St Abbaddon
Embassy, Updates, and News Thread

Introducing the St. Abbaddon Embassy,

St. Abbaddon is a founderless region formed in 2003 by a group of roleplayers. As such an old region, it has formed a unique history and formed an amazing community. Without a founder, St. Abbaddon is in a minority group of regions, one that is at a greater threat of attack. With this vulnerability, St. Abbaddon has some stricter rules regarding endorsements.

We are excited to begin diplomatic discussions with all of NationStates. If you are intereted in joining the region for the government or roleplay, feel free to come by!

If you are referring to our Defense General's, they are less part of the government, and more helpers as we restore.

We won't lessen someones chances of joining our government just because they are also involved in another. They are both dedicated to our region and will make the proper decisions for its success

Who's the guy who publicly speaks on behalf of St. Abbaddon? Is it Hepner, or Draganisia? I'm assuming the former given this thread, but I was curious to make it clear.

I am in charge of media relations in the outer council. Draganisia is the Council Elder for Foreign Affairs in the Supreme Council. I answer to him, however I will be heading most interactions.

Yes this is more or less the most accurate statement about that.

As long as the NPO helps us we in turn may help them but they do not govern us.

To be clear, credit for part of the flag -- the mermaids and trident -- clearly goes to Topid, as evidenced by that image being used on the current flag of St Abby. The first time that flag was used in St Abbaddon was the last time Topid was Delegate there in April 2016, after the region was freed from DEN as a result of the Predator punishment. All you've done is taken Topid's flag and added stars. Let's not pretend it's your original work.

As a matter of fact, do you have Topid's permission for using his flag, or did you just plagiarize it?

The NPO does not govern St Abbaddon. Nations that are in this region’s government that are also in the NPO do so if their own free will, just as countless other nations do around the NS world. I believe it is called cosmopolitanism and many of those complaining are very familiar with the concept.

The NPO's "protectorate" arrangement with St Abbaddon makes this a unique situation in comparison to ordinary cosmopolitanism. This is not to mention that the NPO is supposedly regionalist and opposed to cosmopolitanism, and specifically is supposed to be cautious to guard against exploitation.
