A lot of other people had news threads, thought I'd make one for myself. This is an IC thread; if the news seems a bit off, or even biased, that's because it is ICly too. Not everything here will necessarily be reported accurately to what is actually going on in canon, but it will accurately represent what the Cult of the Black Beast is saying is happening.

Slaves Rescued From Argustrian Plantation, Slave Owner Shot Dead

In a decisive blow against the wretched terror of slavery, a respectable number of our intrepid agents heroically risked life, limb, and prison in a most daring enterprise through a stately plantation in South Western Argustria. For the safety of all involved in this heroic deed, the names of the liberators and slaves shall not be revealed. The raid, which did occur in the chilling dead of night, transpired when upon the intrepid agents surreptitiously entered the onerous compound, and thereupon set forth picking the locks to the slaves quarters. Unfortunately, as it would happen, the enslaver's canine companion heard the heroic deed as it occurred, and the vociferous barking of this beast awakened the tyrannical slave owner, who clutched his blunderbuss and happened upon the scene. Thanks to the nimble, expedient actions of one of our agents, and their adroit aim, the wicked and immoral slave owner was put down by a pistol shot.

Racist Mayor Assassinated, You Can Thank Us Later

---

Oswald Von Krauss, mayor and noted racist, is finally deceased. The head government position of the moderately populated town of Riksburg, Von Krauss was accumulating following behind his viewpoint, and had been campaigning with the nobility for his continued appointment as mayor. His views have been polarizing, and he has been quoted as saying "Catfolk, the coffee-drinking sand whores, should remain in Topal-Ji! We never should have gone to help them against the Cult of War, and we should deport the lot of those bloody felines back to the desert!", and has also requested for violent lynchings against various non-humans. Noting the wretchedness of this man, and the travesty that would occur should he continue to hold the position of mayor, we have deemed it necessary to take action preventing this, as for many, his position as mayor would continue to legitimize his racist beliefs. We have already attempted an assassination on Von Krauss in Golddew, using a carriage bomb, but as misfortune would have, the vile and detestable man was not present for the attempt. We attempted again on the 1st of Cloudburst, and again misfortune struck her wily blow when the only person killed was a body double employed by Von Krauss. Fortune shown in our favor on this day, when our attempt was fruitful, and our assassin, who shall remain unnamed so as to protect their identity, let loose an arrow clean through the would-be despot's eye. On the morrow, we shall celebrate.
