"Ah. Of course. After such a large, fight its only natural to be low on mana. Is there anything I can help you with? After all, we need all our members in top condition. We soon plan to mobilize, once our little operative group in Dacryn have returned." Jakob's eyes were warm, welcoming. He was clearly trying to make himself seem as friendly as possible, a persona reserved for new recruits. With Azami's cautious pretenses, Jakob had to do all he could to ease her nerve. He smiled calmly. Azami could be a powerful ally... of course, she could become a dangerous enemy, should she decide to ally with the emperor...

Caimus

"Yes. Seeing as you mainly specialize in fire magic, and not a very subtle sort of it, you will receive training in broader aspects of elemental magic. As it is impossible to teach you esoteric magic, we will focus mainly on that form. As for when your training will begin... hard to say. I'm currently out of commision, and thus I can't train you at the moment. Likely within a week, at most." Caimus pushed himself further up the wall. "One more thing. Before you make your decision... being a part of the Black Phoenix is a lonely existence. It requires you to essentially cut ties with any and all who knew you before you joined. Obscure your past. Dedicate your life to the empire, until the day you die. Once you join us, there is no turning back." His gaze was serious. "Would you give up what could be a normal life, well, as normal as the life of a Phoenix Knight can be... to dedicate yourself to a cause that cares not for the lives of its members?" The other Black Phoenix members stood solemnly as he spoke. All of them knew the cost of the life they followed. "So... what say you?"

Freedom's Call
Azami

"To help me?" Azami looked up as she thought to herself, How do I put this without seeming threatening? I guess I really can't. She looked back down at Jakob, "My mana regeneration is naturally slow, it's the fundamental issue with my magic. I replenish my magic and health by draining the life of people and creature." As she said that her voice quieted and she dropped her gaze to the ground seemingly in sorrow.

Jakob

"Ah. I see. I believe I can assist if you would follow me." He guided her to a random doorway. Together, they stepped through, only to find themselves in the room they had just come from, though the lights and colors were dimmed, almost extinguished. The environment would almost be black and white. "Welcome to... my world. A gateway, an empty space, a passage to other worlds. We are not the only universe to exist. Hundreds of thousands of parallel timelines are present alongside us, and this world is the passageway in which I can access them all." He turned to Azami. "And from here, I can summon... visitors from those different timelines." He waved his hand and the air flickered, and a second Jakob appeared alongside him. However, he was different. His eyes were brown, and his hair was far shorter. He wore no ponytail, and his hair was combed to the side. He also wore a rather scruffy beard. "This is how you will regain your strength."

Legion stood there taking a deep breath, identifying all the smells. Legion looked in the direction of the emperor estate then in another direction “where do they hide the good tasting one” he began climbing the nearby wall reaching the roof “where to go” he sniffs the air

Matt nods before a look of confusion creeps onto his face,”You mean one of the noble houses?” Before Memphis could answer he spoke again, “You know someone in one of the noble families? You must be either wealthy or strong!” Matt spoke like a child filled with awe at the construct of magic that stood in front of him. “I would have never expected to run into someone like you… literally!” he let out an embarrassed chuckle, “I look forward to traveling and training with you...Uhh, what was your name?”

The Emperor

Noburo nodded. "Well I guess that settles it then. I'll see you all when we catch these criminals." The Emperor stood and thanked everyone for attending the conference. The Phoenix Knights that were stationed around the conference room escorted the nobles out, and more began moving across the city to protect the nobles to make sure no assassinations took place.

Esquoria Delegates

Alexander and Luther Esquoria both exited the conference room in the minutes following the meeting's conclusion. While they were walking towards their carriages, Alexander was reading the letter that one of the Knights had given him. As they went into the carriage, Alexander informed Luther of its contents. "Apparently a Phoenix Knight from the Silenor House, or what's left of it anyway, has requested to see us."

Luther was surprised. "A surviving member of the Silenor house has willingly expressed their desire to meet with us? This is a rather interesting development."

"And that's not all. She has also inherited her family's Bloodline Magic, which literally revolves around the manipulation of actual blood." Alexander replied.

"Hmm. I think she would be a great addition to us."

"I agree. That's why I will ask the scribes to send a letter out to her. We will see what she can offer us. However, I'm not sure how the other houses will react to a Silenor."

"They will have to get over it. If we want to catch the Etira, then we need all the allies we can get."

The Esquoria faction arrived back at their estate, where Alexander ordered a servant to pen a letter out to Alune Silenor.

Adelina's heart sank. Being a Black Phoenix meant that she would no longer be involved with Luther Esquoria, or anyone else she cared for. If she died during a battle with the Etira, then the Black Phoenix would simply move on and find another person to join their ranks. Adelina sat there in silence for a long time, before looking at Caimus. With a soft, but firm voice, she said, "I will join the Black Phoenix."

The Cheristi Family

Elakashi and her father arrived in Kalingway after a short journey from Eravil. They were summoned to the capital after the Emperor personally ordered them here. Several Interior Guardsmen were escorting the Cheristi family as they stopped before the city gates. The Phoenix Knights at the gates noticed the IGs who were waiting outside, and immediately bowed and let them into the city. The Interior Guard wore drastically different clothing than the Knights. While the Knights wore vibrant red and gold, the Guards wore blue and black, and had a symbol of a sword and shield on their capes. Elakashi ignored the stares from both the citizens and the Knights and looked at her father. "I wonder where they'll station us next." She said as she activated the Mind Awakening Seal in her eye.

"Probably around the front lines. Any captured Etira members or even sympathizers for that matter, would give us a lot of information. And with our Mind Manipulation Magic, we should be able to find information quickly."

"And speaking of information, you may want to check out that guy across the street."

Elakashi's father looked perplexed, before he activated his own Mind Awakening Seal. His eye caught what Elakashi was talking about. A man wearing dark colors was reading a newspaper rather...intensely. But that wasn't what caught Elakashi's attention. It was his aura. Although it was heavily suppressed, Elakashi was able to see that the man had an aura unlike any of the other mages she's been around. "You think he's an Esoteric, Elakashi?"

"Maybe. That energy he's giving off is also slightly malicious." With her eye, Elakashi remembered everything about the strange man she saw, from the aura to even the creases in his clothes. She could memorize the appearance of anything she saw, and keeping track of this man would be important. "We need to keep an eye on him."

Kiyonari

Kiyonari had recently teleported to Kalingway after Jade resurrected Baesu Sayuga. He had been sitting at a table of a market reading a newspaper of events that had taken place. While they all differed in what was reported, they still had the same frontpage: Etira Strikes Again. While word of their escapade in the Dacryn catacombs had not reached anyone, Kiyonari still preferred to be aware of what was happening. And it was during this time that he noticed Interior Guardsmen entering the city. He was surprised, since he rarely saw the secret police of the empire show themselves in public. Even the Phoenix Knights seemed intimidated by the IGs. So the Emperor summoned his personal guard, huh? But it's far too late for anything to be done now. Kiyonari and Jade had a telepathic link with each other (which was one of House Cheristi's most well known forms of magic). Using the Mind Link, he informed Jade of what he saw.

Etira Base

Jade was visibly exhausted after the resurrection. The technique took a lot of magical power to perform, but with an archmage like Baesu Sayuga, she had to spend even more power than normal. She gulped down the magic restoration pill Kiyonari gave her before she left, and turned towards Cross. "You are correct, Cross. Word of our mission has spread all across the empire-" Jade was interrupted when she heard a voice, before she recognized that it was Kiyonari. "It appears that the Interior Guard has been summoned. I haven't gotten too much information, but I do believe that the Empire has been making moves to catch us. Be careful.".

Jade's magic was nearly depleted but she still had enough to communicate with Kiyonari. "I should be saying the same to you. Don't make any dumb choices that would get you interrogated."

When Jade was finished communicating with Kiyonari, she decided to see exactly what Baesu Sayuga was capable of. "Everyone, keep your guard up. I will allow Baesu to act on his own free will, but if he does anything drastic, it will take a few seconds for me to place him under Level Three control."

Baesu Sayuga slowly stood up and looked around. He seemed dazed. However, he quickly recovered and was now on high alert. With a deep, annoyed voice, he asked "What is this?"

"You've been summoned to...correct our society." Jade replied nonchalantly

Baesu Sayuga eyed each of the Etira members with suspicion. "Do you mind explaining more? How am I here, and what are you talking about when you say "correct our society?"

"I'm saying that the democratic government you and the other Archmages of your time created, has now been replaced with a totalitarian monarchy, ruled with an iron fist by a descendant of Dyfores Allegrodo." Jade began breathing heavily. The resurrection took more of a toll on her than she expected. "I'll allow the others to fill you in."

Cross

Cross rushed to her side "careful friend, please sit and relax" he pulled his coffin over and had jade sit on it "you have been summoned to clean the corruption that has taken over the government you first made" his voice changed "we need your help, we are not strong enough to take down their mages, we are planning to bring back your battle brothers"

Legion

legion sensed new prey, stronger than the rest "they may become a problem to father" he started to become hungry and looked down from the rooftop he was sitting on top of. he used the sending stone to contact Rasputin and Thanatos "stronger knights, permission to exterminate"

Azeal

the moment fey pulled him back to his house "send our elite mages to kilingway, they will be training some of the knights and patrolling the zone in addition with the emperors elite" he took off his coat and gloves tossing them to the side

Thanatos

he nodded "we will begin training in a few seconds, our first target will be kilingway, I already have an operative there." he crossed his arms behind his back and talked to legion over a sending stone "have fun and have Rasputin pull you out if it gets too dangerous." he looked at the men in front of him "so you need to decide now if your ready to fight in what you believe in"

Izayoi

During the meeting Izayoi learned of the assumed plans of the Etria, actions needed to be taken, but the Ayazato house's head had previous engagements that he needed to take care of. Izayoi was asked to train one of the younger Phoenix Knights in tactical combat and strategy, Izayoi saw the plan to guard the tombs of the elites as a great way to give the young knight some "On-the-field" guidance. He walked through the town having escaped the escort the Emperor assigned each noble, on his way back to the Ayazato household.

Kishi

Kishi ate the meal he was provided, he enjoyed it greatly and even left a tip for the innkeeper and his you assistant. Kishi returned to his room soon after that and sat down on his bed. He contemplated going to sleep but he withheld, he knew that if he fell asleep he wouldn't be able to suppress his aura. He didn't want to draw attention to himself so he sat on the bed and did nothing, until he drifted off into sleep against his will. the moment he fell asleep his Imposing Aura was unleashed and everyone in the building felt a unnatural fear that they couldn't figure out.

Another Jakob had walked into the room, Azami was shocked at the ability that Jakob wielded. She looked at him her eye's wide, "Wait, you mean for me to consume the residents of a parallel world?" she was confused and reluctant, not knowing if this was some sort of test. She looked like she didn't want to consume the alternate Jakob but her magic displayed the truth, Around her hands a red aura lit up like a flame and her eyes did the same.

Legion smiled as Thanatos turned off his stone. he looked at the prey below and silently climbed down, just right behind the guard. he pulled his knife out deciding if he should play around with his prey or make it quick and hunt for the next one, but maybe he could instill fear into the others. he quickly but silently approached the guard keeping his knife hidden "ill just devour them all" he whispered soon within range for the kill "but for no ill play" he soon stabbed the guard in the side away from the vital organs, thanks to Irina he knows how to keep one alive but make them suffer. he pulled the blade out in just a way to cause the most pain and bleeding. the guard let out a scream of agony as everyone near looked in their direction some of them running away afraid, the guard stumbled in agony holding the side where he was just stabbed out. Legion laughed as he backed up to pull his mask up just a little to lick the bald clean, soon learning what the mage is capable of, then he pulled the mask back down and waited for the mage to stand properly. the mage looked at Legion "damn you, ill incinerate you for this" the mage got his composer and snapped his fingers sending forth a bolt fire, but for Legion to only dodge it. soon a mirrored double of Legion stood next to him and they ran at the mage, the mage snapped his fingers sending another bolt, but it was too late they both made it to him and stabbed him in the arms as the mage let out another scream. Legion ensuring the mage suffered from each stab. Legion smelled the blood in the air, his beastly desire getting stronger as he wanted to kill. soon a crowd started to gather all them screaming at the fight. Legion only laughed at that cause this meant more food. mage got worried, not for his life but the people who were starting to gather, he started to say something, but out of nowhere Legions second double came and punched him in the throat, causing the man to cough hard. the mage was unable to speak now, unable to scream or do anything. Legion finished him off swiftly, people ran other were shocked and frozen with fear as Legion transformed along with his mimics, he soon attacked the people causing mayhem as people ran and screamed from the beast cause if they were caught he would devour them right then and there. it quickly turned into a massacre as Legion rampaged.

As Elakashi and her father were riding through the streets of the capital, they heard screams and saw countless people running. "Guess we're just in time", Elakashi said as she jumped out of the carriage. "I'll be back father. Give me a few minutes to take care of this disturbance."

Elakashi used her Wind Magic to drastically increase her speed as she sprinted in the direction she believed the carnage was coming from. Suddenly, Elakashi heard an inhuman screech. It wasn't long until her eye caught the cause of all the chaos. A giant beast with elongated claws was slicing through the innocent civilians as they desperately attempted to escape. In all my years as an Interior Guard, I've never witnessed hell like this, Elakashi thought as she prepared for battle. She raised her arms and swiftly moved them to the side of her, resulting in the people in the beast's path suddenly being lifted in the air and landing behind Elakashi. She used her Wind Magic again to manipulate the air to strike the beast. "You are fighting me now."

Kiyonari had just finished relaying some information back to Jade when he felt a gust of wind, knocking the newspaper out of his hands. He looked up, and saw that an Interior Guardsmen was flying. That was when reality kicked in. Kiyonari noticed screams and smelled blood in the air. What is going on? he thought as he got out his chair and walked unto the street. Phoenix Knights and the IGs were attempting to evacuate the citizens of the district, cutting off access to a certain part of Kalingway in the process. With no way to get see what was causing all the pandemonium, Kiyonari ran back to the market and quickly put his hand on the wall, creating a portal. Kiyonari fell into it and appeared on the top of a building. He looked down, and saw a devilish being that wasn't of this world. Right in front of it, was a woman with short black hair pointing at the beast. As Kiyonari took in the situation, he also noticed that the woman looked strikingly similar to Jade, except this mage had white hair. He saw the symbol for House Cheristi on her uniform, which was an eye overlooking a planet. Kiyonari sat down and watched the events unfold. He genuinely wanted to help her (his position over the beast would allow for a sneak attack with a portal), but doing so would be bound to gain attention to himself. If anything goes wrong, I'll step in and leave as soon as I arrived.

Asteria Sarranie

Asteria was devouring food at a tavern near the Imperial Palace. She had not eaten for 3 hours, which was an incredibly long time for her. She didn't have a consistent source of income due the fact that she was jobless. Asteria didn't join the Phoenix Knights right after graduating from the academy in Aesyerus, and instead accepted random jobs wherever she could find one. She recently earned enough money to not only indulge herself in the exotic food the capital offered, but she could also spend the next few days at a comfortable inn that normally would be far outside her budget. Asteria finished the 6 plates of food and bought 3 more to take with her as she left the tavern. She walked towards the inn and entered, and was overcame with a feeling of fear. Asteria's mind raced as she thought about what could be the issue. Did she not buy enough food? Did she have the money to stay in one the rooms? There was nothing that would cause her to be feeling so much dread, so what was the issue? A panic attack? Asteria walked away and collapsed on the road in front of the inn, breathing heavily. Something was wrong, but she didn't quite know what was going on.

Jade's head was spinning. Cross had brought over a coffin and had her sit on it. "Thanks," she muttered. Baesu Sayuga looked at Jade with concern for a moment before directing his full attention on Cross. "Bring back my battle brothers?" Baesu's memories of the Unification Wars came back as soon as those words were uttered. "Yucella and Dyfores are being revived, huh? And the purpose of this is to end corruption through what I assume to be a coup?" Baesu thought about this for a moment, before saying "If you needed to resurrect the founders of this nation, then you must be up against very skilled archmages. I'll entertain this for a little while."

The beast roared at her and shattered as if it was made of glass, but there was still screaming coming from the district over not to far. Legions doubles all able to take his two different forms when needed made for causing mayhem all the more easier. Doctor Irina was sent to overwatch Legion just in case he got into to much trouble or way out of control.

Irina was walking down the very street Asteria was on. She saw the poor girl collapse and giggled a little before rushing over “Hey are you ok” she made sure she sounded worried for the girls health “I can heal you if need be”

Cross

Cross did what he could to help jade “please be ok” he looked at baesu “he has the strongest mages ever under his finger tips, he will not give up his thron with out a fight” he looked back toward jade worried for his new friend “we need you and them to get this victory and to protect everyone else”

Phoenix Knights and the IGs were attempting to evacuate the citizens of the district, cutting off access to a certain part of Kalingway in the process. With no way to get see what was causing all the pandemonium, Kiyonari ran back to the market and quickly put his hand on the wall, creating a portal. Kiyonari fell into it and appeared on the top of a building. He looked down, and saw a devilish being that wasn't of this world. Right in front of it, was a woman with short black hair pointing at the beast. As Kiyonari took in the situation, he also noticed that the woman looked strikingly similar to Jade, except this mage had white hair. He saw the symbol for House Cheristi on her uniform, which was an eye overlooking a planet. Kiyonari sat down and watched the events unfold. He genuinely wanted to help her (his position over the beast would allow for a sneak attack with a portal), but doing so would be bound to gain attention to himself. If anything goes wrong, I'll step in and leave as soon as I arrived.

Asteria Sarranie

Asteria was devouring food at a tavern near the Imperial Palace. She had not eaten for 3 hours, which was an incredibly long time for her. She didn't have a consistent source of income due the fact that she was jobless. Asteria didn't join the Phoenix Knights right after graduating from the academy in Aesyerus, and instead accepted random jobs wherever she could find one. She recently earned enough money to not only indulge herself in the exotic food the capital offered, but she could also spend the next few days at a comfortable inn that normally would be far outside her budget. Asteria finished the 6 plates of food and bought 3 more to take with her as she left the tavern. She walked towards the inn and entered, and was overcame with a feeling of fear. Asteria's mind raced as she thought about what could be the issue. Did she not buy enough food? Did she have the money to stay in one the rooms? There was nothing that would cause her to be feeling so much dread, so what was the issue? A panic attack? Asteria walked away and collapsed on the road in front of the inn, breathing heavily. Something was wrong, but she didn't quite know what was going on.

Etira Base

Jade's head was spinning. Cross had brought over a coffin and had her sit on it. "Thanks," she muttered. Baesu Sayuga looked at Jade with concern for a moment before directing his full attention on Cross. "Bring back my battle brothers?" Baesu's memories of the Unification Wars came back as soon as those words were uttered. "Yucella and Dyfores are being revived, huh? And the purpose of this is to end corruption through what I assume to be a coup?" Baesu thought about this for a moment, before saying "If you needed to resurrect the founders of this nation, then you must be up against very skilled archmages. I'll entertain this for a little while."

Kishi, having been sleeping sitting up began to fall to his side. Upon making contact with the bed he awoke. He realized that his aura was apparent and he immediately hid it and gathered his things. He began quickly walking out of the Inn avoiding meeting anyone's gaze as he left. He saw a girl lying on the ground having a sort of panic attack, and someone else standing over her. He walked over to her and kneeled next to the woman, "I'm sorry this is my fault, I shouldn't have fallen asleep." his face was hidden behind his mask but his voice was sincere. "You should be fine in a second or two," he stood up and reached for his mask took it off revealing himself as the stranger from the inn.

As Elakashi and her father were riding through the streets of the capital, they heard screams and saw countless people running. "Guess we're just in time", Elakashi said as she jumped out of the carriage. "I'll be back father. Give me a few minutes to take care of this disturbance."

Elakashi used her Wind Magic to drastically increase her speed as she sprinted in the direction she believed the carnage was coming from. Suddenly, Elakashi heard an inhuman screech. It wasn't long until her eye caught the cause of all the chaos. A giant beast with elongated claws was slicing through the innocent civilians as they desperately attempted to escape. In all my years as an Interior Guard, I've never witnessed hell like this, Elakashi thought as she prepared for battle. She raised her arms and swiftly moved them to the side of her, resulting in the people in the beast's path suddenly being lifted in the air and landing behind Elakashi. She used her Wind Magic again to manipulate the air to strike the beast. "You are fighting me now."

Kiyonari had just finished relaying some information back to Jade when he felt a gust of wind, knocking the newspaper out of his hands. He looked up, and saw that an Interior Guardsmen was flying. That was when reality kicked in. Kiyonari noticed screams and smelled blood in the air. What is going on? he thought as he got out his chair and walked unto the street. I'm not sure if they are summoning creatures or Esoterics, but they do share the same source of power. Elakashi looked at the beast's vital points and pondered a way to attack. With the chaos in the nearby districts, Elakashi had to make a move quickly. It was heavily unlikely that the beast would look into her eye, thus rendering her Bloodline abilities useless. With a creature that big, and with all the people around her, Elakashi would be unable to use her Deoxygenation power effectively. So next was Ice Magic. Elakashi ran towards the beast and simultaneously creating ice in front of her in an attempt to freeze him. Next, Elakashi jumped into the air using Wind in order to gain the height advantage. She was flying directly at the beast.

Asteria felt as if she were fading in and out of consciousness. But in the process, two figures approached her. She looked at the first woman and said "No thanks, I'm feeling...a lot better now?" The feeling of dread suddenly left, and Asteria felt like nothing even happened. A strange man from the inn said something about him falling asleep and apologizing. Asteria pushed herself up and looked at both people. "I'm fine. She looked at the mage who said she was a Medic. "I don't necessarily posses common Sensory Magic, but there seems to be quite a disturbance on the other side of the city. I hear....screams." Her Wind Magic gave her the ability to detect disturbances in the air, but with her recent "episode" she wasn't sure if she was being delusional or if something was actually happening.

Baesu decided to test his magic, since it's literally been centuries since he last fought. He used Ice Magic to create statues of Dyfores Allegrodo and Yucella Esquoria. The entire process for both took about 30 seconds. "Seems I'm a little rusty." Baesu said as he looked at the ice statues. "But I may be able to assist in your campaign.

Jade meanwhile was attempting to breathe regularly. She took deep breaths and used her Ice Magic to lower her high temperature, and Wind Magic to help control breathing. It wasn't long until she went back to normal, or at least, somewhat normal. The sweat on her forehead now dissipated. Jade leaned back against the wall, and decided to talk from there. "That's pretty impressive." She muttered after looking at the ice statues.

the beast dodged the attack by jumping onto a building and stared straight at her it jaw opening and closing, hunger starting to take over. he roared a bloodcurdling screech that would hurt anyone's ears that was close. it stood there and waited for a few seconds before lunging at her when she got close. it using it strength to give it a boost to its jump, it tried to grab her to quickly get it over with before she could shatter it.

"I hear it too," she said helping the girl up "we need to head in there, try and help them, do what we can." she looked in the general direction of Legion. she quickly thought to herself "I could take them out, I'm close enough to cause therapy and plunge them straight into madness or I could earn their favor" she went over the thought as fast as she could hoping neither of them could read her mind or detect her true intentions. she was wearing a set of gloves to avoid skin contact in case anyone had that kinda magic."ill earn their favor and stab them in the back when it comes a time"

" i could have you practice against my creation, hopefully, we can shake off the rust" he looked at the man amazed then back at Jade getting up "you need to sit and rest, now, your body is still in a bad state" he hurried to jade side and almost forced her back down to the ground "i hate losing friends, so please sit, rest up" he smiled slightly to assure her "you still got to do this again so save up the mana"

The two women he was with both stated they heard screaming in the distance, he didn't hear it at first but when he strained his ears he could faintly hear it. "It seems rather far away, if we want to make it there we'd better hurry," Kishi put his mask back on and extended his arms upwards toward the room of the inn. Around both of his forearms a purple chain grew, spiraling around his arm before reaching his hands and launching out at a mind-boggling speeds. The chains imbedded themselves into the roof of the building and Kishi used them to quickly pull himself up to the rooftops. He started walking towards the sound of the screams using his chains to pull himself building to building.

After walking through town Izayoi arrived back at the estate. He walked up to the gate and pushed It open. When he walked in there was no one outside in front of he main building. He jumped up towards his office window on the third floor and climbed in, upon entrance he was greeted with a large stack of parchment.

As Elakashi began exploring more options, the beast charged right at her in an attempt to grab her. Damn it! Elakashi thought. With him charging at me, I won't have time for the Magic Suppression Seal, which leaves my last ditch effort in my eye. Elakashi decided to face the beast, and look directly at it. If the beast just glanced into her eyes for only a second, it would be enough to cast an illusion that could debilitate it for a while as she performed the Suppression Seal, which would prevent the flow of magic.

The Medic assisted Asteria in standing up. "Thank you," she said as she looked over at the man from the inn. He created purple chains and launched it, catapulting from the ground to a building and jumping the rooftops. I really wished I was able to touch him. I could have copied his power and went right went him. Oh well. She thought to herself. Asteria looked at the Medic, and said "I can fly using my Wind Magic. I can take you with me if you want; only thing I want in return is for you to hold my food. It's only three plates, which is far less than what I usually buy." Asteria gave the Medic a wide and genuine smile and extended her arms, holding the capital's exotic food in a bag.

Baesu Sayuga looked at the man with the coffin. "I appreciate the offer, however, before we continue, I would like to at least know your names. You know me, so may I ask who you all are?"

"I will have to do this again, two more times in fact. But I can only use the resurrection technique once a day. My medical magic won't speed up that process, unfortunately. I'll let you guys hang out with Baesu while I recover." Jade wanted to check in on Kiyonari, but Baesu asked what their names are. "I am Jade, of House Cheristi. I'm sure you've heard that name before."

Jade used her psychic link with Kiyonari. "Everything alright?" She asked.

"Kiyonari?"

"There's some sort of...creature fighting against the Interior Guard. It looks like a summoning that just...lost it."

Jade sighed. "That's really great. Now of all times. Any information on it?"

"Not yet, but there are several other creatures with it. Want me to step in?"

"I have no idea how much of a threat that creature is. Besides-" Jade stopped as she suddenly had an epiphany. "You can create a portal and teleport us to Kalingway. With my eye, I can remember everything about it, and I also have sensory magic. And with Baesu Sayuga revived, we can begin our next plan to take Yucella."

"I will create that portal, but are you in any position to fight? You seemed really exhausted when I was last here." Kiyonari replied.

"It's fine. But as long as I have mana left, I can still control Baesu. I think we should make our grand entrance, with that creature in the capital city of the empire being our first appearance! The people will see the Etira taking down a common threat, and from there, we will show them our true power."

"Nice thinking. Give me a few seconds."

Jade looked at the rest of the Etira. "Good news. We have a chance to go to Kalingway and take down a summoning beast. In the process, we can show ourselves as the savior of the people."

As soon as Jade finished, the familiar purple portal materialized. Jade looked at Cross, and tilted her head and smiled. "Are you going to let me go, sir?"

He looked at the man and bowed “I am cross oxwind of the Thanatos house, you may have met my grand grandfather” then jade told him to let go and freaked out a little “I’m super sorry, just trying to protect my friend” his voice seemed to have changed

“I’ll protect the food the best I can” she took hold of it “my name is hella by the way, could you tell me yours” she waited for her take her over

The beast is staring straight at her chest, aiming its next attack for her heart. It reached forward straight for her chest. It hunger giving it more strength to kill her. It desires driving it forward. As it kept building to building to reach her.

Flinging himself from building to building as fast as he could, he reached the source of the screams and saw the misshapen beast attacking a member of the Interior Guard. He glanced around and saw the bodies of some civilians, this angered Kishi. Two chains shot from a small magic circle near Kishi, the chains clashed with the ground in front of the Interior Guard causing a large plume of sediment to flick up. Not too long after and enraged Kishi slammed down in the same place. He stood up, a rather tall silhouette was visible through the sediment. As the cloud of dust cleared four chains lashed out and grabbed the beasts arms and legs, "Are you ready for a lynching?" As his words left his mouth he unleashed his Imposing Aura to fill the beast with life threatening fear.

I've never seen a summon go rampant, they usually rely on the summoner's mana," Ayano tilted her head in thought. Baesu had asked everyone's names which caused her to snap out of deep thought and reconnect to reality, "Oh, uh... I'm Ayano."

"and I'm The Archdemon of Ira, but you may call me Ira," the tall man with wings took a polite bow while greeting the old mage, "it is a pleasure to work with you."

"Thank you so much, Hella!" Asteria exclaimed. "My name's Asteria, I'm not from any major family. She wrapped her arms around Hella as she gathered the energy required to jump. "It might be a little rough at first, but it'll be much smoother later on." There was a loud boom noise as Asteria and Hella lifted off. When they got into the air, there was another loud bang as they began accelerating towards the sound of the screams. As they were flying, Asteria felt a lot more disturbances, and sighted what appeared to be Ice. "I like to consider myself an expert at flying. I've been practicing this for years now. We'll arrive soon"

Elakashi was fighting with the beast until it shattered like it was made of glass, literally. ...What just happened? Elakashi thought to herself. She saw a new strange aura that permeated with malice. The aura led back to a man who appeared to have chains. Another Esoteric, huh? I've never seen or heard of a house with chains as a Bloodline ability, or even as a signature ability. I'll talk to him later. Elakashi used her Ice Magic to form a curved wall to land on and skate back to the new mage who appeared. "Name's Elakashi, of House Cheristi. I have the Mind Awakening Seal," she said as he pointed to her eye. "It basically gives me sensory abilities, which I'll use as we fight and cover your back. Take care of yourself." Elakashi jumped right back into the action, flying towards the closest beast.

Etira Base

Baesu Sayuga looked at the mages who spoke for the first time since his summoning. "Greetings. Even in my day, it was rare to see an Archdemon. I also look forward to working with you, Ira and Ayano." Baesu bowed back. He turned to a mage called Cross Oxwind. "Ah, the Thanatos family. I've heard about them. They were up there with the Cheristi as a bothersome family. Nevermind that, let's go."

Jade heard what Cross said about his brother, and sensed his sadness when speaking about him. She didn't know much about Cross, or any of the Eitra besides Baesu and Kiyonari. She decided to stay quiet and walked towards the portal. "Kiyonari and I will be on the other side," Jade said as she walked into the portal leading to a rooftop on Kalingway. Jade put on her mask as she moved next to Kiyonari. "This is quite the mess," she said.
