I want to know what political ideology test people think is better and why they use them or think others should use them. Seeing as this is a political simulator game I would like see where people stand politically without the over exaggeration done to their political views due the way this site works which is for fun.

When it come to political ideology tests I personally use all of them as they all have their advantages/disadvantages so I use all of them to paint a clearer picture for people when I post the results on my social media pages.

Tbh you shouldn't use political tests. They ask sometimes vague or loaded questions that don't always fit what you actually believe. What I suggest is reading about different political ideologies and pick which one best fits your beliefs. Or you could just not subscribe to an ideology and just be your own ideology. For me, I'm an Islamist (which actually is a real ideology with different variations)

Political tests are fun to do but always come up with a difference result each time. In some tests I am a social libertarian, in others an authoritarian socialist. They shouldn't be taken seriously imo

I know even the Political scales test says so before you start the test which is why they added an answer "Neutral/hesitant" which helps, plus that's the reason why I take different ones I also like the isidewith.com test because their questions are compared with how politicians answered the same/similar questions on news/interview programs then it gives you a percent of how much you "sode" with each politician and political parties.


Also sometimes I take the test as my NS nation's leader to see where they fall.

I’ve always gotten some kind of liberalism, but it varies. Except on the broken one that said something stupid like anarcho-communism. I’m not even sure how they got that.

I think they're pretty spot-on, for the most part. My results have been pretty uniform throughout different tests.

I know my Political Compass score is -3, -7 but that's because I take the test knowing that it's biased towards the left and probably correct for that subconsciously.

Where I stand can be found as a link in my sig. I find it much more accurate than the Political Compass as it's right in line with where I'd put myself, whereas my political compass of approximately (-4,1) is in the same quadrant as Stalin and far to the left of the whole of contemporary American politics, which doesn't really make sense.

Idk why but I kinda enjoy personality tests. Not like those Buzzfeed “We can tell what kind of sandwich you are based on your choice of Disney movie villains” tests, but ones like the MBTI. They’re not scientific, but they are fun.

The Nolan chart is right-libertarian propaganda. In fact a lot of these tests are. Also, a lot of them are Americentric.

Political Compass has problems such as being dated to the early 2000s (what the fuck would Adolf Hitler's opinion on bottled water be? and why does it matter?) and has a left-libertarian bias. Their charts for political figures seemed accurate back in the day but these days they think everyone is a far-right authoritarian.

And other Republicans, all of the conservative parties in the UK, and many of the leaders of the EU might as well be Pinochet according to them.

Assad and Hu Jintao, leaders of officially socialist countries, are also literally Pinochet.

But on the left they put Saddam Hussein and Robert Mugabe, both infamously brutal dictators, as just slightly more authoritarian than George W. Bush.

Yet in famously conservative Ireland, apparently everyone is a lot more chill and some parties are even pretty far-left. I'm not sure what to make of this one.

While I agree with them that global politics has taken a turn towards right-wing authoritarianism over the last couple of decades, I doubt the accuracy of their charts and think they exaggerate, and also they are inconsistent.

(All of these charts were made by the creators of PC even if they aren't hosted on the site anymore. I remember seeing them there years ago.)

I find a lot of these online political tests are for an American audience. Whenever I take them I always come out as a total communist trot. In reality I am more centre left, I think there should be a free market and I don't agree with total state control of the economy. but centre left in the UK is total far leftist/socialist in the USA.

Questions are either black and white or vague and their alignments are always off, so I don't even use them and I don't understand why anybody else does. They're all either biased or flawed; there is no in-between.

Honestly I think they are fun little party tricks like “Which Star Wars villain are you?”
