Name: Marina Collazo
Age: 25
Gender: F
Race: Human-Bakeneko hybrid
Appearance:
Image

Young Blood?: N
Bio: Marina's story begins the same way the story of all bakeneko-human hybrids do - with a bakeneko, masking his real form with his shapeshifting abilities, meeting a fine human lady and, after a short and hot-tempered romance, laying her down. As it turns out, much to the father's surprise these two species are actually compatible - that much became obvious when his lover gave birth to twins with feline ears sticking out from their skull and tails extending from their backs, and the father was immediately forced to run.

Of course, that is widely considered a dick move. However, Marina's mother - and, yes, the twins you just saw mentioned are in fact Marina and her sister Irene - had something a lot more important to worry about, namely, that they were living in a rural village in the country of Venezuela. A country whose name one probably would not associate with "national stability", especially not with the ongoing Bolivarian Revolution essentially uprooting the current political system and building it anew - not that this was all that relevant to Marina and her family, as they were more concerned with the superstitious villagers denouncing the two girls as some sort of hellspawns, unwelcome mutants, and their mother was probably a reactionary and American spy too! With the constant harassment and the threat of direct action from the villagers, the fatherless family moved to one village, then the other, then the other... until Marina and Irene's mother finally got sick of them.

Maybe some of the accusations against the two hybrids actually stuck to her feeble mind, or maybe she was getting tired of carrying two girls with her who bring nothing but trouble, even if they are her children. Nope, nope. Forget that they're your children, they're not even human, how could they be? Just dump them in a forest somewhere?

That's where Marina and Irene ended up, crying for help for the first few days with nothing but jungle and the occasional animal in front of them, until the blonde-haired girl finally took the initiative. She's always been the more ambitious and proactive of the two, Irene was... a bit of a dullard, even if a lovable one. Marina's master plan was a discarded piece of a newspaper she found in an abandoned camping site during their slow travels aross the Venezuelan lianas. It talked about the ongoing pro-super and pro-supernatural reforms in Ecuador, spearheaded by the recent Condor government, and even printed the dictator Sergio Martinez's statement that all superhumans and supernatural beings suffering discrimination anywhere on the planet are welcome to apply for refugee status in their humble state. This marked the beginning of Marina and Irene's four year long travel aross northern South America, growing up from scared little girls to life-tested women during the meantime - and as they arrived to Ecuador, their long held hopes on finally seeing a life which is not just prejudice, hatred and poverty were starting to fulfill.

Though with some initial hurdles due to having no identification and barely knowing how to read, Marina and Irene eventually applied for refugee status in Ecuador and, after a few years, became naturalized citizens. The two sisters acquired a small apartment in Guayaquil and Irene soon found her calling in a local bakery. Marina, on the other hand, was still overflowing with gratitude for this new life they had been granted after a long struggle, opted to find a way to return the favor by serving the nation which had welcomed them so. This goal eventually led to her ending up as an officer in the National Intelligence Secretariat, the dictatorship's foreign intelligence agency, after yeras of study and difficult training. Not exactly where she expeted to ended up in at first - even an office job would have sufficed - however, the NIS recruitment department almost immediately noted the potential which a bakeneko brought to the table. Being able to shapeshift and boast cat-like reflex are valuable assets for any spy. And hey, a job is a job, especially if it helps pay for their bills, which Irene's unstable bakery work was not going to achieve.

And it was a job which eventually led to ber being assigned to one of the most sought after missions which an agent working for the Secretariat could hope to receive. The Caudillo's uppity daughter, formerly a member of the Andean Condors, made her choice to travel to the United States and seek fame there - and while Sergio reluctantly allowed her to go, he could tell that this would go horribly if not carefully observed and managed, and Marina was handpicked thanks to her combination of talent and prospective strength to deal with exactly that. Observe what the Caudillo's daughter is doing in North America, report all new information to the Secretariat and, if necessary, save her from unwanted danger.

Both unwanted physical danger and danger in the form of unwanted relationships. One of which Renata is starting to already dabble into...
Powers:
  • Bakeneko Hybrid Physiology: Bearing the blood and genes of a Bakeneko, a species of extrasensory shapeshifting felines originating in East Asia and spreading across the planet despite being hunted to near-extinction, Marina has access to all of their abilities, although, because of being diluted with the human genome, those powers manifest more weakly than in a normal member of her kind.
    • Feline Physiology: Marina has access to cat-like enhanced reflexes, senses and predatorial instincts, and because of some innate magical enhancement, her physical stats are somewhat higher than the average person in general. Not exactly wall-busting tier, but enough to break a couple ribs with a well-placed strike.
    • Extrasensory Perception: The most basic and weakest form of telepathy. Marina has the ability to perceive the auras of other living beings and read their emotions or intentions, detect the presence of supernatural or superhuman beings in her vicinity, and view and infiltrate dreams while sleeping.
    • Memory-Based Shapeshifting: Marina has the ability to shift her body and structure into any living being she has a clear mental picture of. Her preferred shapeshift of choice is that of a cat, useful for infiltrating and spying on various locations, but, if necessary, she can shift into other humans or animals she can clearly remember.
  • Offensive Fire Magic: Known by its name "Fox-Fire", it is an art of fire magic used by bakenekos, kitsunes and other furries yokai, projecting the user's spiritual energy in the form of fire, light or electricity - in Marina's case, for generating fireballs, fire blasts and fire constructs for various offensive applications. Though Marina can't claim to be a master in this art, having only begun learning its tenets relatively recently, she has a natural talent at casting various spells and isn't afraid of using them if the situation calls for it.
  • Special Agent Training: Marina is a special agent working for the National Intelligence Secretariat of Ecuador, and this job obviously comes with its own needs and training to fulfill them. She is trained in the usage of multiple types of firearms, several types of martial arts and pressure point theory for instant takedowns, covering up her trail after secret missions and assassinations, forging necessary documents for passing off as a local and infiltrating guarded locations, and, through lectures and practice on maintaining calm and controlling her blood pressure, she is able to pass unharassed by lie detectors during interrogation (though it's hasn't really come up yet).

Limitations:
  • Memory-Based Shapeshifting: In order for a bakeneko like Marina to change into different forms, she needs to have fully memorized the form she wants to shape into. The more faded her memory of the form is, the more likely she is to screw up details or simply fail to shapeshift entirely.
  • Weak Extrasensory Abilities: Bakeneko extrasensory abilities are pitiful when compared to human telepaths, and do not include applications such as telekinesis or telepathy, so don't have all that much use in a battlefield aside for recon.
  • Unmastered Magic: Though Marina is a talented spellcaster and Fox-Fire wielder, she has only recently acquired this ability and could hardly call herself an expert in using it. It doesn't help that she does not find many opportunities as she would want to for putting it to use.
  • Special Agent: Marina is no hero, villain or vigilante, she is a special agent working for the Ecuadorian secret services and thus subjects to drawbacks which most of her peers wouldn't experience. The job requires her to not resort to violence unless absolutely necessary or if there is no chance of her cover being blown, and she has to maintain as little contact with authorities as possible, which isn't easy with Warwolf running around everywhere. Needless to say, this limit can become a real hindrance in a pitched battle, where she constantly has to make sure that her identity isn't compromised.
  • The Caudillo's Daughter: Marina's mission in the United States is not only to spy on, but to potentially protect Renata, if she gets into a situation where her life is put under danger. In such situations, keeping the heroine alive takes priority over anything else, even, if the clash escalates enough, safeguarding Marina's own life. Unfortunately, Renata seems to have a some sort of death wish and keeps getting into increasingly dangerous battles - and always with this team of fellow teenagers, whom Marina obviously doesn't want to reveal her existence to, which complicates thing to no end.

Weaknesses:
  • Feline Physiology: She's a cat. Well, a catgirl, yeah, but cat-like regardless. She is only barely physically stronger than the average person. She has an additional appendage sticking out from her back which you could pull on and give her shooting pain. Her ears are sticking out from her head and are easily noticeable, and grabbable. Etc.
  • Anti-Psionics: Abilities and equipment which eliminate the target's psionic abilities, such as psionic shields, leave bakenekos, as well as Marina, without their extrasensory perception, the ability to project spiritual energy for Fox-Fire, and even the ability to shapeshift, which is reliant on the user's psionic prowess. At that point, the only thing Marina has going for her are her physicals.

Likes: Chess, playing the guitar, sour food, Ecuador, healthy amount of sleep, everything going as planned.
Dislikes: Bitter food, milk, Western television, being forcefully woken up, Renata doing stupid things, Wonder Island (because she can't get there)

Name:Commander Daniel Greer
Age: 65 (?)
Gender: Male
Race: American/Human
Appearance (pics if possible):
Image 1, Image 2, Image 3
Young Blood?: N

Bio:
Image

Containment- NOTE: Should individual reach O-5 Council or Administrator status, all contents within this dossier is to be stricken from all Pandora Lock databases and impromptu destroyed.
Subject Class- SAFE
Description-Daniel Greer is currently the alias of 6'4, approximately Sixty Five years of age, Caucasian Man; sporting a trademark eye-patch on his left socket and a thick black mustache. His body frame is analogous to a non-alerted human male with 4% body fat, although numerous instances of aging skin and moles can be seen; although not to a degree to a male of similar age. Having been selected by the O-5 Council for Operation Romulus in 1986, Greer has risen to rank of Commander within the First Responders and even leads a Special Operation Force that operate solely under his leadership.

Recommended Procedures- Should containment protocols prove to be necessary for the agency, lethal force is advised. PL leadership will be well advised to issue a blacklist in case of any attempts of AWOL or hostile actions is observed. If it is demonstrated or decided that the subject at hand needs to be contained, the following measures should be observed. A Mobile Task Force no small than twenty agents should be dispatched with ongoing UAV reconnaissance, subject can move at remarkable speeds for short distances, sniper fire team must assist MTF group from between 150 and 300 meters. CLASS A anesthetics should be readied to be administered through specialized equipment to completely nullify the individual. If successful, body is to be placed in a induced coma until arrival at Blacksite [REDACTED]. Due to the individuals’ connection within the inner workings of the agency, full containment protocols are kept on lock in key at said site; director on hand will inform O-5 personnel of the remaining procedures once informed of any incidents.

Summary Profile-
NOTE: Much of the subjects information on life before the Agency has so far not be ascertained. Having operated in the Special Activities Division, much of his history has already been removed from public record; ongoing interviews to acquire more has so far not been successful due to previous oaths on the matter.

Intelligence gathered on the matter notes an individual of similar age range and appearance graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1970; this would fall in line with his heavy use of a sword of similar design handed to graduated officers. Acquired records indicate that he first entered service in 1971, as a US Marine in combat over the fields of Vietnam. Discprensies with the timeline can not place specific missions within Vietnam but can verify his sightings within Laos or Cambodia; suggesting some connection with the Special Operations Group or MACVSOG. Organization operations included black propaganda, sabotage missions, POW rescues, stronghold eliminations, among others. Overtures from the Nixon Administration for a de-escalation of the war saw more and more action outside the international legal purview to disrupt NVA and VC supply lines across the border. Marking targets for strikes became the most common mission in 1973 as he mentioned offhandedly during private conversations.

Daniels having presumably distinguished himself during the Vietnam Conflict attracted the attention of the Central Intelligence Agency and became one of their main operatives within their highly selective Special Activities Division. Current Pandora Lock overtures to secure more on his history has so far been stonewalled, but what can be ascertained is that many of his missions were carried out within Cold War hot-spots such as Afghanistan, East Germany, Ecuador, and the Soviet Union. Biography will be updated at the time of CIA archives are afforded to us.

Operation Dragon Spear was a five-man excursion led by the Subject in to the Kandahar Mountain Range on the Indian-Pakistani Border. What Greer has so far shared is that the mission objective was to secure a Pakistani nuclear scientist from a nearby mountain town; however, by the time of the team’s arrival, all individuals had fallen under the influence of an unknown third party. An Indian magic practitioner of the approximate age of 18 to 25 had frozen the town for an unknown agenda; whether this was in regard to the scientists or just coincidence is not known. Daniel in following debriefs notes that this was his first experience with anomalous entities, although not necessarily meta-humans. With no connection to the superiors, Daniels began a three day protracted fight with the entity before Pandora Locks’ MTF teams arrived on the scene. Daniel, the only survivor, had successfully dispatched the practitioner; but the noncombatants went into a catatonic state when the entity was dispatched.

Secured and questions by Pandora Locks teams, Daniels voiced dismay at the discovery of more unconstrained anomalous beings within the greater scope of the world. Requesting transfer, Special Activities allowed Daniels to become a member of the organization; which saw him transfer over to the First Responders. In 1986, Project Romulus was green lit by the Council, with Greer selected as the only candidate. The exact nature of the experiment has been classified until [REDACTED], but the project was deemed a success. Greer achieved the rank of Commander during the First Contact Event and Rift incidents for actions that delayed the enemy from reaching critical areas of interest.

Internal politics within the United Nations has made it clear the statistical probability of his ascent into 0-5 Council following his retirement from the First Responders; although this is by no means a guarantee. Privately, Daniels owns a home within Irvine, California with a wife, Veronica, of thirty three years; they have had two children: August and Sarah Greer. August has since followed the ranks of his father and operates currently under the command of Agent Kross; Sarah died in 2011 due to an automobile accident involving a front on collision by an inebriated driver. Sarah having given birth the previous year, her child 'Selim' was transferred over to the legal guardianship of her parents. Greer has written and published three books under a pen name; each was thoroughly reviewed by PL agents before reaching print: 'Hannibal and Scorpio: An in-depth analysis of the Second Punic Wars', 'The Lion of the OSS', and 'Global Hegemony in a Extra-galactic Society' . He and his wife actively attend the St. John Pauls Chapel in Irvine, Veronica has risen to a senior rank within the congregation; although Greer has expressed multiple overtures of distaste in religion.

Physiological Analysis- SKIP to PAGE 53 for full debrief.

Powers:
  • [Enhanced physiology]: Due to Project Romulus, Greer has demonstrated numerous abilities that have made him an effective First Responder. Tracking Speeds on par with gunfire, his augmented agility and perception have allowed him to use it in an effective degree. Strength has also been shown to be unilaterally improved, although this was not the stated goal of the Project, it maybe be possible that [REDACTED] medical agent may have enhanced his physiology in order to better handle the advanced stress placed on his body.
  • [Advanced Combat Acumen]: A decorated soldier and operative, Daniels knows the ins and outs of every strategic or tactical plan. Proficient in every weapon type, his signature, an office sword, is still used by him on most missions. Beyond this, his expert leadership has allowed him to have the highest containment rate between his peers.

Limitations:
  • Operative Greer's meta-human abilities have proven to be heavily reliant on his perception. After Action Reports submitted by Commander Greer has demonstrated multiple injuries related to small arms fire; his ability can not be used to save him from bodily harm should he become aware of the weapon AFTER it has been fired. Should Blacklist Protocols be authorized by any O-5 Council member, a more detailed report will be afforded to members of the accompanying MTF team.

Weaknesses (Reasons why someone could kick their ass):
  • [Age]: Nearing retirement age, Daniels has expressed various desires to retire as well as, citing numerous issues with his knee and joints. His feats and accomplishments are waning with each passing year, and this has significantly limited his combat abilities in long term missions or excessive events.
  • [Vulnerability to Weaponry]: Despite his advanced speed and agility, as well as his enhanced perception and endurance, gunfire has and will continue to be an effective asset against him.

Likes: Pandora's Lock, his wife Veronica, his grandchild Selim, his men.
Dislikes:His son August, politics, multiple O-5 decisions

Young Blood?: No
Bio: Jan was born to Jozef and Katrina Soroks, a family of middle class, deeply religious public servants in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland - not really thrown into complete poverty, but far from a wealthy family, either, especially since it's still Poland we're talking about and not, say, Western Europe. The boy's early life went pretty inconsequentially - the nation was in the midst of an economic boom, the Great Recession came and went without leaving any lasting impact, and though the country's political development was... not necessarily for the best, but since Jan's parents were PiS supporters and voters, they kept their seats in administrative office fairly smoothly. Jan himself spent his childhood immersed in comic books, Western television, and hoping to one day follow the steps of his morther and father and help make the lives of others better by fighting for them in public office.

Until he turned around 14 years old, which is when everything started going to crap. You see... Poland, much like the rest of Eastern Europe, coping with their Communist past and, unlike their Western peers, only seeing the establishment of superhero teams after the fall of the Iron Curtain, had a bit of a supervillain terrorism problem. And often not even in villains acting solo, but entire teams and organizations of villains, operating in a similar fashion to the Mafia, dividing up territory and employing whatever ideology they were united under with little competition. After the expansion of the EU to Eastern Europe, the Confederation of Heroes began working on ensuring stability in the former communist states, but this problem remains amok to this day. Anyway. After a harsh law enforcement action against one of their rings in the countryside, one of these supervillain rings in Poland opted to make a show of force, by committing a mass act of terrorism - and the target they chose was Poland's Ministry of Internal Affairs, where several squads of mercenaries alongside a few villains were sent to infiltrate the complex and slaughter everything standing on two legs which isn't one of their own or an ironing board. And, unfortunately, this was also the ministry in which Jozef and Katrina were working, and just so happened to bring their son to their place that day...

The faint sounds of screams and gunfire echoing from the corridors was enough of a hint that nobody with a sane mind would wish to stay in their office for too long - however, the Soroks, stuck in a crowd of fleeing public servants, did not manage to escape in time, and as soon as the first of the armed terrorists caught up to them, both Jozef and Katrina were gunned down in seconds, while their son barely leapt to the side in the nick of time. Enraged, Jan stretched his arms forward and, alongside screams of anger, bent the barrels of the weapons of the assaulters and tossed several tables, drawers and cabinets without touching any one of them, knocking out half of the assailants and forcing the rest to step back in surprise and confusion at the boy unlocking his innate powers at this very instant, giving him enough of a window to flee and escape the complex without any further incidents.

Jan was tossed into the world with a shellshocked mind, still failing to grasp the terror he witnessed in front of him, no parents or guardians - his parents' home was inherited by his uncle, who lived in Norway and had zero interest in taking in a nephew, and the rest of his extended family were either too distant or already dead - and freshly unlocked psionic abilities. Fearing (unreasonably so) that he might still be targeted, the boy offered to not offer himself to any authorities, say, child protection services, and instead began living all by himself, becoming a vagabond, falling to the lowest underbelly of Polish society - living off what he could gather, scraps and the occasional short-term job, witnessing rampant crime, violence and suffering he had never even heard of back during his comfortable middle class life, and getting into incidents with thugs or even police almost every single day. Faced with malnutrition at the point in his life when he should be having his teenage growth spur, Jan was left frail and shorter than his peers - but still refused to give in.

He hated it, he hated it all - and he was so close to breaking and becoming like the rest, too. However, he found solace in a few things. The first one was God, which had been a major presence throughout his whole life regardless thanks to his parental upbringing. The second... was something so odd that Jan could only interpret it as a message from God.

One night, after passing out underneath one of the Warsaw bridges from exhaustion, the teenager received a dream. A dream... where he, after having grown up, decided to pack his stuff and leave for the United Kingdom, where he joined a team of superheroes who call each other "the Syndicate". He saw himself apply for this so-called organization, he became the youngest hero in their ranks and took on the alias "Lech", after the great founder of the Polish people many centuries ago, he joined them in missions to confront dastardly villains and rescue innocent people from hostage situations... and then, out of nowhere, the dream ended. He saw himself get into a heated debate with the fellow hero called Heamet and before they could finish, the dream turned all blurry and bright, and moments later, the boy opened his eyes. It was a dream after all.

But it told him that he should aspire for something greater than being a rat in the mud. It reinforced the innate feeling that despite all that happened, he was still different from others. He did not see himself as a thug, he never brought himself to steal to survive, he didn't want to act selfish or like a psychopath... and he was where he was exactly because of others acting selfish and like psychopaths. And if so, then the true path to solace is to make sure that what happened to him doesn't happen to others. That he should try to use his powers to prevent what he himself failed to prevent. Starting around 16 years old, Jan would occasionally start to take up on vigilantism - stopping robberies, assaults or muggings with his psionic powers, take down the scum with police nor any other authority ever bothered to touch. With each life saved, with each person's day made just a little better, his conviction grew greater and greater.

Until eventually, this God-given mission to becoming a vigilante, much like what he saw in his dream, led to him leaving his home nation of Poland and ending up in America, the Land of Opportunity. More accurately, the city of San Diego - perhaps it's odd that he decided to start his conquest of the United States from the West rather than the much closer East, but hey, it's 2017, distances are no longer a problem for the average person. And hey, he knows enough English to communicate, it shouldn't be problematic, right?

During the month and a half he spent in the United States, Jan went through a lot. He got arrested by Warwolf and kept in their custody and got to meet Kiris, one of the members of the Young Bloods, whom he took an almost immediate liking of. After the rest of her team broke into the facility to free them both, Jan's fate remained tied to them - he unveiled the entity hiding within Yoshi's mind, the Scarab, and swore to free her from the psionic entity even if it takes his life, and he befriended Casimir, one of the team's members, tagging along with him in missions against Drakon throughout August. Ultimately, however, Jan would achieve his goal of defeating the Scarab, at the cost of his own life - in a final gambit, he imprisoned her within his mindscape and then allowed Red to destroy his own mindscape, killing them both.

However, though he may have died, it was not the end to him. Passing through the gates of Heaven, Jan's soul was soon found by the archangel Michael, who had noticed the pious and virtuous teenager in Warsaw and later in San Diego - his faith and virtue, as well as inherent psionic powers, made him a prime candidate for the Chorus of Virgils. Though reluctant at first - having done all he can do to fight evil during his short life, Jan was considering to put down the torch and consider his debt to society repaid - Jan agreed, and was fashioned into a virgil, one of Heaven's many agents in the afterlife and the living world.
Powers:
  • Virgil Physiology: A Virgil is a cross between a tour guide and a heavenly knight, recruited from the most virtuous of those who enter Heaven, and serves as an agent of God and the chorus of angels underneath him. Virgils are tasked with escorting lost souls through the afterlife, bringing them to the place where they belong, completing missions in the living world such as warding off demons and agents of other deities, and, if necessary, protecting the afterlife alongside the angels and seraphim from whatever invasion may occur. Many of the most virtuous Christians recorded in history went on to become virgils themselves - and even quite a few non-Christians whose souls ended up in the Christian afterlife for one reason or another, most notably Virgil, the most famous of the Choir of Virgils and whose name stuck as a descriptor for the organization in general. Virgils have been conflated with angels more often than not in historical sources, as they appear to be almost identical - most notably, they are the ones responsible for the Nephilim.
    • Flight: Like angels, virgils have a set of bird-like wings on their back which they can use to fly. The speed of a virgil's flight is roughly the same as a running pace.
    • Gating: A virgil is able to open portals between Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and the living world, thus able to access all of these dimensions as well as bring others with him. Opening a portal takes about ten seconds of concentration and is thus pretty much useless in battle.
  • Psionics: Psionics is an umbrella term for powers which involve reading and projecting one's thoughts and mental power either for mental or physical effects - and it is the power which manifested within Jan and now follows him throughout his life. The most obvious use of psionics is, obviously, telepathic communication with any other human beings - however, psionics is a very catch-all superpower and this is far from the only application of Jan's powers.
    • Telepathic Communication: The ability to communicate with others from a distance through thoughts. The power Jan uses the most often, sometimes even subconsciously, reading the thoughts of other people around him without being fully aware of what's happening.
    • Mind Sensing: As Jan's telepathy does not have a sight limitation (but other powers like telekinesis do), this is pretty much a required secondary power for it. He is able to sense the presence of other conscious minds within a few kilometer radius and reach out to them - as such, the range limitation of Jan's mind sense is also the range limitation of his telepathic powers.
    • Mind Network: If Jan reaches out to more than one person with his telepathic powers, he forms a network of connected minds with him as the central "server", allowing people who might not have telepathic powers themselves to communicate with others who are a part of this "mind network" through a distance.
    • Telekinesis: The ability to control and manipulate objects with one's mind - say, lift up objects, throw them or crush them. A fairly versatile use of Jan's powers, though it has very clear limits - manipulating objects above his own weight inflicts significant strain upon his body, which grows exponentially with every single body weight added on top. Lifting, say, a ton of weight telekinetically (say, a heavy car) might just leave him unconscious.
    • Psionic Constructs: The ability to channel psionic energy into physical constructs, such as blades or tools. The least trained application of Jan's power out of those which he has unlocked, as such, he can only create the most basic constructs such as shields or swords.

Limitations:
  • The Decalogue: Being an entity in the Heavenly hierarchy means that Jan is physically unable to break the guiding principle of God's will, the Ten Commandments. Most of the Commandments are hard to break for a person of Jan's character, but two of them are relevant most specifically. Jan is unable to kill any other living being - if he inflicts damage at a point where they would not be able to survive without immediate medical help, the damage is automatically restored to a point where this is no longer the case. At most, Jan is able to knock out living beings, but even that is on a grey line - after all, cutting off consciousness for a time longer than a few seconds is seriously risky. The second thing is that he cannot lie - if he tries to say a lie, his body will instinctively correct itself. Jan is fairly virtuous, however, so he rarely gets to try to break the Commandments.
  • Telekinetic Strain: As stated earlier, Jan's telekinesis has clear limits on how much matter he can control or push at once. There is a point in which the strain becomes so hard to bear that no amount of willpower can power through it.
  • Physical Frailty: Jan is as physically durable as a mundane human person - and perhaps even less so, seeing as he is smaller and lighter than average. If you stab him, he will bleed out. If you toss him out a five story window, he will die. And no amount of telepathy or telekinesis will change that.

Weaknesses:
  • Paragon: Jan has a very strong sense of right and wrong and is dutifully dedicated to doing the former, which means that the word "compromise" doesn't exist in his vocabulary. If he has decided that something is the right thing to do - even if it's far too dangerous for something like him, even if his allies have voiced disagreement, even if it compromises a plan, even if it's not actually the right thing to do - then he's going to do it, no matter what.
  • Second Death: Being already dead does not protect you from dying again - if such a thing happens, your soul is destroyed permanently, never to revive again.

Likes: Cold borscht, slonina, kabanosy - or just anything to eat, really. Exploring American cities, prayer, helping people in trouble, playing the guitar.
Dislikes: Being called a child, failing at achieving something, staying in one place for too long, atheists.

Can y'all remove the Night Circus from the Team List when the next archive update rolls around? I know I didn't do anything with them, but they were a spur of the moment creation back when I was still making up ideas, and I don't have time to cultivate them into anything serious.

I am still out on my wi-fi but I will be using the local library to pick up posting in the next couple days. Unfortunately I am unable to use Discord from their computers.

So, until I am set up back at my place I will need to use the OOC here to keep up with chatter with the ORs or anyone I have scenes with. Sorry for the inconvenience.

OK, I just skimmed the RP and it seems like the only OR characters who have been active has been Sina, Catarina and Isaac through various side plots. I am going to work on a post which brings us together for another assignment. It will be a slightly altered version of what I pitched in the Discord a couple weeks ago. Only difference is that Vendetta will be in on it. I want to get things moving again for the Outriders to keep everyone's interest and morale up with it.

As for Scott, I will try for a solo post for him soon but it won't be prioritized over the ORs. Daybreaker is on hold and for mine and Seg's scene at the Tower, I think it would be best to finish that in a collab once I get my wi-fi connected again. My post will hopefully be up today but definitely tomorrow. Library only gives me so much time.

And I have posted!

For any OR characters this is a scene where any character can freely speak up and engage. I wanted to involve everyone in the mission prep process to get things rolling again.

I still have a rough hour or so for library time so I am going to get a Scott post in the works. No promises on that being finished today though.

Also, unrelated and thinking out loud. But what about Toxin or Toxic as hero names for Jason?

Extremely Work in Progress

Postby North America Inc » Mon Jan 14, 2019 11:02 pm

Map

Downtown
Image

Downtown/Commercial District
The Commercial District is the bleeding heart of San Diego and the county itself. Full of skyscrapers that house the titans of industries or the lowely start ups, San Diego's commercial district is quickly arising to challenge its sister cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. From Hedge funds, to Venture Capitalist Firms, to Biotech; everything and anything is flocking to the new center of American innovation. While dwarfed in size compared to the Old District, its postmodernist, neofuturistic intentionally emulates many 21st century designers; while cultural exchanges from the extra-galactic community has seen new avant-garde designs in the world of street art and fashion. The tallest building in the city is the One American Plaza, a towering behemoth, has been recently purchased, renovated, and finished earlier this year by Global Commodities Inc., with generous funding by the Guild of Collegiate Investors, this new plaza promises to be the home for economic elite of the city. Like any other Corporate Center, you'll find shopping malls to expensive restaurants, catering to every legal need that you might have.Once you clock for the day, the glistening nightlife takes over; everyday, every week new clubs spawn over the town. Catering to every other need you might have, petty theft and sexual assault has become epidemic in the area as of late.

Image
Balboa Park
Exotic animals and cute boutiques line this rather expansive area. Nestled between Downtown and Residential Midtown, the region serves as of many tourist regions within the County. Encompassing the San Diego Zoo, Museums, and Historic Monuments, its wholesome and natural qualities has made it favorite for romantic dates and family outings.

Image

Residential Midtown
Legally zoned to be apart of Mid-city; in reality its culture and people are much more aligned with the feel of Downtown than the large swathes of suburbia. These highly lucrative apartment skyscrapers and complexes are for the young city dweller, offering the amenities and standards expected of the children of the upper class; while offering the facade of the 'tough urban' life. Providing you a view of the beach, with the safety of WarWolf, what could be better?

Image

National City/Old District

The Former de-Facto Downtown district of San Diego, National City was created and designed during the late 1920s to early 40s incorporating many of the popular architecture designs of the era: art deco, moderne, and usonia. Originally the Global Conglomerate known as Ryan Industries first proposed and contracted to build the modern marvel; while the city of San Diego agreed to reimburse any of the proposed costs. This came to ahead during the onset of the Great Depression with the CIty Council and Ryan Industries fighting over amendments to the contract as funding soon began to dry up.

Laguna Mountain Range. The closest Mountain range to San Diego and divides Mid City from the El Cajon Valley. Although sparsely covered with extravagant homes built on top of hilltops, a vast majority of the natural beauty has been preserved in order to allow some semblance of the wildlife to continue living on as they always have.

Image

El Cajon Valley
El Cajon Valley Middling and stagnant community east of the Laguna Mountains. Originally imagined as a retirement community, it has seen a large uptick of crime with the growth of biker gangs taking advantage of the sprawling desert for their illicit activities. The desert envelopes most of the communities within these districts, and as such most of the towns tend to be small or underdeveloped; while long highways and freeways crisscross through them, a reminder that the state exists solely to be anywhere but here. Water shortages are rampant, with most of state funding going towards establishing some semblance of infrastructure to allow these communities to be sustainable.

The Border
Image

The Border Towns
These predominantly Hispanic communities have grown tremendously in the last thirty years; spurred on by mass immigration after Reagan Amnesty policies went into effect. Primarily low income, most of these small suburban cities tend to range from middle class to outright low income; depending on a variety of factors. However, these cultural enclaves spurred on by low job opportunities and a high young male unemployment rate has allowed for numerous gangs to prop up and rule these streets. Los Sicarios is the most predominant of these, acting as a smuggling racketeering syndicate for various cartels to bring their product within the states.

Updated Renata's app with new costumes, abilities, weaknesses and limitations.

Name: Renata Martínez / Stella
Age: 17
Gender: F
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible):

Young Blood?: Y
Bio: Ah, Ecuador. Land of the equator, home to the Galapagos, the Andes Mountains, large oil reserves and... Renata Martinez.

In the context of the Age of Heroes, Ecuador is quite an interesting subject to talk about, as it is an example of the exact thing many people feared when the first superheroes arose. It saw a homegrown clique of heroes, fighting for what is right, arise just like in any other nation, leading to the formation of the nation's main superhero team, the Andean Condors, but something in that development clicked. Something changed. The Andean Condors were growing popular, famous, hailed as saviors in Ecuador itself and recognized across the whole continent as a competent and effective superhero team, but in their drive to set things right in Ecuador, they turned their sights towards the nation's military junta. A corrupt, cronyist mess, growing rich off the nation's oil reserves, only dragging the development of the country down.

In an unexpected and highly controversial move whose righteousness is still debated today, the Andean Condors took the matters to their own hands and orchestrated a coup of the government, ousting the old dictator, placing a powerless puppet in power and starting to rule Ecuador from the shadows. News of this move flew across the planet at the speed of light, the terrified United Nations began considering an intervention to remove the world's first superhuman dictatorship from power but this motion was eventually dismissed once it became clear that the new government of Ecuador had no designs on their neighbours or the world at large. The organization of the new government was simple - the puppet civilian government handles the domestic matters of the state, though at close Condor supervision to root out any corruption or bureaucratic mess, while the heroes handled foreign policy and the battling with crime.

Years passed, and as it turned out, Condor rule was far better than the old military junta. Sure, it was still a dictatorship, with no representation for the people at large, but it maintained and strengthened stability, swept the nation from supervillains and oversaw an economic boom in the country, establishing Ecuador as one of the most vibrant economies of Latin America. Still the world viewed Ecuador with suspicion. Its membership in MERCOSUR and the OAS was temporarily suspended (later restored), and a few nations continued to decline recognizing the Condor government as a legitimate one.

This was the situation Renata Martinez was born in. And not just as a normal citizen, but as the daughter of Sergio Martinez, alias Silver - the leader of the Andean Condors and thus the de facto dictator of Ecuador. As expected, she inherited his father's superhuman nature, though the power she received was cardinally different - whereas Sergio had the power to liquidify and control metal, Renata was born with a quantum metastable body, absorbing EM radiation to freely emit it later.

Renata was far from your average girl. Extremely energetic, diligent and optimistic, she was almost as if she never learned how to walk - running everywhere, running to do tasks, running back home, running all the time, all with a level of energy and excitement so high and constant that her father even seriously suspected that she might have a nuclear reactor built in her chest somewhere... This diligence and energetic nature translated into ambition. Wouldn't you, having been born as the child of the strongest hero in your country, always surrounded by superheroes and watching their exploits from the sidelines, all while having a superpower of your own, not imagine that you're getting just a little bit left out of the sun? That's what Renata felt.

At the age of 14, after a lot of asking, saying "please" and some simple mind games, Silver finally allowed Renata to apply as a child sidekick for the Andean Condors, which marked an entirely new stage in the girl's life. Now, with the new alias "Laser Girl" and a superhero costume, she was thrusted into the world of superheroing, participating in missions across the country with all of her childhood heroes, her father included. She received basic combat training from her new teammates and was taught some insights into using her powers, too (this period was the time she learned to focus her emitted radiation into lasers and concussive blasts). Regardless, even an idiot could notice that Renata was still in the shadow of everyone else. The Condors usually used her for specific tasks, like melting away locks, instead of having her jump in to save the day with colors blazing. Sure, she was a sidekick, not a full hero, but this didn't fulfill her fantasy and ambition of surpassing her father's fame.

She endured it for three years, but even her patience has limits.

Was she destined to forever stay in the shadow of others? Or was there a way out? Breaking out of this obscurity... All Renata could think of was somehow escaping Ecuador, becoming a full-on hero, finding an another team, where she can hog more of this precious, precious superheroing fame...

You know what she's thinking.

At age 17, Renata asked her father to be transferred to Thomsen High in San Diego, where she can meet other supers like her. He wholeheartedly agreed. A few months before summer vacation, the Ecuadorian superheroine arrived to the United States, settling in with her father's generous dough and a procured scholarship (Renata had never been the absolute best student, seeing as she spent most of her free time with the Condors instead of studying, but the power of being the daughter of a dictator trumps that). And with a new costume, this time to work as a lone superheroine, new alias being Stella.

Maybe here, in the land of the American Dream, she can fulfill all dreams of hers.
Powers:
  • Quantum Metastable Physiology: In quantum physics, metastability refers to the ability of certain types of atoms to stay in an unstable, energetic state, and thus prevent themselves from emitting a photon, for a longer time period than normal. Renata'a body takes this to a whole another level - her entire body is composed of extremely metastable material, able to stay energetic for hours or days. Not only that, but through unknown means, Renata can control the flow of energy absorbed by his body and project it in various ways. So, in a nutshell, she is capable of absorbing and emitting electromagnetic radiation. This can be used in various ways:
    • Laser Projection: Renata can emit narrow condense beams of infrared and visible radiation from her fingers, hands, legs, eyes, whatever, for various tasks, but especially cutting and melting objects. This drains a lot from Renata's radiation storage, however.
    • Plasma Generation: The fourth state of matter, plasma, can be generated from gas or other types of matter by having a powerful electric current or a beam of high energy EM radiation shoot past it - and Renata can do the latter. She can generate plasma for various tasks, but usually limits herself to shooting it as a concussive attack - she has little control over it after it is actually generated, after all.
    • Speed Boost/Jump Boost/Limited Flight: By firing either bursts of plasma, heated air or radiation opposite to the direction of her movement, Renata can increase her running speed or leap to the air for long jumps. Obviously, the longer or higher the jump is - especially if she gets too ambitious and tries to fly by constantly firing backwards - the harder it is to descend without breaking a few bones.
    • Photoelectric Current: Exposure to EM radiation can be used to rip electrons from atoms and thus create a noticeable electric current. Put into use during the fight with Inferno, during which Renata generated enough electricity to allow Blackout stand toe-to-toe with the villain for a while.
    • Electromagnetic Radiation Immunity: As a result of her radiation-absorbing powers, Renata is completely immune to any of its effects, beneficial or not, except in a few special cases (eyesight). This is both good and bad to her. The good news is that she can't get skin cancer or die from gamma rays, nor can she be blinded. The bad news, though, is that her skin cannot produce melatonin and vitamin D, so, first, she cannot tan, and, second, she needs to constantly take vitamin D medication.
  • Condition-Enhancing Suits: Pick one of the two. For a number of reasons, including the Spectrum Gauntlet not being able to fit on a shock absorber, Renata cannot wear both of these suits at once. These are:
    • Stella Suit: Upon Renata's request, her father and the R&D facilities available to him in Ecuador sent her a suit designed to make full use of her high-damage, but also high-risk abilities. The most important innovation which it brings is shock absorbers installed on both of her arms and legs, which allow her limbs to not break from the pressure and knockback generated by her powers, letting her use larger and more powerful blasts as well as employ innovative applications of her powers, such as using heated air to boost her punches to an incredible speeds and thus give her bootleg superhuman strength. Out of the two suits, the Stella Suit arguably wields more raw power, but at the cost of frailty and lesser mobility.
    • Spectrum Gauntlet: After her teammate and friend Scott Green departed from the Young Bloods, Renata inherited his device, the Spectrum Gauntlet, an alien super-weapon designed to be wielded by individuals of great willpower and emotional control. Wielding the Gauntlet, Renata is equipped with a costume of hardened light which grants basic defense against physical attacks, can generate energy constructs at the whim of her imagination, and is able to fly. In addition, it has access to several other emotional modes besides Willpower, each one of them with their own quirks and abilities. Out of the two suits, Spectrum is considerably more versatile, grants greater defense and mobility, but Renata is still unacquainted with all it can do and is unable to wield her own powers to their fullest while using the Gauntlet.

Limitations:
  • Metastability - Size: There is a limit to how much energy Renata can absorb before all of the atoms in her body are energized and thus she hits her limit. Fortunately for her, that number's fairly high, though far from planet-busting.
  • Metastability - Time: Renata's atoms cannot stay energized forever. If they do not release their photons within a few days, that energy will radiate away automatically. This means that she cannot store radiation indefinitely, and has to work with what she can absorb at the moment. In addition, this gives her a permanent, faint glow.
  • Metastability - Wavelength: Following Bohr's postulates, Renata can only emit the same wavelength of EM radiation as she had absorbed, which limits her options. On Earth, X-Rays and Gamma rays, two of the most potent EM waves, are extremely hard to find, so Renata cannot use them, instead relying on most common wavelengths emitted by natural and artificial lighting - Infrared and visible radiation.
  • Stella Suit - Wear and Tear: Renata's shock absorbers have a limit to how much pressure they are able to take before the mechanisms inside them wear down and break. During her first battle while wielding the Stella Suit, the Wonder Foundation battle with the Cabal, Renata, being unaware of this limitation, broke two of her four shock absorbers and had to limit herself for the rest of the fight, lest she breaks her bones next.
  • Spectrum Gauntlet - Battery Life: The Spectrum Gauntlet cannot be spent forever - it has a battery which, if fully spent, leaves the device as nothing but a useless metal glove until it can recharge. The Gauntlet slowly recharges when not in use, but this recovery is not fast enough to have any major impact on her reserves in battle.
  • Spectrum Gauntlet - Physical Frailty: Though each one of the Gauntlet's emotional nodes comes with a hardlight costume which protects the user from basic attacks like punches or kicks, and the user is able to create constructs if necessary, underneath them is still a girl with normal human endurance. This normal endurance also comes into play if she wants to use her metastable powers while wielding Spectrum - it does not save the user from knockback, so if she fires a plasma blast too powerful and breaks her bones, the fault is only on her.
  • Spectrum Gauntlet - Gauntlet Removal: Obviously, if you take the Gauntlet off Renata's hand, she loses all of its powers. In addition, as the Gauntlet can be wielded by anyone who can fit it on their hand or equivalent appendage, it can easily be used against her.

Weaknesses:
  • Darkness: In the light of the sun, Renata can easily replenish herself, but that isn't the case when you throw her into the night, or a dark place. There, she is basically running on fumes, and if her energized atoms run out before the enemy is beaten, she'll have a hard time.
  • Hothead: Renata has a reputation of being extremely quick to the trigger, to the point of a "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality. Which is... not a very good mentality to have for a superhero.
  • Close Combat: Renata's powers are tailored towards ranged fighting and agility - using them to maneuver across the battlefield, avoid enemy attacks and fire back. Which means that she is simply not that good at close combat, especially if there is no place to run or back off. The Spectrum Gauntlet amends this somewhat by granting her some CQC powers such as generating swords and shields, but still, despite that, she could fairly easily be beaten by anyone with a good grasp of hand-to-hand combat.
  • Electric Current: High electric current disrupts Renata's hardlight constructs and turns them into mush, giving potential openings for opponents to exploit.

Name: Makenzie Bishop
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible): https://safebooru.org//samples/2180/sample_cd9dd722bf4af477d43c1402f98c8cec594781a9.jpg?2272240
Young Blood?: Eventually
Bio: Makenzie was born to Jordan and Kaiya Bishop, a team of archeologists and historians of some humble renown. Makenzie lived a normal life until several years ago when her father was killed in a hit and run accident. Makenzie was then approached by an individual she would know from then on as Master. An old monk who explained that her father had not been killed in a hit and run accident after all, but instead was killed by a disciple of a rival school of martial arts. The Old Monk offered to train Makenzie in the arcane arts so she might defend herself from reprisals from others who might seek to attack her for her connection to her father. Makenzie agreed and went with the Old Master to Japan to the Yamabushi School of the Arcane Arts where she learned alongside other students. She was taught mystical forms of martial arts which gave her special powers.

However, eventually she returned to the United States with her training incomplete. She becamed determined to live an ordinary life, and to abandon the questions that brought her to Japan.
Powers:
  • Arcane Shadow Arts: Makenzie is a skilled martial artist, trained in a style which complements her mystic powers. She also has great skill in acrobatics and stealth.
  • Venom Fist: Makenzie can infuse her strikes with mystic energy, capable of paralyzing limbs or a whole body.
  • Smoke Form: Makenzie can temporarily transform into smoke.
  • Ash Clone: Makenzie can create a clone of herself out of hardened ash which is a near perfect replica that looks almost exactly like herself. She can do less convincing replicas of other people.
  • Ninja's Grip Makenzie can stand, climb or otherwise stick to walls, ceilings and objects as if they were the ground.

Limitations:
  • The Venom Fist is less effective the larger the target.
  • The Venom fist's effects last for at most one hour.
  • The Ash Clone is not very durable.
  • Smoke form can be sustained for at most 10 seconds.

Weaknesses (Reasons why someone could kick their ass):
  • Fluid Surface: Makenzie can't stick to water, so she can't walk on water. Also she struggles to stick to surfaces that are wet, and will often slide off.
  • Focus: Elemental Styles such as the ones taught to Makenzie require focus and clarity to function. They have a high fail rate if their user is under too much stress or fear.
  • Smoke in the Wind: Smoke form opens Makenzie up to being moved involuntarily by the wind. If hit by powerful enough wind, she is simply transformed back into her human form.

Faction Name: Yakuza
Faction Location/Territory: Japan, with limited activities overseas that are primarily managed on its behalf by other organisations.
Tech Level: Modern and Post-Modern, although their emphasis of ritual and tradition means that some parts of their organisation and structure haven’t changed significantly in centuries.
Description/Lore: As superhumans emerged in the world at large, Japan - a nation still reeling from its catastrophic defeat in the Second World War at the hands of Liberty - found itself with only a small local superhuman population. A flood of new and often illicit technology flooded into the country to fill this gap, and the Yakuza found themselves propelled to new heights by the trade. Presenting themselves as a traditional, chivalrous organisation which looks after its own and holds no mercy for those who cross it, the Yakuza offered the people of Japan a sense of stability in the chaotic times of the mid-20th Century. Today, the Yakuza occupy a prominent semi-legal status within their homeland of Japan. The stuffed pockets of police and politicians mean that clan leaders and their subordinates are often seen at prominent public events, signing deals with the government or even running for office themselves. Although they are a very Japan-centric organisation, the Yakuza’s operations have expanded along with a globalised criminal underground. In particular, the Yakuza have positioned themselves as the criminal world’s leading supplier of advanced technology from insular Japan, and the Clans maintain close ties with other groups from as far afield as St. Petersburg and San Diego.
Population Size: 112,100
Army Size (If any): N/A
Races that are part of the faction: Human (although there are some limited non-human members)
Additional Info: Although the Yakuza operate internationally, they prefer using other criminal groups as intermediaries abroad. This largely allows them to stay out of turf wars and competition that bring large transnational criminal enterprises into conflict, allowing for the Clans to focus on building up their strength and influence in Japan itself.

Name: Trent Baker
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance:
Image

Young Blood?: No, but he is a proud member of the San Diego Militia.

Bio: Trent Baker was born in London, England to middle-class parents, his father a crane operator and his mother a chiropractor/physiotherapist that specialized in sports-related injuries. He was the second-youngest of four siblings, with two elder brothers and one younger sister. Their family was a close-knit one, and they did everything together. And one of the earliest things they did together? Move to Colorado, in hopes of starting a new future, as London began to overcrowd and prices began to inflate.

Trent was four at the time of moving, but he assimilated into American life quite easily, soon settling into all the favorite TV shows, movies, and music of American kids. However, the rest of his family, especially his siblings, struggled to adapt, and as a result, the family grew to become an even closer unit, relying on two things to get them through the move; family, and sports. Both parents had been athletes in high school, and sports were excellent ways for the siblings to bond, playing games such as football (the European variety of course), cricket, badminton, and especially rugby. Both of Trent's elder brothers played rugby, and, after countless weeks spent playing practice dummy, Trent was eager to join the game. It paid off, as he was a natural pick for rugby, thanks to his agility, strength, and brash confidence. In fact, it carried him all the way to a college scholarship in California.

Despite his college career suffering a stroke of arm-related injuries, he was moderately successful and managed to graduate with an associate's degree in construction technology. After going after a five-year apprenticeship, partly won based on the strength of his references and his associate's degree, he officially became employed as an elevator technician and repairman, a field he continues to work in, albeit being promoted several times. He married around the same time as his apprenticeship ended, as well as gaining a 2-year old stepson in the process. Two years later, his second son was born as well, completing their family as they moved to San Diego, taking up residence near the border between the suburbs and the residential midtown of San Diego.

However, as the years stretched on, crime rates began to increase in the region, only fuelled by warring crime factions, superheroes, and cutbacks on the police force. After several nearby houses were broken into, Trent became desperate, and he signed up for the San Diego Militia, hoping to do his part to keep his family safe and protect his local neighborhoods. While he doesn't agree with every individual in the militia, his fear of crime is enough to keep him there for now, hopefully continuing to protect the public from danger.

Powers:
  • Powers?: Well, Trent doesn't really have powers, but he is far from incapable. As a former college rugby athlete, he is in great shape, taking good care of his body. He's got great muscular endurance, strength, and cardiovascular power, and generally, is in great shape overall when it comes to body composition. No combat training to back it up, but he's got enough raw strength to make up for it. As well, due to his many days spent hunting in his youth, he's proficient with handguns and rifles, and has a license for a small collection in his garage.

Limitations:
  • The Human Body: Trent is only a regular, human guy, and despite his high level of fitness, he has concrete limits he can't break. For reference, in his age, he maxes out on the bench press at 250 lbs, and maxes out on a barbell squat at around 320 lbs. Pretty strong for his age, but nothing superhuman.

  • The Working Life: Trent is a working man with a family, meaning that he can't exactly spend all of his free time out in the field with the Militia. Even when he can get out of the house, he needs to find a crafty excuse to give him an alibi for the evening/night/whenever. And balancing that life can be stressful and difficult.

Weaknesses:
  • Only Human: Despite being a very fit human, Trent is still just a man, and is just as squishy as one. Meaning, he needs to keep himself safe to make sure that he doesn't wreck the lives of the people around him.

  • Naive: As much as he would disagree if you bought this up, Trent is heavily driven by emotions and his desire to protect his family, and as such, can be easily influenced or connived by smooth talkers, especially ones that promise a sense of security and safety.

Likes: Family, sports, rugby sevens, craft beer, barbecue, crosswords, hunting, swimming, and the GOP.
Dislikes: Criminals, Black Lives Matter, wildfires, rom-coms, Italian food, staying still, EDM, NASL, and superheroism.

Additional Information
Birthday: April 30, 1980
Theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mn-FFjIbo8

Greatest fear: Losing his family.

"And you shall be wreathed in a cloak of stars, and they shall know their deliverance has come."
- Book of Duty, 2:12
Faction Name: The Star Knights
Faction Location/Territory: Fortress Worlds, giant armed planets which sail through space.
Tech Level: Extremely advanced, though mostly the Star Priests know it's workings.
Description/Lore: The Star Knights were formed from those who sacrificed their bodies to become pure energy, so they might fight in the name of the Court of Stars forever. The Court of Stars is a collection of psychic energy beings who were created when individuals were propelled into star cores at the speed of light in order to save the universe. These beings are known as Star Gods, and they have saved the universe on many occasion, but their power had withered so they created the Star Knights to serve in their place.

Star Knights hold to different codes depending on their lord and master. Those that serve Rashai the Avenger seek the blood of those who wrong others, while those that serve Torthuul the Justicar seek to uphold justice and law.

The Star Knights went dormant several thousand years ago, but have since begun to re-awaken. They are still not sure why they were put to sleep.
Population Size: Unknown. Many fortress worlds have yet to awaken.
Army Size (If any): Unknown.
Races that are part of the faction: Star Children
Additional Info:

  • Energy Beings: Star Children require no sleep, food or water.
  • Cosmic Powers: Star Children have powers relating to the cosmos.
  • Metal Skin: Star Children have tailormade bodies
