I have seen no evidence to support the existence of any deity, much less a specific one. Also, I find the idea of religion to be little more than wishful thinking. I can’t stop others from doing it, but it just looks silly.
Godulan Puppet #2, RPing as technologically advanced tribal society founded by mongols and vikings (and later with multiple other Asian and Native American cultures) motivated by an intrinsic devotion to the spirit of competition. They'll walk softly, talk softly, and make soothing noises as they stab you in the back and take your stuff... unless you're another Caleshan, whereupon they'll only stab you in the back figuratively!

Used NS stats: Population. That’s it. Anything else not stated in the factbooks is not used.

Intro RP: Gravity Ships and Garden Snips (involved tribes: Plainsrider, Hawkeye, Wavecrasher)
Current RP: A Rock Out of Place (involved tribes: Night Wolf, Deep Kraken, Starwalker)

Possible repetition is never a proof of God existing.

Also, why didn't we, for example, luck into a God that wouldn't leave us on a planet with limited resources or send those he didn't like into eternal suffering?

Or god can, you know, not throw us onto a shithole planet with limited resources and space.

Again, the only reason why we could survive in the first place is through rapid advancement. A universe truly in our favor wouldn't need that. A universe wouldn't need technological advancements just for us to survive past the age of 30 if it was favorable. We think this world is perfect for us humans because this is the only world we know.

So many atheists here are arguing that all the things which existed before the Big Bang had always existed, and therefore weren't created. This is true. The question, however, is whether or not any of those things were sentient. That's the difference between theism and atheism

I believe in God because my church teaches the truth, and because the Bible says God is real. The Bible has always been true.

As for the actual reason that I believe in God, I've seen him heal people when doctors said they couldn't be healed. My existence is the result of God's miracles. Nothing could convince me that God isn't real after what he's done.

I dont believe because i dont see any evidence that such a thing exists, so i would rather spend my time doing other things than worshipping a god as i see it was a waste of time.

This.

The universe doesn't have to have an origin. All notions of "origin" imply a "beginning", which fit our current understanding of time. But to ask what happened before the big bang is as meaningless a question as to ask how apples tasted before apples existed.

THIS is theism. The only difference is that we believe that one of those things that existed before the Big Bang happened to be sentient. I think that THAT's the key between an educated theist and an educated atheist. We can all agree that there was a bunch of stuff that's always existed, the question is whether or not any of them are sentient

I am pretty much agnostic because there is no evidence which proves or disproves a God: one person's proof can very well be another person's fabrication. However, one thing is for sure: if there is a God, he is doing something better with his time, like crocheting, and he does not play a role in world affairs.
