well... the way I see it, as soon as you see signs of this you should wait to see a little of what is going on before making your decision, and if things go start to go south, get the hecc out of Dodge!

The problem is that it can sometimes be very difficult to judge it correctly. There are many cases throughout history of people misjudging when to leave, and getting trapped when borders are closed etc.

I'd entirely expect that Israel would use a nuclear weapon against enemy armored formations and the like in the event that it felt its existence was threatened, for example if the attack was on the same scale as The Yom Kippur War in 1973. To be honest they could even issue an ultimatum to the Arab states, saying that if Arab forces don't withdraw from Israeli territory within 24 hours then an Arab capital will be hit.

It’s pretty sad that you would commit suicide instead of fighting the oppressors. If a fascist dictatorship took power in the US I’m good as dead. Why do I give them the pleasure of knowing that they drove me to kill myself? Why should I do that when I can fight them and make their lives hell.

The USA under President Trump, Brazil under President Bolsonaro and Hungary under Prime Minister Viktor Orbán are not dictatorships, I know what a real dictatorship is.

I was referring to Capitalist dictatorships being worse in general rather than the near future but if want past and current examples there's Erdogan, the House of Saud, Syngman Rhee, Ferdinand Marcos, Jiang Jieshi, Pinochet, amd pretty much the rest of Cold War South America for that matter. And I don't care how many times China claims to be Communist, they are one of the worst examples of Capitalist Totalitarianism after the Sauds and third in flat out Totalitarianism after the Sauds and North Korea. And the existing ones (China, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia) are all countries that Trump loves and wants to emulate so I believe my worry about staying for too long is justified.

There is absolutely no chance of Trump banning emigration. At all. Nor becoming a dictator at all.

The combination of Trump's unpredictability and his threats of emergency powers makes me feel that I still needed to at least ask.

Vietnam is also a state capitalist with combined with free market and political tyranny as well. It is not much different than China, at all.

I believe that while Vietnam was forced to give up socialism due to sanctions from America being a sore loser, China chose to embrace capitalism increase their already absolute control over the working class having only paid lip service to Marx while only caring for the power like the fascists they are. So in short, Vietnam having done this for survival could return to Socialism as soon as their certain that the world won't try to starve them again.

Besides they were not the only ones. Many others who opposed his regime also were forced to flee, not just the far left and far right. He certainly did not respect political freedoms.

Rand Paul supports Trump so I doubt you have anything to worry about. Besides, Libertarians have never been persecuted in America as badly as the Communists (especially us religious ones who don't even have voice in modern politics).
