I just watched the BBC's adaptation of Small Island. Depressing ending.

The BBC's Les Miserables. Cosette called a woman a "nosy old bitch", so this is now the best adaptation. Even if there is no singing.

Mind Your Language

Many have claimed it to be racist (supposedly why the show was cancelled) but while it is stereotypical, it doesn't paint any of the characters in a negative light. In fact, they're very endearing and quirky, which is part what makes this show so hilarious (and is great at pointing out the absurdities of the English language).

One of my favourite shows. Also watching that now. I don’t find it racist though. But I have seen many in comments sections pointing out how this show would be widely hated now for its ‘racism.’
