second time, Seth managed to fire the last his burst back at whoever fired at him. Only four team members left, and they will have to double efforts to win this tournament, while Seth will be revived at home and then watch the rest of the tournament back in Skyhooked.
Meanwhile, Casey took a katana slash at his back and a bullet from Heavy. Two light wounds added to his collection of scars. Sniper's bullet narrowly missed him, when he turned around to retalitate to katana attack. That wasn't a thing he exactly liked, so in responce, he reloaded his UZI, came closer to Heavy, who had already switched to his fists and fired at least half of mag at him at almost point blank range. Then he goes scout and tries to bonk him with a sledgehammer. He ended up out of rockets explosion range, lucky fella.
As for John Walker AI, he indeed got to know, what Sniper has to offer. One of the bullets fired at him hit right in an unarmored spot and damaged one of the circuits, forcing the machine to reroute power and stagger for a second. That's where Soldier's rockets do harm, as the synth gets caught in explosion and crashes into the nearest crate. That resulted in losing a few hull plates and a minor short circuit in one of his servomotors, which luckily didn't cause much damage. Also, some sparks were coming out of his arm. His response was pretty unorthodox, as he grabbed a barely hanging plate on his left leg, and threw it at Soldier as shuriken. The enxt step was to spray at medic with an assault rifle.
In his part of this saga, Bjorn narrowly saved his pretty face by covering behind his newly acquired shield. Then he tried to bash Pyro and slash him with a sword. One thing however... despite blocking the flare, it still fell near Bjorn's feet, and after his attack, set one of his boots on fire, causing him to forget about other things for a while and put off the fire just in time it won't cause him bad burns.
And here comes the turn for Stan Dixon, who may soon become Heavy's new, fancy cowboy themed punching bag. Despite this being a great honor, Stan had to decline it and politely respond with another ice spike, directed right to the head and jumping back. Then he realized, that there are more thing to deal with, when he too saw the Zeonic mechs above and prepared to dodge bombing from above. he knew, that mechs can do this. They do bomb things from above, right? Right?
