The vast majority of cultures on Earth, such as Indo-Europeans, Turkic peoples and Hungarians, did not originate in their modern locations, and I'm sure your nations are no different. So where did your people come from? From a country next door? Another continent? Another planet? Perhaps even another dimension? The possibilities are endless. [Medwedian Democratic Federation]

The Medwedian ethnicity is a composite one.

The first Medwedians were Fenno-Uguric tribes which originated from an area east of the Urals. They intermixed with Vikings and, to a slightly smaller extent, Slavs during the formation of the First Five Duchies. The southern Medwedians, living in regions contested between the Medwedian duchies and those of Novogorod, Pskov and Muscovy for a long time, have a much stronger Slavic influx and, as a result of the medieval conflicts, a Mongolian and Tatarian one. During the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, significant numbers of Central Europeans arrived in Medwedia; mostly Austrians and Silesians.

Medwedia is a large country, and there are therefore significant ethnic differences within it. People in the Northwest for example are almost completely Nordic, with some Sami and Finnish stock, while central Medwedians are the most "mixed". In Medwedian Siberia and the Medwedian Far East, a small Asian admixture resulting from the assimilation of the various Siberian tribes can be noticed.

Nawawians were originated from Roman Muslim peoples in southern Italy who immigrated to these land and known as Nawawi on this day.

The Selkie have nothing but old myths to rely on.
According to those, the Selkie came from Lochlann, the Land of Seas, but they were chased away from there in times long before history was a thing. Depending on which myth one asks, there was either war, famine, disaster or any combination of those.
The Selkie then went to sea, following a prophecy to Tír Tairngiri, the Promised Lands, and actually arrived in Oilean na mBeo, the Land of the Living, which are, what we today call the Free Lands. Some say, that Oilean na mBeo is Tír Tairngiri.
In any case, where Lochlann was or is, is still debated amongst the wise men and it is unlikely, that they will find an answer.

While there is evidence of ancient tribes in the Mesa Dorada Valley area, those peoples have long since moved on. Modern Mesadoranos are primarily Dul-Prybournean, who brought their cultures with them during the colonization of the continent some four hundred years ago by the now-defunct Canter Republic.

Excalians aren't necessarily a people; more a mixed breed of Nordics, Germans, and Britons. These groups came together during the colonization of Excalibus in the 1300s, and still remain following Excalian independence from the UK in 1928.

The origin of the 'modern' Gandoorese people (that is, the current major ethnic groups) is a mixture of English settlement which began in the 16th century, along with large numbers of Japanese and Russian immigration which began during the 19th centuries. There are, of course, other ethnic groups that have settled into Gandoor (such as Koreans, who began immigrating here during the 1970s and now number over 26 million)

As far as the origins of the native Gandoorese people, the earliest human remains found in Gandoor date to ~40 thousand years ago and they are believed to have arrived to Gandoor from the Indonesian archipelago around this time period. Despite this ancient origin, however, the origins of what are commonly referred to as 'The Original Five Peoples' (referring to the five major native civilizations of Gandoor) only date back to the 14th century.

Ethnic Albydians are descended from Orthodox Englishmen who were exiled to "The Land Beyond the Sea of Reeds" by WIlliam the Conqueror. The modern country of Albydia is small compared to the maximum extent of the Albydian Empire in 1873. Albydia is even smaller when compared to the Albydian Diaspora that spread all across Africa from the late 1400s to the early 1700s due to the continuous religious strife that split the Albydian kingdoms into Christian and Muslim.

The country as a whole is composed of Ethnic Albydians, Somalis, Oromos, and some smaller minorities that compose 7% of the population such as Italians, Jews, White Americans, Latinos, and Asians.

The Kangyuli people originally came from the Kamchatka Peninsula and had occupied the Zhouranese archipelago in 40,000 BC.

Hundreds and thousands of years ago, during the Last Glacial Period in prehistoric times, a group of people known as the Kangyuli, occupied a large, empty archipelago in Northeast Asia after arriving from the Kamchatka Peninsula. Although considered Tungusic, the mysterious origin of the Kangyuli people and their Mongoloid-Caucasoid genetics that differs in nature to other Tungusic groups, has made some anthropologists think that the Kangyuli may either be descendants of a proto-Tungusic race that mixed with an ancient Caucasoid group, or are themselves proto-Tungusic that diverged from the Tungusic genetics tree. To this day, the Kangyuli people remain a genetic anomaly in East Asia while their exact origin remains a mystery to this day.

According to my factbook Vrolondia is made up of two dominant cultures, the Geldi and the Sacrian.

The Geldi migrated from another continent and settled the coast, displacing the native Sacrians to the interior plains and shrub lands. While the Geldi living along the coast became suited to a sedetary culture due to farming, the use of Chocobo's allowed the Sacrians to adapt to the plain environment in a semi-nomadic culture, in which they rely on hunting and ranching of Chocobo's, and occasionally sheep.

Geldi settlement in the plains and mountains, however, has caused a near constant conflict between the two cultures who are unable to fully assimilate or accept the other.

English is used as a universal trade language in the major coastal cities, predominantly between foreigners and Geldi merchants.

The first evidence of Cryptarite people came from the stories of Norse tribes in Sweden. According to these stories, men bearing the Cryptarite traits of white hair and broad build would come ashore on massive boats bearing exotic goods to trade and mingle with the villagers. In more dire villages, these Cryptarites would trade goods for wives, and were incredibly selective in the physical traits of extremely blonde hair and tallness. It was exceedingly rare that one of these ships would come as a raiding party, but when it did happen they would take metals, stored lumber, and unmarried women younger than 25.

This selective nature of early Cryptarites led to the modern Cryptarite ethnicity of nearly white hair, deep blue or even dark purple eyes, broad chest structure, and great height. Cryptarite men average at five inches taller than the global average.

It is suspected that the first Cryptarites entered Hartfelden around 5,000 years ago, much later than the other Germanic and Norse tribes. They would largely inhabit the Eastern Mountains undisturbed due to the isolated nature of the region, and only interacted with Swedish coastal villages and towns, exchanging materials for wives to supplement the dying female population. Any modern examples of ethnic Cryptarite women have black hair, though this genetic group became much more populous after the widespread witch trials committed by both the Teutonic Knights and Russian citizens.

The Subterranean Cities were devised to rescue human civilization from the rapidly deteriorating environmental and political situation. The Burning later saw most cultures erased from the surface. Wytirnikans are mostly desert people from the region but will take in survivors who will assimilate or accept a tributary relationship.

In 1995, a collective of musicians, artists, and dancers followed our first Rana, Daler Singh, to a land where there would be free to create their beautiful arts in peace. They came from many lands, pledging love and tolerance to one another and taking an oath of perpetual peace and harmlessness.

Cujodega's people came from Prussia, which is why our capital is called Pending Preußen. They came after the illegalization of meme farming. They came here because they thought they might find silver, hence the first name of Cujodega, Landesilbers. They came, began farming memes, and then accidentally stumbled upon diamonds. Küjo-Daga, now Cujodega, saw one of the world's biggest diamond rushes after this in 1747, and people came from all over Europe to find some. Now, we not only have Germans, we have Poles, Brits, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Dutch, Jews, and Italians because of this. Also, because of the strong Italian and French minorities, Cujodega has two major sects of Christianity here, Lutheranism and Catholicism. Mostly though, the Catholics live in the small province of Illican-dolan-sogér-trat-minoses-akariakrucks-olo-mintari-naso-mikade-shaka. (Hyphens added to help pronunciation, but no hyphens in actual name).

Anollasians have quite a diverse origin. The country was settled by Britain in 1650, followed immediately by the Ottoman Empire in 1655. There was a brief French occupation from 1677 to 1686, and there have been many international merchants in the country. Later on, the country also took immigrants from around the world. In conclusion, some are from the British Isles (English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish), some are from the former Ottoman Empire (Turkish, Greek, Arab, Armenian, Kurdish, Slavic, etc.), some are of French origin, some are of Spanish/Portuguese/Italian origin (due to traders/merchants), some are immigrants from around the world. There has also been a lot of ethnic mixing, so ancestries can get a bit blurred.

Most of the Severyans are of Russian descent as the Federation of Severya was founded after imperial Russians colonized the islands.
There are also many indigenous tribes, who had been living in the Severyan Islands long before the Russians colonized them.
Quite a few foreign nationals also live in Severya, brought here by the opportunities that our country presents.

The first Hanatayans were a mix of settlers : nordics, germans, and indonesians. There wasn't any indigenous on the island. As a result, a native is someone from the first boat. It is supposed that they were pagans or rejected by their nation, as such a trip to the Pacific was pure madness.

[Korasta]

The ethnic Korastan populace (excluding the mostly Greek majority up North) is essentially the result of several millennia of interbreeding, migration and culture shifting. Ignoring the actual settlement history of the island itself, Korasta is mostly descended from Greek settlers and later Italian immigrants, dating from the 9th and 15th centuries respectively. Over time, this led to a new ethnic, cultural and linguistic group being created; Korastans.

[Seleyah]

Seleyah has in reality a mixed population, with a mixed heritage linking its population to several European and Asian countries. However Seleyah was founded by British settlers from the United Kingdom and as such it's foundation myths and constitution idealise its British heritage.

In truth Seleyahns of British ancestry (or Anglo-Seleyahns) form the bulk of the population. There is a large Asian population particularly in the capital Adelford. The largest minority is the large Aboriginal population. However both Asians and Aboriginals have historically been marginalised and are not considered archetypical Seleyahns.

The European population is descended from the original settlers and from more recent migrants from Britain. The Anglo-Protestant nature of this group is empathised and most would claim either "Seleyahn", "British" or more specifically English ancestry. Those of Irish ancestry make up the second largest grou. There have been significant inputs from other parts of Europe (especially Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Poland and the Ukraine).
