Acquiring cards?

So, if I have read right, the only way to acquire cards is to answer issues.
Does "dismissing" constitute answering?

Otherwise, not sure how I feel about needing to answer what I feel are poor issues as many, to me, break the "fifth wall", or too closely resemble it.

Edit: I am aware of the marketplace. My question is specifically about acquiring packs.

I doubt dismissing issues will give you cards. There's only one way to find out though.
