Second Mexican Civil War

The Incident in brief
Angered citizens of Mexico have taken up arms against the increasingly authoritarian Ramon Regime in Mexico. The rebels have banded together to form The Free Government of Mexico, a Voluntaryist based militia that aims to over throw the current regime and drastically shrink the size of the state. Support for the rebels are low as they have committed terrorist attacks against the government and have threatened to do the same to other nations who ally with the current regime.

The government of Mexico has mobilized against the rebels and is ready to destroy them with the help of their allies abroad. Already they have been accused of atrocities in Mexico, angering people.

Objective
If you chose to ally with the rebels, attack government troops and their foreign allies. Allies will assist in training cadets and taking part in guerrilla warfare against the government troops.

Panama Canal, Panama
Rebels

The sniper team crept up the stairs of the abandoned workers quarters. The two man team was part of a larger hit and run team. Washingtonian and New Zealand foreign troops were stationed in the canal zone on a "interest mission". If interest meant plunder and government support. The snipers reached the top level and got to work setting up. The spotter, a young man named Luiz took some time to read. He first read a banned book, Privadoygentism:A Theory For A Better Society. This book is the manifesto for local Voluntaryist ideas. The sniper, a former special forces man named Jose sat next to him

"Are you ready brother?"

He asked him not even shaken. Luiz nodded and continued reading. Jose pulled out his pocket Bible and flipped to Ecclesiastes 12 and read the chapter. Hopefully God would be with them. A voice came over their radio

"We're ready. Take out the snipers first. Once you do that, fall back to your exit points. Good luck"

They positioned themselves where they could get an accurate view. Jose lined up the shot, held his breath and squeezed.

Government
Captain Ruiz was in charge of the Panama Canal Zone security with the foreigners. The gringos may have been outsiders but, were skilled fighters. The rebels made a threat against their allies. He was skeptical of how effective the foreigners were. These rebels were like rats. Can easily hide, make quick attacks and were always growing. The foreigners were not used to Mexico. As he passed a Washingtonian post he happened to look up to the snipers nest. He suddenly saw the snipper grab his throat and fall forward

"SNIPER!"
He cried as they scrambled. A burst of gun fire startled them as a group of trucks charged the gate. The battle screams from the rebels were enough to set one on edge as they charged. They were like angry dogs on a blood hunt. Suddenly, mortars began raining down on the troops. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a group of foreigners get shredded by a shell.

"HOLD THE LINE MEN! DON'T GIVE UP!"

His motivation proved pointless as they kept charging them, hurling grenades and molotov cocktails at them. He saw a few rebels fall from return fire. A second sniper round hit a Mexican sniper.

"HOLD THE LINE!"
He screamed again at the shaken troops.

After what seemed like ages, the rebels left the bruised soldiers. No point in following them, this was their tactic. Following them would be suicide. As Ruiz assessed the damage he passed by a wall. The rebels had vandalized the wall with their clear and explicit message.

"GRINGOS GO HOME!"

The Washingtonian sector of the Panama Canal Zone

Troops of the 111th Airborne Brigade stationed along the Canal Zone have been putting up their temporary shelters for their stay in the region for the period of the crisis. All day and the day before many were busy putting up concertina wire outside the fence that outlines the perimiter of the zone. The entry points saw an increase in security as well with more MPs present and being backed up by a reaction force of a platoon's worth of infantry.

With the arrival of the 106th Cavalry Regiment's M6A2 Charger MBTs, they have been placed at both the entrances and in reserve. The M6 Maxwell IFVs have also been responsible for patroling the perimeter with acompanying infantry support.

Marines already present reinforce fighting positions and create new ones with sandbags and concrete blocks. The entire 2nd Marine Division now stands ready to guard it's position along the canal.

The attack
After a shot rang out from the brush, a Washingtonian soldier standing in one of the sentry posts fell over. With this the troops on patrol and in fighting positions took cover. Then came the mortars, targeted along the entrenched positions of the canal held by the 1st Battalion, 111th Airborne Brigade. During the barrage, a squad belonging to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion was hit directly by a mortar, killing ten all at once.

The assault started shortly afterwards as the rebels came forward from the brush and came right towards the sector. The entrenched troops of 111th, aided by a handful of M6 Maxwells and their own 81mm mortars rained fire on the advancing rebels. From the confined firepower of the M240s, M203s, the Maxwells and the Mortars most of the advancing rebels on the Washingtonian rector were cut to pieces within minutes.

With the rebels in the run artillery from the 155mm howitzers were directed against the retreating rebels as they withdrew.

Ascoobis-Mexico Border

Rebels
Dean Kierkegaard and his team waited for their Ascoobian contact to arrive. This section of the border was under no one's control, hence why this is the prime area to traffic weapons and money. A black SUV pulled up and an older gentleman stepped out. This grandfather was no civie, but a former captain doing an old friend a favor. These two were in a unit back in the first civil war. Kierkegaard shook his hand and the two talked like old friends meeting up. Kierkegaard got down to business

"How much did you bring amigõ?

The captain grinned and lead him over to the trunk where assault rifles, ammunition and explosives were in containers. Kierkegaard gave him 1,000 pesos, the currency of the rebels. Before they departed the old captain asked Kierkegaard

"Dean, when will this end? My country is on edge, they want to destroy you."

He responded with
"Soon if God be willing"

Tenochititlan International Airport
Government
Fresh troops from ATCO and Nieuw Zealand arrived in Terminal 1. Captain Ruiz saw some familiar faces in the ATCO troops back from the first civil war.

"Men. Welcome to Mexico. Some of you I know were here from the first civil war. Sadly this isn't a vacation"

Some of the soldiers laughed at his joke. He continued

"This war is very brutal. Already too many have died on both sides. Men, we need to end this war today and we need your help. You will be assigned to your tasks when you arrivr at barracks. Good luck, all of you"

Just like last time, a barrage of shells greeted the soldiers to Mexico.

The Panama Canal

Nieuw Zealandian soldiers were on high alert. Squads patrolled the borders of their encampment along the side of the Canal. The maintenance buildings that were located on the land by the canal had been converted into barracks and repair stations. The Aircraft Carrier RNZN Pacific was anchored in the canal. It rotated squadrons of F-84 fighters to patrol the skies around the Canal. Two frigates and three patrol craft were also anchored in and just out of the canal. The zone was shared with Washingtonian soldiers, also.

The soldiers had repelled minor attacks from the rebels. They had lost friends, but the presence of half the Navy reassured them. RNZN Northland, the support ship, ferried back and forth between Nieuw Zealandia and the Canal. It brought food, clean water, ammunition, vehicle parts, and replacement personnel. The soldiers were concerned that Campaign Open Season would wipe them out, but so far, it hadn't. They were, however, worried about the attempted terrorist attacks back home, but this just stiffened their resolve.

They would guard this narrow strait of water with their lives, and for their country, and for peace.

Panama Canal Zone
Rebels
The RZNS Pacific was docked just inside the canal zone. Lookouts posted along the canal reported little activity aboard this early in the morning. The leader of this op signaled the dive team, all former underwater demolition teams from the Navy. The five man team swam over to the aircraft carrier, each carrying three C4 demolition charges they had stolen from a base just for this. As they neared they had to watch for snipers, luckily only one was posted. They caught them with their pants and guns down, typical gringos.

Each diver placed their charges along the starboard hull and quickly made their escape back to shore. As they neared shore, a second sniper appeared and looked over the side, he saw nothing suspicious.

After a grueling five minute swim to shore the divers retreated to a waiting truck where they grabbed the detonator and began mentally counting down from 10.

An explosion rocked the RZNS Pacific at 5:00 AM. A giant hole was blasted in the middle of the starboard side all the way up to the top decks. The lower decks began taking on water but, the ship was designed not to sink with this damage. The engines were damaged in the explosion so the ship was unable to steer, much less move at all. Smoke poured out of the hole as sailors streamed out to the outer deck, some with burns and puncture wounds. The leader called in the success to his superiors

"The Pacific is crippled. Heading back home"

Government
A call came in to the Coast Guard base on the canal
"We have a Siera Charlie Priority Alpha. The RZNS Pacific is damaged"
A Siera Charlie meant a crippled ship in serious condition. The team sent a cutter and a rescue helicopter over to the scene. Sure enough the ship was indeed crippled with multiple casualties. The ship captain called for a tug and a fire boat. Within minutes a fire team arrived and extinguished the blaze. Medics and a rescue team boarded the ship to evacuate the wounded. The rescue team descended to the damaged decks to look for any missing personnel. On E deck they heard banging on a shifted door and screaming.

"Is there anybody there?"
A fireman asked in English. He heard multiple "Yes" responses. He shouted back

"Is there anyone injured?"
A sailor responded
"There's twenty men here, almost all of us are injured...There's some dead here"

The team got to work freeing them, first with torches and then with sledge hammers and crow bars. A few hours later they were able to break through and pull the dead and injured out. Their job still was not done as they had to descend even more decks to the impact site.

By nightfall the team reached the impact site, not a soul was moving. The leader of the team called it in

"We're at the impact site. Evidence of a 10-80. Multiple 10-54s here"
Dispatch was silent as they knew that meant dead bodies.

"10-4, can you descend further down?"

"Negative. The captain said the lower decks were storage units. Send in a team to retrieve the sailors"

They were done here.

Nia, Taesrije State, Allyria

Admiral Konstantin Nosdrehdal stepped aboard the flagship of the Allyrian Navy; the Sindlanil Class Battleship RAS Arja Stornárr. Greeted by the Ship's sailors, lined up along the decks saluting their Admiral, Nosdrehdal climbed through the bowels of the Ship to the Bridge, greeted by his Officers.

With the Ship in the bustling Allyrian port city were the Frigates RAS Nia and RAS Marthrije as well as the Destroyers RAS King Sindlanil and RAS Illinalta. Whilst patrols in the Adriatic Sea, usually to assert the supremacy of the Accalail Révine in the area, were routine for Nosdrehdal, today him and his small task group of vessels were assigned Convoy duty. Their task was to escort Cargo Ships of the Allyrian Merchant Marine, carrying surplus Allyrian Military Equipment, from the Allyrian Port of Nia to the Mexican Port of Veracruz.

Lining the Harbour were hundreds of locals, waving to the ships as they left port; heading into the Adriatic Sea.

Strait of Gibraltar, Mediterranean Sea

What the Greeks called "the pillars of Hercules" was all that divided Allyria's Mediterranean ambition from the seas of the Atlantic. Before an Allyrian Fleet, for the first time, lay the choppy, deep blue seas of the Atlantic. Although their mission was simply to protect Allyrian weapon shipments on their way to the Free Government, such an occasion was one of great significance, not only for Admiral Nosdrehdal, but for the Allyrian nation; today would be the day that the first Allyrian Admiral set foot outside of the Home Seas.

Veracruz, Mexico
Following a voyage across a sea which no Allyrian sailor had previously crossed, the convoy arrived in the port of Veracruz. Allyrian sailors in dark blue outfits lined the decks of the ships, saluting out at the city and remaining perfectly disciplined and in-formation even as the ships came in to dock to unload weapons destined for use by the Mexican Free Government.

Just Outside The Panama Canal Zone, Panama

Rebels

"LAY DOWN YOUR WEAPONS! YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO LEAVE! REFUSAL WILL BE SEEN AS AN ACT OF AGGRESSION!"

The Free Government set up a loud speaker and were broadcasting their demands as the Nieuw Zealandian troops were packing up. A gringo happened to turn to a rebel soldier. The young rebel smiled, waived and gave the marine the finger. The marine smirked and returned the finger. Both had to be barely 18, still kids. The Mexican shouted across

"Eh punta, going back to your wife?"
The marine responded
"No mate, not married. All I have is a sheep farm with my parents. Why?"

"Amigo, your wife is on the farm"
The rebel said laughing. The marine processed that and laughed along with the rebel. The Pacific was being towed but some RPG Fire from the rebels hit the tug and the Pacific. Water rushed in to the ship and she started listing until a coast guard team. The marine turned to the still laughing rebel

"We like that ship. We want to fix her up amigo"
The marine shot back
"You'll ruin her by making her into a taco stand!"

Government
Near The Port of Veracruz, Mexica

A shipment of guns had just arrived in Veracruz from overseas. The Navy was scrambled to intercept the ship when it left port in a day. Those aboard would immediately be arrested for illegally entering the country and selling weapons to terrorists.

*One Day Later*
As the ship readied to leave port, patrol boats blocked her escape as Navy Special Forces and Federal Police boarded

"HANDS UP! SEARCH WARRANT!"
Shouted the police as the sailors were completely taken off guard. They had no choice but to comply as guns were pointed in their faces. The captain was found on the bridge and was immediately detained by the police. The crew would be held and tried for aiding the enemy. Upon further investigation, the sailors were from Allyrije. The chief of police called the Allyrije Ministry of Foreign Affairs and left a message

"Good Morning, this is Inspector Cortez from the Mexican Federal Police. We have arrested some of your sailors for selling weapons to terrorists. They have been detained and will be taken to court for the charges."

The Pacific Ocean

The Nieuw Zealandian Intervention Force travelled aboard vessels of the Nieuw Zealandian Navy, back to their home country. The maimed carrier NZS Pacific was tugged along by two frigates. The force was to return back to the newly-declared republic and await confirmation on wether or not it was to return to the Panama Canal Zone.

Opélnárr Magisteré'Révine, Elinhir, Afrije Révine State, Allyria

The Council of National Salvation, Allyria's post-coup Military Government, was gathered in the debating chamber of the House of Parliament. In the centre of the chamber stood a speaking podium, on it was the sigil of the Allyrian Military, behind it was the national flag flanked by the flags of all the branches of the armed forces. The doors of the Debating Chamber swung open and through them marched Royal Marshal Arteron Terai, Allyria's interim head of Government, as the chamber waited for him to address them. The following is a translation of that speech.

He cleared his throat and began, "I am speaking under the pretence that all within this Chamber are currently aware of the events that have transpired around the seas of Mexico over the past several days. I am, of course, referring to the situation in-which the National Government in Mexico has impounded several ships of the Allyrian Merchant Marine and arrested their Crews. We warned against such actions after the Ascoobian threat to intercept our equipment convoys to the Free Government and warned of the response such an action could potentially warrant."

He surveys the room before continuing, "This morning, the Allyrian Foreign Ministry sent a request to the Mexican National Government to release our ships and sailors as well as come to the negotiating table, with other interested ATCO parties, over our weapons shipments. If this request is not met, further actions will need to be taken."

The Royal Marshal turns and exits the chamber in a flurry of applause

This morning, following the defiance of the Allyrian requests for the release of their assets and citizens, a press release was published by the Foreign Ministry

Ministieré Ettije Allyrijth | Foreign Ministry of Allyria
Policy as regarding "The Mexican Situation"

Following incidents regarding attacks on Allyrian shipping the policy as regarding the relationship of material support between the Kingdom of Allyria and the Mexican Free Government has been altered.

Such an alteration has taken quite some time to be considered fully by the Allyrian Government but we would now wish to change our position to that of recognising the legitimacy of the Free Government as the only real Government of Mexico.

In line with this, as well as our requests to the National Mexican Government having been ignored, the Kingdom of Allyria has begun to assemble a joint Franco-Karthspiri Force in Corsica to provide ground, air and naval combat assistance as well as training to the Free Mexican Government.

A joint High Command between France, the Free Government and Allyria has been set up on the island of Haiti with Section Commander Medora Direnni taking overall command of the forces of all nations as well as taking command over their combined land and air power. The French have been granted control over logistics and naval affairs and have yet to nominate someone to do so and the Free Government have been given complete control over the Covert and Guerilla operations of all three nations.

A force of around 80,000 Allyrians has been sent to assemble with a force of 61,000 French troops. From the Allyrians, 5 infantry, 2 armoured and 1 mechanised divisions (each numbering 10,000 men) have been sent. In addition, the new Allyrian Flag Ship, the super carrier RAS King Sindlanil, will be sent to head the Allyrian section of the Naval Task Force.

Veracruz State, Free Mexico
Rebels
A call went out to all Mexican troops including the local citizens militia. Assembled in a large warehouse was around 25,000 former soldiers, police officers and armed civilians. Moise stood up to address his soldiers while his new friends from Europe stood

"Brothers and Sisters. We are at a turning point in this revolution. We are no longer alone in our struggle.."

He motions to Commander Direnni from Allyrije and Commander Laufex from France

"Allyrije and France have sent their best to help in our struggle for freedom. From now on, you listen to them"

Murmuring broke out until Moise shouted

"SILENCE! I will not have anyone disobey their commands on my watch! They will tell you what to do, how to do it and when to do it. Disobey them and you will be punished!"

They knew what he meant by punishment, a beating. Moise was a bear of a man and could inflict pain on the fool that dared disobey.

"Our mission is to free some sailors and raise hell. The commanders will give you your piece of the puzzle for the mission. Any questions?"

None

"Good. Get ready to muster. Hoorah!"

A deafening cry of "HOORAH!" broke out

Port Authority Detention Center, Somewhere in Mexico

Government

"What was your mission? TALK!"
Shouted the officer before punching the captain in the face. Silence. He punched him again and still nothing.

"Fine then. We'll have to drag in one of your privates then"
A young sailor wasdragged in and had a pistol pointed to his head. The captain began panicking at the thought one of his men being harmed

"Captain, if you do not talk, he gets it. Make your choice captain"

A few tense seconds passed as the captain weighed his options. Talk or No talk? Dead sailor or Living sailor? The private shook his head to the captain. The captain shook h his head to the officer who loaded the gun and cocked the hammer.

Veracruz, Veracruz State, Free Mexican State

French Transport vessels continues streaming their way into port after a shorter than expected voyage for the task force from Corsica. Allyrian and French troops marched off the transports, followed by their armour and other equipment. Out at sea, guarding the port, but still visible in the distance were a flotilla of Allyrian and French vessels, this section of the Task Force being under French Command, with the new Allyrian Flagship, RAS King Sindlanil, gleaming in the sun with its aircraft lined up on its deck, preparing for attacks on strategic targets as well as attempts to wrest control of the sky.

Overlooking the city, on a large hill, the head of the Task Force and Supreme Commander of the combined Air and Ground Forces was section Commander Medora Direnni stood beside the Head of the Free Army Jonas Moise. Whilst inspecting a freshly arrived Squad of Allyrian men, the Section Commander began to run through her strategy with the Head of the Free Army, "Mr Moise whilst we do wish you to put your skills as exemplary guerilla fighters and saboteurs to good use I hope you understand that the arrival of the battle-hardened Allyrian Armed Forces as well as the French Armed Forces changes the situation somewhat. Whilst it is not our intention to, as of yet, engage in extensive battles we must begin with much smaller attacks in which your forces will be pivotal in allowing for the success of future strategy. We must ensure that the start of the plans which we have already agreed upon in preliminary talks between our Governments are able to be put into motion as soon as possible."

Moise nodded and smiled somewhat, "From what you are saying Mrs. Direnni, it sounds as though you are asking us to shoulder the vast majority of the burden."

Direnni laughed a little before replying, "I understand what you mean. But please try to understand that we wouldn't have sent 80,000 Allyrians all this way to sit around doing nothing. The time for a fully fledged assault by us will come. For now, just stick to the plans." She smiles before nodding as Moise turns on his heel and makes his way back to the Free Government HQ.

Following the deployment of the Hidalgo Task Force to the frontlines in Mexico as well as the appointment of Allyrian Section Commander Medora Direnni as the head of such a Task Force, small scale skirmishes between the Task Force's Combines Ground Forces and those of the National Government and the forces of their allies. Whilst no casualties have been reported as of yet by the Hidalgo Task Force there have been several Free Government soldiers who've sustained minor injuries.

The French Ministry of War also reported to us that the Naval arm of the Hidalgo Task Force, led by French Chief of Staff Maximillian Laufex, had moved to blockade the shipping of the National Government and their allies from accessing the Panama Canal; stating after such a move that all shipping from nations not actively supporting the National Government would be free to pass through as per usual.

Despite participating in the blockade of the Panama Canal, the Allyrian Flagship RAS King Sindlanil also launched raids on three strategic targets located within National Government territory with strategic attack craft. The stated aims of the three raids were the neutralisation of a Munitions Storage Facility, a Naval Outpost and the Federal Police Precinct located in Altamira. In an earlier, separate, press statement released by His Majesty's Air Force all three raids were confirmed as having achieved their stated roles with minimal collateral damage and no civilian casualties.

The raid on the aforementioned Naval Outpost was of specific importance. Such an outpost was being used for the reverse engineering of assets belonging to the Allyrian Merchant Marine. The destruction of such a facility was of importance to the security of Allyria but also to the integrity of Allyria's shipbuilding industry.

Northern Front, Free Government Territory, Allyrian sector, Mexico

2300 hours

Allyrian soldiers on the front line had been invisible for days. Their faces painted to match their environment and with camouflage to boot, staying back and allowing Free Government forces to inflict days of skirmishing and probing attacks on National Government forces. Although the Allyrian Army was left humiliated after their failure to halt the advances of Red Militias in the early stages of their own civil war, which itself had only recently come to a close, new doctrines developed as well as the training and hardening of new and talented officers allowed them to pull through and force the reds out.

The time had come, now, to test those new doctrines against the outside world. No longer would Allyrian try to out think Allyrian; for the nation was now united against the world. The days of probing attacks launched by the Free Government, whilst weakening the morale of National Forces, had also revealed the weakest points in the line. As the sun started to set earlier that evening, Allyrian troops had undertaken a large series of manoeuvres; massing force in attack plans directed at the weakest points in the defences of the National Government whilst reinforcing the rest of the line with French troops.

As the skirmishes by Free Government troops ceased, on the orders of Commander Direnni, Allyrian LAROM Multiple Launch Rocket Systems began to fill the night air with howls and the starry sky with orange light; a light which collided with National Government lines, leaving only the screams of National Government troops to fill the silence between explosions. The massed Allyrian forces held back, waiting for their next order to come through.

Naval Invasion of Belize
------------------------------
With permission from the Free Army of Mexico, on Thursday, the 16th of March, 2017 the Franko-Italian navy landed elite naval marines at key strategic positions across Belize.
After capturing key ports, towns, supply lines and the likes, they bravely held their positions for hours against the onslaught national forces, until reinforcements arrived the next day.
After landing, each infantry brigade made quick work of the enemy, quickly advancing across the entire east coast and almost reaching the middle of Belize. The fighting has slowly reached a stalemate, and the French troops and general of the front are waiting for the Free Government troops to catch up with them by advancing in the west.
Stay tuned for more updates

Northern Front, Free Government Territory, Allyrian sector, Mexico

0000 hours

After an hour of nothing but explosions and screams of the enemy in the distance opposite Allyrian lines, the Allyrian Artillery fell silent leaving only silence in their wake. Just as the smell of gunpowder and smoke began to clear in the air, an order came out of the radios of Allyrian soldiers, "Adraija kelshehadrí!" or "Advance and take your objectives!"

On the parts of the line which had been judged to be the "weakest" after probing attacks, the silence ended just as quickly as it had began. Along parts of the line, the rumbling of Allyrian Tanks could be heard; overrunning the weaker positions of the National Government's forces, piercing through their lines and overrunning their positions. Following their advance swiftly were infantry units, filling the air with the battle cry "Allharín Allyrije!" as National Government forces along the line either retreated or became trapped and encircled.

As the assault went on, the battle cries of Allyria and the rumbling of Tanks died down with the weaker positions in the line of the National Forces having been overrun with the stronger, better defended points being encircled and left to starve by the Allyrian Army.

Rebels
Northern Front, Free Mexico Territory
The rebel troops began inflicting massive casualties on government troops on the northern front. Commander Moise called over the radio

"KEEP PUSHING! DO NOT SURRENDER!"
His soldiers kept pushing against the government troops into their trap. A call went out to stand down and the shots stopped. Fighter jets rained hellfire onto the government troops as their panicked screams filled the air. When the bombing run ended, Moise shouted

"THEY ARE WEAK! WE MUST FINISH THEM!HOORAH!"
A deafening shout filled the night as the rebels and Allyrije forces readied to cut down the government forces

Punta Gorda, Belize Front
French troops walked up the beaches into town. The Free Government troops had beat the French to this particular settlement. The local commander told the arriving French commander

"You gents are a bit late. We were about to start up the beach party."

The Belize front command met in a commandered hotel just off the beach as French equipment and troops kept arriving.

"Gentlemen, the Toledo Province is nearly in our hands. The government doesn't bother with this area. Once we capture Toledo a division will head North and assist in taking the rest of Belize while the rest will hold and get ready to push South into Guatemala"

Government
Tenochitlan,Mexico
"WE ARE LOSING ON EVERY FRONT!" Ramon shouted as he slammed his hand on the table. He was in a meeting witj his top advisors. To his right was his most loyal general,
General Raul Noriega. General Noriega checked his cellphone, he received a text that he had to answer a call.

"Will you execuse me gents. I need to take a call"
He left the boardroom, leaving his briefcase behind. He took the stairs to the bottom floor and entered the men's room where he pulled out his cellphone and dialed the number in the text. A few seconds later, an explosion shook the building from the boardroom. General Noriega put his cellphone away and slipped outside in the growing panic. President Ramon may have been his friend but, he was a despot that had to be eliminated for peace to ensure. They tried negotiations but, you can't negotiate with terrorists as they say.

Belize supply line secured
--------------------------------
A week ago, all across the Gulf of Mexico you could hear the sound of steaming French warships moving through the waters. Their mission was to move torwards the part of the Mexican Gulf coast that is occupied by government forces, and then afterwards to surround that area and begin a blockade.
The reason for this mission is to secure the French plan for a supply line from Belize to the northern front, which would have to go through the Gulf of Mexico and end at Port Veracruz.
The French Logistics Command (FLC) calculated that this supply line would be 5 to 8 times faster then a supply line through the diverse jungles and mountains of mainland Mexico. It would also not just be a faster distance to supply the northern front, but also a much shorter distance.
After securing the blockade, enemy ships could no longer interfere with shipping through the Gulf of Mexico. Today, the FLC calculated that we have 95% Naval Superiority over the Gulf of Mexico, meaning after the blockade, interference with shipping through the region is little, if any at all.
Food, Weapons, Soldiers, and other resources are pouring into Veracruz and the Northern Front is now even more in our favor.

Operation Paris
--------------------
The French army has been given control of the south west part of the Northern Front, in preparation for "Operation Paris". Maximillian Laufex himself is taking command of the operation.
The rest of the information is kept classified by the government.

Kal'Nythalli, Allyrian Forward Command, Northern Front, Free Mexico
0200 hours

A sparsely decorated room holding only a large table, around which were several seats for the highest ranking Allyrian Officers with only a handful of flags to decorate the bare walls. Around the table were gathered a handful of Officers with the table headed by General Medora Direnni; head of the Task Force and the Commander of the Task Force's ground troops. Glasses began to clang as the Officers began to toast their recent successes.

"Tál venrelli'nil!" Toasted the young General, a broad smile defining her face.

"Verrali hain tolothtólli Kilometri Sevérl," added another senior Officer, laughing heartily.

The General then began in English

"Gentlemen, whilst we have demonstrated the capability of our new Army in the early hours of this morning, we must remember that whilst this is a fight we are winning that we must not let such great victories go to our heads. This conflict is far from over and I have a sneaking suspicion that, whilst the Ramon regime is indeed on its knees, that it still has several cards left to play," still smiling but with a look of concern beginning to pain her expression. Whilst she was indeed a capable Officer, her experience in the civil war had shown her just how quickly and positive situation could deteriorate.

Later that day, and after extensive planning with Mexican Officers, Allyrian troops began to assemble alongside their Mexican comrades-at-arms.

Outskirts of Tenōchtitlan, Free Mexico

Allyrian soldiers and armour pressed forward following the attack early in the morning. Having routed the forces along the Nationalist line, the momentum of their attack had been carried forward not only through their efforts but also through those of their Mexican allies. As troops began to move into their formation around the city, alongside Mexican allies, Allyrian Officers began to inspect them. Unexpectedly, after a long night of planning and drinking, the figure of General Medora Direnni could be seen as coming out of one of the TAR-3s moving towards the already gathered troops.

Jumping out of the Tank, and joining the inspection, the General found herself recieving looks of astoundment from her troops; dressed in the same combat armour as them with an Officers' Sabre strapped to her side and a NAT1 Rifle slung over her shoulder she began to talk in English. "I'm sure most of you have heard the stories from the Civil War. Although nowadays it is common for Generals to sit back as their troops do the fighting, I have always found it better to lead and command from the front. So, today, I'll be joining you on the front where every Allyrian will do their part to bring liberty to the people of Mexico!"

She continued her speech in Allyrian, rousing the soldiers for battle.

Tenochitlan, Mexica
The captain received a text from the spy network
"Ramon Dead. Repeat Ramon Dead. Ready the armed civilians in city and be ready to rush the capital by sunrise. City on lockdown but the weak point is on Highway 1."

She turned to the assembled force of civilian militias and soldiers

"HE IS DEAD! VIVA LA MEXICO!"
A cheer went up from the soldiers. She raised her hand for silence

"Cheer later soldiers! We have to seize this capital. We will have one hour of shelling followed by division one storming in through Highway 1. Division two will take Hidalgo Memorial Bridge and sweep East to Revolution Square. Set up an artillery team there and shell the parliament building. Division three is all the civilians in city, they have their targets. Let's get this done and dusted"

*One hour before sunrise*
The artillery teams began firing mortars into the city as the third division began attacking their targets. Small fires could be seen in the city as the shells destroyed their targets. The remaining divisions stared down at the city from the hills. Some praying, some talking and yet others completely silent. They were so close to freeing their nation.

--------------------------------------------------------------
Today, after many weeks of getting ready, the massive French attacking force in the region have been given orders to start Operation Paris. The attack itself is led by commander Maximillian Laufex, and consists of some of Franko-Italy's most elite military divisions.
The preparation time was so much faster then expected that it completely caught the Government forces off guard; Causing it to be currently heavily in our favor.

The operation has just started, so we dont have much to report, but stay tuned!
Because this, this will be huge...

"Now as you know Head Director, we've been monitoring the situation in Mexico for some time. After conferring with our Defense Minister, I believe that it is time to strike against the Ramon government. They are retreating on all fronts, and with the French having secured their own supply lines in the Gulf of Mexico, the rebels will only be pushing further. If we start arming them now, we might be able to push some political influence onto them." said the Economic Director, Alan Rhys, "But we need to act now before anything unforeseen happens. The rebels are planning to assault the capital as we speak."

Defense Director Sławomir Zhylkha pointed his pen at the Economic Director, "That may be so Comrade, but the fact of the matter is the military is not 100% ready to carry out any foreign ground operations. We have no place to fly in planes to, and the Ramon government still has the capability to attack and seriously damage any warships that stray to close to the coast. The most our forces could do would be to send in small groups of our special forces to gather intel and take out high profile targets."

Aukip sat back in his chair and twiddled his fingers. It was moments like these that he became Head Director for, and it racked his brain. After a moment of concentration, he answered.

"What would be the international fallout if we inserted say... a platoon of the Czerwoni Komandos, Jose?", he sat up & sipped his coffee, "Surely the Europeans won't care one way or another, but what about Ascoobis? Washington? Cerma?"

"It's a tricky thing to definitively be sure of, to say the least," said Jose Cabrera, the Foreign Affairs Director, "Washington might gripe but I doubt they'd do anything considering their distance. Ascoobis seems to be playing a pragmatic game here, likely trying to benefit from whoever wins this conflict. Everything about them, including their own constitution is extremely vague about intervention. I would bet that unless they are payed a king's ransom by someone they'll stay out of it all. Cerma is my only worry, they are profusely anti-leftist, and might take offense to it. Again, I highly doubt they would intervene though."

"How soon can you get 3 Destroyers supplied and ready for a trip to Veracruz, Director Zhylkha?" asked Aukip after another dramatic pause.

"With fuel, ammunition, food, and everything else, I give it a week at most. It would take 12 days to get there." he replied.

"Well gather all the necessary crew then, tell the captains to have a port of call in Veracruz. Alan I want you to have a Cargo Ship ready to be loaded with guns, grenades, and ammunition and have it rendezvous with our task force before they head out. Let's get the ball rolling, time is of the essence!"
