One of a Kind

Postby Wopruthien » Fri Jan 04, 2019 6:52 am

"The fear I see when I look in your eyes, makes you believe I'm One of a Kind"

Couldn't resist. Bonus points if you get the reference.

I'm looking for a card that is currently only one in existence/circulation, doesn't matter the rarity (it's likely to be a common). The rarest card I have been able to find has two in circulation at present.

Has anyone got a card that there is only one in circulation? Would they be willing to sell/Share details?

Yes, it's probably my favorite collection.

From what I've seen, one of a kind cards are always common ex-nations cards and the nation still doesn't exist. It should be impossible to pull these cards from decks (apparently it's not impossible, but seems to be extremely improbable).

Other rarities could exist, but people seem to keep stuff rarer than common so higher rarities are unlikely.

The best way to find one is to keep an eye out for obvious bank transfer sales (commons for a lot of money). Using a 1 owner card for that ensures no one undercuts the sale and steals money, so it's the safest bank transfer method. Because they are rare and useful, be prepared to get into a bidding war with the owner if you really want a card. :p

You can also try to collect all the copies of low owner cards and then junk all but one too. Same idea.

Now that's an fantastic collection. Wasn't expecting so many.

I assumed they'd all be ex-nation common cards around 100 ish population but there is a couple over that figure. Nations that logged on once and disappeared. Only likely to increase in value when Season 2 comes out and these cards can no longer be drawn.

The low owner cards and junking option I had considered, and was going to be my next route if I couldn't find any 1 owner circulation cards.

Why junk them? If you own all 4 copies of a card you have 4 top-mules.

Good spot!

Wonder if there is a rare or ultra rare version out there.

What I did is make a thread asking people for cards with 3 or less owners. I've gotten offered almost two dozen 3 owner cards, about 8 2 owner cards, and two single owners.

Note that "Owners" only lists active nations, and when you CTE, your deck isn't instantly destroyed. So it's possible that a nation is revived holding copies of what was previously a one-of-a-kind card.
