my cat is the exception!... When it comes to going after birds, climbing on drapes or cars and flapping toilet tissue. She's rarely ever outside anymore anyway.. but even when she was she only would pounce on lizards. Inside , she recently for the first time ever in 14 yrs caught a field mouse and brought it to me.. and she had eaten its butt. :blush:

Wouldn't this problem be partially mitigated if people stopped feeling it was acceptable to just let your cat roam wherever it pleases? I mean, people don't do the same with dogs.

Euthanasia for feral cats is the better solution. Sterilization keeps the population under control but it does fuck all to keep those existing cats from wreaking havoc on wildlife.

Yeah, I can agree with the euthanasia part, and at least it's painless.

If we are going on the route of shooting at cats (no guarantee that they would die peacefully), or drowning kittens, then no. Just... fucking no.

I'll be honest, I am aware most of these are still proposals (at least, I hope they won't be legalised), but my blood is already boiling for the first time on NSG.

Why not use them for scientific experiments? Make there deaths have valid meaning, dying for the benefit of human wellness. However, I imagine the consequences from medication made from cats would cause Nekos to become real.

It would depend on the caliber you use. If you shoot a cat with a .30-30, that's probably going to be a painless death. That said, cats are mostly a problem in areas where people live, which makes shooting at them a bad idea for other reasons.

It probably would be a slight problem, as the .50 BMG round would probably go straight through the cat, straight through aunt Jill's house, straight through work colleague Jack's house, and straight through the row of parked cars before being spent.
