The government of the Pacific formally informed the Delegate of St Abbaddon today of its intention to nullify the New Pacific Order Protectorate Treaty pursuant to Section III, Article 002. Per the terms of the treaty, protectorate status remains in force for a period of 48 hours from notification. Therefore at 13:48 GMT on 13 January 2019, the New Pacific Order will no longer act as protector for the region St Abbaddon. All NPO associated World Assembly nations, acting in accordance with the Legio, will at that time be ordered to return to the Pacific, endorse both the sitting and incoming Delegate nations, and prepare for a resumption of active military duty. Formal association with the region of St Abbaddon will cease at this point, although friendly relations will remain and Embassies will remain open unless the former protectorate deems it otherwise.
Specific grievances addressed with the Delegate nation of St Abbaddon include repeated and ongoing violation of Section I, Article 003: Both parties hereby mutually agree to seek increased cooperation for the bilateral benefit of the signatory regions.
The New Pacific Order has attempted to work with the Delegate nation of St Abbaddon for an extended period of time to ensure the mutually beneficial growth of the protectorate region, through encouragement to recruit, assistance with internal security, and aid in direction for government formation. To date, the Delegate nation has rebuffed efforts from the New Pacific Order in these regards, especially and primarily in the act of recruitment. After several conversations, taking place over the last several weeks, the Delegate of St Abbaddon has still failed to take appropriate action to ensure the independence and prosperity of their region. The latest violation of this is the appointment of a new Regional Officer yesterday that has been tasked with taking up recruitment when they 'find the time'. The New Pacific Order maintains that the prosperity of a founderless region, any founderless region, rests within the hands of the World Assembly Delegate. As the Delegate of St Abbaddon has been reluctant to take up this duty, he has placed both the continued prosperity and security for St Abbaddon and the Pacific at risk. This is unacceptable.
